1Hydrocarbon Vertical Continuity Evaluation in the Cretaceous Reservoirs of Azadegan Oilfield, Southwest of Iran: Implications for Reservoir Geochemistry显示文摘A collection of data obtained from analytical methods in geochemistry along with the reservoir engineering and geologic data were used to investigate the reservoir continuity in the Cretaceous Fahliyan, Gadavan, Kazhdumi and Sarvak reservoirs of the super-giant Azadegan oilfield, SW Iran. The geochemical data indicate that the oil samples, with medium to high level of thermal maturity, have been generated from the anoxic marine marl/carbonate source rock(s). The Sargelu(Jurassic) and Garau(Cretaceous) formations are introduced as the main source rocks for the studied oils. The dendrogram obtained from the cluster analysis of high-resolution gas chromatography data introduces two main oil groups including Fahliyan reservoir, and Kazhdumi along with Sarvak/Gadvan reservoirs. This is confirmed by C7 Halpern star diagram, indicating that, the light oil fraction from Fahliyan reservoir is distinct from the others. Also, different pressure gradient of the Fahliyan Formation(over-pressured) relative to other reservoirs(normally-pressured) show the presence of compartments. The relation between toluene/n-heptane and n-heptane/methylcyclohexane represents the compartmentalization due to maturation/evaporative fractionation for Fahliyan and water washing for other studied reservoirs. 4Anticancer potential of Ferula assa-foetida and its constituents,a powerful plant for cancer therapy显示文摘Cancer is one of the main challenges of the health system around the world.This disease is increasing in developing countries and imposes heavy costs on patients and governments.On the other hand,despite various drugs,the death rate among cancer patients is still high and the current treatments have many harmful effects.In the traditional medicine of different countries,there are many medicinal plants that can be effective in the treatment of cancer.Ferula plants are traditionally used as spices and food or for medicinal purposes.Ferula assa-foetida is one of the famous plants of this genus,which has been used for the treatment of various diseases since ancient times.Among the main compounds of this plant,we can mention monoterpenes,sulfide compounds and polyphenols,which can show different therapeutic effects.This article has been compiled with the aim of collecting evidence and articles related to the anti-cancer effects of extracts,derived compounds,essential oils and nanoparticles containing Ferula assa-foetida.This review article was prepared by searching the terms Ferula assa-foetida and cancer,and relevant information was collected through searching electronic databases such as ISI Web of Knowledge,PubMed,and Google Scholar.Fortunately,the results of this review showed that relatively comprehensive studies have been conducted in this field and shown that Ferula assa-foetida can be very promising in the treatment of cancer.Mohammad Amin Ghaffari Sirizi Jalil Alizadeh Ghalenoei Mohammad Allahtavakoli Hasan Forouzanfar Seyyed Majid Bagheri 2023World Journal of Biological Chemistry2023,14,2:1
