2Three-Dimensional Heat Transfer Analysis for A Thermal Energy Storage Canister显示文摘High temperature latent thermal storage is one of the critical techniques for a solar dynamic power system. This paper presents results from heat transfer analysis of a phase change salt containment canister A three-dimensional analysis program is developed to model heat transfer in a PCM canister. Analysis include effects of asymmetric circumference heat flux, conduction in canister walls, liquid PCM and solid PCM, void volume change and void location, and conduction and radiation across PCM vapor void. The PCM phase change process is modeled using the enthalpy method and the simulation results are compared with those of other two- dimensional investigations. 3Fruit and vegetable consumption,cardiovascular disease,and all-cause mortality in China显示文摘Evidence about the response patterns of fruit and vegetable consumption with the risk of cardiovascular disease(CVD)and allcause mortality was inconsistent.These associations were examined using a large-scale,population-based Chinese cohort comprising 100,728 participants.A food-frequency questionnaire was used to assess fruit and vegetable consumption.Outcomes were ascertained by interviewing individuals or their proxies and checking hospital records or death certificates.Cox proportional hazards regression was used to calculate hazard ratios(HRs)with 95% confidence intervals(CIs).At the 736,668 person-years of follow-up,3,677 CVD cases and 5,466 deaths were identified.The multivariable-adjusted HRs for CVD across increasing quartiles of total fruit and vegetable consumption were 1(reference),0.94(95%CI=0.85-1.04),0.89(95%CI=0.80-0.98),and 0.85(95%CI=0.77-0.95).Moreover,participants in the highest quartile displayed a 13% lower risk of all-cause mortality(HR=0.87;95%CI=0.80-0.95).A nonlinear dose-response relation was found for CVD,without additional benefits beyond a consumption of600 g d-1,whereas the all-cause mortality risk decreased along with higher consumption,with a linear trend.These associations remained significant for fruit consumption but not for vegetable consumption.Our findings indicated that greater fruit and vegetable consumption was significantly associated with a lower risk of CVD and all-cause mortality.Increasing fruit and vegetable consumption,especially fruit,in the general population would prevent CVD and premature mortality.Jun Wang Fangchao Liu Jianxin Li Keyong Huang Xueli Yang Jichun Chen Xiaoqing Liu Jie Cao Shufeng Chen Chong Shen Ling Yu Fanghong Lu Xianping Wu Liancheng Zhao Ying Li Dongsheng Hu Jianfeng Huang Dongfeng Gu Xiangfeng Lu 2022Science China(Life Sciences)2022,65,1:8
4Artificial facial nerve reflex restores eyelid closure following orbicularis oculi muscle denervation显示文摘To date,treatment of peripheral facial paralysis has focused on preservation of facial nerve integrity.However,with seriously damaged facial nerve cases,it is difficult to recover anatomical and functional integrity using present therapies.Therefore,the present study utilized artificial facial nerve reflex to obtain orbicularis oculi muscle(OOM) electromyography signals on the uninjured side through the use of implanted recording electrodes.The implanted electrical chips analyzed facial muscle motion on the uninjured side and triggered an electrical stimulator to emit current pulses,which resulted in stimulation of injured OOM contraction and maintained bilateral symmetry and consistency.Following signal recognition,extraction,and computer analysis,electromyography signals in the uninjured OOM resulted in complete eyelid closure,which was consistent with the voltage threshold for eye closure.These findings suggested that artificial facial nerve reflex through the use of implanted microelectronics in unilateral peripheral facial paralysis could restore eyelid closure following orbicularis oculi muscle denervation.Yujuan Wang Keyong Li Jingquan Liu Dongyue Xu Yuefeng Rui Chunsheng Yang 2010Neural Regeneration Research2010,5,22:3
