1Cenozoic sedimentary records and geochronological constraints of differential uplift of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau显示文摘Geological mapping data (1:250000) in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and its adjacent regions reveal the sediment sequences, distribution and tectonic evolution of the 92 Tertiary remnant basins. Southern Tibet and the Yecheng area in Xinjiang, located at southern and northwestern margins of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, respectively, were parts of the Neo-Tethys remnant sea in the Paleogene. In southern Tibet, both the subabyssal and abyssal sequences occur at the Gyangze, Saga, Guoyala, and Sangmai areas. The deep-water facies successions outcrop in the west, whereas the shallow-water facies sequences in the east, indicating the east to the west retreat of the Neo-Tethys Ocean. The retreat of the Neo-Tethys Ocean in the east was contributed to the earlier tectonic uplift of the eastern Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. The uplift process of the Plateau from the Late Cretaceous to Pliocene is described as follows: During the Late Cretaceous, tectonic uplift of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau occurred in the northeastern part and the configuration of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau was characterized by rise in the northeast and depression in the west. In the Paleocene-Eocene interval, the Tengchong-Baingoin and Kuyake-Golmud areas experienced local tectonic uplifting, the West Kunlun uplift zone broadened easterly, the Qilian uplift zone broadened southerly, and the Songpan-Garzê uplift zone shrank easterly. The Oligocene configuration of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau was characterized by mountain chains rising along its margins and sedimentary basins in the central part because of tectonic uplifts of the Gangdisê and the Himalaya blocks. Meanwhile, the Kunlun-Altyn-Qilian uplift zones have also broadened southerly and northerly. In contrast, the great uplift zones of the Gangdisê, the Himalaya, the Karakorum, and the Kunlun blocks characterize the paleogeographic contours of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau during the Miocene-Pliocene. Additionally, the thermochronological data on tectonic uplift events in southern Tibet, West Kunlun Mountains, Altyn Tagh, eastern Tibet, and western Sichuan all suggest that the most intense deformation occurred at 13-8 Ma and since 5 Ma, respectively, corresponding to two great uplift periods in Neogene. As a result, turnover of paleogeographic configuration of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau occurred during the Neogene, experiencing a change from high contours in the east in the pre-Oligocene to high contours in the west at the end-Pliocene. 2Growth of Nanocrystalline Silicon Films by Helicon Wave Plasma Chemical Vapour Deposition显示文摘Nanocrystalline silicon (nc-Si) thin films have been prepared by a helicon-wave plasma chemical vapour deposition technique on glass-Si substrates. The structural properties and the surface morphology are characterized by Raman spectroscopy, x-ray diffraction and atomic force microscopy. It is proven that the deposited films have the features of high crystalline fraction and large grain size compared with that in the normal plasma-enhanced chemical vapour deposition regime. 3A novel fault section locating method based on distance matching degree in distribution network显示文摘Fault section location of a single-phase grounding fault is affected by the neutral grounding mode of the system, transition resistance, and the blind zone. A fault section locating method based on an amplitude feature and an intelligent distance algorithm is proposed to eliminate the influence of the above factors. By analyzing and comparing the amplitude characteristics of the zero-sequence current transient components at both ends of the healthy section and the faulty section, a distance algorithm with strong abnormal data immune capability is introduced in this paper. The matching degree of the amplitude characteristics at both ends of the feeder section are used as the criterion and by comparing with the set threshold, the faulty section is effectively determined. 4Detection of Lactobacillus acidophilus in Fermented Material by Real-time Fluorescent Quantitative PCR显示文摘The species distinctive PCR primer of Lactobacillus acidophilus( L. acidophilus) was designed according to 16 S rRNA gene sequences of common Lactobacillus species in fermented material. Bacterial genome DNA of separated L. acidophilus in fermented sample was taken as template,and L. acidophilus in fermented material was conducted the quantitative determination by real-time quantitative PCR( RT-PCR). Analysis on RT-PCR results shown that contents of L. acidophilus in the test sample reached 1. 