2Current status and future strategies of cytoreductive surgery plus intraperitoneal hyperthermic chemotherapy for peritoneal carcinomatosis显示文摘This article is to offer a concise review on the use of cytoreductive surgery (CRS) plus intraperitoneal hyperthermic chemotherapy (IPHC) for the treatment of peritoneal carcinomatosis (PC). Traditionally, PC was treated with systemic chemotherapy alone with very poor response and a median survival of less than 6 mo. With the establishment of several phase Ⅱ studies, a new trend has been developed toward the use of CRS plus IPHC as a standard method for treating selected patients with PC, in whom sufficient cytoreduction could be achieved. In spite of the need for more high quality phase Ⅲ studies, there is now a consensus among many surgical oncology experts throughout the world about the use of this new treatment strategy as standard care for colorectal cancer patients with PC. 4Modeling the effects of constructed wetland on nonpoint source pollution control and reservoir water quality improvement显示文摘This article describes the integrated modeling approach for planning the size and the operation of constructed wetlands for maximizing retention of nonpoint source pollutant loads and reservoir water-quality improvement at a catchment scale.The experimental field-scale wetland systems (four sets,0.88 ha each) have been in operation since 2002,where water depth was maintained at 30–50 cm and hydraulic loading rate was at 6.3–18.8 cm/day.The wetland system was found to be adequate for treating polluted stream water with stable removal efficiency even during the winter.The integrated modeling system (modified-BASINS) was applied to the Seokmoon estuarine reservoir watershed and calibrated with monitoring data from constructed wetland,stream,and reservoir.The calibrated integrated modeling system estimated that constructing wetlands on 0.5% (about 114 ha) of the watershed area at the mouth of reservoir could reduce 11.61% and 13.49% of total external nitrogen and phosphorus loads,respectively.It also might improve the nitrogen and phosphorus concentration of the reservoir by 9.69% and 16.48%,respectively.The study suggested that about 0.1%–1.0% of the watershed area should be allocated for constructed wetland to meet specified water-quality standards for the estuarine reservoir at the polder area where land use planning is relatively less complicated.Jonghwa Ham Chun G.Yoon Hyung-Joong Kim Hyung-Chul Kim 2010Journal of Environmental Sciences2010,22,6:7

6Role of E3 ubiquitin ligases in lung cancer显示文摘E3 ubiquitin ligases are a large family of proteins that catalyze the ubiquitination of many protein substrates for targeted degradation by the 26S proteasome.Therefore,E3 ubiquitin ligases play an essential role in a variety of biological processes including cell cycle regulation,proliferation and apoptosis.E3 ubiquitin ligases are often found overexpressed in human cancers,including lung cancer,and their deregulation has been shown to contribute to cancer development.However,the lack of specific inhibitors in clinical trials is a major issue in targeting E3 ubiquitin ligases with currently only one E3 ubiquitin ligase inhibitor being tested in the clinical setting.In this review,we focus on E3 ubiquitin ligases that have been found deregulated in lung cancer.Furthermore,we discuss the processes in which they are involved and evaluate them as potential anti-cancer targets.By better understanding the mechanisms by which E3 ubiquitin ligases regulate biological processes and their exact role in carcinogenesis,we can improve the development of specific E3 ubiquitin ligase inhibitors and pave the way for novel treatment strategies for cancer patients.Barbara C Snoek Leonie HAM de Wilt Gerrit Jansen Godefridus J Peters 2013World Journal of Clinical Oncology2013,4,3:5

8Critical cooling rate on carbide precipitation during quenching of austenitic manganese steel显示文摘Critical cooling rate to avoid carbide precipitation during quenching of austenitic manganese steel was investigated by means of optical microscopy,image analyzer and numerical analysis.An efficient heat treatment analysis program including temperature-dependent material properties was developed for the prediction of cooling rate and probability of carbide precipitation during quenching by finite difference method.Time-dependent heat transfer coefficient was adopted to achieve more precise results.Area ratio of carbide precipitation was measured by image analyzer to determine the critical point of carbide precipitation.Temperature-dependent critical cooling rate at that point was calculated by the developed numerical program.Finally,the probability of carbide precipitation on the whole area of specimen can be predicted by the proposed numerical program and the numerical result of a specimen was compared with the experimental result.Youn-Soo Ham Jeong-Tae Kim Si-Young Kwak Jeong-Kil Choi Woo-Young Yoon 2010China Foundry2010,7,2:4
9Embedded software and hardware implementation system for a human machine interface based on ISOAgLib显示文摘Modern agricultural machinery demands adoption of embedded electronic and remote sensing technology for precision agriculture.One of the electronic devices commonly used is the virtual terminal(VT) for tractors.A VT's functions and terminology are described in the ISO 11783 standard.This paper presents a control system design and implementation for a VT and some other electronic control units(ECUs) for agricultural vehicles based on that standard.Hardware and software development for the VT is implemented using the ISOAgLib open library,in the advanced embedded system.The main part of the system is an embedded board based on a Samsung S3C6410 ARM11 core microprocessor with a controller area network(CAN) module.Its working environment is Windows Embedded CE 6.0(WinCE6.0).The ISOAgLib library provides abundant open sources consistent implementation of ISO 11783.It is written in C++ programming language using object-oriented technology.In this paper,we describe an ISO 11783-based tractor control system with a CAN and its implementation in the embedded system.This paper also explains the operation of a CAN-bus device driver in WinCE6.0 and some modifications of ISOAgLib for our target system.The target system consists of the VT,an ECU for the global positioning system(GPS),and an ECU for lighting for an agricultural tractor.The ECU for GPS and the ECU of a light controller are implemented using STM32F107F ARM Cortex M3-based development boards.Enkhbaatar TUMENJARGAL Luubaatar BADARCH Hyeokjae KWON Woonchul HAM 2013Journal of Zhejiang University-Science C(Computers and Electronics)2013,14,3:4