5Thermodynamic Functions and Phase Transformation of Metal Nanocrystals显示文摘A model to calculate the thermodynamic functions of the pure metal nanocrystals has been developed, with theconsideration of the effects of both the interfaces and the crystal in the nano-grain interior. As an example, theenthalpy, entropy and Gibbs free energy, as functions of the excess free volume at interfaces, temperature and grainsize, are calculated for the Co nanocrystals. Furthermore, the characteristics of phase transformationare studied, and the transformation temperatures at different levels of grain size, as well as the critical grain sizes atdifferent temperatures, are predicted. The calculation results show that, the nano-grained β-Co (fcc) is thermody-namically stable at temperatures much lower than that for the conventional coarse-grained materials, and may alsostably exist at room temperature when the grain size is reduced to be small enough. 6Factors Controlling Deposition of Metallic Minerals in the Meng’entaolegai Ag-Pb-Zn Deposit, Inner Mongolia, China: Evidence from Fluid Inclusions, Isotope Systematics, and Thermodynamic Model显示文摘The Meng’entaolegai Ag-Pb-Zn vein-type deposit in Inner Mongolia,NE China is hosted in biotite/muscovite granite.This deposit includes the western(Zn-rich,deepest),middle(Zn-Pb rich)and eastern(Pb-Ag-rich,shallowest)ore-blocks.To better understand the metallogenic processes in ore district,we have undertaken a series of studies including fluid inclusion microthermometry,H-O-S-Pb isotope compositions and thermodynamic modeling.Based on fluid inclusion petrography,microthermometry results and HO isotope compositions,the ore-forming H2O-NaCl fluid inclusions are characterized by medium temperature and medium salinity.And two kinds of fluid processes(boiling in western and middle ore-block and fluid mixing in the eastern ore-block)were identified to explain the ore fluid evolution.More importantly,log ?O2-pH diagrams of δ^34S contours with the stability fields of Fe-and Cu-,Zn-,Pb-,and Ag-bearing minerals were constructed to restore the physicochemical conditions of ore-forming fluid in the western(270℃ and 80 bars),middle(250℃ and 70 bars),and eastern(230℃ and 50 bars)ore-blocks.As a result,the ore-forming conditions in the western and middle ore-block were similar.In the eastern ore-block,the fluids may have changed from acidic,S-poor and δ^34S(ΣS)≈2.8 to neutral,S-richer and δ^34S(ΣS)≈0.5,which imply that neutral S-rich meteoric water was mixed with the magmatic fluid.Meanwhile,the activity of Ag+was estimated to be about 10 ppm–9 ppm in the middle ore-block,but in the eastern ore-block it was about^10 ppm–12 ppm.We proposed that the key for Ag ore deposition was likely to be neutralization led by fluid mixing.He Yang Wanli Ma Rui Wang Xueli Ma Keyong Wang 2020Journal of Earth Science2020,31,2:2
7Adverse associations of sedentary behavior with cancer incidence and all-cause mortality:A prospective cohort study显示文摘Background:Inconsistent results have been reported in developed countries for relationships between sedentary behavior and cancer incidence and mortality,and evidence from the Chinese population is scarce.This study aimed to investigate such relationships in large Chinese population-based prospective cohorts and to explore the joint effect and interaction of sedentary behavior and moderate-to-vigorous physical activity(MVPA)on these relationships.Methods:We included 95,319 Chinese adults without cancer from 3 large cohorts and assessed their sedentary behavior and physical activity with a unified questionnaire.Cancer incidence and mortality were confirmed by interviewing participants or their proxies and checking hospital records and death certificates.Hazard ratios(HRs)and 95%confidence intervals(95%CIs)for cancer and mortality were estimated using Cox proportional hazards regression models.Results:During 559,002 person-years of follow-up,2388 cancer events,1571 cancer deaths,and 4562 all-cause deaths were recorded.Sedentary behavior was associated with increased risk of developing cancer and deaths in a doseresponse manner.The multivariable-adjusted HRs(95%CIs)were the following:HR=1.16,95%CI:1.01-1.33;HR=1.24,95%CI:1.04-1.48;and HR=1.15,95%CI:1.04-1.28 for cancer incidence,cancer mortality,and all-cause mortality,respectively,for those