| 1 | On the infimum problem of Hilbert space effects显示文摘The quantum effects for a physical system can be described by the set ε(H) of positive operators on a complex Hilbert space Hthat are bounded above by the identity operator Ⅰ. The infimum problem of Hilbert space effects is to find under what condition the infimum A∧B exists for two quantum effects A and B ∈ε(H). The problem has been studied in different contexts by R. Kadison, S. Gudder, M. Moreland, and T. Ando. In this note, using the method of the spectral theory of operators, we give a complete answer of the infimum problem. | 2 | Lithospheric structure and faulting characteristics of the Helan Mountains and Yinchuan Basin: Results of deep seismic reflection profiling显示文摘The Helan Mountains and Yinchuan Basin(HM-YB) are located at the northern end of the North-South tectonic belt,and form an intraplate tectonic deformation zone in the western margin of the North China Craton(NCC).The HM-YB has a complicated history of formation and evolution,and is tectonically active at the present day.It has played a dominant role in the complex geological structure and modern earthquake activities of the region.A 135-km-long deep seismic reflection profile across the HM-YB was acquired in early 2014,which provides detailed information of the lithospheric structure and faulting characteristics from near-surface to various depths in the region.The results show that the Moho gradually deepens from east to west in the depth range of 40-48 km along the profile.Significant differences are present in the crustal structure of different tectonic units,including in the distribution of seismic velocities,depths of intra-crustal discontinuities and undulation pattern of the Moho.The deep seismic reflection profile further reveals distinct structural characteristics on the opposite sides of the Helan Mountains.To the east,The Yellow River fault,the eastern piedmont fault of the Helan Mountains,as well as multiple buried faults within the Yinchuan Basin are all normal faults and still active since the Quaternary.These faults have controlled the Cenozoic sedimentation of the basin,and display a 'negative-flower' structure in the profile.To the west,the Bayanhaote fault and the western piedmont fault of the Helan Mountains are east-dipping thrust faults,which caused folding,thrusting,and structural deformation in the Mesozoic stratum of the Helan Mountains uplift zone.A deep-penetrating fault is identified in the western side of the Yinchuan Basin.It has a steep inclination cutting through the middle-lower crust and the Moho,and may be connected to the two groups of faults in the upper crust.This set of deep and shallow fault system consists of both strike-slip,thrust,and normal faults formed over different eras,and provides the key tectonic conditions for the basin-mountains coupling,crustal deformation and crust-mantle interactions in the region.The other important phenomenon revealed from the results of deep seismic reflection profiling is the presence of a strong upper mantle reflection(UMR) at a depth of 82-92 km beneath the HM-YB,indicating the existence of a rapid velocity variation or a velocity discontinuity in that depth range.This is possibly a sign of vertical structural inhomogeneity in the upper mantle of the region.The seismic results presented here provide new clues and observational bases for further study of the deep structure,structural differences among various blocks and the tectonic relationship between deep and shallow processes in the western NCC. | LIU BaoJin FENG ShaoYing JI JiFa WANG ShuaiJun ZHANG JianShi YUAN HongKe YANG GuoJun | 2017 | Science China Earth Sciences2017,60,3: | 11 |

Under non-vacuum and no shielded gas, the welding parameter of isothermal superplastic solidphase welding and the effect of surface microstructure prior to pressure welding on the quality of joint are studied. | 4 | The synthesis of 6-(tert-butyl)-8-fluoro-2,3-dimethylquinoline carbonate derivatives and their antifungal activity against Pyricularia oryzae显示文摘A series of novel 6-(/er/-butyl)-8-fluoro-2,3- dimethylquinoline carbonate derivatives were designed and synthesized. Bioassay results showed that some of them exhibited good activity against Pyricularia oryzae (P. oryzae). It was found that the compound 5q (benzyl (6-(tert-butyl)-8-fluoro-2,3-dimethylquinolin-4-yl) carbonate) possessed good activity against P. oryzae whatever protective activity (10 mg·L^-1) or curative activity (25 mg·L^-1), which was better than that of control tebufloquin. | 5 | Isolation and Characteristics of a Microbial Consortium for Effectively Degrading Phenanthrene显示文摘A microbial consortium (named W4) capable of aerobic biodegradation of solid phenanthrene as the sole source of carbon and energy was isolated by selective enrichment from petroleum-contaminated soil in the Henan oilfield, China. The strains of the consortium were identified as Sphingomonas cloacae, Rhizobium sp., Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Achromobacter xylosoxidans respectively by means of genetic methods. The major metabolites of phenanthrene were analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). The biodegradation percentage of solid phenanthrene at 200 mg/L in liquid medium after 7 days of growth was greater than 99%. The degradation of phenanthrene was compared between individual predominant strains and the microbial consortium in different treatment processes. The microbial consortium showed a significant improvement of phenanthrene degradation rates in either static or shaking culture. The degradation percentage of phenanthrene by the consortium W4 decreased to some degree when C16 coexisted, however it was hardly affected by C30. Furthermore, the ability of consortium W4 to remediate oil sludge from the Dagang oil refinery was studied by composting; and it was found that the consortium W4 could obviously remove polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and paraffinic hydrocarbons. | 7 | A Survey on Smart Collaborative Identifier Networks显示文摘The current Internet architecture was designed on the basis of a triple bindings model, which could meet the needs of the early Internet. However, with the tremendous growth of the Internet and the continuous innovations of applications, the triple bindings(namely, control/data binding, resource/location binding and user/network binding) have given rise to many problems for the Internet, such as scalability, mobility, and security. In order to solve these problems, many network techniques have been developed. Besides, novel future Internet architectures including Information-Centric Networks and Software-Defined Networks have emerged. However, these architectures only partially decouple the triple bindings. To completely separate the triple bindings, Smart Collaborative Identifier Networks(SINET) is proposed. There have been many research efforts on SINET, which built the foundation of SINET being a promising future Internet. In this paper, we comprehensively introduce SINET and these related research works. We start by introducing the motivation for SINET, explain its fundamental concepts and how it can make a difference. Next, we present in details the design principles of every layer in SINET, explaining how it can decouple the triple bindings and solve the problems of the current Internet. Finally, we discuss the state-of-theart challenges in SINET. | 11 | Qos-driven SCTP-based multimedia delivery over heterogeneous wireless networks显示文摘Stream Control Transport Protocol(SCTP)-based handover is supposedly the best suit for current mobile Internet users. However, prevalent SCTP-based handover solutions mostly evaluate candidate networks by a function of multiple attributes such as available bandwidth, delay, etc., which tend to vary often in burst and might cause the instability of handover decisions. Moreover, the SCTP congestion control strategy leads to sudden degradation of users' quality of experience for multimedia streaming service because of abrupt and frequent strong fluctuations in the transmission rate. In this paper, we propose a novel QoS-driven SCTPbased handover solution(SCTP-QD) appropriate for heterogeneous wireless multimedia transmission. A new network service and transport layer QoS-aware model is designed to help SCTP-QD accurately analyze the service stability and data transmission capacity for each path. A proper QoS-driven handover decision model is introduced in SCTP-QD in order to improve the SCTP handover efficiency while reducing unnecessary handoffs and fail-over probability. A proposal is finally addressed to help SCTP-QD avoid the slow start phase whenever handover occurs.
