1Tibetan Plateau climate dynamics: recent research progress and outlook显示文摘This paper reviews progress in the study of Tibetan Plateau(TP) climate dynamics over the past decade.Several theoretical frameworks, including thermal adaptation and the TP sensible heat(SH) driving air-pump, have been developed to identify the mechanisms responsible for the circulation anomaly produced by thermal forcing of the TP. Numerical simulations demonstrate that the thermal efects of large-scale orography, including the Tibetan and Iranian Plateaus(TIP), are crucial for the formation of the East Asian and South Asian summer monsoons(SASM) because the surface SH of the TIP is the major driver of the water vapor transport required for the genesis of the north branch of the SASM. he large-scale orography of the TP afects the Asian climate through thermal forcing in spring and summer, and mechanical forcing in winter. he TP forcing can also inluence the Asian summer monsoon(ASM) onset over the Bay of Bengal(BOB) by enhancing the BOB warm pool at the surface and by modulating the South Asian High(SAH) in the upper troposphere. On intra-seasonal timescales, the TP thermal forcing signiicantly modulates spring rainfall in southern China and generates the biweekly oscillation of the SAH in summer. Despite climate warming, the atmospheric heat source over the TP, particularly the spring SH,exhibits a clear weakening trend from the 1980 s to 2000 s. his weakening of the spring SH contributed to the anomalous ‘dry in the north' and ‘wet in the south' rainfall patern observed over East China. 3Diurnal variations of summer precipitation over the Asian monsoon region as revealed by TRMM satellite data显示文摘Climatological characteristics of diurnal variations in summer precipitation over the Asian monsoon region are comprehensively investigated based on the Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission(TRMM) satellite data during 1998-2008.The topographic influence on the diurnal variations and phase propagations of maximum precipitation are identified according to spatiotemporal distributions of the amplitude and peak time of the diurnal precipitation.The amplitude and phase of diurnal precipitation show a distinct geographical pattern.Significant diurnal variations occur over most of continental and coastal areas including the Maritime Continent,with the relative amplitude exceeding 40%,indicating that the precipitation peak is 1.4 times the 24-h mean.Over the landside coasts such as southeastern China and Indochina Peninsula,the relative amplitude is even greater than 100%.Although the diurnal variations of summer precipitation over the continental areas are characterized by an afternoon peak(1500-1800 Local Solar Time(LST)),over the central Indochina Peninsula and central and southern Indian Peninsula the diurnal phase is delayed to after 2100 LST,suggesting the diurnal behaviors over these areas different from the general continental areas.The weak diurnal variations with relative amplitudes less than 40% exist mainly over oceanic areas in the western Pacific and most of Indian Ocean,with the rainfall peak mainly occurring from midnight to early morning(0000-0600 LST),indicating a typical oceanic regime characterized by an early morning peak.However,apparent exceptions occur over the South China Sea(SCS),Bay of Bengal(BOB),and eastern Arabian Sea,with the rainfall peak occurring in daytime(0900-1500 LST).Prominent meridional propagations of the diurnal phase exist in South Asia and East Asia.Along the eastern Indian Peninsula,there is not only the southward phase propagation with the peak occurring around 25°N but also the northward phase propagation with the peak beginning with the southernmost continent,and both reach the central Indian continent to finish.Along the same longitudes where southern China and Kalimantan are located,the diurnal phase of the former propagates from the oceanic area(northern SCS) toward the inland continent,while the phase of the latter propagates from the land area toward the outside sea,showing a landward or seaward coastal diurnal regime.A distinct zonal propagation of the diurnal phase is observed over the BOB oceanic area.The maximum precipitation zone originates from the land-sea boundary of the eastern coast of the Indian peninsula at around 0300 LST,and then propagates eastward with increasing time to reach the eastern coast of the BOB on 1800 LST,finally migrates into the Indochina continent on about 2100 LST.JiangYu Mao GuoXiong Wu 2012Science China Earth Sciences2012,55,4:20