having≥10 h/day of sedentary time compared with those having<6 h/day of sedentary time.Sedentary populations(≥10 h/day)developed cancer or died 4.09 years and 2.79 years earlier,respectively,at the index age of 50 years.Failure to achieve the recommended level of MVPA may further aggravate the adverse associations,with the highest cancer and mortality risks being observed among participants with both≥10 h/day of sedentary time and<150 min/week of MVPA.Limitations of this study include the fact that physical activity information was obtained via questionnaire instead of objective measurement and that there were insufficient incident cases for the analysis of associations between sedentary behavior and site-specific cancers.Conclusion:Sedentary behavior was associated with an increased risk of cancer and all-cause mortality among Chinese adults,especially for those with≥10 h/day of sedentary time.It is necessary to reduce sedentary time,in addition to increasing MVPA levels,for the prevention of cancer and premature death.Yuan Lin Qiong Liu Fangchao Liu Keyong Huang Jianxin Li Xueli Yang Xinyan Wang Jichun Chen Xiaoqing Liu Jie Cao Chong Shen Ling Yu Fanghong Lu Xianping Wu Liancheng Zhao Ying Li Dongsheng Hu Xiangfeng Lu Jianfeng Huang Dongfeng Gu 2021Journal of Sport and Health Science2021,10,5:2

9Controlling factors of sphalerite and galena deposition in Baiyinnuo er skarn deposit, Inner Mongolia, China显示文摘The temperature,pH,f O 2 and Cl-activity have been considered to be significant physicochemical parameters which controlled sulphide mineralization.Especially,the change of pH is considered to play one of the key roles in skarn deposit because of the involvement of marble.But few scholars have evaluated the impact of each parameter on mineralization.In this study,the authors have constructed thermodynamic model,calculated the important aqueous species activities in Baiyinnuo er deposit,and evaluated the influence of these parameters on the solubility of Pb and Zn.The results show that the log f O 2 decreased from-33.834 to-39.256,pH decreased from 4.0 to 3.7 and the Cl-activity increased from 0.25 to 0.30 in the main mineralization stage.The effect of f O 2 was readily ruled out because the reaction of Pb and Zn precipitation did not involve changes in the valence of the element.The decreased pH was impossible to be a mineralization factor,which was confirmed by metal solubility evaluation.The Cl-activity was also considered to be a negative factor.In fact,the dominant factor of mineralization was temperature,not the combination of various parameters as previously thought.Even in the skarn stage,the main factor to make the metal solubility>10%was also the high temperature.A significant increase in pH only occurred in the post-ore stage in response to the production of large amount of calcite.MA Wanli YANG He WANG Keyong 2020Global Geology2020,23,3:1
10Temporal trend in mortality of cardiovascular diseases and its contribution to life expectancy increase in China, 2013 to 2018显示文摘Backgrounds::Cardiovascular disease(CVD)remains the leading cause of deaths nationwide.However,little is understood about its temporal trend and corresponding influence on longevity improvements.We aimed to describe the updated tendency in CVD mortality and to quantify its impact on life expectancy(LE)increase in China.Methods::All-cause mortality rates were calculated with population sizes from the National Bureau of Statistics and death counts from the National Health Commission.We estimated CVD mortality rates by allocating age-and sex-based mortality envelopes to each CVD subtype based on its proportion derived from the Disease Surveillance Points system.The probability of CVD premature deaths and LE were calculated with life tables and we adopted Arriaga’s method to quantitate age-and cause-specific contributions to LE gains.Results::During 2013 to 2018,the age-standardized mortality rate of CVD decreased from 289.69(95%confidence interval[CI]:289.03,290.35)/100,000 to 272.37(95%CI:271.81,272.94)/100,000,along with a decline in probability of CVD premature deaths from 9.05%(95%CI:9.02%,9.09%)to 8.13%(95%CI:8.10%,8.16%).The gap in CVD mortality