1High-performance PVDF-HFP based gel polymer electrolyte with a safe solvent in Li metal polymer battery显示文摘Poly(vinylidenefluoride-co-hexafluoropropylene)(PVDF-HFP)based gel polymer electrolytes are widely studied owing to their electrochemical stability and high dielectric constant.However,most gel polymer electrolytes show unsatisfied safety and interface compatibility due to excessive absorption of volatile and flammable liquid solvents.Herein,by using a safe solvent(N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone)with higher boiling(203℃)and flash points(95℃),we initiatively fabricate a flexible PVDF-HFP based gel polymer electrolyte.The obtained gel polymer electrolyte demonstrates a high ionic conductivity of 7.24×10^−4 S cm−1,an electrochemical window of 5.2 V,and a high lithium transference number of 0.57.As a result,the synthesized polymer electrolyte exhibits a capacity retention of 70%after 500 cycles at 0.5 C,and a discharge capacity of 86 mAh g−1 even at a high current rate of 10 C for LiFePO4 based Li metal batteries.Moreover,a stable Li plating/stripping for more than 500 h is achieved under 0.1 mAh at both room temperature and 70℃.Our results indicate that the PVDF-HFP polymer electrolyte is promising for manufacturing safe and high-performance Li metal polymer batteries.Jing Jie Yulong Liu Lina Cong Bohao Zhang Wei Lu Xinming Zhang Jun Liu Haiming Xie Liqun Sun 2020Journal of Energy Chemistry2020,29,10:10
2Theoretical prediction,synthesis,and crystal structure determination of new MAX phase compound V2SnC显示文摘Guided by the theoretical prediction,a new MAX phase V2SnC was synthesized experimentally for the first time by reaction of V,Sn,and C mixtures at 1000°C.The chemical composition and crystal structure of this new compound were identified by the cross-check combination of first-principles calculations,X-ray diffraction(XRD),energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDS),and high resolution scanning transmission electron microscopy(HR-STEM).The stacking sequence of V2C and Sn layers results in a crystal structure of space group P63/mmc.The a-and c-lattice parameters,which were determined by the Rietveld analysis of powder XRD pattern,are 0.2981(0)nm and 1.3470(6)nm,respectively.The atomic positions are V at 4f(1/3,2/3,0.0776(5)),Sn at 2d(2/3,1/3,1/4),and C at 2a(0,0,0).A new set of XRD data of V2SnC was also obtained.Theoretical calculations suggest that this new compound is stable with negative formation energy and formation enthalpy,satisfied Born-Huang criteria of mechanical stability,and positive phonon branches over the Brillouin zone.It also has low shear deformation resistance c44(second-order elastic constant,cij)and shear modulus(G),positive Cauchy pressure,and low Pugh’s ratio(G/B=0.500<0.571),which is regarded as a quasi-ductile MAX phase.The mechanism underpinning the quasi-ductility is associated with the presence of a metallic bond.Qiang Xu Yanchun Zhou Haiming Zhang Anna Jiang Quanzheng Tao Jun Lu Johanna Rosén Yunhui Niu Salvatore Grasso Chunfeng Hu 2020Journal of Advanced Ceramics2020,9,4:8
3Cartilage-targeting peptide-modified dual-drug delivery nanoplatform with NIR laser response for osteoarthritis therapy显示文摘Cartilage-targeting delivery of therapeutic agents is still an effective strategy for osteoarthritis(OA)therapy.Recently,scavenging for reactive oxygen species(ROS)and activating autophagy have been increasingly reported to treat OA effectively.In this study,we designed,for the first time,a dual-drug delivery system based on metal organic framework(MOF)-decorated mesoporous polydopamine(MPDA)which composed of rapamycin(Rap)loaded into the mesopores and bilirubin(Br)loaded onto the shell of MOF.The collagen II-targeting peptide(WYRGRL)was then conjugated on the surface of above nanocarrier to develop a cartilage-targeting dual-drug delivery nanoplatform(RB@MPMW).Our results indicated the sequential release of two agents from RB@MPMW could be achieved via near-infrared(NIR)laser irritation.Briefly,the rapid release of Br from the MOF shell exhibited excellent ROS scavenging ability and anti-apoptosis effects,however responsively reduced autophagy activity,to a certain extent.Meanwhile,following the NIR irradiation,Rap was rapidly released from MPDA core and further enhanced autophagy activation and chondrocyte protection.RB@MPMW continuously phosphorylated AMPK and further rescued mitochondrial energy metabolism of chondrocytes following IL-1βstimulation via activating SIRT1-PGC-1αsignaling pathway.Additionally,the cartilage-targeting property of peptide-modified nanocarrier could be monitored via Magnetic Resonance(MR)and IVIS imaging.More significantly,RB@MPMW effectively delayed cartilage degeneration in ACLT rat model.Overall,our findings indicated that the as-prepared dual-drug delivery nanoplatform exerted potent anti-inflammation and anti-apoptotic effects,rescued energy metabolism of chondrocytes in vitro and prevented cartilage degeneration in vivo,which thereby showed positive performance for OA therapy.Song Xue Xiaojun Zhou Weilin Sang Cong Wang Haiming Lu Yiming Xu Yiming Zhong Libo Zhu Chuanglong He Jinzhong Ma 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,8:5
