1Reaction mode between Si and Fe and evaluation of optimal species in poly-silicic-ferric coagulant显示文摘A kind of Fe-polysilicate polymer,poly-silicic-ferric(PSF)coagulant was prepared by co-polymerization(hydroxylation of mixtureof Fe3+and fresh polysilicic acid(PS)),in which PSF0.5,PSF1 or PSF3 denotes Si/Fe molar ratio of 0.5,1 or 3,respectively.Theeffects of Si/Fe ratio and reaction time(co-polymerization time or aging time)on the reaction mode between Si and Fe were studies,and the optimal species of PSF was evaluated by pH change during the preparation of PSF and coagulation tests.The results showedthat the characteristics of PSF are largely affected by both reaction time and Si/Fe ratio.PSF is found to be a essential complex of Si,Fe,and many other ions.The reaction mode between Si and Fe differs with various Si/Fe ratios.The pH of PSF0.5,PSF1 or PSF3tended to be stable when reaction time is 10,25 or 55 min,respectively,which is almost consistent with the time reaching the relativestable morphology that is just the optimal species of higher coagulation effciency.The optimal reaction time reaching optimal speciescan be evaluated by measuring the pH change during the polymerization process.FU Ying YU Shui-li YU Yan-zhen QIU Li-ping HUI Ban 2007Journal of Environmental Sciences2007,19,6:24
2Effect of Dark Septate Endophytic Fungus Gaeumannomyces cylindrosporus on Plant Growth, Photosynthesis and Pb Tolerance of Maize (Zea mays L.)显示文摘Dark septate endophytic(DSE) fungi are ubiquitous and cosmopolitan, and occur widely in association with plants in heavy metal stress environment. However, little is known about the effect of inoculation with DSE fungi on the host plant under heavy metal stress.In this study, Gaeumannomyces cylindrosporus, which was isolated from Pb-Zn mine tailings in China and had been proven to have high Pb tolerance, was inoculated onto the roots of maize(Zea mays L.) seedlings to study the effect of DSE on plant growth, photosynthesis,and the translocation and accumulation of Pb in plant under stress of different Pb concentrations. The growth indicators(height, basal diameter, root length, and biomass) of maize were detected. Chlorophyll content, photosynthetic characteristics(net photosynthetic rate, transpiration rate, stomatal conductance, and intercellular CO_2 concentration), and chlorophyll fluorescence parameters in leaves of the inoculated and non-inoculated maize were also determined. Inoculation with G. cylindrosporus significantly increased height,basal diameter, root length, and biomass of maize seedlings under Pb stress. Colonization of G. cylindrosporus improved the efficiency of photosynthesis and altered the translocation and accumulation of Pb in the plants. Although inoculation with G. cylindrosporus increased Pb accumulation in host plants in comparison to non-inoculated plants, the translocation factor of Pb in plant body was significantly decreased. The results indicated that Pb was accumulated mainly in the root system of maize and the phytotoxicity of Pb to the aerial part of the plant was alleviated. 3Ursolic acid: An overview on its cytotoxic activities against breast and colorectal cancer cells显示文摘Ursolic acid(UA) is a pentacyclic triterpene of the ursane type. As a common chemical constituent among species of the family Lamiaceae, UA possesses a broad spectrum of pharmacological properties. This overview focuses on the anticancer properties of UA against breast cancer(BC) and colorectal cancer(CRC)that are most common among women and men, respectively. In vitro studies have shown that UA inhibited the growth of BC and CRC cell lines through various molecular targets and signaling pathways.There are several in vivo studies on the cytotoxic activity of UA against BC and CRC. UA also inhibits the growth of other types of cancer. Studies on structural modifications of UA have shown that the –OH groups at C3 and at C28 are critical factors influencing the cytotoxic activity of UA and its derivatives.Some needs for future research are suggested. 