1Indications of stratospheric anomalies in the freezing rain and snow disaster in South China,2008显示文摘NCEP/NCAR reanalysis data were used to characterize stratospheric temperature and water-vapor anomalies before and after the freezing rain and snow disaster of South China in 2008,and the influence of stratospheric circulation anomalies on the troposphere.Stratospheric temperature and water-vapor anomalies provided good leading indicators of this weather event.The period from December 1st 2007 to February 28th 2008 was divided into 18 pentads.During the 6th pentad,temperature decreased significantly at 10 hPa in the near-polar stratospheric region,and the decreasing trend strengthened and extended downward and southward to middle and lower latitudes.During the 14th-18th pentads,the temperature decrease reached its maximum and extended to 30°N.This coincided with the widespread freezing rain and snow event.By the end of January 2008,the temperature decrease ended in the near-polar stratospheric region,but continued in the mid-latitude area of the troposphere as the freezing rain and snow weather persisted.Similar to the temperature variations,positive anomalies of relative humidity in the stratospheric near-polar region also strengthened and extended downward and southward,coinciding with the freezing rain and snow event.Along with the significant relationship between the freezing rain and snow disaster and stratospheric circulation anomalies,the stratospheric polar vortex changed its shape in late December,intensifying and spreading downward from the top of the stratosphere and southward to the Asian continent,resulting in a deepening of the East Asian Trough and a strengthening of meridional circulation.Before the occurrence of the freezing rain and snow event,temperature and vapor increases in the stratosphere transferred downward to the troposphere,along with a stratospheric flow in the near-polar region southward to lower latitudes.CHEN QuanLiang LI Zhan FAN GuangZhou ZHU KeYun ZHANG Wen ZHU HongQin 2011Science China Earth Sciences2011,54,8:5
2Control system for cryogenic permanent magnet undulator(CPMU)of high energy photon source(HEPS)显示文摘Background High energy photon source(HEPS)is the fourth-generation light source,which uses a large number of highperformance insertion devices to generate synchrotron radiation.The control system is an important part of the insertion device(ID).Purpose Cryogenic permanent magnet undulator(CPMU)is one kind of IDs that works in liquid nitrogen temperature and ultra-high vacuum environment,and its control system is more difficult and complex than in-air ID.The design of the control system for CPMU will be introduced in detail.Method The sub-systems include high-precision magnetic gap control,safety protection,measurement and compensation of magnetic gap at cryogenic temperature and cryogenic temperature monitoring.Mature,reliable,stable technical schemes are designed to meet the technical specifications of sub-systems.Results The experiment results show that the magnetic gap motion accuracy can be controlled within 0.2–0.3μm under the step size of 1μm.The safety protection system has been tested in turn,and the predetermined protection can be achieved.The average value of magnetic gap cold contraction is 1.512 mm measured by optical micrometer,and the compensation is realized by software.The average temperature of the main magnet structure measured by the temperature sensors is 81.0 K,and the temperature gradient is 0.7 K/m.The temperature monitoring is reliable and stable.Conclusion The CPMU control system which is based on EPICS has been successfully applied to the CPMU prototype,and the test results have met the design specifications.Shutao Zhao Jianshe Cao Huihua Lu Xiaoyu Li Shuchen Sun Yajun Sun Xiangzhen Zhang Lei Zhang Yuhui Li Zhiqiang Li Wan Chen Lingling Gong Qing Guo Keyun Gong Yongsheng Huang Yanwei Yang Yufeng Yang 2021Radiation Detection Technology and Methods2021,5,1:2
3City Size,Population Concentration and Productivity: Evidence from China显示文摘This paper investigates the impact of China's city size and urban population concentration on city productivity by developing a distinctive index based on global nighttime light data.Using the panel data of 280 prefecture cities from 2004 to 2013 and employing dynamic system generalized method of moments and panel threshold model regression techniques,our results show that city size has a positive impact on city productivity;therefore,cities in China still have the potential to expand.While moderate urban population concentration can benefit city productivity,excessively concentrated urban population distribution may impede the growth of city productivity.We also find that the level of labor income significantly affects the impacts of urban agglomeration on labor productivity.Therefore,our results imply that city development policies should focus more on how to appropriately allocate economic activities and adjust population distribution in urban areas according to different stages of economic development.Jie Shen Chunlai Chen Mengyu Yang Keyun Zhang 2019China & World Economy2019,27,1:2
4Mechanical design of a cryogenic Delta-Knot undulator for high energy photon source显示文摘Introduction A novel type of pure permanent cryogenic Delta–Knot Undulator was developed at IHEP to supply a high flux of full adjustable polarization synchrotron radiation with low on-axis power density.This prototype was an active attempt and early exploration for future APPLE–Knot undulator,which will be used at high energy photon source(HEPS).Materials and methods There are several challenges to develop a cryogenic delta undulator,such as the complicated structure,the influence of large magnetic force,and the magnetic measurement difficulty due to the very small gap.In this paper,the mechanical design for overcoming these difficulties will be presented in detail.Conclusion A special hall measuring system is developed,and the preliminary results agree with the theoretical results.This undulator prototype will provide valuable experience for angle magnetization technology,intricate magnetic attraction structure design,and magnetic field measurement under closed small space.Shuchen Sun Huihua Lu Xiaoyu Li Xiangzhen Zhang Yanwei Yang Yajun Sun Lei Zhang Yuhui Li Zhiqiang Li Wan Chen Lingling Gong Shutao Zhao Qing Guo Keyun Gong Yongsheng Huang Yufeng Yang 2021Radiation Detection Technology and Methods2021,5,1:1
