| 1 | Systematic Identification of the Light-quality Responding Anthocyanin Synthesis-related Transcripts in Petunia Petals显示文摘Previous studies have shown that high light intensity can induce anthocyanin synthesis(AS)in petunia plants.To identifywhich kind of light quality plays a role in inducing such metabolic process,and what transcripts participate in controlling it,we carried out whole-transcriptome sequencing and analysis of petunia petals treated with different light-quality conditions.Among the red and white light treatments,a total of 2205 differentially expressed genes and 15,22,and 20 differentially expressed circRNAs,miRNAs,and lncRNAs,were identified respectively.The AS-related genes,including the structural genes CHSj,F3H,F35H,DFR,and ANS,and the regulatory genes AN4,DPL,PHZ and MYBx were found to be downregulated under red light condition compared with their levels under white light condition.Furthermore,the light photoreceptor Cryptochrome 3(CRY3)and a series of light-dependent genes,such as PIF,HY5,andBBXs,were also determined to respond to the light treatments.The anthocyanin contents in early petunia petals under red light were significantly lower than that under white and blue light.The results of qRT-PCR further confirmed the expression pattern of some AS-related and light-response genes in response to different light quality.Yeast two-hybrid results showed that the key elements in the light signal pathway,HY5 can interact with BBX19,BBX24 and BBX25.And PHZ,the important AS regulator can induce anthocyanin synthesis in response to blue light quality fromtransient expression analysis in petunia petals.These findings presented here not only deepen our understanding of how light quality controls anthocyanin synthesis,but also allow us to explore potential target genes for improving pigment production in petunia flower petals. | Zhenzhu Fu Hongquan Shang Hui Jiang Jie Gao Xiaoyu Dong Huijuan Wang Yanmin Li Limin Wang Jing Zhang Qingyan Shu Yacong Chao Menglan Xu Rui Wang Liangsheng Wang Hechen Zhang | 2020 | Horticultural Plant Journal2020,6,6: | 7 |
| 2 | A direct-variance-analysis method for generalized stochastic eigenvalue problem based on matrix perturbation theory显示文摘It has been extensively recognized that the engineering structures are becoming increasingly precise and complex,which makes the requirements of design and analysis more and more rigorous.Therefore the uncertainty effects are indispensable during the process of product development.Besides,iterative calculations,which are usually unaffordable in calculative efforts,are unavoidable if we want to achieve the best design.Taking uncertainty effects into consideration,matrix perturbation methodpermits quick sensitivity analysis and structural dynamic re-analysis,it can also overcome the difficulties in computational costs.Owing to the situations above,matrix perturbation method has been investigated by researchers worldwide recently.However,in the existing matrix perturbation methods,correlation coefficient matrix of random structural parameters,which is barely achievable in engineering practice,has to be given or to be assumed during the computational process.This has become the bottleneck of application for matrix perturbation method.In this paper,we aim to develop an executable approach,which contributes to the application of matrix perturbation method.In the present research,the first-order perturbation of structural vibration eigenvalues and eigenvectors is derived on the basis of the matrix perturbation theory when structural parameters such as stiffness and mass have changed.Combining the first-order perturbation of structural vibration eigenvalues and eigenvectors with the probability theory,the variance of structural random eigenvalue is derived from the perturbation of stiffness matrix,the perturbation of mass matrix and the eigenvector of baseline-structure directly.Hence the Direct-VarianceAnalysis(DVA)method is developed to assess the variation range of the structural random eigenvalues without correlation coefficient matrix being involved.The feasibility of the DVA method is verified with two numerical examples(one is trusssystem and the other is wing structure of MA700 commercial aircraft),in which the DVA method also shows superiority in computational efficiency when compared to the Monte-Carlo method. | QIU ZhiPing QIU HeChen | 2014 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2014,57,6: | 3 |