6Directional Growth of Tin Crystals Controlled by Combined Solute Concentration Gradient Field and Static Magnetic Field显示文摘A new method was introduced to achieve directional growth of Sn crystals. Microstructures in liquid(Pb)/liquid(Sn) diffusion couples were investigated under various static magnetic fields. Results show that the β-Sn crystals mainly reveal an irregular dendritic morphology without or with a relatively low static magnetic field(B0.3 T). When the magnetic field is increased to 0.5 T, the β-Sn dendrites close to the final stage of growth begin to show some directional character. With a further increase in the magnetic field to a higher level(0.8–5 T), the β-Sn dendrites have an enhanced directional growth character, but the dendrites show a certain deflection. As the magnetic field is increased to 12 T, the directional growth of the β-Sn dendrites in the center of the couple is severely destroyed. 10Willingness to Pay for Measures of Managing the Health Effects of Heat Wave in Beijing,China:a Cross-sectional Survey显示文摘Objective There are evidences that heat wave events cause deaths and emergency cases. This article used the contingent valuation method to find the willingness to pay for the protective measures and investigated the factors that influence the willingness to pay. Methods A cross-sectional face-to-face household survey was completed by 637 urban long-term residents and 591 rural long-term residents aged 15-79 in Beijing, China. Binary logistic regression was used to identify factors that influenced the payment rate or payment amount for the protective measures, including independent variables for district, gender, age, education, income, air conditioner ownership, heat wave experience, and chronic non-communicable disease. Results The payment rate was 41.1% for protective measures provided by the government and 39.5% by measures provided by the market. Most of the respondents were willing to pay 40 CNY per capita annually for measures provided by the government or the market. The factors influencing willingness to pay were district, gender, income, air conditioner ownership, heat wave experience, and chronic non-communicable disease. Conclusion Protective measures for heat waves need to be provided immediately. 13Grain dehydration rate is related to post-silking thermal time and ear characters in different maize hybrids显示文摘Mechanized grain harvest of maize becomes increasingly important with growing land plot size in Northeast China. Grain moisture is an important factor affecting the performance of mechanized grain harvest. However, it remains unclear what influences grain dehydration rate. In this study, maize grain dehydrating process was investigated in a two-year field experiment with five hybrids under two planting densities in 2017 and 2018. It was found that damaged-grain ratio was the main factor affecting mechanized harvest quality, and this ratio was positively correlated with grain moisture content at harvest(R^(2)=0.6372, P<0.01). To fulfill the national standard of <5% damaged-grain ratio for mechanized grain harvest, the optimal maize grain moisture content was 22.3%. From silking to physiological maturity, grain dehydrating process was mostly dependent on the thermal time(growing degree days, GDDs)(r=-0.9412, P<0.01). The average grain moisture content at physiological maturity was 29.4%. Thereafter, the linear relationship between GDDs and grain moisture still existed, but the correlation coefficient became smaller(r=-0.8267, P<0.01). At this stage, grain dehydrating process was greatly affected by genotypes. Grain dehydrated faster when a hybrid has a smaller husk area(r=0.6591, P<0.05), larger ear angle(r=-0.7582, P<0.05), longer ear peduncle(r=-0.9356, P<0.01) and finer ear(r=0.9369, P<0.01). 14Study of large area hydrogenated microcrystalline silicon p-layers for back surface field in crystalline silicon solar cells显示文摘A series of hydrogenated microcrystalline silicon (μc-Si:H) p-layers for back surface field in crystalline silicon solar cells were deposited on glass substrates by the developed large area (45 cm×45 cm) plasma enhanced chemical vapour deposition processor operating at 13.56 MHz and various values of source gas trimethylboron (TMB) to H2 flowratio. The influence of deposition parameters on the large area p-layer performance was intensively studied,as well as the thin film uniformity,optical,electrical and structural performances by Raman,FTIR,Ellipsometry,etc. Arrhenius and Tauc plots were used to discuss the μc-Si:H thin film’s activation energy and the defects state distribution. When amorphous-microcrystalline transition state was obtained,the deposited p-doped μc-Si:H layers showed specific resistance of 38.3 Ω-1cm-1 at the flowratio of 0.66% and high crystallinity of 45%–50% with no further treatment.
