| 3 | Tat-functionalized Ag-Fe_3O_4 nano-composites as tissue-penetrating vehicles for tumor magnetic targeting and drug delivery显示文摘In this paper, we prepared a dual functional system based on dextrin-coated silver nanoparticles which were further attached with iron oxide nanoparticles and cell penetrating peptide(Tat), producing Tat-modified Ag-Fe_3O_4 nanocomposites(Tat-FeAgNPs). To load drugs, an –SH containing linker, 3-mercaptopropanohydrazide, was designed and synthesized. It enabled the silver carriers to load and release doxorubicin(Dox) in a pH-sensitive pattern. The delivery efficiency of this system was assessed in vitro using MCF-7 cells, and in vivo using null BalB/c mice bearing MCF-7 xenograft tumors. Our results demonstrated that both Tat and externally applied magnetic field could promote cellular uptake and consequently the cytotoxicity of doxorubicin-loaded nanoparticles,with the IC_(50) of Tat-FeAgNP-Dox to be 0.63 mmol/L. The in vivo delivery efficiency of Tat-FeAgNP carrying Cy5 to the mouse tumor was analyzed using the in vivo optical imaging tests, in which TatFeAgNP-Cy5 yielded the most efficient accumulation in the tumor(6.772.4% ID of Tat-FeAgNPs).Anti-tumor assessment also demonstrated that Tat-FeAgNP-Dox displayed the most significant tumor-inhibiting effects and reduced the specific growth rate of tumor by 29.6%(P ? 0.009), which could be attributed to its superior performance in tumor drug delivery in comparison with the control nanovehicles. | Ergang Liu Meng Zhang Hui Cui Junbo Gong Yongzhuo Huang Jianxin Wang Yanna Cui Weibing Dong Lu Sun Huining He Victor C.Yang | 2018 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2018,8,6: | 5 |
| 4 | Nose-to-brain delivery of macromolecules mediated by cell-penetrating peptides显示文摘Brain delivery of macromolecular therapeutics(e.g., proteins) remains an unsolved problem because of the formidable blood–brain barrier(BBB). Although a direct pathway of nose-to-brain transfer provides an answer to circumventing the BBB and has already been intensively investigated for brain delivery of small drugs,new challenges arise for intranasal delivery of proteins because of their larger size and hydrophilicity. In order to overcome the barriers and take advantage of available pathways(e.g., epithelial tight junctions, uptake by olfactory neurons, transport into brain tissues, and intra-brain diffusion), a low molecular weight protamine(LMWP) cell-penetrating peptide was utilized to facilitate nose-to-brain transport. Cell-penetrating peptides(CPP)have been widely used to mediate macromolecular delivery through many kinds of biobarriers. | 5 | Analysis of Fluid Model Modulated by an M/PH/1 Working Vacation Queue显示文摘We propose a fluid model driven by the queue length process of a working vacation queue with PH service distribution, which can be applied to the Ad Hoc network with every data group. We obtain the stationary distribution of the queue length in driving process based on a quasi-birth-and-death process. Then, we analyze the fluid model, and derive the differential equations satisfied by the stationary joint distribution of the fluid queue based on the balance equation. Moreover, we obtain some performance indices, such as, the average throughput, server utilization and the mean buffer content. These indices are relevant to pack transmission in the network, and they can be obtained by using the Laplace Transform (LT) and the Laplace-Stieltjes Transform (LST). | 6 | Effects of cooling rate on the microstructure and electrical properties of Dy_2O_3-doped ZnO-based varistor ceramics显示文摘The microstructure, electrical properties, and density of Dy2O3-doped ZnO-based varistor ceramics, prepared us-ing high-energy ball milling (HEBM) and sintered at 800°C, were investigated by increasing the cooling rate in the order of H (slow cooling in furnace) → L (cooling in furnace) → K (cooling in air). With the increase in cooling rate, the grain size and density decreased, the breakdown voltage (V1 mA / mm) increased, and the nonlinear coefficient (α) and leakage current (IL) exhibited extremum. The sample with the cooling type L showed the best properties with the breakdown voltage of 2650 V/mm, α of 20.3, IL of 5.2 μA, and density of 5.42 g/cm3. The barrier height (φB), donor concentration (Nd), density of the interface states (Ns), and barrier width (ω) all exhibited extremum during the alteration in cooling rate. | 8 | SNR estimation algorithm based on the preamble for wireless OFDM systems显示文摘Based on the analysis of the performance of Boumard’s SNR method for wireless orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems, a new estimation al-gorithm of the noise variance is proposed by only using the data samples of the two training symbols in the preamble, and the second order moment of these data samples is employed to estimate the signal power. The average SNR and the SNRs on the subchannels can all be estimated by the proposed algorithm, and its per-formance is independent of the channel’s frequency selectivity. | 12 | Facile ultrasonic-assisted synthesis of micro–nanosheet structure Bi_4Ti_3O_(12)/g-C_3N_4 composites with enhanced photocatalytic activity on organic pollutants显示文摘The Bi_4Ti_3O_(12)/g-C_3N_4 composites with microsheet and nanosheet structure were prepared through facile ultrasonic-assisted method. The SEM and TEM results suggested that the nanosheets g-C_3N_4 were stacked on the surface of regular Bi_4Ti_3O_(12) sheets. Comparing with pure Bi_4Ti_3O_(12) and g-C_3N_4, the Bi_4Ti_3O_(12)/g-C_3N_4 composites showed significant enhancement in photocatalytic efficiency for the degradation of RhB in solution. With the mass ratio of g-C_3N_4 increasing to 10 wt%, the Bi_4Ti_3O_(12)/g-C_3N_4-10% presented the best photocatalytic activity. Its photocatalysis reaction constant was approximately 2 times higher than the single component Bi_4Ti_3O_(12) or g-C_3N_4. Meanwhile, good stability and durability for the Bi_4Ti_3O_(12)/g-C_3N_4-10% were confirmed by the recycling experiment and FT-IR analysis. The possible mechanism for the improvements was the matched band positions and the effective separation of photo-excited electrons(e-) and holes(h+).