4Deformation and failure characteristics of anchorage structure of surrounding rock in deep roadway显示文摘This paper investigated the stress evolution,displacement field,local deformation and its overall distribution,and failure characteristics of the anchorage structure of surrounding rock with different rockbolt spacing through the model experiments.The influences of the pre-tightening force and spacing of rockbolt on the support strength of the anchorage structure of surrounding rock were analyzed by the simulation using FLAC3D numerical software.The support scheme of the excavated roadway was then designed,and the effectiveness of this support scheme was further verified by the displacement measurement of the roadway.The results showed that the maximum displacement between the roof and floor of the west wing track roadway in Kouzidong coal mine,China is about 42 mm,and the maximum displacement between its both sides is about 72 mm,indicating that the support scheme proposed in this study can ensure the stability and safety of the excavated roadway.Hongwen Jing Jiangyu Wu Qian Yin Ke Wang 2020International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2020,30,5:19
5CYP2E1 mediated isoniazid-induced hepatotoxicity in rats显示文摘AIM: To investigate the role of CYP2E1 in isoniazid (INH)-induced hepatotoxicity and the influence of rifampicin(RFP) on INH-induced liver injury. METHODS: Rats were treated with INH alone (100 mg/kg, ip) or co-administeredwith RFP (100 mg/kg, ig) for 10 d and 21 d. Hepatotoxicity was assayed by plasma enzymes (sALT, sAST) andhistopathological examinations. Hepatic CYP2E1 activity was measured by aniline hydroxylase (ANH), and CYP2E1mRNA expression was determined by RT-PCR. Plasma hydrazine concentration was determined by RP-HPLC.RESULTS: For a 10 d INH-treatment, hepatic CYP2E1 level was increased to 3.7-fold over the control; liverimpairment appeared after 21 d treatment, while CYP2E1 and plasma hydrazine were, respectively, increased to 4.6-fold and 1.7-fold. However, in INH-RFP group for 10 d, CYP2E1 and plasma hydrazine were, respectively,decreased by 13 % and 18 % over INH group; similarly, hepatic injury is equal to INH group appeared after 21 d,and CYP2E1 was further decreased by 26 %. Correlation analysis showed that sALT had a positive correlation withplasma hydrazine and with CYP2E1 activity; CYP2E1 activity was also markedly correlated with plasma hydrazine.And compared with control, there is no difference in changes of CYP2E1 mRNA expression in INH and INH-RFPtreatment for 21 d. CONCLUSION: The metabolite of INH, hydrazine, plays an important role in INH-inducedhepatotoxicity in rats. The induction of CYP2E1 by hydrazine is involved in the hepatotoxicity of INH. 6Vortex genesis over the Bay of Bengal in spring and its role in the onset of the Asian Summer Monsoon显示文摘Physical processes associated with onset of the 1998 Asian summer monsoon were examined in detail using multi-source datasets. We demonstrated that strong ocean-atmosphere-land interaction in the northern Indian Ocean and tropical Asian area during spring is a fundamental factor that induces the genesis and development of a monsoon onset vortex over the Bay of Bengal (BOB), with the vortex in turn triggering onset of the Asian summer monsoon. In spring, strong surface sensible heating over India and the Indochina Peninsula is transferred to the atmosphere, forming prominent in situ cyclonic circulation, with anticyclonic circulations over the Arabian Sea and northern BOB where the ocean receives abundant solar radiation. The corresponding surface winds along the North Indian Ocean coastal areas cause the ocean to produce the in situ offshore currents and upwelling, resulting in sea surface temperature (SST) cooling. With precipitation on the Indochina Peninsula increasing from late April to early May, the offshore current disappears in the eastern BOB or develops into an onshore current, leading to SST increasing. A southwest-northeast oriented spring BOB warm pool with SST >31°C forms in a band from the southeastern Arabian Sea to the eastern BOB. In early May, the Somali cross-equatorial flow forms due to the meridional SST gradient between the two hemispheres, and surface sensible heat over the African land surface. The Somali flow overlaps in phase with the anticyclone over the northern Arabian Sea in the course of its inertial fluctuation along the equator. The convergent cold northerlies on the eastern side of the anticyclone cause the westerly in the inertial trough to increase rapidly, so that enhanced sensible heat is released from the sea surface into the atmosphere. The cyclonic vorticity forced by such sensible heating is superimposed on the inertial trough, leading to its further increase in vorticity strength. Since atmospheric inertial motion is destroyed, the flow deviates from the inertial track in an intensified cyclonic curvature, and then turns northward