1Comparison of Chlorophyll and Photosynthesis Parameters of Floating and Attached Ulva prolifera显示文摘In mid-May 2008 a serious green tide caused mainly by floating Ulva prolifera(Mller) J.Agardh(Chlorophyta,Ulvales) thalli struck the coastal area of Qingdao,China.To understand the present physiological conditions of the floating alga,in this work both laboratory and field investigations were conducted on the floating U.prolifera thalli in comparison with the attached U.prolifera thalli collected from the area.The floating thalli of three distinctively different colors and attached thalli at three different stages of sporangium formation process were characterized under a microscope,while their photosynthetic parameters were determined with chlorophyll fluorescence technology.On the other hand,the sporangium formation status of the floating U.prolifera thalli was surveyed both in the laboratory and in the field.Comparisons showed that both of the paired morphological characteristics and the paired physiological parameters of the floating and attached U.prolifera thalli were consistent.Furthermore,some spores were confirmed in the field and some motile particles were found within the floating thalli.These results suggest that the floating U.prolifera thalli with different colors could be at different stages of sporangium formation.However,our results also showed that the floating alga thalli have only a limited reproductive potential.This might limit the duration and the further geographic expansion of the green algal bloom.Apeng Lin Songdong Shen Guangce Wang Qianqian Yi Hongjin Qiao Jianfeng Niu Guanghua Pan 2011Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2011,53,1:20
2Study on the photosynthetic performances of Enteromorpha prolifera collected from the surface and bottom of the sea of Qingdao sea area显示文摘In this work, the photosynthetic performances of Enteromorpha prolifera thalli collected from the sur- face and bottom of the sea of Qingdao sea area were studied with chlorophyll fluorescence and oxy- graph technology. The samples with the highest photosynthetic activity among their kinds, the floating thalli from the sea surface of the south of the Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center and the sedimentary thalli from the mud surface of the bottom Tuandao bay, were chosen as representatives of surface thalli and bottom thalli, respectively. The results showed that the maximal PSII quantum yield of the floating thalli was significantly lower than the normal level although their photosynthetic activities were relatively high; the photosynthetic potential of the thalli form the mud surface was extremely low. Thus, it is indicated that the floating thalli are seriously stressed by their environment and the thalli from the mud surface are already dead or are dying. On the other hand, the results of the laboratory cultivation showed that the sedimentary thalli cannot regain normal photosynthetic activity even under normal illumination condi- tions. Thus, the thalli from the mud surface cannot become reproductive source of the alga even if they can reach sea surface again. 3Architecture design for reliable and reconfigurable FPGA-based GNC computer for deep space exploration显示文摘SRAM(static random access memory)-based FPGA(field programmable gate array), owing to its large capacity, high performance, and dynamical reconfiguration, has become an attractive platform for So PC(system on programmable chip) development. However, as the configuration memory and logic memory of the SRAM-based FPGA are highly susceptible to SEUs(single-event upsets) in deep space, it is a challenge to design and implement a highly reliable FPGA-based system for spacecraft, and no practical architecture has been proposed. In this paper, a new architecture for a reliable and reconfigurable FPGAbased computer in a highly critical GNC(guidance navigation and control) system is proposed. To mitigate the effect of an SEU on the system, multi-layer reconfiguration and multi-layer TMR(triple module redundancy) techniques are proposed, with a reliable reconfigurable real-time operating system(Space OS) managing the system level fault tolerance of the computer in the architecture. The proposed architecture for the reconfigurable FPGA-based computer has been implemented with COTS(commercial off the shelf) FPGA and has firstly been applied to the GNC system of a circumlunar return and reentry flight vehicle. 