11Investigation of cell mechanics using single-beam acoustic tweezers as a versatile tool for the diagnosis and treatment of highly invasive breast cancer cell lines: an in vitro study显示文摘Advancements in diagnostic systems for metastatic cancer over the last few decades have played a significant role in providing patients with effective treatment by evaluating the characteristics of cancer cells.Despite the progress made in cancer prognosis,we still rely on the visual analysis of tissues or cells from histopathologists,where the subjectivity of traditional manual interpretation persists.This paper presents the development of a dual diagnosis and treatment tool using an in vitro acoustic tweezers platform with a 50MHz ultrasonic transducer for label-free trapping and bursting of human breast cancer cells.For cancer cell detection and classification,the mechanical properties of a single cancer cell were quantified by single-beam acoustic tweezers(SBAT),a noncontact assessment tool using a focused acoustic beam.Cell-mimicking phantoms and agarose hydrogel spheres(AHSs)served to standardize the biomechanical characteristics of the cells.Based on the analytical comparison of deformability levels between the cells and the AHSs,the mechanical properties of the cells could be indirectly measured by interpolating the Young’s moduli of the AHSs.As a result,the calculated Young’s moduli,i.e.,1.527kPa for MDA-MB-231(highly invasive breast cancer cells),2.650kPa for MCF-7(weakly invasive breast cancer cells),and 2.772 kPa for SKBR-3(weakly invasive breast cancer cells),indicate that highly invasive cancer cells exhibited a lower Young’s moduli than weakly invasive cells,which indicates a higher deformability of highly invasive cancer cells,leading to a higher metastasis rate.Single-cell treatment may also be carried out by bursting a highly invasive cell with high-intensity,focused ultrasound.Hae Gyun Lim Hsiao-Chuan Liu Chi Woo Yoon Hayong Jung Min Gon Kim Changhan Yoon Hyung Ham Kim KKirk Shung 2020Microsystems & Nanoengineering2020,6,1:3

13Blast-induced ground vibration prediction in granite quarries:An application of gene expression programming,ANFIS,and sine cosine algorithm optimized ANN显示文摘Blasting of rocks has intrinsic environmental impacts such as ground vibration,which can interfere with the safety of lives and property.Hence,accurate prediction of the environmental impacts of blasting is imperative as the empirical models are not accurate as evident in the literature.Therefore,there is need to consider some robust predictive models for accurate prediction results.Gene expression programming(GEP),adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system(ANFIS),and sine cosine algorithm optimized artificial neural network(SCA-ANN)models are proposed for predicting the blast-initiated ground vibration in five granite quarries.The input parameters into the models are the distance from the point of blasting to the point of measurement(D),the weight of charge per delay(W),rock density(q),and the Schmidt rebound hardness(SRH)value while peak particle velocity(PPV)is the targeted output.100 datasets were used in developing the proposed models.The performance of the proposed models was examined using the coefficient of determination(R2)and error analysis.The R2 values obtained for the GEP,ANFIS,and SCA-ANN models are 0.989,0.997,and 0.999,respectively,while their errors are close to zero.The proposed models are compared with an empirical model and are found to outperform the empirical model.Abiodun Ismail Lawal Sangki Kwon Olaide Sakiru Hammed Musa Adebayo Idris 2021International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2021,31,2:3

20浅液深和挡板影响下遭受横摇激励的晃荡问题数值研究显示文摘Sloshing is relevant in several applications like ship tanks,space and automotive industry and seiching in harbours.Due to the relationship between ship and sloshing motions and possibility of structural damage,it is important to represent this phenomenon accurately.This paper investigates sloshing at shallow liquid depths in a rectangular container using experiments and RANS simulations.Free and forced sloshing,with and without baffles,are studied at frequencies chosen specifically in proximity to the first mode natural frequency.The numerically calculated free surface elevation is in close agreement with observations from experiments.The upper limit of the resonance zone,sloshing under different filling depths and roll amplitudes and sloshing with one,two and four baffles are also investigated.The results show that the extent of the resonance zone is reduced for higher filling depth and roll amplitude.It is also found that the inclusion of baffles moves the frequency at which the maximum free surface elevation occurs,away from the fundamental frequency.Finally,a submerged baffle is found to dissipate more energy compared to a surface piercing baffle and that the effect of several submerged baffles is similar to that of a single submerged baffle.Arm Kamath Erlend Linvdée Grotle Hams Bits 2021Journal of Marine Science and Application2021,20,2:2
