Influential Intensity of Urban Agglomeration on Evolution of Ecoenvironmental Pressure:A Case Study of Changchun,China显示文摘In this paper,we study the interactive relationship between the agglomeration of urban elements and the evolution of eco-environmental pressure. We build an index system for evaluating the agglomeration of urban elements and eco-environmental pressure.Using the entropy method and response intensity model,we analyze how urban elements agglomeration influenced eco-environmental pressure in Changchun from 1990 to 2012,eliciting the changing features and influential factors.Ultimately,we conclude there is a significant interactive relationship between the agglomeration of urban elements and the evolution of eco-environmental pressure in Changchun. This is inferred from the degree of this agglomeration in Changchun having increased since 1990,with the degree of eco-environmental pressure first decreasing and then increasing.Alongside this, the impact of urban elements agglomeration on eco-environmental pressure has changed from negative to positive. The main reasons behind this shift are arguably the rapid growth of urban investment and ongoing urbanization. | LIU Yanjun ZHANG Jing LI Chenggu ZHOU Guolei FU Zhanhui LIU Degang | 2017 | Chinese Geographical Science2017,27,4: | 2

Green Development for Supporting Sustainability of Northeast China:Performance Quantification,Spatio-temporal Dynamics and Implications显示文摘Green development is the cognition of geography to human-nature nexus under the background of the new era.As China is facing various eco-environment problems, green development has become a key approach towards ecological progress, and it is ultimately an explicit means to respond to support sustainable development in China.Quantifying green development performance is essential to track efforts towards sustainability and guide policymakers. However, applying the balanced property of’Economy-Ecology-Society’of green development to its performance assessment is rarely discussed. Here we elaborated the connotation of green development and developed a quantification model with coupling coordination degree to assess green development performance of the largest old industrial base of China,Northeast China. We found that the green development performance has been improved from a score of 0.443 in 2003 to 0.530 in 2019 but the disparities of green development performance were enlarging over time, especially for the cities in Heilongjiang.A positive spatial autocorrelation phenomenon of green development performance was confirmed, and Low-Low clusters in the northeastern Heilongjiang and High-High clusters in the central-eastern Liaoning were discovered. This study suggests the need to track the spatio-temporal dynamics of green development performance to provide references for achieving sustainable development goals in northeast China and other regions. | FAN Weiguang ZHANG Pingyu TONG Lianjun LI Chenggu LI Xin LI Jing MA Zuopeng | 2022 | Chinese Geographical Science2022,32,3: | 0
Efficient lignin biodegradation triggered by alkali-tolerant ligninolytic bacteria through improving lignin solubility in alkaline solution显示文摘Low lignin solubility in aqueous solution is one of the major bottlenecks for lignin biodegradation and bioconversion.Alkaline solution contributes to improving lignin solubility, whereas most microbes can not survive in alkaline conditions.Herein, lignin dissolution behaviors in different pH solutions were systematically investigated, which indicated that solution pH above 10.5 contributed to high solubility of alkali lignin. To match with alkaline lignin aqueous system, several alkali-tolerant ligninolytic bacteria were isolated, most of which are distinct to previously reported ones. Then, the ligninolytic capabilities of these isolates were assessed in different pH conditions by determining their assimilation on alkali lignin,lignin-derived monomers and dimers, their decolorization capabilities, and their lignin peroxidase activities.Thereafter, the underlying ligninolytic and alkali-tolerant mechanisms of Sutcliffiella sp.NC1,an alkalophilic bacterium, was analyzed on the basis of its genome information. The results not only provide valuable information for lignin biodegradation and lignin valorization, but also expand knowledge on alkali-tolerant bacteria. | Zhaoxian Xu Jie Li Pingping Li Chenggu Cai Sitong Chen Boning Ding Shuangmei Liu Mianshen Ge Mingjie Jin | 2023 | Journal of Bioresources and Bioproducts2023,8,4: | 0
Influences of Different Transport Routes and Road Nodes on Industrial Land Conversion: A Case Study of Changchun City of Jilin Province, China显示文摘Nowadays, urban transit system has become one of the major forces underlying urban pace transformation via changing accessibility of related land parcels, which leads to the changes of land value and land use structure. This paper studied the interaction between land use changes and related transport routes, particular about how different transport routes and road nodes influence the conversion of industrial lands to residential and commercial uses respectively. Taking Changchun, an old industrial city in the rust belt of China as a case of study, we explored and compared the influences of different transport routes and road nodes on industrial land conversion. We found that surrounding the studied transport routes, more industrial lands were replaced by residential lands than by commercial lands. Also, apparent differences exist in the corridor effects of different transport routes(i.e., light rail, expressway and trunk road) and road nodes(i.e., expressway nodes and trunk road nodes) while the industrial lands convert to residential and commercial uses. Our research findings help us to illuminate the interactive relationships between transportation and industrial land conversion in old industrial cities which are undergoing social, economic and the related urban transition in Northeast China. | ZHANG Suwen LI Chenggu MA Zuopeng LI Xin | 2020 | Chinese Geographical Science2020,30,3: | 0
Uneven Distribution of Primary and Middle Schools:A Case Study of Changchun,China显示文摘Providing further knowledge to and refinement of public facility location theory, this paper focuses on the distribution of basic educational facilities in China. The aim towards an equilibrium in the distribution of education resources has captured widespread attention in recent years. The basis of an education equilibrium is the balanced distribution of teaching facilities.Using the spatial analysis function of ArcGIS,this article discusses the evolution characteristics of education equilibrium and explores its dynamics with reference to primary and middle schools in Changchun City,Jilin Province from 2007 to 2013.The study found the spatial distribution of primary and middle schools in Changchun was uneven and the characteristic of close internal but sparse external has not changed.Low-level equilibrium of primary and middle schools in Changchun has been basically realized, but high-level equilibrium is far from being realized.Although there has been a trend towards suburbanization of these schools in recent years, the high entrance threshold has determined that high-quality school opportunity(schools with high-level resource allocation)has not increased for people. The spatial distribution of primary and middle schools is related to the factors of population, real estate, transportation and the education system itself.Education space, living space, and traffic space all interact and together affect urban spatial structure. | YAN Qing LI Chenggu ZHANG Jing MA Zuopeng LUO Fenglong | 2018 | Frontiers of Education in China2018,13,4: | 0
