| 1 | Suggestions on the Effective Development of Shale Gas in China显示文摘Shale gas is a practical resource with great potential that could be economically explored and developed in the near future. It has been commercially developed in North America and other places. Featuring a vast distribution, a low abundance,unfavorable reservoir conditions, ultra-low permeability and a fast production decline, shale gas is more difficult to develop than conventional natural gas, as it needs advanced drilling and completion technology to develop. During the early stage of shale gas exploration and development, the United States offered enterprises necessary incentives such as tax reductions and exemptions and subsidies to achieve sustainable shale gas development and encourage technological progresses. | 2 | Efficient catalytic conversion of jatropha oil to high grade biofuel on Ni-Mo_(2)C/MCM-41 catalysts with tuned surface properties显示文摘The activity of Mo_(2) C-based catalyst on vegetable oil conversion into biofuel could be greatedly promoted by tuning the carbon content,while its modification mechanism on the surface properties remained elusive.Herein,the exposed active sites,the particle size and Lewis acid amount of Ni-Mo_(2) C/MCM-41 catalysts were regulated by varying CH_(4) content in carbonization gas.The activity of Ni-Mo_(2) C/MCM-41 catalysts in jatropha oil(JO)conversion showed a volcano-like trend over the catalysts with increasing CH_(4) content from 15%to 50%in the preparation process.The one prepared by 25%CH_(4) content(NiMo_(2) C(25)/MCM-41)exhibited the outstanding catalytic performance with 83.9 wt%biofuel yield and95.2%C_(15)-C_(18) selectivity.Such a variation of activity was ascribed to the most exposed active sites,the smallest particle size,and the lowest Lewis acid amount from Ni^(0) on the Ni-Mo_(2) C(25)/MCM-41 catalyst surface.Moreover,the Ni-Mo_(2) C(25)/MCM-41 catalyst could also effectively catalyze the conversion of crude waste cooking oil(WCO)into green diesel.This study offers an effective strategy to improve catalytic performance of molybdenum carbide catalyst on vegetable oil conversion. | Xiangze Du Keyao Zhou Linyuan Zhou Xiaomei Lei Huiru Yang Dan Li Changwei Hu | 2021 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,10: | 2 |

| 17 | Recent progress in the thermal treatment of oilseeds and oil oxidative stability:A review显示文摘Oxidative deterioration of vegetable oils is of great importance in the food industry.In China,vegetable oils produced via thermal pretreatment are popular owing to their strong oil flavor and enhanced yield.Here,we review:(i)the currently employed thermal treatment methods of oilseeds before oil extraction;(ii)effects of thermal treatments on the physicochemical properties,contents of minor lipid components,and oxidative stability of vegetable oils;and(iii)Maillard model systems that are related to oil and oilseed chemistry.Among the thermal pretreatment technologies,microwave and infrared radiations are promising,but these are not performed on the same large production scales as roasting.For most oilseeds,thermal treatments increase the yield of extracted oil and content of minor lipid compounds in the oil,such as polyphenols,tocopherols,and phytosterols.In addition,some Maillard reaction products(MRPs)generated by heating oilseeds have been extracted.The presence of both minor lipids and MRPs in the oil confers improved oxidative stability.However,the mechanism or relationship between thermal treatment and oxidative stability is yet to be clearly elucidated because vegetable oil oxidation is dependent on variables such as unsaturation,concentration and types of minor lipid components,MRPs,and the potential synergistic effects of these components.Recently,several Maillard reaction models related to thermally treated oilseeds have been established,suggesting that MRPs play a critical role during oxidation.However,comprehensive identification of antioxidants and the mechanism by which they inhibit oxidation are lacking.Future research can be performed to establish models that would help elucidate the antioxidative mechanisms of MRPs for more oilseeds.Using these models,it will be possible to predict the oil quality after processing,based on the presence of MRPs and oil chemistry. | Zizhe Cai Keyao Li Wan Jun Lee Martin T J Reaney Ning Zhang Yong Wang | 2021 | Fundamental Research2021,1,6: | 1 |