5 billion CFU / g. 5Possible modulation of migrating diurnal tide by latitudinal gradient of zonal wind observed by SABER/TIMED显示文摘Temperature data from SABER/TIMED and Empirical Orthogonal Function(EOF) analysis are taken to examine possible modulations of the temperature migrating diurnal tide(DW1) by latitudinal gradients of zonal mean zonal wind(■). The result shows that z increases with altitudes and displays clearly seasonal and interannual variability. In the upper mesosphere and lower thermosphere(MLT), at the latitudes between 20°N and 20°S, when ■ strengthens(weakens) at equinoxes(solstices) the DW1 amplitude increases(decreases) simultaneously. Stronger maximum in March-April equinox occurs in both z and the DW1 amplitude. Besides, a quasi-biennial oscillation of DW1 is also found to be synchronous with ■. The resembling spatial-temporal features suggest that ■ in the upper tropic MLT probably plays an important role in modulating semiannual, annual, and quasi-biennial oscillations in DW1 at the same latitude and altitude. In addition, ■ in the mesosphere possibly affects the propagation of DW1 and produces SAO of DW1 in the lower thermosphere. 6Image recoloring using geodesic distance based color harmonization显示文摘In this paper, we present a computationally simple yet effective image recoloring method based on color harmonization. Our method permits the user to obtain recolored results interactively by rotating a harmonious template after completing color harmonization. Two main improvements are made in this paper. Firstly, we give a new strategy for finding the most harmonious scheme, in terms of finding the template which best matches the hue distribution of the input image. Secondly, in order to achieve spatially coherent harmonization, geodesic distances are used to move hues lying outside the harmonious sectors to inside them. Experiments show that our approach can produce higher-quality visually pleasing recolored images than existing methods. 7Rock Mass Characteristics in Beishan,A Preselected Area for China's High-Level Radioactive Waste Disposal显示文摘Geological and hydrological characteristics, joint geometric features, rock physical and mechanical properties and rock mass quality are studied in the Beishan area, preselected for China5 s high-level radioactive waste(HLW) disposal engineering. A comprehensive survey method is developed to study joint geometric features in the outcrop and samples from borehole BS06 into the Xinchang rock mass were tested. The optimal joint sets are determined by rose diagrams and equal-area lower hemisphere plots of joint poles. Results show that: 1) the distribution of joint occurrence obeys a normal distribution, while the distribution of joint spacing obeys a negative exponential distribution; 2) concentric circular and tangent circular sampling windows are applied to study the trace length and the trace midpoint density. Results indicate that tangent circular sampling window is more stable and reasonable; 3) Beishan granite shows high density, low porosity and high strength based on many laboratory tests and the physical properties and mechanical properties are closely related; and4) a synthesis index, Joint Structure Rating(JSR), is applied to evaluate the quality of rock mass. 9Bio-inspired water-driven electricity generators:From fundamental mechanisms to practical applications显示文摘Harvesting water energy in various forms of water motion,such as evaporation,raindrops,river flows,ocean waves,and other,is promising to relieve the global energy crisis and reach the aim of carbon neutrality.However,this highly decentralized and distributed water energy poses a challenge on conventional electromagnetic hydropower technologies that feature centralization and scalization.Recently,this problem has been gradually addressed by the emergence of a myriad of electricity generators that take inspiration from natural living organisms,which have the capability to efficiently process and manage water and energy for survival in the natural competition.Imitating the liquid-solid behaviors manifested in ubiquitous biological processes,these generators allow for the efficient energy conversion from water-solid interaction into the charge transfer or electrical output under natural driving,such as gravity and solar power.However,in spite of the rapid development of the field,a fundamental understanding of these generators and their ability to bridge the gap between the fundamentals and the practical applications remains elusive.In this review,we first introduce the latest progress in the fundamental understanding in bio-inspired electricity generators that allow for efficient harvesting water energy in various forms,ranging from water evaporation,droplet to wave or flow,and then summarize the development of the engineering design of the various bio-inspired electricity generator in the practical applications,including self-powered sensor and wearable electronics.Finally,the prospects and urgent problems,such as how to achieve large-scale electricity generation,are presented.Kaiqiang Wang Wanghuai Xu Wei Zhang Xiong Wang Xiao Yang Jianfeng Li Hanli Zhang Jinjin Li Zuankai Wang 2023Nano Research Energy2023,2,1:2
