1Potentiating CD8^(+) T cell antitumor activity by inhibiting PCSK9 to promote LDLR-mediated TCR recycling and signaling显示文摘Metabolic regulation has been proven to play a critical role in T cell antitumor immunity.However,cholesterol metabolism as a key component of this regulation remains largely unexplored.Herein,we found that the low-density lipoprotein receptor(LDLR),which has been previously identified as a transporter for cholesterol,plays a pivotal role in regulating CD8+T cell antitumor activity.Besides the involvement of cholesterol uptake which is mediated by LDLR in T cell priming and clonal expansion,we also found a non-canonical function of LDLR in CD8+T cells:LDLR interacts with the T-cell receptor(TCR)complex and regulates TCR recycling and signaling,thus facilitating the effector function of cytotoxic T-lymphocytes(CTLs).Furthermore,we found that the tumor microenvironment(TME)downregulates CD8+T cell LDLR level and TCR signaling via tumor cell-derived proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9(PCSK9)which binds to LDLR and prevents the recycling of LDLR and TCR to the plasma membrane thus inhibits the effector function of CTLs.Moreover,genetic deletion or pharmacological inhibition of PCSK9 in tumor cells can enhance the antitumor activity of CD8+T cells by alleviating the suppressive effect on CD8+T cells and consequently inhibit tumor progression.While previously established as a hypercholesterolemia target,this study highlights PCSK9/LDLR as a potential target for cancer immunotherapy as well.Juanjuan Yuan Ting Cai Xiaojun Zheng Yangzi Ren Jingwen Qi Xiaofei Lu Huihui Chen Huizhen Lin Zijie Chen Mengnan Liu Shangwen He Qijun Chen Siyang Feng Yingjun Wu Zhenhai Zhang Yanqing Ding Wei Yang 2021Protein & Cell2021,12,4:12
2Liquid organic hydrogen carriers显示文摘The development of efficient hydrogen storage materials is one of the biggest technical challenges for the coming 'hydrogen economy'. The liquid organic hydrogen carriers(LOHCs) with high hydrogen contents,reversibilities and moderate dehydrogenation kinetics have been considered as an alternative option supplementing the extensively investigated inorganic hydride systems. 3Optic and catalytic properties of gold nanoparticles tuned by homopolymers显示文摘Gold nanoparticles (GNs) are prepared through in situ reduction using NaBH4 in the presence of homopolymer PDMAEMA. The sizes of the GNs can be adjusted by alternating the molar ratio of gold to DMAEMA. Pure PDMAEMA aqueous solution shows a phase-transition at 50℃ at pH 10 and 25℃ at pH 14, while PDMAEMA-supported GNs aqueous solution shows a phase-transition at 47℃ at pH 10 because of the increasing hydrophobic property resulting from GNs. Due to the pH and tempera-ture-responsible characteristics of PDMAEMA, the resulting PDMAEMA-supported GNs exhibit pH adjustable temperature-responsive characteristics in optic and catalytic aspects. Under an acidic condi-tion (pH 2), the GNs show unchanged surface Plasmon absorbance with a peak of 518 nm in a tem-perature range from 20 to 65℃. Under a basic condition (pH 10), the GNs first show the same absorb-ance with a peak at 518 nm in a temperature range from 20 to 40℃, and then the absorbance red shifts from 518 to 545 nm as temperature increases from 40 to 65℃. 4Kinetic studies of reversible hydrogen storage over sodium phenoxide-cyclohexanolate pair in aqueous solution显示文摘With reduced dehydrogenation enthalpy change and reduced dehydrogenation temperature compared with its phenol-cyclohexanol pair,sodium phenoxide-cyclohexanolate pair developed recently is promising for large-scale energy storage and long-distance hydrogen transportation.In the present work,we investigate the kinetic behavior of the pair in the hydrogenation and dehydrogenation in water over three commercial catalysts.It is shown that 5%Ru/Al2O3 and 5%Pt/C perform well in the hydrogenation and dehydrogenation,respectively.Kinetic analyses show that the hydrogenation of sodium phenoxide is of first-order with respect to H2 pressure and zero-order to the concentration of sodium phenoxide in the presence of Ru/Al2O3 catalyst.>99%conversion of cyclohexanol and>99%selectivity to phenoxide can be achieved in the dehydrogenation catalyzed by Pt/C catalyst and in the presence of Na OH at 100℃,where cyclohexanone was observed as an intermediate.According to the kinetic analysis,the hydrogenation of sodium phenoxide may undergo the hydrolysis and hydrogenation pathway.For the dehydrogenation,an intermediate,i.e.,cyclohexanone,was detected and two possible pathways are proposed accordingly.Yang Yu Qijun Pei Teng He Ping Chen 2019Journal of Energy Chemistry2019,28,12:2
