1标准驱动的美国体育教师教育质量动态保障体系研究显示文摘美国在体育教师专业标准的研制和实施方面起步较早,其体育教师专业的评价体系由3大全国性的教师专业标准构成:全国教师教育认证委员会(National Council For The Accreditation of Teacher Education,简称NCATE)、州际新教师评估与支持联合会(Interstate New Teacher Assessment and Support Consortium,简称INTASC)和全国教师专业教学标准委员会(National Board for Professional Teaching Standards,简称NBPTS)。对美国目前最新版的NCATE标准(2008版)、INTASC标准(2013版)和NBPTS标准(2013版)进行翻译,并结合国内、外研究成果进行分析发现,美国3个标准的制定机构注重标准之间的衔接与协同,注重与各州政府之间的合作,将体育教师教育机构认证、新教师执照获取、高级体育教师资格评定3方面的功能相互协同;3个标准基于绩效评价的共同理念,突出专业人士的主体作用,重视不同利益方的关联,形成了一个动态体系,对我国体育教师教育标准的研制有较高的借鉴价值。周珂 周艳丽 KEATING Xiaofen 尹志华 黄勇 2016体育科学2016,36,1:22
2Constructed wetlands for wastewater treatment in cold climate--A review显示文摘Constructed wetlands(CWs) have been successfully used for treating various wastewaters for decades and have been identified as a sustainable wastewater management option worldwide.However,the application of CW for wastewater treatment in frigid climate presents special challenges.Wetland treatment of wastewater relies largely on biological processes,and reliable treatment is often a function of climate conditions.To date,the rate of adoption of wetland technology for wastewater treatment in cold regions has been slow and there are relatively few published reports on CW applications in cold climate.This paper therefore highlights the practice and applications of treatment wetlands in cold climate.A comprehensive review of the effectiveness of contaminant removal in different wetland systems including:(1) free water surface(FWS) CWs;(2) subsurface flow(SSF) CWs;and(3) hybrid wetland systems,is presented.The emphasis of this review is also placed on the influence of cold weather conditions on the removal efficacies of different contaminants.The strategies of wetland design and operation for performance intensification,such as the presence of plant,operational mode,effluent recirculation,artificial aeration and in-series design,which are crucial to achieve the sustainable treatment performance in cold climate,are also discussed.This study is conducive to further research for the understanding of CW design and treatment performance in cold climate.Mo Wang Dong Qing Zhang Jian Wen Dong Soon Keat Tan 2017Journal of Environmental Sciences2017,29,7:19
3肿瘤恶性转化与C/EBPβ和STAT3基因相关(英文)显示文摘The inference of transcriptional networks that regulate transitions into physiological or pathological cellular states remains a central challenge in systems biology. A mesenchymal phenotype is the hallmark of tumour aggressiveness in human malignant glioma,but the regulatory programs responsible for implementing the associated molecular signature are largely unknown. Here we show that reverse-engineering and an unbiased interrogation of a glioma-specific regulatory network reveal the transcriptional module that activates expression of mesenchymal genes in malignant glioma. Two transcription factors (C/EBPβ and STAT3) emerge as synergistic initiators and master regulators of mesenchymal transformation. Ectopic co-expression of C/EBPβ and STAT3 reprograms neural stem cells along the aberrant mesenchymal lineage,whereas elimination of the two factors in glioma cells leads to collapse of the mesenchymal signature and reduces tumour aggressiveness. In human glioma,expression of C/EBPβ and STAT3 correlates with mesenchymal differentiation and predicts poor clinical outcome. 5Application of constructed wetlands for wastewater treatment in tropical and subtropical regions(2000–2013)显示文摘Constructed wetlands(CWs) have been successfully used for treating various wastewaters for decades and have been identified as a sustainable wastewater management option for developing countries. With the goal of promoting sustainable engineered systems that support human well-being but are also compatible with sustaining natural(environmental)systems, the application of CWs has become more relevant. Such application is especially significant for developing countries with tropical climates, which are very conducive to higher biological activity and productivity, resulting in higher treatment efficiencies compared to those in temperate climates. This paper therefore highlights the practice,applications, and research of treatment wetlands under tropical and subtropical conditions since 2000. In the present review, removal of biochemical oxygen demand(BOD) and total suspended solid(TSS) was shown to be very efficient and consistent across all types of treatment wetlands. Hybrid systems appeared more efficient in the removal of total suspended solid(TSS)(91.3%), chemical oxygen demand(COD)(84.3%), and nitrogen(i.e.,80.7% for ammonium(NH)4-N, 80.8% for nitrate(NO)3-N, and 75.4% for total nitrogen(TN))as compared to other wetland systems. Vertical subsurface flow(VSSF) CWs removed TSS(84.9%), BOD(87.6%), and nitrogen(i.e., 66.2% for NH4-N, 73.3% for NO3-N, and 53.3% for TN)more efficiently than horizontal subsurface flow(HSSF) CWs, while HSSF CWs(69.8%)showed better total phosphorus(TP) removal compared to VSSF CWs(60.1%). 14THEORETICAL,NUMERICAL AND EXPERIMENTAL STUDY OF WATER HAMMER IN PIPE SYSTEM WITH COLUMN SURGE CHAMBER显示文摘A new kind of governing equations for water hammer based on the elastic column theory was proposed and adopted to analyse water hammer phenomenon in the pipe system with a vertical column surge chamber and water level fluctuation in the surge chamber during pressure transient. The wrongness existing in the classical governing equations for water hammer was analysed. A typical reservoir valve pipe system was chosen as an example to verify the new governing equations numerically and experimentally. The finite difference method based on the method of characteristics was used to solve numerically the nonlinear characteristic equations. The temporal evolutions of transient volume flux and head and of water level fluctuation for various surge chamber configurations were