5Genetic control of compound leaf development in the mungbean(Vigna radiata L.)显示文摘Many studies suggest that there are distinct regulatory processes controlling compound leaf development in different clades of legumes.Loss of function of the LEAFY(LFY)orthologs results in a reduction of leaf complexity to different degrees in inverted repeat-lacking clade(IRLC)and non-IRLC species.To further understand the role of LFY orthologs and the molecular mechanism in compound leaf development in non-IRLC plants,we studied leaf development in unifoliate leaf(un)mutant,a classical mutant of mungbean(Vigna radiata L.),which showed a complete conversion of compound leaves into simple leaves.Our analysis revealed that UN encoded the mungbean LFY ortholog(VrLFY)and played a significant role in leaf development.In situ RNA hybridization results showed that STM-like KNOXI genes were expressed in compound leaf primordia in mungbean.Furthermore,increased leaflet number in heptafoliate leaflets1(hel1)mutants was demonstrated to depend on the function of VrLFY and KNOXI genes in mungbean.Our results suggested that HEL1 is a key factor coordinating distinct processes in the control of compound leaf development in mungbean and its related non-IRLC legumes.Keyuan Jiao Xin Li Shihao Su Wuxiu Guo Yafang Guo Yining Guan Zhubing Hu Zhenguo Shen Da Luo 2019Horticulture Research2019,6,1:2

10Identification and Characterization of a Distinct Strain of Beak and Feather Disease Virus in Southeast China显示文摘Beak and feather disease virus(BFDV) is an infectious agent responsible for feather degeneration and beak deformation in birds. In March 2017, an epidemic of psittacine beak and feather disease(PBFD) struck a farm in Fuzhou in the Fujian Province of southeast China, resulting in the death of 51 parrots. In this study, the disease was diagnosed and the pathogen was identified by PCR and whole genome sequencing. A distinct BFDV strain was identified and named as the FZ strain.This BFDV strain caused severe disease symptoms and pathological changes characteristic of typical PBFD in parrots, for example, loss of feathers and deformities of the beak and claws, and severe pathological changes in multiple organs of the infected birds. Phylogenetic analysis showed that the FZ strain was more closely related to the strain circulating in New Caledonia than the strains previously reported in China. Nucleotide homology between the FZ strain and other 43 strains of BFDV ranged from 80.0% to 92.0%. Blind passage experiment showed that this strain had limited replication capability in SPF Chicken Embryos and DF-1 Cells. Furthermore, the capsid(Cap) gene of this FZ strain was cloned into the p GEX-4 T-1 expression vector to prepare the polyclonal anti-Cap antibody. Western blotting analysis using the anti-Cap antibody further confirmed that the diseased parrots were infected with BFDV. 20Clinical value of ^(18)F-FDG PET/CT in assessing suspicious relapse after rectal cancer resection显示文摘AIM:To evaluate the value of 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography(18F-FDG PET/CT) in the restaging of resected rectal cancer.METHODS:From January 2007 to Sep 2008,21 patients who had undergone curative surgery resection for rectal carcinoma with suspicious relapse in conventional imaging or clinical findings were retrospectively enrolled in our study.The patients underwent 28 PET/CT scans(two patients had two scans,one patient had three and one had four scans).Locoregional recurrences and/or distant metastases were confirmed by histological analysis or clinical and imaging follow-up.RESULTS:Final diagnosis was confirmed by histopathological diagnosis in 12 patients(57.1) and by clinical and imaging follow-up in nine patients(42.9).Eight patients had extrapelvic metastases with no evidence of pelvic recurrence.Seven patients had both pelvic recurrence and extrapelvic metastases,and two patients had pelvic recurrence only.18F-FDG PET/CT was negative in two patients and positive in 19 patients.18F-FDG PET/CT was true positive in 17 patients and false positive in two.The accuracy of 18F-FDG PET/CT was 90.5,negative predictive value was 100,and positive predictive value was 89.5.Five patients with perirectal recurrence underwent 18F-FDG PET/CT image guided tissue core biopsy.18F-FDG PET/CT also guided surgical resection of pulmonary metastases in three patients and monitored the response to salvage chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy in four patients.CONCLUSION:18F-FDG PET/CT is useful for evaluating suspicious locoregional recurrence and distant metastases in the restaging of rectal cancer after curative resection.Long Sun,Wei-Min Pan,Zuo-Ming Luo,Ji-Hong Wei,Long Zhao,Hua Wu,Minnan PET Center and Department of Nuclear Medicine,the First Hospital of Xiamen University,Xiamen 316003,Fujian Province,China Yong-Song Guan,State Key Laboratory of Biotherapy,West China Medical School,Sichuan University,Gaopeng Street,Keyuan Road 4,Chengdu 610041,Sichuan Province,China 2009World Journal of Gastrointestinal Oncology2009,1,1:1
