1Deformation characteristics and genesis of the Waziyu metamorphic core complex in western Liaoning of China显示文摘The Waziyu metamorphic core complex is situated at the eastern end of the Yanshan tectonic belt. The NNE-striking detachment ductile shear zone in the core complex lies between the Archean metamorphic basement and Fuxin-Yixian rift basin, dips NW gently, and shows corrugation folds.Exposure structures, microstructures, and quartz C-axis fabrics all indicate top-to-the WNW sense of shear,i.e.,ca.285°,for the shear zone.Estimates of the deformation temperatures(ca.550-250°C) demonstrate its mid-crustal origination and progressive deformation from deep to shallow levels. The northern segment of the shear zone shows relatively weak exhumation with exposures of low-temperature mylonites whereas its middle and southern segments have more intense uplifting with exposures of high-temperature mylonites.Biotite and muscovite 40 Ar/39 Ar ages,U-Pb dating results of zircon from dikes and plutons as well as formation ages of the supra-detachment basin all suggest the formation time of 135-100 Ma for the core complex. The formation was also associated with syntectonic emplacement of the Early Cretaceous Shishan pluton. The western margin of the core complex was truncated by the Sunjiawan-Shaohuyingzi brittle normal fault when it uplifted to shallow crust levels, and finally exhumed to near-surface levels. The core complex was developed by the rolling-hinge model under WNW-ESE extension during the Early Cretaceous peak destruction of the North China Craton.Ductile flow did not appear in the lower plate, therefore not supporting the low-crust gravitational collapse.ZHANG BiLong ZHU Guang CHEN Yin PIAO XueFeng JU LinXue WANG HaoQian 2012Science China Earth Sciences2012,55,11:4
2Unsupervised content-preserving transformation for optical microscopy显示文摘The development of deep learning and open access to a substantial collection of imaging data together provide a potential solution for computational image transformation, which is gradually changing the landscape of optical imaging and biomedical research. However, current implementations of deep learning usually operate in a supervised manner, and their reliance on laborious and error-prone data annotation procedures remains a barrier to more general applicability. Here,we propose an unsupervised image transformation to facilitate the utilization of deep learning for optical microscopy, even in some cases in which supervised models cannot be applied.Through the introduction of a saliency constraint, the unsupervised model, named Unsupervised content-preserving Transformation for Optical Microscopy(UTOM);can learn the mapping between two image domains without requiring paired training data while avoiding distortions of the image content.UTOM shows promising performance in a wide range of biomedical image transformation tasks, including in silico histological staining, fluorescence image restoration, and virtual fluorescence labeling.Quantitative evaluations reveal that UTOM achieves stable and high-fidelity image transformations across different imaging conditions and modalities. We anticipate that our framework will encourage a paradigm shift in training neural networks and enable more applications of artificial intelligence in biomedical imaging.Xinyang Li Guoxun Zhang Hui Qiao Feng Bao Yue Deng Jiamin Wu Yangfan He Jingping Yun Xing Lin Hao Xie Haoqian Wang Qionghai Dai 2021Light(Science & Applications)2021,10,3:1
3Role of Stokes Drift in Ocean Dynamics Under Typhoon Conditions in the Bohai Sea显示文摘The effect of Stokes drift production(SDP),which includes Coriolis-Stokes forcing,Langmuir circulation, and Craik-Lei-bovich vortexes,on the upper ocean during typhoon passage in the Bohai Sea(BS),China,is investigated by using a coupled wave-current model. The role of SDP in turbulent mixing and the further dynamics during the entire typhoon period are comprehensively stud-ied.Experimental results show that SDP greatly increases turbulent mixing at all depths under typhoon conditions by up to seven times that under normal weather conditions.SDP generally strengthens sea surface cooling by more than 0.4℃,with the maximum reduction in sea surface temperature(SST)at the during-typhoon stage exceeding 2℃,which is approximately seven times larger than that under normal weather conditions. The SDP-induced decrease in current speed can exceed 0.2ms^(-1),and the change in current direction is generally opposite the wind direction. These results suggest that Stokes drift depresses the effect of strong winds on currents by intensifying turbulent mixing.Mixed layer depth(MLD)is distinctly increased by O(1)during typhoons due to SDP and can deepen by more than 5m.In addition, the continuous effects of SDP on SST,current, and MLD at the after-typhoon stage indi-cate a hysteretic response between SDP and typhoon actions.LI Haoqian WAN Kai WANG Menghan DENG Zeng’an CAO Yu 2024Journal of Ocean University of China2024,23,1:0
