1Affinity peptide developed by phage display selection for targeting gastric cancer显示文摘AIM:To develop an affinity peptide that binds to gastric cancer used for the detection of early gastric cancer.METHODS:A peptide screen was performed by biopanning the PhD-12 phage display library,clearing non-specific binders against tumor-adjacent normal appearing gastric mucosa and obtaining selective binding against freshly harvested gastric cancer tissues.Tumortargeted binding of selected peptides was confirmed by bound phage counts,enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay,competitive inhibition,fluorescence microscopy and semi-quantitative analysis on immunohistochemistry using different types of cancer tissues.RESULTS:Approximately 92.8% of the non-specific phage clones were subtracted from the original phage library after two rounds of biopanning against normal-appearing gastric mucosa.After the third round of positive screening,the peptide sequence AADNAKTKSFPV(AAD) appeared in 25%(12/48) of the analyzed phages.For the control peptide,these values were 6.8 ± 2.3,5.1 ± 1.7,3.5 ± 2.1,4.6 ± 1.9 and 1.1 ± 0.5,respectively.The values for AAD peptide were statistically signif icant(P < 0.01) for gastric cancer as compared with other histological classif ications and control peptide.CONCLUSION:A novel peptide is discovered to have a specific binding activity to gastric cancer,and can be used to distinguish neoplastic from normal gastric mucosa,demonstrating the potential for early cancer detection on endoscopy.Wen-Jie Zhang Yan-Xia Sui Arun Budha Jian-Bao Zheng Xue-Jun Sun Ying-Chun Hou Thomas D Wang Shao-Ying Lu 2012World Journal of Gastroenterology2012,18,17:12
2Quantum phase transition and entanglement in Li atom system显示文摘By use of the exact diagonalization method, the quantum phase transition and en- tanglement in a 6-Li atom system are studied. It is found that entanglement appears before the quantum phase transition and disappears after it in this exactly solvable quantum system. 3Diaporthe species occurring on citrus in China显示文摘Diaporthe species are important pathogens of a wide range of hosts including many economically important crops.Diaporthe citri is generally accepted to cause melanose of Citrus fruits,leaves and shoots;stem-end rot of fruits and gummosis of perennial branches.In this study,147 strains of Diaporthe were isolated from diseased leaves,twigs,fruits and branches of Citrus from Shaanxi,Zhejiang,Guangxi,Fujian,Guangdong,Jiangxi,Hunan,Chongqing and Shanghai and identified by morphology and molecular analysis of nuclear ribosomal internal transcribed spacer(ITS),partial sequences of translation elongation factor 1-α(EF 1-α),tubulin(TUB)and calmodulin(CAL)genes.All strains from Citrus clustered in three clades.Diaporthe citri was the predominant species and is compared with strains from Florida,USA,where this species was first collected and described.Two new taxa differing from D.citri are described as D.citriasiana and D.citrichinensis in this paper.Inoculation tests indicate that all three species are able to cause stem-end rot of fruits,while only D.citri could cause melanose on leaves.Feng Huang Xin Hou Megan M Dewdney Yushi Fu Guoqing Chen Kevin D Hyde Hongye Li 2013Fungal Diversity2013,,4:4
4Pathotypes and Genetic Diversity of Chinese Collections of Elsinoě fawcettii Causing Citrus Scab显示文摘Two scab diseases are currently recognized on citrus: citrus scab, caused by El sino? fawcettii, and sweet orange scab, caused by E. australis. Although these pathogens are economically important, there is no molecular data on these species in China. Here we use internal transcribed spacer sequence data to report on host-specificity and genetic relationships among 46 isolates collected from the main citrus varieties grown across China. All strains isolated were E. fawcettii. Based on pathogenicity testing on 9 diffe rent citrus species, isolates were divided into 11 path otypes(SM, FBHR, SJCR, SPOJCR, SR, SOJG, SPOJC, SRGC, Lemon and two unnamed pathotypes). SM is a new pathotype, and two isolates did not fit into any of the known pathotypes of E. fawcettii. 5Variations in Wool Growth with Nutrient Supply in Northern China显示文摘Field studies on essessment of nutritional status of the grazing sheep were carried out in each of the three major grassland regions, the eastern Inner Mongolia and beyond grassland, the Inner Mongolia - Ningxia - Gansu grassland and the Xinjiang grassland, in northern China. The results obtained showed that the wool production of fine wool sheep in these regions varied between regions and seasons, with similar seasonal patterns in all regions and that reducing the seasonal variations in nutrient supply would enhance wool production substantially. 6Integrated dynamic wet spinning of core-sheath hydrogel fibers for optical-to-brain/tissue communications显示文摘Hydrogel optical light-guides have received substantial interest for applications such as deep-tissue biosensors,optogenetic stimulation and photomedicine due to their biocompatibility,(micro)structure control and tissue-like Young’s modulus.However,despite recent developments,large-scale fabrication with a continuous synthetic methodology,which could produce core-sheath hydrogel fibers with the desired optical and mechanical properties suitable for deep-tissue applications,has yet to be achieved.In this study,we report a versatile concept of integrated light-triggered dynamic wet spinning capable of continuously producing core-sheath hydrogel optical fibers with tunable fiber diameters,and mechanical and optical propagation properties.Furthermore,this concept also exhibited versatility for various kinds of core-sheath functional fibers.The wet spinning synthetic procedure and fabrication process were optimized with the rational design of the core/sheath material interface compatibility[core=poly(ethylene glycol diacrylate-co-acrylamide);sheath=Ca-alginate],optical transparency,refractive index and spinning solution viscosity.The resulting hydrogel optical fibers exhibited desirable low optical attenuation(0.18±0.01 d B cm^(-1) with 650 nm laser light),excellent biocompatibility and tissue-like Young’s modulus(<2.60 MPa).The optical waveguide hydrogel fibers were successfully employed for deep-tissue cancer therapy and brain optogenetic stimulation,confirming that they could serve as an efficient versatile tool for diverse deep-tissue therapy and brain optogenetic applications.Guoyin Chen Gang Wang Xinrong Tan Kai Hou Qingshuo Meng Peng Zhao Shun Wang Jiayi Zhang Zhan Zhou Tao Chen Yanhua Cheng D Benjamin S.Hsiao Elsa Reichmanis Meifang Zhu 2021National Science Review2021,8,9:2
