3Substructure isolation and damage identification using free responses显示文摘Structural health monitoring(SHM)has become a hot and intensively researched field in civil engineering.Thereinto,damage identification play an important role in maintaining structural integrity and safety.Many effective methods have been proposed for damage identification.However,accurate global identification of large real-world structures is not easy due to their complex and often unknown boundary conditions,nonlinear components,insensitivity of global response to localized damages,etc.Furthermore,global identification often requires lots of sensors and involves large number of unknowns.This is costly,rarely feasible in practice,and usually yields severely ill-conditioned identification problems.Substructuring approach is a possible solution:substructuring methods can focus on local small substructures;they need only a few sensors placed on the substructure and yield smaller and numerically much more feasible identification problems.This paper proposed an improved substructure method using local free response for substructure damage identification.The virtual supports are constructed by Substructure Isolation Method(SIM)using the linear combination of the substructural responses.The influence of the global errors is isolated by adding the virtual supports on the main degree of freedoms(DOFs)of the substructure.Through the correlation analysis,the substructural modes are selected and used for damage identification of the substructure.A plain model of cable stayed bridge is used for the verification of the proposed method.HOU JiLin JANKOWSKI Lukasz OU JinPing 2014Science China(Technological Sciences)2014,57,9:2

5Bright Blue Light-emitting Diodes Based on a Novel Fluorescent Dye Containing Heterocyclic Groups显示文摘Novel molecular material, 1-benzotlliazoly-3 -phenyl --pyrazoline (BTPP) was found to function as bright blue light emitting dye in organic electroluminescent device, and its optical and electric characteristics were investigated. This heterocyclic compound exhibited good characteristics of blue photoluminescence and electroluminescence, which had the emission peak at 450 nm. The single layer light-emitting devices using BTPP as light-emitting material dispersed in poly(N- vinylcarbazole) (PVK) and double layer ones using PBD as hole block layer above the light-emitting layer were fabricated using conventional spin-casting and vaccum vapour deposition methods. 9A retrospective survey on the effect of Kaschin-Beck disease prophylaxis by a change of water sources显示文摘In order to provide further references for studing on the causes of Kaschin-Beck discase (KBD) and measuring for its prevention and treatment from a macroscopic view, we analyzed the natural growth and declineof KBD and the effects of selenium and humic acid on its occurrence from an epidemiologic angle. In this article through a retrospective survey on the spots of disease areas by comparison between a change in water sources and that without. 10The epidemic characteristics of Kaschin-Beck disease (KBD) in different eco-environments显示文摘Epidemiological survey of 573 families, clinical examination of 2593 persons, and X-ray examination of 1136 persons (in 16 typical endemic villages) were conducted, based on the classification of endemiology for KBD disease areas, i.e, mountain type, loess plateau type, plateau type, and flatlands type. It was revealed that the KBD disease areas exhibited the regular pattern of corming-into-being, development and passing-away and the characteristics of growth and decline. Further, it was found clinically that the disease areas may be divided into 4 types, i.e., recent onset, developing, stable, and historical. 12Animal Modelling of Lumbar Corpectomy and Fusion and in vivo Growth of Spine Supporting Bone by Titanium Cage Implants: An Experimental Study显示文摘In this study a lumbar spinal fusion animal model is established to assess the effect of spinal fusion cage,and explore theminimum area ratio of titanium cage section to vertebral section that ensures bone healing and biomechanical property.Lumbarcorpectomy was conducted by posterolateral approach with titanium cage implantation combined with plate fixation.Titaniumcages with the same length but different diameters were used.After implantation of titanium cages,the progress of bone healingwas observed and the bone biomechanical properties were measured,including deformation and displacement in axial compression,flexion,extension,and lateral bending motion.The factors affecting the in vivo growth of spine supporting body wereanalyzed.The results show that the area ratio of titanium cage section to vertebral section should reach 1/2 to ensure the bonehealing,sufficient bone intensity and biomechanical properties.Some bone healing indicators,such as BMP,suggest that there isa relationship between the peak time and the peak value of bone formation and metabolism markers and the bone healing strength.Qingxian Hou,Qingsan Zhu,Yuntao Wu,Ran Li,Dan Li,Yunfeng Zhang,Qing Ruan First Hospital of Jilin University,Changchun 130021,P.R.China 2010Journal of Bionic Engineering2010,7,4:0
