1Construction of China Osmanthus City and Intellectual Property Right Protection in Xianning City in the Context of Three New Developments显示文摘Xianning City of Hubei Province is one of the five major traditional osmanthus producing areas in the world and the hometown of osmanthus in China. Xianning is constructing China Osmanthus City in the whole city. This paper first introduces the main characteristics of the osmanthus industry in Xianning City, and analyzes the characteristics of traditional knowledge, biological genetic resources, new plant varieties, patents, geographical indications, and trademarks. Then, it studies the intellectual property resources of the osmanthus industry, and analyzes the main problems existing in the construction of China Osmanthus City and intellectual property right protection. 3The Incoming Influenza Season—China,the United Kingdom,and the United States,2021–2022显示文摘Introduction:Seasonal influenza activity has declined globally since the widespread of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)transmission.There has been scarce information to understand the future dynamics of influenza—and under different hypothesis on relaxation of nonpharmaceutical interventions(NPIs)in particular—after the disruptions to seasonal patterns.Methods:We collected data from public sources in China,the United Kingdom,and the United States,and forecasted the influenza dynamics in the incoming 2021–2022 season under different NPIs.We considered Northern China and Southern China separately,due to the sharp difference in the patterns of seasonal influenza.For the United Kingdom,data were collected for England only.Results:Compared to the epidemics in 2017–2019,longer and blunter influenza outbreaks could occur should NPIs be fully lifted,with percent positivity varying from 10.5 to 18.6 in the studying regions.The rebounds would be smaller if the maskwearing intervention continued or the international mobility stayed low,but sharper if the mask-wearing intervention was lifted in the middle of influenza season.Further,influenza activity could stay low under a much less stringent mask-wearing intervention coordinated with influenza vaccination.Conclusions:The results added to our understandings of future influenza dynamics after the global decline during the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic.In light of the uncertainty on the incoming circulation strains and the relatively low negative impacts of mask wearing on society,our findings suggested that wearing mask could be considered as an accompanying mitigation measure in influenza prevention and control,especially for seasons after long periods of low-exposure to influenza viruses.Seasonal influenza activity declines globally during the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic(1–4).For instance,in China,influenza activity,as measured by percentage of submitted specimens testing positive,dropped from 11.8%to 2.0%in 2020–2021 influenza season,compared to the past 5 years(5).The long-period of low-exposure to influenza viruses adds great uncertainty on preparedness for the incoming 2021–2022 influenza season.Influenza vaccination is one of the most effective measures in seasonal influenza prevention and control,but with only a few influenza viruses circulating,it could be difficult to determine the targeted strains for vaccination.In this context,it is of primary importance to identify alternative mitigation measures for the incoming 2021–2022 influenza season,the first season after long periods of virtually no influenza outbreaks worldwide.Using data from China,the United Kingdom,and the United States,we forecasted the influenza activity in the incoming 2021–2022 influenza season under hypothetical scenarios without non-pharmaceutical interventions(NPIs)and with different assumptions on mask-wearing and mobility levels.Shasha Han Ting Zhang Yan Lyu Shengjie Lai Peixi Dai Jiandong Zheng Weizhong Yang Xiaohua Zhou Luzhao Feng 2021China CDC weekly2021,3,49:3
4Induction of Wnt signaling antagonists and p21-activated kinase enhances cardiomyocyte proliferation during zebrafish heart regeneration显示文摘Heart regeneration occurs by dedifferentiation and proliferation of pre-existing cardiomyocytes(CMs).However,the signaling mechanisms by which injury induces CM renewal remain incompletely understood.Here,we find that cardiac injury in zebrafish induces expression of the secreted Wnt inhibitors,including Dickkopf 1(Dkkl),Dkk3,secreted Frizzled-related protein 1(sFrpl),and sFrp2,in cardiac tissue adjacent to injury sites.Experimental blocking of Wnt activity via Dkkl overexpression enhances CM proliferation and heart regeneration,whereas ectopic activation of Wnt8 signaling blunts injury-induced CM dedifferentiation and proliferation.Although Wnt signaling is dampened upon injury,the cytoplasmic