4Serum osmolality and ions,and gill Na^(+)/K^(+)-ATPase of spottedtail goby Synechogobius ommaturus(R.)in response to acute salinity changes显示文摘This study was carried out to determine the effects of abrupt salinity change on osmoregulatory ability of the spottedtail goby Synechogobius ommaturus.720 juvenile fish(65.3±11.8 g)were transferred to 200 L tanks(with 40 juveniles in each tank),in which salinities were abruptly changed from 10 to 20,30,40,50 and freshwater.Survival rate,serum osmolality,electrolytes(Na^(+),Cl^(-),and K^(+))and gill Na^(+)/K^(+)-ATPase(NKA)activity were assessed successively in 528 h.Results showed serum osmolality,ion concentrations and gill Na^(+)/K^(+)-ATPase activity increased significantly when fish were transferred to salinity 40 and 50 and all fish in these groups died by the end of the experiment.Serum osmolality,Na^(+),Cl^(-)and K^(+)in fish transferred to a salinity of 20,30 and freshwater were not affected and no mortality was detected.Compared with the control group,a significantly decrease of NKA activity happened in the freshwater group,but the activity in 20 and 30 groups was not affected significantly.The results indicated that S.ommaturus could adapt rapidly and maintain homeostasis in a wide range of salinities(from freshwater to salinity 30)and this species may be suitable for aquaculture in estuarine and coastal areas where rapid salinity fluctuations commonly occur.Chun Shui Yonghai Shi Xueming Hua Zhonghua Zhang Haiming Zhang Genhai Lu Yongde Xie 2018Aquaculture and Fisheries2018,3,2:4
5Spatial distribution of IL4 controls iNKT cell-DC crosstalk in tumors显示文摘The spatiotemporal distribution of cytokines orchestrates immune responses in vivo,yet the underlying mechanisms remain to be explored.We showed here that the spatial distribution of interleukin-4(IL4)in invariant natural killer T(iNKT)cells regulated crosstalk between iNKT cells and dendritic cells(DCs)and controlled iNKT cell-mediated T-helper type 1(Th1)responses.The persistent polarization of IL4 induced by strong lipid antigens,that is,α-galactosylceramide(αGC),caused IL4 accumulation at the immunological synapse(IS),which promoted the activation of the IL4R-STAT6(signal transducer and activator of transcription 6)pathway and production of IL12 in DCs,which enhanced interferon-γ(IFNγ)production in iNKT cells.Conversely,the nonpolarized secretion of IL4 induced by Th2 lipid antigens with a short or unsaturated chain was incapable of enhancing this iNKT cell-DC crosstalk and thus shifted the immune response to a Th2-type response.The nonpolarized secretion of IL4 in response to Th2 lipid antigens was caused by the degradation of Cdc42 in iNKT cells.Moreover,reduced Cdc42 expression was observed in tumorinfiltrating iNKT cells,which impaired IL4 polarization and disturbed iNKT cell-DC crosstalk in tumors.Lu Wang Zhilan Liu Lili Wang Qielan Wu Xiang Li Di Xie Huimin Zhang Yongdeng Zhang Lusheng Gu Yanhong Xue Ting Yue Gang Liu Wei Ji Haiming Wei Tao Xu Li Bai 2020Cellular & Molecular Immunology2020,17,5:4
6Maize WI5 encodes an endo-1,4-β-xylanase required for secondary cell wall synthesis and water transport in xylem显示文摘Water transport from roots to leaves through xylem is important for plant growth and development.Defects in water transport can cause drought stress,even when there is adequate water in the soil.Here,we identi-fied the maize(Zea mays)wilty5(wi5)mutant,which ex-hibits marked dwarfing and leaf wilting throughout most of its life cycle under normal growth conditions.wilty5 seed-lings exhibited lower xylem conductivity and wilted more rapidly under drought,NaCl,and high temperature treat-ments than wild-type plants.Map-based cloning revealed that WI5 encodes an active endo-1,4-β-xylanase from gly-cosyl dehydration family 10,which mainly functions in degrading and reorganizing cell wall xylan.Reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction andβ-glucuronidase assays revealed that WI5 is highly expressed in stems,especially in internodes undergoing secondary wall as-sembly.RNA sequencing suggested that WI5 plays a unique role in internode growth.Immunohistochemistry and electron microscopy confirmed that wi5 is defective in xylan deposition and secondary cell wall thickening.Lignin deposition and xylan content were markedly re-duced in wi5 compared to the wild-type plants.Our results suggest that WI5 functions in xylem cell wall thickening through its xylanase activity and thereby regulates xylem water transport,the drought stress response,and plant growth in maize.Xiaojiao Hu Yang Cui Xiaomin Lu Weibin Song Lei Lei Jinjie Zhu Jinsheng Lai Lizhu E Haiming Zhao 2020Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2020,62,10:3