across sexes expanded with more remarkable declines in females,especially for those aged 15 to 64 years.Among major subtypes,the probability of premature deaths from hemorrhage stroke declined fastest,while improvements of ischemic stroke and ischemic heart disease were limited,and there was an increase in stroke sequelae.LE in China reached 77.04(95%CI:76.96,77.12)years in 2018 with an increase of 1.38 years from 2013.Of the total LE gains,21.15%(0.29 years)were attributed to reductions of CVD mortality in the overall population,mostly driven by those aged>65 years.Conclusions::The general process in reducing CVD mortality has contributed to longevity improvements in China.More attention should be paid to prevention and control of atherosclerotic CVD and stroke sequelae,especially for the elderly.Working-age males also deserve additional attention due to inadequate improvements.Xue Xia Yue Cai Xiang Cui Ruixian Wu Fangchao Liu Keyong Huang Xueli Yang Xiangfeng Lu Shiyong Wu Dongfeng Gui 2022Chinese Medical Journal2022,135,17:1

12Food Supply Values and Their Factors of Three Pond Aquaculture Ecosystems: A Case Study of Shanghai显示文摘Studies on food supply values,the basis of eco-service values,and their factors of different pond aquaculture ecosystems are helpful to explain the influences of the inputted factors and their variations among these ecosystems and provide information for stakeholders to adjust their decisions and behaviors to increase their total eco-service values. On the basis of continued records from 2011 to 2012 of 18 ponds of three pond aquaculture ecosystems,namely Litopenaeus vannamei,Macrobrachium nippponensis and carp fresh water pond aquaculture ecosystems in Qingpu,Fengxian,and Jiading,three suburban districts of Shang,this paper analyzed the costs,returns,net food supply values and their regional and temporal fluctuations. The results showed that:(1) the net food supply values of the three ecosystems are 143252. 4,135883. 7,and 52623. 1Yuan /Ha in 2011 correspondently,with the Litopenaeus vannamei pond aquaculture ecosystem(LVPAE) ranking highest and the carp pond aquaculture ecosystem(CPAE) lowest among them,and the trend was same in 2012,but the values decreased than that of 2011 with the rate of 30. 0%( LVPAE),38. 0 %( Macrobrachium nippponensis pond aquaculture ecosystem,MNPAE) and 13. 7 %( CPAE).(2)The dominant factors of the net food supply values of these ecosystems are the produce price and variable costs; fry and feed costs are the main variable factors producing the noticeable difference among the ecosystems.(3) The cost- benefit ratio of per unit product of the CPAE,LVPAE and MNPAE changed from 27. 5%,91. 7%,129. 0% in 2011 to 23. 0%,73. 8% and 63. 8% in 2012,with the CPAE ranked lowest among them in both years.(4) For all the three ecosystems,their net food supply values may not always change in same trends with their net eco-service values,if stakeholders want to keep a balance between these two types of values,MNPAE should be encouraged in these districts.Zhengyong YANG Xinzheng ZHANG Zhenfang HAN Keyong TANG 2014Asian Agricultural Research2014,6,8:0
13Long-term exposure to fine particulate matter modifies the association between physical activity and hypertension incidence显示文摘Background:The trade-off between the benefits of regular physical activity(PA)and the potentially detrimental effects of augmented exposure to air pollution in highly polluted regions remains unclear.This study aimed to examine whether ambient fine particulate matter(PM_(2.5))exposure modified the impacts of PA volume and intensity on hypertension risk.Methods:We included 54,797 participants without hypertension at baseline in a nationwide cohort of the Prediction for Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease Risk in China(China-PAR)project.PA volume and intensitywere assessed by questionnaire,and high-resolution(1 km×1 km)PM_(2.5)estimates were generated using a satellite-based model.Results:During 413,516 person-years of follow-up,12,100 incident hypertension cases were identified.PM_(2.5)significantly modified the relationship between PA and hypertension incidence(p_(interaction)<0.001).Increased