| 3 | A multifunctional integrated simultaneously online screening microfluidic biochip for the examination of “efficacy-toxicity” and compatibility of medicine显示文摘A multifunctional integrated microfluidic biochip device was engineered to estimate the activity-toxicity and composition principle of medicine in a cell model in vitro. This biochip could be used for disease cells and healthy cells in two modules of 'Yin-Yang' on the same chip for detecting the medicine efficacytoxicity simultaneously, as well as adjust different gradient ratios of concentration through the Christmas tree structure in both 'Yin-Yang' modules autonomously for detecting the best compatibility of medicine in maximum efficacy and minimal toxicity. In the applicability experiment, the best concentration of three chemical compounds including dinatin, diosmetin and cisplatin, were detected using the biochip and traditional 96-cell plate. | 4 | The coloring mechanism of a novel golden variety in Populus deltoides based on the RGB color mode显示文摘Compared to flower color and red leaf mutants,the mechanism of yellow leaf formation in woody plants is more complicated and less understood.Poplars are common and widely distributed perennial trees.Here,we obtained a golden leaf mutant poplar variety(JHY)and compared it with its original green leaf poplar(Populus sp.Linn.‘2025’)in terms of phenotype,pigment content,the transcriptomes and metabolomes.Through transcriptome sequencing,we found that the chlorophyll degradation genes,and the genes in anthocyanin metabolism in JHY were up-regulated compared to L2025 and the carotenoid synthesis genes were down-regulated.Further based on HPLC-ESI-MS/MS technology,16 differentially expressed anthocyanins were identified,14 reddish anthocyanins of which were significantly up-regulated.According to these results,we proposed a coloring mechanism of JHY based on the RGB color mode.The yellow color of carotenoids and the red color of anthocyanins overlay each other,combined with a reduction in chlorophyll,turning the leaves golden.This study systematic analyzes the causes of golden leaf formation through the omics integration approach,which will provide reference for the breeding of golden leaf trees. | Yuru Tian Shupei Rao Qianqian Li Meng Xu Aike Wang Hechen Zhang Jinhuan Chen | 2021 | Forestry Research2021,1,1: | 2 |

| 10 | Unintended changes in ocular biometric parameters during a 6-month follow-up period after FS-LASIK and SMILE显示文摘Background:Corneal refractive surgery has become reliable for correcting refractive errors,but it can induce unintended ocular changes that alter refractive outcomes.This study is to evaluate the unintended changes in ocular biometric parameters over a 6-month follow-up period after femtosecond laser-assisted laser in situ keratomileusis(FS-LASIK)and small incision lenticule extraction(SMILE).Methods:156 consecutive myopic patients scheduled for FS-LASIK and SMILE were included in this study.Central corneal thickness(CCT),mean curvature of the corneal posterior surface(K_(pm)),internal anterior chamber depth(IACD)and the length from corneal endothelium to retina(ER)were evaluated before and after surgery over a 6-month period.Results:Both the FS-LASIK and SMILE groups(closely matched at the pre-surgery stage)experienced flatter Kpm,shallower IACD and decreased ER 1 week post-surgery(P<0.01),and these changes were larger in FS-LASIK than in SMILE group.During the 1 week to 6 months follow up period,K_(pm),IACD and ER remained stable unlike CCT which increased significantly(P<0.05),more in the FS-LASIK group.Conclusions:During the follow up,the posterior corneal surface became flatter and shifted posteriorly,the anterior chamber depth and the length from the corneal endothelium to retina decreased significantly compared with the pre-surgery stage.These unintended changes in ocular biometric parameters were greater in patients undergoing FS-LASIK than SMILE.The changes present clear challenges for IOL power calculations and should be considered to avoid affecting the outcome of cataract surgery. | Junjie Wang Bernardo T.Lopes Hechen Li Riccardo Vinciguerra Si Cao Songan Wu Rong Zhu Qinmei Wang Xiaobo Zheng Fangjun Bao Ahmed Elsheikh | 2021 | Eye and Vision2021,8,1: | 1 |

Using the Chernoff bound combined with transfer function bounding technique, we provide a new analytical method. To quantify the upper bound of the error performance, we derive the probability density function (pdf) of the frequency domain fading channel and make a novel approximation to the Euclidean distance. | 16 | The Mechanisms of Luteolin in Treating COVID-19 Based on Bioinformatics Analysis and Molecular Docking显示文摘Luteolin is a natural flavonoid that has a variety of pharmacological activities, such as anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, anti-bacterial, anti-viral, apoptosis inhibition, cell autophagy regulation, and anti-tumor activity. It is one of the main ingredients of an expert-recommended herbal formula for the prevention and treatment of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). This suggests that luteolin has strong pharmacological effects on the prevention and treatment of COVID-19. The aims of this study were to identify the molecular targets of luteolin and to infer the possible mechanisms by which