7Shallow groundwater nitrogen responses to different land use managements in the riparian zone of Yuqiao Reservoir in North China显示文摘This field study investigated the nitrogen concentrations in the shallow groundwater from an ephemeral stream and four land uses: cropland, two-year restored (2yr) and five-years restored (5yr) woodlands, fishponds, and the nitrogen flux in the riparian zone of Yuqiao Reservoir. The groundwater nitrate-N concentrations in cropland were the highest among the four land uses. Total dissolved nitrogen (TDN) and nitrate-N concentrations in the 2yr woodland were significantly (p < 0.05) higher than in 5yr woodland. The lowest nitrogen concentrations were detected in fishponds. Nitrate-N was the main form in cropland and 2yr woodland, whereas both nitrate-N and dissolved organic nitrogen (DON) were the main species in 5yr woodland and fishponds. But, ammonium-N was the main form in the ephemeral stream. During the rainy season, the groundwater flow with dissolved nitrogen drains from upland into the reservoir along the hydraulic gradient. The woodland between the cropland and reservoir could act as a buffer to retain shallow groundwater nitrogen. The dominant form of ammonium-N in the groundwater TDN pool in ephemeral stream indicated that nitrogen from the village and orchard in upland flowed into the reservoir via subsurface flow. 9Validation of different personalized risk models of chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting:results of a randomized,double-blind,phase III trial of fosaprepitant for cancer patients treated with high-dose cisplatin显示文摘Background:Highly emetogenic chemotherapy induces emesis in cancer patients without prophylaxis.The purpose of this study was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of a fosaprepitant-based triple antiemetic regimen for the prevention of chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting(CINV)in patients with solid malignant tumors,determine risk factors and externally validate different personalized risk models for CINV.Methods:This phase III trial was designed to test the non-inferiority of fosaprepitant toward aprepitant in cancer patients who were to receive the first cycle of single-day cisplatin chemotherapy.The primary endpoint was complete response(CR)during the overall phase(OP)with a non-inferiority margin of 10.0%.Logistic regression modelswere used to assess the risk factors ofCRand no nausea.To validate the personalized risk models,the accuracy of the risk scoring systems was determined by measuring the specificity,sensitivity and area under the receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve(AUC),while the predictive accuracy of the nomogram was measured using concordance index(C-index).Results:A total of 720 patients were randomly assigned.CR during the OP in the fosaprepitant group was not inferior to that in the aprepitant group(78.1%vs.77.7%,P=0.765)with a between-group difference of 0.4%(95%CI,-5.7%to 6.6%).Female sex,higher cisplatin dose(≥70 mg/m2),no history of drinking and larger body surface area(BSA)were significantly associated with nausea.The AUC for the acute and delayed CINV risk indexes was 0.68(95%CI:0.66-0.71)and 0.66(95%CI:0.61-0.70),respectively,and the C-index for nomogram CINV prediction was 0.59(95%CI,0.54-0.64).Using appropriate cutoff points,the three models could stratify patients with high-or low-risk CINV.No nausea and CR rate were significantly higher in the low-risk group than in the high-risk group(P<0.001).Conclusions:Fosaprepitant-based triple prophylaxis demonstrated non-inferior control for preventing CINV in patients treated with cisplatin-base chemotherapy.Female cancer patients without a history of alcohol consumption,with larger BSA and received high-dose cisplatin might be more vulnerable to CINV.Three personalized prediction models were well-validated and could be used to optimize antiemetic therapy for individual patients.Yuanyuan Zhao Bing Zhao Gang Chen Yinlan Chen Zijun Liao Haiming Zhang Weineng Feng Yinyin Li Heng Weng Weidong Li Yuefen Zhou Biyong Ren Yanda Lu Jianhua Chen Zhenteng Liu Zhenzhong Su Wenliang Wang Li Zhang 2023Cancer Communications2023,43,2:2