10An object detection method for bayberry trees based on an improved YOLO algorithm显示文摘To quickly detect and count the number of bayberry trees,this paper improves the YOLO-v4 model and proposes an optimal YOLO-v4 method for detecting bayberry trees based on UAV images.We used the Leaky_ReLU activation function to accelerate the model extraction speed and used the DIoU NMS to retain the most accurate prediction boxes.In order to increase the recall rate of the object detection and construct the optimal YOLO-v4 model,the K-Means clustering method was embedded into DIoU NMS.We trained the model using UAV images of bayberry trees,it was determined that the optimal YOLO-v4 model threshold was 0.25,which had the best extraction effect.The optimal YOLO-v4 model had a detection accuracy of up to 97.78%and a recall rate of up to 98.16%on the dataset.The optimal YOLO-v4 model was compared with YOLO-v4,YOLO-v4 tiny,the YOLO-v3 model,and the Faster R-CNN model.With guaranteed accuracy,the recall rate was higher,up to 97.45%,and the detection of bayberry trees was better in different contexts.The result shows that the optimal YOLO-v4 model can accurately achieve the rapid detection and statistics of the number of bayberry trees in large-area orchards.Youliang Chen Hanli Xu Xiangjun Zhang Peng Gao Zhigang Xu Xiaobin Huang 2023International Journal of Digital Earth2023,16,1:2
11Weathered Mantle Hosted Gold Deposit atShewushan, Hubei, Central China显示文摘A supergene gold deposit is located at Shewushan, south Hubei, Central China. The Au mass fraction of the supergene deposits ranges from 1.0.10-6 to 19.5 10-6, with an average of about 2.2 10-6. Primary gold mineralization is closely associated with the well developed faults and fractures mainly on the crest of the reverse anticline with gold mass fraction exceeding1.0 X 10-6(average 0.6 X 10-6 ), the gold occurs as small Ag-bearing particles in association with illite and kaolinite, and partly incorporated within the lattice of pyrite. Fluid inclusion studies on the gold mineralization yield trapping temperatures and pressures from 110 to 290 and 410 105 to 460 105 pa, respectively. The salinities of mineralization fluids range from 2. 6 % to 8. 4 % w(NaCl, equivalent). Calculated (18O) values and measured (D) data of the hypogene fluids indicate a meteoric origin. These fluids underwent extreme 18 O enrichment by reacting with country carbonate rock. Supergene gold minerali- zation is confined largely to the lower portion at the weathered mantle; the gold occurs as small native gold particles accompanied by clay minerals, kaolinite and illite and Mn and Fe oxides. Geochemical investigation shows that Au, together with As and Sb, decreases progressively from the top of ore body to some 2 kilometers away and define a lateral dispersion halo. 14Computer-aided identification of protein targets of four polyphenols in Alzheimer's disease(AD)and validation in a mouse AD model显示文摘Natural polyphenols are a large class of phytochemicals with neuroprotective effects. Four polyphenolic compounds: hesperidin, icariin, dihydromyricetin and baicalin were selected to evaluate their effects on Alzheimer's disease(AD). We analyzed by an inverse docking procedure(INVDOCK) the potential protein targets of these polyphenols within the KEGG AD pathway. Consequently, their therapeutic effects were evaluated and compared in a transgenic APP/PS1 mouse model of AD. These polyphenols were docked to several targets, including APP, BACE,PSEN, IDE, CASP, calpain and TNF-a, suggesting potential in vivo activities. Five month old transgenic mice were treated with these polyphenols. Icariin and hesperidin restored behavioral deficits and ameliorated Aβ deposits in both the cortex and hippocampus while baicalin and dihydromyricetin showed no substantial effects. 15Assessment of future climate change impacts on water-heat-salt migration in unsaturated frozen soil using CoupModel显示文摘The transport mechanisms of water,heat,and salt in unsaturated frozen soil,as well as its response to future climate change are in urgent need of study.In this study,western Jilin Province in north-eastern China was studied to produce a model of coupled water-heat-salt in unsaturated frozen soil using CoupModel.The water,heat,and salt dynamics of unsaturated frozen soil under three representative concentration pathway(RCP)scenarios were simulated to analyze the effects of future climate change on unsaturated frozen soil.The results show that water,heat,and salt migration are tightly coupled,and the soil salt concentration in the surface layer(10 cm)exhibits explosive growth after freezing and thawing.The future(2020–2099)meteorological factors in the study area were predicted using the Statistical Downscaling Model(SDSM).For RCP2.6,RCP4.5,and RCP8.5 scenarios,future temperatures during the freeze–thaw period increased by 2.68°C,3.18°C,and 4.28°C,respectively;precipitation increased by 30.28 mm,28.41 mm,and 32.17 mm,respectively;and evaporation increased by 93.57 mm,106.95 mm,and 130.57 mm,respectively.Climate change will shorten the freeze–thaw period,advance the soil melting time from April to March,and enhance water and salt transport.Compared to the baseline period(1961–2005),future soil salt concentrations at 10 cm increased by 1547.54 mg/L,1762.86 mg/L,and 1713.66 mg/L under RCP2.6,RCP4.5,and RCP8.5,respectively.The explosive salt accumulation is more obvious.Effective measures should be taken to prevent the salinization of unsaturated frozen soils and address climate change.Hanli Wan Jianmin Bian Han Zhang Yihan Li 2021Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2021,15,1:2
