1A New Species of the Genus Protobothrops(Squamata:Viperidae:Crotalinae) from the Dabie Mountains,Anhui,China显示文摘During a biological survey in July 2011, a pit viper was collected from the Yaoluoping Nature Reserve in the Dabie Mountains, Anhui, China. The pit viper's the total length measured 836 mm with a dorsal ground color of yellowbrown, decorated by 56 dark-brown transverse bands. The 4thsupralabial squama of the new species is separated from subocular by two squamae, and the tip of tail is orange; this combination of characters distinguish it from other species of the genus Protobothrops. 3Fiber optic monitoring of an anti-slide pile in a retrogressive landslide显示文摘Anti-slide piles are one of the most important reinforcement structures against landslides,and evalu-ating the working conditions is of great significance for landslide mitigation.The widely adopted analytical methods of pile internal forces include cantilever beam method and elastic foundation beam method.However,due to many assumptions involved in calculation,the analytical models cannot be fully applicable to complex site situations,e.g.landslides with multi-sliding surfaces and pile-soil interface separation as discussed herein.In view of this,the combination of distributed fiber optic sensing(DFOS)and strain-internal force conversion methods was proposed to evaluate the working conditions of an anti-sliding pile in a typical retrogressive landslide in the Three Gorges reservoir area,China.Brillouin optical time domain reflectometry(BOTDR)was utilized to monitor the strain distri-bution along the pile.Next,by analyzing the relative deformation between the pile and its adjacent inclinometer,the pile-soil interface separation was profiled.Finally,the internal forces of the anti-slide pile were derived based on the strain-internal force conversion method.According to the ratio of calculated internal forces to the design values,the working conditions of the anti-slide pile could be evaluated.The results demonstrated that the proposed method could reveal the deformation pattern of the anti-slide pile system,and can quantitatively evaluate its working conditions.Lei Zhang Honghu Zhu Heming Han Bin Shi 2024Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2024,16,1:0
4Phenolic rigid organic filler/isotactic polypropylene composites. Ⅲ. Impact resistance property显示文摘A novel phenolic rigid organic filler(KT)was used to modify isotactic polypropylene(iPP).The influence of KT particles on the impact resistance property of PP/KT specimens(with similar interparticles distance,1.8μm)was studied by notched izod impact tests.It was found that the brittle-ductile transition(BDT)of the PP/KT microcomposites took place at the filler content of about 4%,and the impact strength attains the maximum at 5%(with filler particles size of 1.5μm),which is about 2.5 times that of unfilled iPP specimens.The impact fracture morphology was investigated by scanning electron micro-scopy(SEM).For the PP/KT specimens and the high-density polyethylene/KT(HDPE/KT)specimens in ductile fracture mode,many microfibers could be found on the whole impact fracture surface.It was the filler particles that induced the plastic deformation of interparticles ligament and hence improved the capability of iPP matrix on absorbing impact energy dramatically.The determinants on the BDT were further discussed on the basis of stress concentration and debonding resistance.It can be con-cluded that aside from the interparticle distance,the filler particles size also plays an important role in semicrystal-line polymer toughening.Heming LIN Dongming QI Jian HAN Zhiqi CAI Minghua WU 2009Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering2009,3,2:0
5Multikinase inhibitor-based immunotherapy doublet for advanced hepatocellular carcinoma:its efficacy still needs to be determined显示文摘The current landscape for advanced hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)has evolved drastically in recent years,with the ever-increasing development of novel standard first-line therapeutic strategies(e.g.,the combination of atezolizumab and bevacizumab)and the approval of several new agents for second line strategies,such as regorafenib and cabozantinib(1,2).Although a large number of treatment options are available for advanced HCC patients,multikinase inhibitor(MKI)-based immunotherapy doublet has become notably complex,especially after the publication of the COSMIC-312 trial(3).This study evaluated the efficacy and safety of cabozantinib combined with atezolizumab versus sorafenib as the first-line treatment of patients with advanced HCC.Although the primary endpoint of progression-free survival(PFS)was significantly improved with treatment using cabozantinib combined with atezolizumab compared with sorafenib in the COSMIC-312 trial,the overall survival(OS)did not improve,and the response rate was lower than expected(3).Nevertheless,this was a crucial randomized controlled trial(RCT)evaluating the efficacy of MKI-based immunotherapy doublet as the first-line systemic therapy for advanced HCC,paving the way for future investigations to determine the underlying mechanism of these connections.We have several concerns with the interpretation of this study.Heming Li Xiangjun Hao Tao Han 2023Hepatobiliary Surgery and Nutrition2023,12,3:0
6Distribution of Vasoative Intestinal Polypeptide in CranialParasym pathetic Ganglion of the Rat显示文摘Immunoreactivity (IR) for vasoactive intestinal polypeptide (VIP) of cranial parasympathetic ganglia of the rat was observed with indirect immunofluorescent method. It was found that there were VIP IR principal neurons in the ciliary, pterygopalatine, and otic ganglia. The highest positive ratio of VIP IR cells was located in the ciliary ganglia (34.8%), followed by that in the pterygopalatine ganglia(17.0%), and the lowest was found in the otic ganglia (15.4%). VIP IR small intensely fluorescent (SIF) cells and nerve fibers were not observed.