4Changes in T lymphocyte subsets after severe traumatic brain injury显示文摘BACKGROUND: Besides local changes of cranial parenchymal cells, hemorrhage, etc., severe traumatic brain injuries also cause the changes of total body fluid and various functions, and the changes of lymphocytes and T lymphocyte subsets should be paid more attention to. OBJECTIVE: To reveal the changing laws of T lymphocyte subsets after severe traumatic brain injury, and compare with mild to moderate brain injury. DESIGN: A comparative observation. SETTINGS: Department of Neurosurgery, Longgang District Buji People's Hospital of Shenzhen City; Central Laboratory of Shenzhen Hospital of Prevention and Cure for Chronic Disease. PARTICIPANTS: All the subjects were selected from the Department of Neurosurgery, Longgang District Buji People's Hospital of Shenzhen City from August 2002 to August 2005. Thirty patients with severe brain injury, whose Glasgow coma score (GCS) was ≤ 8 points, were taken as the experimental group, including 21 males and 9 females, aging 16–62 years. Meanwhile, 30 patients with mild traumatic brain injury were taken as the control group (GCS ranged 14–15 points), including 18 males and 12 females, aging 15–58 years. All the subjects were in admission at 6 hours after injury, without disease of major organs before injury. Informed consents were obtained from all the patients or their relatives. METHODS: ① The T lymphocytes and the subsets in peripheral blood were detected with immunofluorescent tricolor flow cytometry at 1, 3, 7 and 14 days after injury in both groups. ② The conditions of pulmonary infections were observed at 4 days after injury. The differences of measurement data were compared with the t test. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Changes of T lymphocytes subsets at 1–14 days after severe and mild or moderate traumatic injury. RESULTS: Finally, 28 and 25 patients with mild to moderate traumatic brain injury, whereas 25 and 21 patients with severe traumatic brain injury were analyzed at 7 and 14 days respectively, and the missed ones died due to the development of disease. ① Changes of T lymphocyte subsets: At 1 and 3 days after injury, CD3, CD4, CD8, CD4/CD8 began to decrease, whereas CD8 increased in the experimental group, which were very significantly different from those in the control group (t =2.77–3.26, P < 0.01), and began to recover at 7 days, which were significantly different from those in the control group (t = 2.06–2.24, P < 0.05), and generally recovered to the normal levels at 14 days (P > 0.05). ② Conditions of pulmonary infections: At 4 days after injury, the rate of pulmonary infection was significantly different between the experimental group and control group [73% (22/30), 0, χ2=37.29, P < 0.01]. 5Distribution Characteristics and Accumulation Model for the Coal-formed Gas Generated from Permo-Carboniferous Coal Measures in Bohai Bay Basin, China: A Review显示文摘Coal-formed gas generated from the Permo-Carboniferous coal measures has become one of the most important targets for deep hydrocarbon exploration in the Bohai Bay Basin,offshore eastern China.However,the proven gas reserves from this source rock remain low to date,and the distribution characteristics and accumulation model for the coal-formed gas are not clear.Here we review the coal-formed gas deposits formed from the Permo-Carboniferous coal measures in the Bohai Bay Basin.The accumulations are scattered,and dominated by middle-small sized gas fields,of which the proven reserves ranging from 0.002 to 149.4×108 m3 with an average of 44.30×108 m3 and a mid-point of 8.16×108 m3.The commercially valuable gas fields are mainly found in the central and southern parts of the basin.Vertically,the coal-formed gas is accumulated at multiple stratigraphic levels from Paleogene to Archaeozoic,among which the Paleogene and PermoCarboniferous are the main reservoir strata.According to the transporting pathway,filling mechanism and the relationship between source rocks and reservoir,the coal-formed gas accumulation model can be defined into three types:'Upward migrated,fault transported gas'accumulation model,'Laterally migrated,sandbody transported gas'accumulation model,and'Downward migrated,sub-source,fracture transported gas'accumulation model.Source rock distribution,thermal evolution and hydrocarbon generation capacity are the fundamental controlling factors for the macro distribution and enrichment of the coal-formed gas.The fault activity and the configuration of fault and caprock control the vertical enrichment pattern.JIANG Youlu HU Hongjin Jon GLUYAS ZHAO Kai 2019Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2019,93,6:4
6Mercury in soil,vegetable and human hair in a typical mining area in China:Implication for human exposure显示文摘Concentrations of total mercury(T-Hg) and methylmercury(MeHg) in soil, vegetables, and human hair were measured in a mercury mining area in central China. T-Hg and MeHg concentrations in soil ranged from 1.53 to 1054.97 mg/kg and 0.88 to 46.52 μg/kg, respectively.T-Hg concentrations was correlated with total organic carbon(TOC) content(R^2= 0.50, p<0.01)and pH values(R^2= 0.21, p<0.05). A significant linear relationship was observed between MeHg concentrations and the abundance of sulfate-reducing bacteria(SRB)(R^2= 0.39, p<0.05) in soil.Soil incubation experiments amended with specific microbial stimulants and inhibitors showed that Hg methylation was derived from SRB activity. T-Hg and MeHg concentrations in vegetables were 24.79 – 781.02 μg/kg and 0.01 – 0.18 μg/kg, respectively; levels in the edible parts were significantly higher than in the roots(T-Hg: p<0.05; MeHg: p<0.01). Hg species concentrations in rhizosphere soil were positively correlated to those in vegetables(p<0.01), indicating that soil was an important source of Hg in vegetables. Risk assessment indicated that the consumption of vegetables could result in higher probable daily intake(PDI) of T-Hg than the provisional tolerable daily intake(PTDI) for both adults and children. In contrast, the PDI of MeHg was lower than the reference dose. T-Hg and MeHg concentrations in hair samples ranged from 1.57 to 12.61 mg/kg and 0.04 to 0.94 mg/kg, respectively, and MeHg concentration in hair positively related to PDI of MeHg via vegetable consumption(R^2= 0.39, p<0.05), suggesting that vegetable may pose health risk to local residents.Qin Jia Xuemei Zhu Yaqiong Hao Ziliang Yang Qi Wang Haihui Fu Hongjin Yu 2018Journal of Environmental Sciences2018,30,6:3