PA volume was negatively associated with incident hypertension in the low PM_(2.5)stratum(<59.8μg/m^(3),ptrend<0.001),with a hazard ratio of 0.81(95%confidence interval(95%CI):0.74-0.88)when comparing the fourth with the first quartile of PA volume.However,the health benefits were not observed in the high PM_(2.5)stratum(≥59.8μg/m^(3),p_(trend)=0.370).Moreover,compared with light PA intensity,vigorous intensity was related to a 20%(95%CI:9%-29%)decreased risk of hypertension for participants exposed to low PM_(2.5),but a 17%(95%CI:4%-33%)increased risk for those with high PM_(2.5)levels.Conclusion:PA was associated with a reduced risk of hypertension only among participants with low PM_(2.5)exposure.Our findings recommended regular PA to prevent hypertension in less polluted regions and reinforced the importance of air quality improvement.Qiong Liu Keyong Huang Fengchao Liang Xueli Yang Jianxin Li Jichun Chen Xiaoqing Liu Jie Cao Chong Shen Ling Yu Yingxin Zhao Ying Deng Ying Li Dongsheng Hu Xiangfeng Lu Yang Liu Dongfeng Gu Fangchao Liu Jianfeng Huang 2022Journal of Sport and Health Science2022,11,6:0
14Chronology and Geochemistry of the Berezitovoe Polymetallic Gold Deposit in Eastern Siberia, Russia and its Geological Significance显示文摘The Berezitovoe deposit is a large-sized Au-Ag-Zn-Pb deposit in the east of the SelengaStanovoi superterrane, Russia. Au-Ag orebodies are hosted by tourmaline-garnet-quartz-muscovite metasomatic rocks; Zn-Pb orebodies are hosted by granodiorites, porphyritic granites and tourmalinegarnet-quartz-muscovite metasomatic rocks. These orebodies are surrounded by wall rocks dominated by the Tukuringra Complex granodiorites, porphyritic granites, and gneissic granodiorites. The alteration includes silicification and garnet, sericitization chloritization, carbonatization and kaollinization. LA-ICP-MS U-Pb zircon dating indicates that the gold mineralization can be divided into two stages in the Berezitovoe polymetallic gold deposit(at 363.5 ± 1.5 Ma, and133.4± 0.5).Hornblende-plagioclase gneisses of the Mogocha Group in the study area underwent Paleoproterozoic metamorphism(at 1870 ± 7.8 and 2400 ± 13 Ma), gneissic granodiorite of the Tukuringra Complex yields a late Paleozoic magmatic age(at 379.2 ± 1.1 Ma),and subalkaline porphyritic granitoid of the Amudzhikan Complex yield late Mesozoic magmatic ages(133-139 and 150-163 Ma). Granodiorites of the Tukuringra Complex in the study area have high concentrations of SiO_2(average of 60.9 wt%), are aluminum-oversaturated(average A/CNK of 1.49), are enriched in the large ion lithophile elements(e.g.,K, Rb, and Ba), U, Th, and Pb, are depleted in high field strength elements(e.g., Ta, Nb, and Ti), and have slightly negative Eu and no Ce anomalies in chondrite-normalized rare earth element diagrams.Fluid inclusions from quartz veins include three types: aqueous two-phase, CO_2-bearing three-phase,and pure CO_2. Aqueous two-phase inclusions homogenize at 167℃-249℃ and have salinities of 4.32%-9.47% NaCl equivalent, densities of 0.86-0.95 g/cm^3, and formed at depths of 0.52-0.94 km. In comparison, the C0_2-bearing three-phase inclusions have homogenization temperatures of 265℃-346℃,salinities of 7.14%-11.57% NaCl equivalent, and total densities of 0.62-0.67 g/cm^3. The geochemical and zircon U-Pb data and the regional tectonic evolution of the study area, show that the Berezitovoe polymetallic gold deposit formed in an island arc or active continental margin setting, most probably related to late Paleozoic subduction of Okhotsk Ocean crust beneath the Siberian Plate.ZHANG Guobin YANG Yanchen Alexander S.VAKH Vadim G. 16Effect of Pb, Hg and Cd in soil on scavenging system of activated oxygen in tobacco leaves显示文摘Pb, Hg and Cd will affect human health by vegetative chain. In recent years, people more and more are concerned about heavy metal pollution of the soil-plant system. Many researchers studied the effect of single heavy metal on growth, photosynthesis, respiration and quality of plants, but few systematicstudies of the effect of heavy metals on the scavenging system of activated oxygen of plants. This note systematically studies the effect of Pb, Hg and Cd in soil on the scavenging system of activated oxygen in tobacco leaves. 