| 1 | V2X-Communication Assisted Interference Minimization for Automotive Radars显示文摘With the development of automated driving vehicles, more and more vehicles will be fitted with more than one automotive radars, and the radar mutual interference will become very significant. Vehicle to everything (V2X) communication is a potential way for coordinating automotive radars and reduce the mutual interference. In this paper, we analyze the positional relation of the two radars that interfere with each other, and evaluate the mutual interference for different types of automotive radars based on Poisson point process (PPP). We also propose a centralized framework and the corresponding algorithm, which relies on V2X communication systems to allocate the spectrum resources for automotive radars to minimize the interference. The minimum spectrum resources required for zero-interference are analyzed for different cases. | 5 | Performance Characterization and Receiver Design for Random Temporal Multiple Access in Non-Coordinated Networks显示文摘Random access is a well-known multiple access method for uncoordinated communication nodes.Existing work mainly focuses on optimizing iterative access protocols,assuming that packets are corrupted once they are collided,or that feedback is available and can be exploited.In practice,a packet may still be able to be recovered successfully even when collided with other packets.System design and performance analysis under such a situation,particularly when the details of collision are taken into consideration,are less known.In this paper,we provide a framework for analytically evaluating the actual detection performance in a random temporal multiple access system where nodes can only transmit.Explicit expressions are provided for collision probability and signal to interference and noise ratio(SINR)when different numbers of packets are collided.We then discuss and compare two receiver options for the AP,and provide detailed receiver design for the premium one.In particular,we propose a synchronization scheme which can largely reduce the preamble length.We also demonstrate that system performance could be a convex function of preamble length both analytically and via simulation,as well as the forward error correction(FEC)coding rate. | Yin Lu Jun Fang Zhong Guo J.Andrew Zhang | 2019 | China Communications2019,16,6: | 1 |

| 11 | Variability in total cost of vehicle ownership across vehicle and user profiles显示文摘Widespread adoption of electric vehicles(EVs)is a common and critical component of international strategies to mitigate environmental pollution,climate change and oil dependency.The ability of consumers to assess the total cost of ownership(TCO)of EVs relative to internal combustion engine vehicles(ICEVs)remains an important factor for EV uptake.The TCO of vehicles is not universal across different car segments and user profiles.We analyse and compare the TCO of ICEVs and EVs from 17 car segments across short-and long-term ownership periods,and further advance existing TCO approaches by integrating detailed activity-based driving profiles,taxation,grant structures and pricing.Results show that EV options in the most popular Irish car segments have existing battery EV options with a TCO averaging respectively 26% and 42% less than their equivalent petrol and diesel ICEV options over a 4-year ownership term when the current grant is included.This integrated method for granular TCO evaluation offers important insights for this market and affords scope to investigate how changes in travel patterns,car-segment pricing,taxation,grant policy,fuel costs,and carbon pricing and other transport policies can all affect TCO values over time across a broad range of market offerings. | Yulu Guo J.Andrew Kelly J.Peter Clinch | 2022 | Communications in Transportation Research2022,2,1: | 0 |