β-catenin is unexpectedly increased at disarrayed CM sarcomeres in myocardial wound edges.Our analyses indicated that p21-activated kinase 2(Pak2)is induced at regenerating CMs,where it phosphorylates cytoplasmic β-catenin at Ser 675 and increases its stability at disassembled sarcomeres.Myocardial-specific induction of the phospho-mimeticβ-catenin(S675E)enhances CM dedifferentiation and sarcomere disassembly in response to injury.Conversely,inactivation of Pak2 kinase activity reduces the Ser 675-phosphorylatedβ-catenin(pS675-β-catenin)and attenuates CM sarcomere disorganization and dedifferentiation・Taken together,these findings demonstrate that coordination of Wnt signaling inhibition and Pak2/pS675-βYatenin signaling enhances zebrafish heart regeneration by supporting CM dedifferentiation and proliferation.Xiangwen Peng Kaa Seng Lai Peilu She Junsu Kang Tingting Wang Guobao Li Yating Zhou jianjian Sun Daqing Jin Xiaolei Xu Lujian Liao Jiandong Liu Ethan Lee Kenneth D.Poss Tao P.Zhong 2021Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2021,13,1:3
5Preparation of stable micropatterns of gold on cell-adhesion-resistant hydrogels assisted by a hetero-bifunctional macromonomer linker显示文摘Surface patterning is very useful in biomaterial studies, yet it is not easy to prepare a micropattern with cell-adhesion contrast that is stable in a wet environment. Recently, a platform technique of transfer photolithography was invented to fabricate stable metal microarrays on the surface of a cell-adhesion resistant and mechanically biomimetic poly(ethylene glycol) hydrogel; the linker is the key chemical in such a transfer strategy. This article reports the design and synthesis of a hetero-bifunctional macromonomer linker with a thiol group at one end and an acryloyl group at the other end. The bifunctional linker was characterized by GPC and 1H NMR, and the average number of thiol groups in the bifunctional linker was detected by Ellman's reagent. The regent stability under wet conditions was also confirmed by the model reactants. 7Water Bath Extraction Optimization of Polyphenols from Qing Brick Tea and Raw Material Selection for Tea Polyphenol Extraction显示文摘In this paper,single-factor experiments and orthogonal experiment were conducted to optimize the water bath extraction of polyphenols from Qing Brick Tea,and the optimal extraction conditions obtained were as follows:solvent of 50%ethanol,solid/liquid ratio of 1∶30,temperature of 80℃,and time of 6 min.Under the optimal water bath extraction conditions,polyphenols in fresh tea leaves,fresh tea petioles,fresh tea blades,finished brick tea,finished tea petioles,finished tea blades,tea dregs after brewing and tea dregs after boiling were extracted,respectively.It was found that the quality fraction of polyphenols extracted from fresh tea leaves was the highest,with the best extraction effect.The extraction effect of leaf blades was better than that of leaf petioles,and the extraction effect of tea dregs after brewing was better than that of tea dregs after boiling.Xuejie WU Guangping DING Jiandong LAI 2020Asian Agricultural Research2020,12,8:1

10Strategies for 'Mass Enterpreneurship and Innovation' Education in Local Universities to Promote Rural Revitalization through Integrating Industry and Education显示文摘At present, there are still some problems, such as insufficient integration between universities and local industry and education, urgent need to optimize the collaborative education system, limited quality of 'mass enterpreneurship and innovation' education subjects, insufficient joint efforts of relevant policies, lack of rural revitalization subjects, and imperfect rural infrastructure and public service system. 11Ultrafast dynamics of photoexcited carriers and coherent phonons in ultrathin Bi;Te;thermoelectric films显示文摘The ultrafast dynamics of photoexcited carriers and coherent phonons in ultrathin Bi;Te;thermoelectric films are studied through transient differential transmission spectroscopy.An ultralow frequency coherent optical phonon at 0.16 THz emerges,especially in ultrathin films,and it is ascribed to interlayer breathing modes.It can divide the ultrathin films into two groups which have outof-phase vibration along the normal of a film plane,causing a destructive interference between in-plane propagating thermal waves in the two groups of quintuple layers,and thus possibly reducing the thermal conductivity of the ultrathin films.The excitation power dependence of ultrafast dynamics reveals carrier-carrier scattering dominating thermalization,which provides a microscopic understanding of the reported high electrical conductivity and anomalously high power factor of ultrathin Bi;Te;films at room temperature.Zemin Xu Jiandong Yao Guowei Yang Tianshu Lai 2022Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2022,65,1:0