toward the warm pool in the northern BOB. It therefore converges with the easterly flow on the south side of the anticyclone over the northern BOB, forming a cyclonic circulation center east of Sri Lanka. Co-located with the cyclonic circulation is a generation of atmospheric potential energy, due to lower tropospheric heating by the warm ocean. Eventually the BOB monsoon onset vortex (MOV) is generated east of Sri Lanka. As the MOV migrates northward to the warm pool it develops quickly such that the zonal oriented subtropical high is split over the eastern BOB. 10Change in the tilting of the ridgeline surface of the subtropical anticyclone and the predictability of the onset of the Asian summer monsoon显示文摘The NCEP/NCAR reanalysis data are used tostudy the relationships among the change in the tilting of theridgeline surface of the subtropical anticyclone, the estab-lishment of the so-called 'seasonal transition axis (STA)' andthe onset of the Asian summer monsoon. It is shown that themonsoon onset is characterized by the overturning of themeridional temperature gradient (MTG) in the vicinity of theridgeline surface. A MTG index is then constructed to inves-tigate the predictability of the Asian summer monsoon onsetconceptually. 11Quantitative nanoscale mapping of three-phase thermal conductivities in filled skutterudites via scanning thermal microscopy显示文摘In the last two decades, a nano structuring paradigm has been successfully applied in a wide range of thermoelectric materials, resulting in significant reduction in thermal conductivity and superior thermoelectric performance. These advances, however, have been accomplished without directly investigating the local thermoelectric properties, even though local electric current can be mapped with high spatial resolution. In fact, there still lacks an effective method that links the macroscopic thermoelectric performance to the local micro structures and properties. Here, we show that local thermal conductivity can be mapped quantitatively with good accuracy, nanometer resolution and one-to-one correspondence to the micro structure using a three-phase skutterudite as a model system. Scanning thermal microscopy combined with finite element simulations demonstrate close correlation between sample conductivity and probe resistance,enabling us to distinguish thermal conductivities spanning orders of magnitude, yet resolving thermal variation across a phase interface with small contrast. 15Existence of Al2F-7^- in molten MF–AlF3(M = K, Cs) systems as determined by Raman spectroscopy and structural simulation显示文摘The molten mixtures of alkali metal fluorides and aluminum fluoride are applied as aluminum electrolytes or brazing fluxes.However,the presence of Al2F-7^-in such molten systems is disputed.In the present study,MF-AlF3(M=K,Cs)systems with molar ratios<1 were studied by in-situ Raman spectroscopy and molecular simulation.The results show that,in addition to AlF6^(3-),AlF5^(2-),and AlF4^-,the systems also contained Al2F-7^-.The characteristic bands in the Raman spectra belonging to Al2F-7^-were located at about 225 cm^-1,315 cm^-1,479 cm^-1,and 720 cm^-1.There are two possible structures of Al2F-7^-,which belong to the D3d and D3hpoint groups.Both of these structures are linear,and their single-point energies were found to differ by only 0.31 kcal/mol.Ming Lin Xianwei Hu Zhongning Shi Bingliang Gao Jiangyu Yu Zhaowen Wang 2020Journal of Energy Chemistry2020,29,5:5
16Insight into vitronectin structural evolution on material surface chemistries: The mediation for cell adhesion显示文摘Biomaterial surface chemistry engenders profound consequences on cell adhesion and the ultimate tissue response by adsorbing proteins from extracellular matrix,where vitronectin(Vn)is involved as one of the crucial mediator proteins.Deciphering the adsorption behaviors of Vn in molecular scale provides a useful account of how to design biomaterial surfaces.But the details of structural dynamics and consequential biological effect remain elusive.Herein,both experimental and computational approaches were applied to delineate the conformational and orientational evolution of Vn during adsorption onto self-assembled monolayers(SAMs)terminating with-COOH,-NH2,-CH3 and-OH.To unravel the interplay between cell binding and the charge and wettability of material surface,somatomedin-B(SMB)domain of Vn holding the RGD cell-binding motif was employed in molecular dynamics(MD)simulations,with orientation initialized by Monte Carlo(MC)method.Experimental evidences including protein adsorption,cell adhesion and integrin gene expressions were thoroughly investigated.The adsorption of Vn on different surface chemistries showed very complex profiles.Cell adhesion was enabled on all