it exerts its pharmacological effects. The GSE159787 data set was obtained from the Gene Expression Omnibus online database, and differentially expressed genes were analyzed. There were 22 upregulated differentially expressed genes enriched in the COVID-19 signaling pathway, suggesting that the upregulation of these genes may be closely related to the occurrence of COVID-19. Molecular docking results showed that luteolin had strong binding efficiency to 20 of these 22 key genes. Six of these genes (CFB, EIF2AK2, OAS1, MAPK11, OAS3, and STAT1) showed strong binding activity. | 17 | The combination of DNA methylation and positive regulation of anthocyanin biosynthesis by MYB and bHLH transcription factors contributes to the petal blotch formation in Xibei tree peony显示文摘Xibei tree peony is a distinctive cultivar group that features red–purple blotches in petals.Interestingly,the pigmentations of blotches and non-blotches are largely independent of one another.The underlying molecular mechanism had attracted lots of attention from investigators,but was still uncertain.Our present work demonstrates the factors that are closely related to blotch formation in Paeonia rockii‘Shu Sheng Peng Mo’.Non-blotch pigmentation is prevented by the silencing of anthocyanin structural genes,among which PrF3H,PrDFR,and PrANS are the three major genes.We characterized two R2R3-MYBs as the key transcription factors that control the early and late anthocyanin biosynthetic pathways.PrMYBa1,which belongs to MYB subgroup 7(SG7)was found to activate the early biosynthetic gene(EBG)PrF3H by interacting with SG5 member PrMYBa2 to form an‘MM’complex.The SG6 member PrMYBa3 interacts with two SG5(IIIf)bHLHs to synergistically activate the late biosynthetic genes(LBGs)PrDFR and PrANS,which is essential for anthocyanin accumulation in petal blotches.The comparison of methylation levels of the PrANS and PrF3H promoters between blotch and non-blotch indicated a correlation between hypermethylation and gene silencing.The methylation dynamics of PrANS promoter during flower development revealed a potential early demethylating reaction,which may have contributed to the particular expression of PrANS solely in the blotch area.We suggest that the formation of petal blotch may be highly associated with the cooperation of transcriptional activation and DNA methylation of structural gene promoters. | Jin Zhu Yizhou Wang Qianyu Wang Bing Li Xiaohan Wang Xian Zhou Hechen Zhang Wenzhong Xu Shanshan Li Liangsheng Wang | 2023 | Horticulture Research2023,10,7: | 0 |

This paper presents an analytical vertical handover initiation model based on Received signal strength(RSS) criterion and network blocking probability criterion. Meanwhile, the handover performance criteria of interest are: the handover probability and call-dropping probability. The analytical formulas are derived in details and the handover performance is evaluated by computer simulations. | 19 | The feasibility of continuous basalt fibre-reinforced polymer application to composite cross-arms显示文摘Composite cross-arms have the advantages of high lightning resistance but impose onerous requirements on mechanical and insulation reliability.Traditional glass fibre composites fail to meet the needs of practical applications.Basalt fibre exhibits better mechanical properties and stability than glass fibre and has potential application value.This study aims to evaluate the feasibility of its application to composite cross-arms.The mechanical,electrical,and physical properties of basalt fibre-reinforced polymer(BFRP)were investigated and compared with glass fibre-reinforced polymer(GFRP).The results indicate that BFRP has better thermal stability and mechanical properties than GFRP.Among them,the temperature at the maximum weight loss rate of BFRP is 14℃ higher than that of GFRP,and the tensile and flexural modulus of BFRP is 43%and 29%higher than those of GFRP.Furthermore,the dielectric losses of BFRP and GFRP at 50 Hz are 2%,and the breakdown field strength is 22 kV/mm,both of which have the same insulation properties.BFRP meets the requirements of composite cross-arm for quality and reliability to ensure the safety and stability of transmission lines.However,the interlaminar shear test and SEM show weak interfacial bonding strength between basalt fibre and resin.Furthermore,micro-computed tomography scanning of BFRP and GFRP and 3D construction of their internal microstructures indicate that the pore defect content of BFRP reaches 0.034%,which far exceeds that of GFRP.These findings show that the wettability and adhesion between basalt fibre and resin must be improved.Developing special sizing agents for basalt fibre is necessary further to improve the mechanical and electrical properties of BFRP. | Yunpeng Liu Mingjia Zhang Hechen Liu Yunfan Ma Wanxian Wang Xiaohan Dai Jie Liu | 2023 | High Voltage2023,8,3: | 0 |