worked out, assuming that the air in the surge chamber are compressible. The relevant experiment was conducted to verify the new governing equations and numerical method. The numerical and experimental results show that the new governing equations are valid and the conventional assumption that the pressure head at the base of a surge chamber equals that of the static head above it during pressure transient is not always valid. The surge chamber generally reises the period of transient pressure wave in pipe system, reduces the maximum pressure envelope and lifts the minimum envelope substantially. The water level fluctuation in the surge chamber was numerically and experimentally observed. Increasing the size of the surge chamber and/or decreasing the initial air pressure in the surge chamber enhance the effectiveness of the surge chamber in suppressing pressure wave.Tan Soon Keat 2003Journal of Hydrodynamics2003,15,5:6

16Rheological properties of dense natural cohesive sediments subject to shear loadings显示文摘Cohesive sediments exhibit complex rheological behaviors that are non-Newtonian and time-dependent when subjected to external loading.This paper presents the results of an investigation on the rheological properties of three types of dense cohesive sediments,collected from the mouth of the Yangtze River,the shoal of the Hangzhou Bay,and the Yangcheng Lake in China.A set of rheological parameters(including viscosity,yield stress,etc.) was studied based on experiments that were conducted with a RheolabQC rheometer.Measurements of the flow curves,shear stress-time responses,and yield stresses were made.The solid-liquid transition of the dense cohesive sediments occurred both in the shear rate ramp tests and the shear stress ramp tests.This transition was not direct,but it was mediated by a transitional deformation regime or stress plateau.Both the Herschel-Bulkley model and Carreau model were able to describe the rheological behavior of dense cohesive sediments,and the empirical expressions for calculating the parameters in these models were obtained by a dimensional and regression analysis.The yield stresses determined by the shear stress ramp test and by the vane method were compared and discussed.The influence of the water content on the rheological properties of dense cohesive sediments was considered.Wen-yu YANG Guo-liang YU Soon keat TAN Hua-kun WANG 2014International Journal of Sediment Research2014,29,4:6
17Cultivation of microalgae for biodiesel production:A review on upstream and downstream processing显示文摘Fluctuating market price of fossil fuel and overwhelming emission of greenhouse gases to the atmosphere have resulted in climate change and have been a global concern in this decade. Hence, biodiesel has become an alternative option to fossil diesel as it is renewable and environmentally friendly. Nevertheless, this alternative fuel that is usually derived from terrestrial oil crops will cause shortage in food supply and deforestation if mass production is realized. In recent years, cultivation of aquatic microorganism(particularly microalgae) to produce biodiesel is considered as a practical solution due to their high growth rate and ability to synthesize large quantity of lipid within their cell. However, the development of energy and cost-efficiency of microalgae cultivation system are the main issues in producing renewable microalgae biodiesel. Of late, wastewater or organic compost has been used as the cultivation medium as it can provide sufficient nutrients to sustain microalgae growth.Microalgae cultivation method and system are vitally important as these factors undoubtedly affect the final microalgae biomass and lipid yield. In this review, the cultivation system of microalgae, nutrients demanded for microalgae production, cell harvesting and drying, microalgae oil extraction, and utilization of microalgae biomass for biodiesel production are introduced and discussed. 18Clinical applications, limitations and future role of transient elastography in the management of liver disease显示文摘Transient elastography(TE) is a reliable tool for the non-invasive assessment of liver fibrosis in routine clinical practice. TE is currently approved for use in Europe, Asia and the United States. The widespread adoption of this technology is certain to increase the use of TE worldwide. Although TE has been well validated in chronic viral hepatitis, its clinical role in other liver diseases remains less clear. The advent of new treatment for chronic hepatitis C and emerging prevalence of non-alcoholic steatohepatitis raises new questions on the role of TE in current clinical practice. This review aims to examine the clinical applications, limitations and future role of TE in current clinical practice in light of the changing epidemiology of liver diseases and new clinical management paradigms. In current clinical practice, TE is the most accurate noninvasive method for diagnosis of liver cirrhosis. TE is useful to rule out fibrosis and cirrhosis but does not have sufficient accuracy to discern between various stages of fibrosis. The clinical role of TE has evolved from cross-sectional point-in-time assessment of fibrosis and cirrhosis to the more relevant role of prediction of vital clinical end-points. This provides clinicians with the ability to modify treatment strategies based on the information provided by TE. 19棕榈油中间分提物在零/低反式脂肪酸人造奶油中的应用显示文摘为扩大棕榈油中间分提物(PMF)在零/低反式脂肪酸人造奶油中的应用,对PMF、棕榈油硬脂(PSt)和大豆油的甘三酯组成、结晶及熔化特性进行分析。结果表明:PMF的甘三酯主要由二饱和型及单饱和型甘三酯POP、PLP、POO组成;PSt的甘三酯主要由三饱和型及二饱和型甘三酯PPP、POP组成;大豆油主要由三不饱和型及二不饱和型甘三酯LLL、OLL、PLL等组成。以PMF为主,复配PSt和大豆油作为人造奶油的基料油,可使人造奶油以二饱和型POP等形成β'结晶倾向,一定量的三饱和型甘三酯PPP等提供人造奶油的骨架结构,三不饱和型甘三酯LLL、OLL等填充高熔点甘三酯形成的网格,提高人造奶油的营养特性。PMF、PSt和大豆油三者的质量比为50∶30∶20时表现出良好的相容特性,按照这一质量比制备的人造奶油中的晶型为β'和β共存,且以β'为主,符合人造奶油的结晶及熔化性能要求。季敏 李勇强 杨天奎 牟英 OOI Cheng Keat WONG Soo Khwan 2014中国油脂2014,39,6:5