Vn-adsorbed surfaces but with distinct mechanisms mostly determined by conformational change induced reorientation.Higher amount of Vn was observed on negatively charged surface(COOH)and hydrophobic surface(CH3).However,advantageous orientations defined by RGD loop conditions were only obtained on the charged surfaces(COOH and NH2).Specifically,COOH surface straightened up the Vn molecules and accumulated them into a higher density,whereas CH3 surface squashed Vn and stacked them into higher density multilayer by tracking adsorption but with the RGD loops restrained.These findings may have a broad implication on the understanding of Vn functionality and would help develop new strategies for designing advanced biomaterials.Tianjie Li Lijing Hao Jiangyu Li Chang Du Yingjun Wang 2020Bioactive Materials2020,5,4:4
17Effect of loading on the Ni_2P/Al_2O_3 catalysts for the hydrotreating reactions显示文摘The 80%Ni2P/Al2O3 catalysts were prepared by the phosphidation of corresponding 80%Ni/Al2O3 with triphenylphosphine in liquid phase and compared with the 60%Ni2P/Al2O3 for hydrotreating reactions. Both the60%Ni2P/Al2O3 and 80%Ni2P/Al2O3 in comparison exhibited the small and uniform Ni2 P particles(6.3 and8.4 nm,respectively),high CO uptakes(305 and 345 μmol/g,respectively) and thus high activities for the hydrotreating reactions. After the hydrotreating reactions,the small and uniform Ni2 P particles were remained,although the CO uptakes on the used 60%Ni2P/Al2O3 and 80%Ni2P/Al2O3 were greatly decreased(to 68 and95 μmol/g,respectively) due to the incorporation of S into the Ni2 P surfaces. 19Growth Conditions and 3-D Seismic Delineation of Carboniferous Barrier Reefs in the Southwestern Tarim Basin显示文摘The Tarim Basin was a craton block during the Carboniferous period. Except for its open southwestern(SWW) deepening basin margin, the central part of the basin was surrounded by northern, eastern, and southern uplifts. In most parts of the basin, there are three layers of carbonate rocks called Biocalcarenite member, standard limestone member and Xiaohaizi Formation. The present-day Maigeti slope, located in the southwestern area of the basin, was ever a paleogeographic carbonate platform margin to clinoform. Boreholes in the area reveal over ten meters of high-energy biospararenite of beach deposition in Xiaohaizi Formation. This feature is quite different from the low-energy micritic limestone of equivalent horizon in the middle and northern basins. Such typical carbonate beach and platform margin backgrounds indicate an environment conducive for reef growth. According to an interpretation of 3-D seismic data on a 600 km2 Xinbaza survey, a 25 km-long barrier reef orientated in an east-westward direction is delineated with a hummocky geometry, a 1–2 km wide south-dip reef front, and a 3–6 km wide north-dip backreef. The reef buttress and outlines are also shown on an isopach map of the Xiaohaizi Formation as well as horizon slices of coherency, amplitude, and frequency attributes. The reef extends beyond the range of the rectangular 3-D seismic survey. The thickness of the Xiaohaizi Formation is over 60 m at the central reef, and 12 m larger than the outside of the reef. The barrier reef consists of segments separated by narrow tidal inlets. The neighborhood of the reef is mainly beach deposition of bioclasticgrainstones. Due to Late Permier and Late Tertial tectonic movements, the barrier reef was tilted to dip in a SWW direction. Its updip part was broken and misplaced by a set of reverse faults. This study carried out the uniaxial and triaxial compressive experiments on the water-saturated red sandstone, analyzed the influences of confining pressure and pore pressure on dilatancy property of water-saturated rock, and discussed the reasonable basis of the stress of dilatancy onset as a strength design parameter of rock engineering, finally established the prediction model of the stress of dilatancy onset under the impacts of confining pressure and pore pressure. The results show that the strength parameters(the stress of dilatancy onset and peak strength) and deformation parameters(axial strain and circumferential strain) of water-saturated sandstone increase with the confining pressure, and the relations can be fitted with a positive linear function. The cohesion and internal friction angle obtained from the stress of dilatancy onset decrease by 11.57% and 7.33%, respectively, when compared with those obtained from the peak strength. The strength parameters and deformation parameters of water-saturated sandstone decrease basically with the increase of pore pressure, in which the relations between strength parameters or axial strain and pore pressure can be fitted with a negative linear function.
