| 1 | The linkage maps of Dendrobium species based on RAPD and SRAP markers显示文摘Dendrobium plants are used commonly as tonic herbs and health food in many Asian countries,especially in China.Here we report the genetic map construction of two Dendrobium species with a double pseudo-testcross strategy using random amplified polymorphic DNA(RAPD) and sequence-related amplified polymorphism(SRAP) markers.A F1 mapping population of 90 individuals was developed from a cross between D.officinale and D.hercoglossum.A total of 307 markers,including 209 RAPD and 98 SRAP,were identified and used for genetic linkage group(LG) analysis.The D.officinale linkage map consisted of 11 major linkage groups and 3 doublets,which covered 629.4 cM by a total of 62 markers with an average locus distance of 11.2 cM between two adjacent markers.The D.hercoglossum linkage map contained 112 markers mapped on 15 major and 4 minor linkage groups,spanning a total length of 1,304.6 cM with an average distance of 11.6 cM between two adjacent markers.The maps constructed in this study covered 92.7% and 82.7% of the D.hercoglossum and D.officinale genomes respectively,providing an important basis for the mapping of horticultural and medicinal traits and for the application of marker-assisted selection in Dendrobium breeding program. | Dawei Xue Shangguo Feng Hongyan Zhao Hua Jiang Bo Shen Nongnong Shi Jiangjie Lu Junjun Liu Huizhong Wang | 2010 | Journal of Genetics and Genomics2010,37,3: | 26 |
| 2 | Synthesis and supercapacitor characteristics of PANI/CNTs composites显示文摘The polyaniline coated multi-walled carbon nanotubes (PANI/CNTs) composites were synthesized by in situ polymerization. The microstructure and component of the composites were characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM), Fourier transfer infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and N2 adsorption BET. The electrochemical performances of the samples were tested by cyclic voltammogram (CV), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and galvanostatic charge/discharge. The results showed that the thickness of PANI layer on the surface of CNTs was ca. 50 nm. | 3 | Up-regulation of glycolipid transfer protein by bicyclol causes spontaneous restriction of hepatitis C virus replication显示文摘Bicyclol is a synthetic drug for hepatoprotection in clinic since 2004. Preliminary clinical observations suggest that bicyclol might be active against hepatitis C virus(HCV) with unknown mechanism. Here, we showed that bicyclol significantly inhibited HCV replication in vitro and in hepatitis C patients. Using bicyclol as a probe, we identified glycolipid transfer protein(GLTP) to be a novel restrictive factor for HCV replication. The GLTP preferentially bound host vesicle-associated membrane protein-associated protein-A(VAP-A) in competition with the HCV NS5 A, causing an interruption of the complex formation between VAP-A and HCV NS5 A. As the formation of VAP-A/NS5 A complex is essential for viral RNA replication, up-regulation of GLTP by bicyclol reduced the level of VAP-A/NS5 A complex and thus inhibited HCV replication. Bicyclol also exhibited an inhibition on HCV variants resistant to direct-acting antiviral agents(DAAs) with an efficacy identical to that on wild type HCV. In combination with bicyclol, DAAs inhibited HCV replication in a synergistic fashion. | 11 | Effects of paraprobiotics on bile acid metabolism and liver health in largemouth bass(Micropterus salmoides)fed a cottonseed protein concentrate-based diet显示文摘Cottonseed protein concentrate is a sustainable fishmeal alternative in aquafeed.A 10-week experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of a cottonseed protein concentrate-based diet with and without multi-strain yeast fractions(MsYF)on growth,bile acid metabolism,and health in largemouth bass.Four hundred fish(54.0±0.0 g)were casually distributed into 16 tanks(4 replicates/diet).Fish were fed with 4 iso-nitrogen and iso-energetic diets 3 times daily,including a fishmeal diet(FM),a soy protein concentrate-based diet(SPC;replacing 81%fishmeal protein),a cottonseed protein concentrate-based diet(CPC;replacing 81%fishmeal protein),and a CPC diet supplemented with 800 mg/kg MsYF(CPCY).Results showed that the survival of SPC was the lowest,i.e.,48%,with no apparent diet effect among other treatments;we omitted the SPC in additional analyses.Fish fed cottonseed protein concentrate-based diets showed lower growth than FM(P<0.05).Fish fed CPC showed the highest nuclear dense hepatic phenotypes ratio(50%),followed by CPCY(33%)and FM(17%).Further,dietary CPC increased hepatic total cholesterol and triglyceride levels with concurrently increased cholesterol syn-thesis but decreased triglyceride synthesis-associated transcription levels(P<0.05).Furthermore,di-etary CPC increased bile acid synthesis but decreased bile acid transport-associated transcription levels(P<0.05),and then induced an increment of plasma cholic acid and hepatic chenodeoxycholic acid content and the decrement of genus Romboustia(P<0.05).Regarding the effect of MsYF,fish fed CPCY reduced hepatic lipid accumulation and total plasma bile acid content(P<0.05)compared to CPC,suggesting an improvement in liver health.Also,dietary MsYF could reverse the microbiota community structure showing a similar gut microbial composition to FM.In conclusion,81%of fishmeal protein replaced by cottonseed protein concentrate suppressed growth and liver health,while dietary MsYF might mitigate the negative impact of a high cottonseed protein concentrate level diet on liver functions via gut microbiota regulation. | Xiaoze Xie Xiaofang Liang Hao Wang Qiang Zhu Junjun Wang Ying Chang Eric Leclercq Min Xue Jie Wang | 2023 | Animal Nutrition2023,,2: | 0 |

| 15 | Analysis of a landfill cover without geomembrane using varied particle sizes of recycled concrete显示文摘Previous studies have demonstrated the effectiveness of a novel three-layer landfill cover system constructed with recycled concrete aggregates(RCAs)without geomembrane in both laboratory and field.However,no systematic investigation has been carried out to optimize the combination of the particle sizes for fine-grained RCAs(FRC)and coarse-grained RCAs(CRC)that can be used for the three-layer landfill cover system.The aim of this paper is to assist engineers in designing the three-layer landfill cover system under a rainfall of 100-year return period in humid climate conditions using an easily controlled soil parameter D10 of RCAs.The numerical study reveals that when D10 of FRC increases from 0.05 mm to 0.16 mm,its saturated permeability increases by 10 times.As a result,a larger amount of rainwater infiltrates into the cover system,causing a higher lateral diversion in both the top FRC and middle CRC layers.No further changes in the lateral diversion are observed when the D10 value of FRC is larger than 0.16 mm.Both the particle sizes of FRC and CRC layers are shown to have a minor influence on the percolation under the extreme rainfall event.This implies that the selection of particle sizes for the FRC and CRC layers can be based on the availability of materials.Although it is well known that the bottom layer of the cover system should be constructed with very fine-grained soils if possible,this study provides an upper limit to the particle size that can be used in the bottom layer(D10 not larger than 0.02 mm).With this limit,the three-layer system can still minimize the water percolation to meet the design criterion(30 mm/yr)even under a 100-year return period of rainfall in humid climates. | Charles Wang Wai Ng Cheuk Lam Ng Junjun Ni Haowen Guo Qi Zhang Qiang Xue Rui Chen | 2023 | Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2023,15,5: | 0 |
