1Strategies for improving fertilizer phosphorus use efficiency in Chinese cropping systems显示文摘A four-year project,entitled'The mechanisms of fraction transformation and high use efficiency of P fertilizer in Chinese cropping systems'commenced in 2017.The project was established to answer three key questions and looked at 17 cropping systems on ten soils.First,we asked what are the dynamics of transformation,fixation and mobilization of P fertilizers in soil-cropping systems?Second,what are the mechanisms of soil-cropmicrobe interactions by which P fertilizer can be efficiently used?Third,how to manipulate the processes of P use in cropping systems?The targets of this project are(1)to explore the mechanisms of P fixation,the pathways of loss of P availability and the threshold of migration of fertilizer P in the field;(2)to uncover mechanisms by which soil legacy P is mobilized through root physiological and morphological processes and through arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi and P-solubilizing bacteria in rhizosphere and hyphosphere;(3)to estimate the biological potential of crops for high efficiency P absorption and use;(4)to innovate new approaches for improving the efficiency of P fertilizers.The outcomes will provide theoretical support for setting standards for limitation of P fertilizer application rate in the main cropping zones of China.Gu FENG Jingping GAI Xionghan FENG Haigang LI Lin ZHANG Keke YI Jialong LV Yiyong ZHU Li TANG Yilin LI 2019Frontiers of Agricultural Science and Engineering2019,6,4:2
2A Preliminary Survey of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi Associated with Marsh Plants in Lhalu Wetland,Suburban Lhasa,South Tibet显示文摘A survey was made of the spore community of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) and root colonization by AMF in 16 plant species in Lhalu wetland on the outskirts of Lhasa city in Tibet. It was found that 13 of the 16 plant species investigated (81. 5% ) formed arbuscular mycorrhizal structures and dark septate endophytic fungi colonized the roots of most species. Total AMF colonization ranged from 0 to 82. 6% in dicots and 0 to 54. 5% in monocots. Both total AMF and arbuscular colonization were greater in dicots than that in monocots. A total of 48 taxa representing 7 genera of AMF were isolated and identified. Of these,9 species belonged to Acaulospora,2 to Appendicispora,34 to Glomus,and 1 each to Pacispora,Paraglomus and Scutellospora. Spores of Glomus aggregatum,G. deserticola and G. etunicatum were most common and abundant in the spore survey. Spores of 8 to 26 AMF species were isolated from the rhizosphere soil of individual plant species. Spore densities in soil associated with the 16 plant species ranged from 20 to 475 per 20 g soil,with an average of (92. 3 ± 14. 6). Species richness of AMF ranged from 6 to 12. 7. There were no significant differences between dicots and monocots in AMF spore density or species richness. 3Mechanical Stress Induces Neuroendocrine and Immune Responses of Sea Cucumber(Apostichopus japonicus)显示文摘Grading procedure in routine sea cucumber hatchery production is thought to affect juvenile sea cucumber immunological response. The present study investigated the impact of a 3-min mechanical perturbation mimicking the grading procedure on neuroendocrine and immune parameters of the sea cucumber Apostichopus japonicus. During the application of stress, concentrations of noradrenaline and dopamine in coelomic fluid increased significantly, indicating that the mechanical perturbation resulted in a transient state of stress in sea cucumbers. Coelomocytes concentration in coelomic fluid increased transiently after the beginning of stressing, and reached the maximum in 1 h. Whereas, coelomocytes phagocytosis at 3 min, superoxide anion production from 3 min to 0.5 h, acid phosphatase activity at 0.5 h, and phenoloxidase activity from 3 min to 0.5 h were all significantly down-regulated. All of the immune parameters recovered to baseline levels after the experiment was conducted for 8 h, and an immunostimulation occurred after the stress considering the phagocytosis and acid phosphatase activity. The results suggested that, as in other marine invertebrates, neuroendocrine/immune connections exist in sea cucumber A. japonicus. Mechanical stress can elicit a profound influence on sea cucumber neuroendocrine system. Neuroendocrine messengers act in turn to modulate the immunity functions.
