1Longitudinal,transverse,density-of-states,and conductivity masses of electrons in(001),(101) and(111) biaxiallystrained-Si and strained-Si_(1-x)Ge_x显示文摘In this study,the electron effective masses,including longitudinal,transverse,density-of-states and conductivity effective masses,have been systematically investigated in(001),(101) and(111) biaxially strained Si and Si1-xGex.It is found that the effect of strain on the longitudinal and transverse masses can be neglected,that the density-of-states masses in(001) and(110) biaxially strained Si and Si1-xGex materials decrease significantly with increasing Ge fraction(x),and that the conductivity masses along typical orientations in(001) and(110) strained Si and Si1-xGex.are obviously different from those in relaxed Si.The quantitative results obtained from this work may provide valuable theoretical references to understanding strained materials physics and studying conduction channel design related to stress and orientations in the strained devices.SONG JianJun YANG Chao ZHANG HeMing HU HuiYong ZHOU ChunYu WANG Bin 2012Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2012,55,11:5

3Rho kinase mediates transforming growth factor-β1-induced vasculogenic mimicry formation: involvement of the epithelial-mesenchymal transition and cancer stemness activity显示文摘Vasculogenic mimicry(VM),a newly defined pattern of tumor blood supply,has been identified in several malignant tumors,including hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Rho kinase(ROCK)plays an important role in various types of cancers.However,whether ROCK participates in transforming growth factor-β1(TGF-β1)-induced VM formation is unclear.Here,we evaluated the role of ROCK in TGF-β1-induced VM formation in HCC.Our findings showed that the TGF-β1/ROCK signaling pathway is involved in VM formation by inducing the epithelial-mesenchymal transition.Furthermore,TGF-^1 and ROCK were found to play distinct roles in the cancer stem cell phenotype during VM formation.These results provide insights into potential antitumor therapies for inhibiting VM by targeting the TGF-pi/ROCK signaling pathway in HCC.Xue Zhang Jigang Zhang Heming Zhou Gaolin Liu Qin Li 2020Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2020,52,4:1
4Loss-of-function of sox3 causes follicle development retardation and reduces fecundity in zebrafish显示文摘Folliculogenesis is essential for production of female gametes in vertebrates.However,the molecular mechanisms underlying follicle development,particularly apoptosis regulation in ovary,remain elusive.Here,we gen erated sox3 knockout zebrafish lines using CRISPR/Cas9.sox3 knockout led to follicle development retardation and a reduced fecundity in females.Comparative analysis of transcriptome between sox3^-/-and wild-type ovaries revealed that Sox3 was invoIved in pathways of ovarian steroidogenesis and apoptosis.Knockout of sox3 promoted follicle apoptosis and obvious apoptosis signals were detected in somatic cells of stages III and IV follicles of sox3^-/-ovaries.Moreover,Sox3 can bind to and activate the promoter of cyp19a1a.Up-regulation of Cyp19a1a expression promoted 17β-estradiol synthesis,which inhibited apoptosis in follicle development.Thus,Sox3 functions as a regulator of Cyp19a1a expression,via 17β-E2 linking apoptosis suppression,which is implicated in improving female fecundity.Qiang Hong Cong Li Ruhong Ying Heming Lin Jingqiu Li Yu Zhao Hanhua Cheng Rongjia Zhou 2019Protein & Cell2019,10,5:1

7Kinetics of Nitrogen Removal from Molten Steel under Vacuum and Gas-Blowing Conditions显示文摘The kinetics of nitrogen removal from molten steel under vacuum and gas-blowing conditions has beenstudied during the VIM process. The experimental results indicated that vacuum affected the kinetics of nitrogenremoval in the range of 67-5 360 Pa. At 67 Pa, the rate of nitrogen removal is controlled by the liquid phase masstransfer of nitrogen in molten steel. At 2 680Pa, the limited step for nitrogen removal from molten steel is the chemical reaction at the metal/gas interface. Under the present experimental conditions, the type (Ar, CO, CO2) and quantity of gas flowed have no evident influences on the rate of nitrogen removal. The ratio of nitrogen removal of gasbubbles is less than 3 %. Based on the experimental results, the mechanism of nitrogen removal during the VDprocess with argon blowing and the other melting or secondary refining processes with carbon-oxygen reaction havebeen discussed. 8Hybrid Sooty Tern Optimization and Differential Evolution for Feature Selection显示文摘In this paper,a hybrid model based on sooty tern optimization algo-rithm(STOA)is proposed to optimize the parameters of the support vector machine(SVM)and identify the best feature sets simultaneously.Feature selec-tion is an essential process of data preprocessing,and it aims to find the most rele-vant subset of features.In recent years,it has been applied in many practical domains of intelligent systems.The application of SVM in many fields has proved its effectiveness in classification tasks of various types.Its performance is mainly determined by the kernel type and its parameters.One of the most challenging process in machine learning is feature selection,intending to select effective and representative features.The main disadvantages of feature selection processes included in classical optimization algorithm are local optimal stagnation and slow convergence.Therefore,the hybrid model proposed in this paper merges the STOA and differential evolution(DE)to improve the search efficiency and con-vergence rate.A series of experiments are conducted on 12 datasets from the UCI repository to comprehensively and objectively evaluate the performance of the proposed method.The superiority of the proposed method is illustrated from dif-ferent aspects,such as the classification accuracy,convergence performance,reduced feature dimensionality,standard deviation(STD),and computation time.Heming Jia Yao Li Kangjian Sun Ning Cao Helen Min Zhou 2021Computer Systems Science & Engineering2021,39,12:0

10Deceptive Chinese speech detection based on sparse decomposition of cepstral feature显示文摘In order to improve the performance of deception detection based on Chinese speech signals, a method of sparse decomposition on spectral feature is proposed. First, the wavelet packet transform is applied to divide the speech signal into multiple sub-bands. Band cepstral features of wavelet packets are obtained by operating the discrete cosine transform on loga?rithmic energy of each sub-band. The cepstral feature is generated by combing Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficient and Wavelet Packet Band Cepstral Coefficient. Second, K-singular value decomposition algorithm is employed to achieve the training of an over-complete mixture dictionary based on both the truth and deceptive feature sets, and an orthogonal matching pursuit algorithm is used for sparse coding according to the mixture dictionary to get sparse feature.Finally, recognition experiments axe performed with various classified modules. Experimental results show that the sparse decomposition method has better performance comparied with con?ventional dimension reduced methods.
