1CMTM4 inhibits cell proliferation and migration via AKT, ERK1/2,and STAT3 pathway in colorectal cancer显示文摘CMTM4(CKLF-like MARVEL transmembrane domain containing 4),a potential tumor suppressor gene,is involved in several types of malignancies.It has been reported to be downregulated and exhibit anti-tumorigenic activities by regulating cell growth and cell cycle in clear cell renal cell carcinoma.It has also been identified as a tumor suppressor in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC),and its negative expression is a risk factor for poor prognosis of HCC patients.In the present study,an integrated bioinformatics analysis based on The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA)database showed that CMTM4 was frequently reduced in colorectal cancer(CRC)and high expression of CMTM4 was associated with increased overall survival rates.Based on these findings,we adopted gain-of-function and lost-of-function strategies using SW480 and HT29 CRC cell lines which have relatively low and high endogenous CMTM4 levels,respectively.We observed impeded cell proliferation and migration upon overexpression of CMTM4 in SW480 cells,and the opposite effects were observed upon knockdown of CMTM4 in HT-29 cells.Cell signaling pathways essential for CRC progression were then examined,and the phosphorylation levels of AKT,ERK1/2,and STAT3 were found to be decreased by CMTM4 overexpression in SW480 cells and elevated by CMTM4 silencing in HT29 cells.Their inhibitors were used to validate that the three signaling pathways contributed to the inhibitory effects of CMTM4 on CRC cells.Taken together,our results suggest that CMTM4 plays a tumor suppressive role in CRC.Hui Xue Ting Li Pingzhang Wang Xiaoning Mo Hejun Zhang Shigang Ding Dalong Ma Wenping Lv Jing Zhang Wenling Han 2019Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2019,51,9:5

6Optimization of the Swept Volume Ratio between the Compressor and the Active Displacer in an Efficient 20 K Thermal-Coupled Two-Stage Pulse Tube Cryocooler显示文摘As an important component of the stirling-type pulse tube cryocooler(SPTC),an efficient phase shifter can significantly improve the cooling capacity.Compared to the common phase shifter,the active warm displacer(AWD)has a wider phase adjustment range and therefore can obtain a better phase relationship easily.Based on a two-stage thermal-coupled SPTC operating in the 20 K range,this paper studied the influence of the swept volume ratio between the compressor and displacer.The research found that the swept volume ratio changes the cooling capacity and efficiency of the cryocooler mainly by changing the phase difference between the pressure wave and the volume flow at the cold end.It was found from the results of the simulation and experiments that there is an optimal displacement of the displacer(Xd)of 2.5 mm and an optimal phase angle of 15°to obtain the highest cooling efficiency while the displacement of the compressor is constant.The cooling capacity at 20 K is 1.3 W while the input electrical power of the second stage compressor is 202 W,which indicates an overall relative Carnot efficiency(rCOP)of 0.055 in terms of input electrical power.In addition,due to the reasonable setting of precooling temperature and capacity,the swept volume ratio and phase at the maximum cooling capacity and maximum efficiency are consistent in this study.The research improves the understanding of phase shifters and has guiding significance for the optimization of the SPTC working below 20 K.YIN Wang LIU Shaoshuai SONG Jiantang WU Wenting HUI Hejun JIANG Zhenhua LI Nanxi ZHU Haifeng WU Yinong 2023Journal of Thermal Science2023,32,6:0
7(Hf_(0.5)Ta_(0.5))C ultra-high temperature ceramic solid solution nanowires显示文摘Ultra-high temperature ceramic(UHTC)nanowires are potential reinforcement materials due to it combines the perfect properties of bulk materials and unique geometric properties of one-dimensional(1D)nanostructures.Thus,developing 1D nanomaterials that have excellent morphology and structure retention in ultra-high temperature environments is of prime importance to bring their outstanding performance into full play.Herein,we report the novel solid solution((Hf_(0.5)Ta_(0.5))C)ceramic nanowires,which could not only maintain morphological and structural stability at 1900°C but also exhibit 1D nanostructures under oxyacetylene scouring and ablation at 2300°C.The morphology evolution of nanowires obeys the Rayleigh instability mechanism,and the internal structure and element distribution of nanowires remain unchanged even if the surface atoms are rearranged.The fascinating nanowires are demonstrated to have great potential as ideal reinforcement materials of composite materials and toughening phases of ceramics that are applied in ultra-high temperature environments,as well as excellent performance enhancement phases of functional materials.Our work may provide new insights into the development of ceramic nanowires and widen their applications.Hui Chen Yulei Zhang Yanqin Fu Jiachen Meng Qing Miao Jianhua Zhang Hejun Li 2023Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,16:0