1 Material and methods Material: Tobacco (Nicoticana tabacum L). 17Longitudinal association of egg consumption habits with blood lipids among Chinese adults: results from the Prediction for Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease Risk in China project显示文摘To the Editor:According to guidelines from western countries as well as China,dietary patterns with low intake of cholesterol have been widely recommended for maintaining ideal lipid levels.As one of the major sources of both high-quality protein and dietary cholesterol,eggs have always been the focus in terms of diet.Although increased lipid levels induced by high egg intake have been revealed by randomized controlled trials(RCTs),they may not be sufficient to reflect the impacts of habitual egg intake due to high doses of egg intake of more than 7 eggs/week or even 14 eggs/week.Further,RCTs typically have shorter intervention periods of about 3 months,which may not observe a stable association due to homeostasis in cholesterol metabolism of human beings.[1,2]Up to now,only three cohorts assessed the associations of egg intake with lipid levels or dyslipidemia,and the findings were still controversial.One recent cohort study has reported the non-significant association between higher egg intake(≥7 vs.1 eggs/week)and lipid profiles.On the other hand,another cohort from Spain found that compared with<1 egg/week,>4 eggs/week had no significant influence on total cholesterol(TC)and triglyceride(TG),but significantly decreased high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C)levels.[4]However,none of these cohorts were from developing countries,and the association between moderate egg intake and lipid profiles has not been well illustrated.Egg consumption in China,a representative of developing countries,is relatively higher,and it may be possible to better explore the appropriate range of egg intake.Xinyu Zhang Fangchao Liu Jianxin Li Sihan Huang Xue Xia Keyong Huang Qiong Liu Jichun Chen Xueli Yang Xiaoqing Liu Jie Cao Chong Shen Ling Yu Yingxin Zhao Ying Deng Ying Li Dongsheng Hu Jianfeng Huang Xiangfeng Lu Dongfeng Gu 2022Chinese Medical Journal2022,,6:0
18Characteristics,classification and KNN-based evaluation of paleokarst carbonate reservoirs:A case study of Feixianguan Formation in northeastern Sichuan Basin,China显示文摘The Feixianguan Formation reservoirs in northeastern Sichuan are mainly a suite of carbonate platform deposits.The reservoir types are diverse with high heterogeneity and complex genetic mechanisms.Pores,vugs and fractures of different genetic mechanisms and scales are often developed in association,and it is difficult to classify reservoir types merely based on static data such as outcrop observation,and cores and logging data.In the study,the reservoirs in the Feixianguan Formation are grouped into five types by combining dynamic and static data,that is,karst breccia-residual vuggy type,solution-enhanced vuggy type,fractured-vuggy type,fractured type and matrix type(non-reservoir).Based on conventional logging data,core data and formation microscanner image(FMI)data of the Qilibei block,northeastern Sichuan Basin,the reservoirs are classified in accordance with fracture-vug matching relationship.Based on the principle of cluster analysis,K-Nearest Neighbor(KNN)classification templates are established,and the applicability of the model is verified by using the reservoir data from wells uninvolved in modeling.Following the analysis of the results of reservoir type discrimination and the production of corresponding reservoir intervals,the contributions of various reservoir types to production are evaluated and the reliability of reservoir type classification is verified.The results show that the solution-enhanced vuggy type is of high-quality sweet spot reservoir in the study area with good physical property and high gas production,followed by the fractured-vuggy type,and the fractured and karst breccia-residual vuggy types are the least promising.Yang Ren Wei Wei Peng Zhu Xiuming Zhang Keyong Chen Yisheng Liu 2023Energy Geoscience2023,4,3:0