7Effect of cerium on ignition point of AZ91D magnesium alloy显示文摘The surface and interior temperature-time curves of blocky cerium modified AZ91D magnesium alloy weremeasured during a non-protective heating and melting process. Two inflection points with rapid increase in temperaturewere found on both curves, which corresponded to the formation of 'auliflower' oxide on the surface and the occurrenceof flame during melting. These two temperatures are therefore defined as oxidation point and ignition point, respectively.The interior temperature-time curve is similar to that measured on the surface except for a comparable time delay. Theoxidation and ignition temperatures increase with Ce content, an average increase of 33℃ and 61℃ was found whenCe addition was about 1.0 wt %. However, the increasing rate of the oxidation and ignition temperature decreases withincreasing Ce content. 8Further study on tensor absolute value equations显示文摘In this paper,we consider the tensor absolute value equations(TAVEs),which is a newly introduced problem in the context of multilinear systems.Although the system of the TAVEs is an interesting generalization of matrix absolute value equations(AVEs),the well-developed theory and algorithms for the AVEs are not directly applicable to the TAVEs due to the nonlinearity(or multilinearity)of the problem under consideration.Therefore,we first study the solutions existence of some classes of the TAVEs with the help of degree theory,in addition to showing,by fixed point theory,that the system of the TAVEs has at least one solution under some checkable conditions.Then,we give a bound of solutions of the TAVEs for some special cases.To find a solution to the TAVEs,we employ the generalized Newton method and report some preliminary results.Chen Ling Weijie Yan Hongjin He Liqun Qi 2020Science China Mathematics2020,63,10:2
9Multi-objective Dynamic Reconfiguration for Urban Distribution Network Considering Multi-level Switching Modes显示文摘The increasing integration of photovoltaic generators(PVGs) and the uneven economic development in different regions may cause the unbalanced spatial-temporal distribution of load demands in an urban distribution network(UDN). This may lead to undesired consequences, including PVG curtailment, load shedding, and equipment inefficiency, etc. Global dynamic reconfiguration provides a promising method to solve those challenges. However, the power flow transfer capabilities for different kinds of switches are diverse, and the willingness of distribution system operators(DSOs) to select them is also different. In this paper, we formulate a multi-objective dynamic reconfiguration optimization model suitable for multi-level switching modes to minimize the operation cost, load imbalance, and the PVG curtailment. The multi-level switching includes feeder-level switching, transformer-level switching, and substation-level switching. A novel load balancing index is devised to quantify the global load balancing degree at different levels. Then, a stochastic programming model based on selected scenarios is established to address the uncertainties of PVGs and loads. Afterward, the fuzzy c-means(FCMs) clustering is applied to divide the time periods of reconfiguration. Furthermore, the modified binary particle swarm optimization(BPSO)and Cplex solver are combined to solve the proposed mixed-integer second-order cone programming(MISOCP) model. 16Financial Factors,Openness and the Natural Interest Rate in China显示文摘China's financial market has undergone significant changes since financial deleveraging commenced and regulatory supervision was tightened in 2017.Intensifying China-US trade tensions have further increased the uncertainties of external environments.In this article,we use a Bayesian approach instead of the standard maximum likelihood estimation in the Laubach-Williams model to estimate the natural interest rate by considering financial factors and open conditions,and analyze the relationships among the natural interest rate,economic activities and monetary policies.We find that technological and demographic factors are the main drivers of natural interest rates,while financial factors and open conditions also play important roles.In particular,shocks in the financial markets and the external economic environment in recent years are important reasons for the decline of China's natural interest rate.Therefore,it is necessary to strengthen research on the estimation of the natural interest rate to ensure China's transformation into more price-based monetary policy and high-quality development.Hongjin Li Naifang Su 2020China & World Economy2020,28,4:1
