| 3 | Identification of potential indicators for testis quality in swamp eels(Monopterus albus)through metabolomics analysis显示文摘The swamp eel(Monopterus albus)is a commonly cultured freshwater fish.Selection and cultivation of fecund broodstock is crucial for efficient artificial reproduction in this species.However,there are currently no guidelines for selecting high-quality males in M.albus.This study quantitatively investigated the sperm motility of male swamp eels during the breeding season by using computer-assisted sperm analysis system.Variability in the proportion and number of motile sperm was observed between individual males.The testes were grouped into high-quality and low-quality according to sperm quality.Morphometric parameters of the two groups were analyzed.We found that high-quality testes were longer(150±27 mm verses 127±19 mm)than low-quality testes.Besides,the proportion of testes with a dark appearance was slightly higher(58.3%verses 48.1%)in the high-quality group than in the low-quality group.Metabolomic analysis was conducted to compare the metabolite profiles of high-quality and low-quality testes.Glycerophospholipids,organic acids,glycerolipids,amino acids,sphingolipids,and nucleotides were the most abundant metabolites in the testes of swamp eels.Moreover,135 differential metabolites were identified.Several nucleotide derivatives,including 50-deoxyadenosine,20-deoxyadenosine,and ribosyl adenosine,were the most significantly enriched metabolites in highquality testes.These metabolites are potential indicators for the testis quality in M.albus.Altogether,our work provides systematic and quantitative data about the physiological and biochemical characteristics of M.albus testis,which provides an evidential basis for the selection of high-fecundity parents to improve artificial reproduction efficiency of M.albus. | Fei Liu Xing Lin Kaifeng Meng Yuanyuan Chen Hairong Liu Yuanli Zhao Daji Luo | 2023 | Water Biology and Security2023,2,4: | 0 |
| 4 | Theoretical studies on the possible conformers and properties of tetranitrodiazidoacetylhexaazaisowurtzitane (TNDAIW)显示文摘Tetranitrodiazidoacetylhexaazaisowurtzitane (TNDAIW) is a novel polyazapolycyclic caged polyazidonitramine explosive first synthesized in our laboratory. All of the possible con- formers of TNDAIW are optimized using both the AM1 and PM3 methods. TNDAIW is predicted to have more polymorphs than hexanitrohexaazoisowurtzitane (CL-20). The HF/6-31G(d) level of theory is used to investigate the lowest energy structures of D-TNDAIW for both AM1 and PM3. The possible conformers of TNDAIW are predicted to be more stable than epsilon-CL-20 based on the N-NO2 bond lengths. The impact and shock sensitivities of both the possible DA- and DP-TNDAIW are lower than the corresponding ones of epsilon-CL-20. | 5 | Enhanced photoelectrocatalytic decomplexation of Ni-EDTA and simultaneous recovery of metallic nickel via TiO_(2)/Ni-Sb-SnO_(2) bifunctional photoanode and activated carbon fiber cathode显示文摘In order to enhance Ni-EDTA decomplexation and Ni recovery via photoelectrocatalytic (PEC)process,TiO_(2)/Ni-Sb-SnO_(2)bifunctional electrode was fabricated as the photoanode and activated carbon fiber (ACF) was introduced as the cathode.At a cell voltage of 3.5 V and initial solution pH of 6.3,the TiO_(2)/Ni-Sb-SnO_(2)bifunctional photoanode exhibited a synergetic effect on the decomplexation of Ni-EDTA with the pseudo-first-order rate constant of 0.01068 min^(-1)with 180 min by using stainless steel (SS) cathode,which was 1.5 and 2.4times higher than that of TiO_(2)photoanode and Ni-Sb-SnO_(2)anode,respectively.Moreover,both the efficiencies of Ni-EDTA decomplexation and Ni recovery were improved to 98%from 86%and 73%from 41%after replacing SS cathode with ACF cathode,respectively.Influencing factors on Ni-EDTA decomplexation and Ni recovery were investigated and the efficiencies were favored at acidic condition,higher cell voltage and lower initial Ni-EDTA concentration.Ni-EDTA was mainly decomposed via·OH radicals which generated via the interaction of O_(3),H_(2)O_(2),and UV irradiation in the contrasted PEC system.Then,the liberated Ni^(2+)ions which liberated from Ni-EDTA decomplexation were eventually reduced to metallic Ni on the ACF cathode surface.Finally,the stability of the constructed PEC system on Ni-EDTA decomplexation and Ni recovery was exhibited. | Juanjuan Zhang Jing Luo Xu Zhao Kaifeng Wang Tengfei Xie Tongguang Xu Meng Qiao | 2023 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,4: | 0 |