10Analysis of uterine CD49a^(+) NK cell subsets in menstrual blood reflects endometrial status and association with recurrent spontaneous abortion显示文摘Maternal uterine immune cells,especially natural killer(NK)cells,are important for successful pregnancy,and an abnormal number or function of uterine NK cells is closely correlated with an impaired endometrial environment and miscarriage.However,there are currently no noninvasive testing methods using reliable indicators that accurately predict uterine changes leading to miscarriage.Here,we confirmed that before implantation,menstrual blood(MB)from healthy donors had 70%CD49a^(+)tissue-resident NK(trNK)cells,the majority of which were CD49a^(+)Eomes+NK cells.Importantly,MB from patients with recurrent spontaneous abortion(RSA)had many fewer CD49a^(+)trNK cells than MB from controls.Analysis of uNK cell populations in MB may better predict an abnormal endometrial environment associated with miscarriage than peripheral blood(PB)analysis.Therefore,we suggest using MB-and CD49a-related markers as a promising noninvasive way to evaluate endometrial status.Xianhong Tong Min Gao Xianghui Du Fangting Lu Limin Wu Haiming Wei Binqing Fu 2021Cellular & Molecular Immunology2021,18,7:2
11HBsAg-specific CD8^(+)T cells as an indispensable trigger to induce murine hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘Hepatitis B virus(HBV)-associated hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is mediated by an inappropriate attack by HBV-specific T cells in patients.However,this immunopathogenic process has not been clarified because of the lack of a suitable animal model.Here,we used immunocompetent Fah^(-/-)mice as the recipients in the adoptive transfer of HBsAg^(+)hepatocytes from HBs-Tg mice to replace the recipient hepatocytes(HBs-HepR).HBs-HepR mice exhitited persistent HBsAg expression with chronic hepatitis and eventually developed HCC with a prevalence of 100%.HBsAg-specific CD8^(+)T cells were generated and specifically and continuously induced hepatocyte apoptosis with progressive chronic inflammation,and the depletion of CD8^(+)T cells or their deficiency prevented HCC,which could then be reproduced by the transfer of HBsAg-specific CD8^(+)T cells.In summary,our results demonstrated that CD8^(+)T cells plays a critical role in HBsAg-driven inflammtion and HCC tumorigenesis.Xiaolei Hao Yongyan Chen Lu Bai Haiming Wei Rui Sun Zhigang Tian 2021Cellular & Molecular Immunology2021,18,1:2

18Anchoring polysulfide with artificial solid electrolyte interphase for dendrite-free and low N/P ratio Li-S batteries显示文摘Lithium sulfur batteries are regarded as a promising candidate for high-energy-density energy storage devices.However,the lithium metal anode in lithium-sulfur batteries encounters the problem of lithium dendrites and lithium metal consumption caused by polysulfide corrosion.Herein we design a dualfunction PMMA/PPC/LiNO3composite as an artificial solid electrolyte interphase(PMCN-SEI)to protect Li metal anode.This SEI offers multiple sites of C=O for polysulfide anchoring to constrain corrosion of Li metal anode.The lithiated polymer group and Li3N in PMCN-SEI can homogenize lithium-ion deposition behavior to achieve a dendrite-free anode.As a result,the PMCN-SEI protected Li metal anode enables the Li||Li symmetric batteries to maintain over 300 cycles(1300 h)at a capacity of 5 m Ah cm^(-2),corresponding to a cumulative capacity of 3.25 Ah cm^(-2).Moreover,Li-S batteries assembled with 20μm of Li metal anode(N/P=1.67)still deliver an initial capacity of 1166 m A h g-1at 0.5C.Hence,introducing polycarbonate polymer/inorganic composite SEI on Li provides a new solution for achieving the high energy density of Li-S batteries.Wei Lu Zhao Wang Guiru Sun Shumin Zhang Lina Cong Lin Lin Siru Chen Jia Liu Haiming Xie Yulong Liu 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,5:1

20Enhancement of MoTe2 near-infrared absorption with gold hollow nanorods for photodetection显示文摘Infrared(IR)light photodetection based on two dimensional(2D)materials of proper bandgap has attracted increasing attention.However,the weak IR absorption in 2D materials,due to their ultrathin attribute and indirect bandgap in multilayer structures,degrades their performance when used as IR photodetectors.In this work,we utilize the fact that few-layer MoTe2 flake has a near-IR(NIR)bandgap and demonstrate a^60-fold enhancement of NIR response by introducing a gold hollow nanorods on the surface.Such gold hollow nanorods have distinct absorption peak located also at the NIR regime,therefore induces strong resonance,benefitting NIR absorption in MoTe2,resulting in strong near-field enhancement.With the evidence from steady and transient state optical spectra,we confirm that the enhancement of NIR response originates only photon absorption,rather than electron transport at interfaces as observed in other heterostructures,therefore,precluding the requirement of high-quality interfaces for commercial applications.Jiawen You Ye Yu Kai Cai Dongming Zhou Haiming Zhu Renyan Wang Qingfu Zhang Hongwei Liu Yuting Cai Dong Lu Jang-Kyo Kim Lin Gan Tianyou Zhai Zhengtang Luo 2020Nano Research2020,13,6:1