5Machine learning method for tight-binding Hamiltonian parameterization from ab-initio band structure显示文摘The tight-binding(TB)method is an ideal candidate for determining electronic and transport properties for a large-scale system.It describes the system as real-space Hamiltonian matrices expressed on a manageable number of parameters,leading to substantially lower computational costs than the ab-initio methods.Since the whole system is defined by the parameterization scheme,the choice of the TB parameters decides the reliability of the TB calculations.The typical empirical TB method uses the TB parameters directly from the existing parameter sets,which hardly reproduces the desired electronic structures quantitatively without specific optimizations.It is thus not suitable for quantitative studies like the transport property calculations.The ab-initio TB method derives the TB parameters from the ab-initio results through the transformation of basis functions,which achieves much higher numerical accuracy.However,it assumes prior knowledge of the basis and may encompass truncation error.Here,a machine learning method for TB Hamiltonian parameterization is proposed,within which a neural network(NN)is introduced with its neurons acting as the TB matrix elements.This method can construct the empirical TB model that reproduces the given ab-initio energy bands with predefined accuracy,which provides a fast and convenient way for TB model construction and gives insights into machine learning applications in physical problems.Zifeng Wang Shizhuo Ye Hao Wang Jin He Qijun Huang Sheng Chang 2021npj Computational Materials2021,,1:2
6Engineering FeS_(2) nanoparticles on tubular g-C_(3)N_(4) for photo-Fenton treatment of paint wastewater显示文摘An efficient photo-Fenton catalyst(Fe S_(2)@HTCN)was designed by maximizing the synergistic effect of Fe S_(2)nanoparticles and hollow tubular g-C_(3)N_(4)(HTCN).Molecule self-assembly and molten salts-assisted calcination were used to engineering the hollow structured g-C_(3)N_(4)before anchoring Fe S_(2)nanoparticles on the walls of HTCN via reflux method.Compared to bulk g-C_(3)N_(4),the unique structure of HTCN and heterojunction in the composite endowed FeS_(2)@HTCN with more active sites and abundant channels for electron transfer and charge separation.The enriched electrons can improve the Fe^(3+) recycling and boost Fe^(2+) catalyzed ^(·)OH production via H_(2)O_(2).As-prepared photo-Fenton catalyst was successfully applied to the treatment of industrial paint wastewater.The paint wastewater with its COD as high as 8200 mg/L can be effectively degraded with 0.2 mol/L H_(2)O_(2)in 90 min under visible light irradiation.The photoFenton system was further evaluated according to the process stability and economic benefit,proving that the strategy presented in this work would be applicable to the treatment of real wastewater.Chan Wang Bangqi Wei Han Zhu Yimin He Guoxia Ran Qijun Song 2022Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,6:1

10Evaluating R&D efficiency of China's listed lithium battery enterprises显示文摘Promoting the growth of the lithium battery sector has been a critical aspect of China's energy policy in terms of achieving carbon neutrality.However,despite significant support on research and development(R&D)investments that have resulted in increasing size,the sector seems to be falling behind in technological areas.To guide future policies and understand proper ways of promoting R&D efficiency,we looked into the lithium battery industry of China.Specifically,data envelopment analysis(DEA)was used as the primary approach based on evidence from 22 listed lithium battery enterprises.The performance of the five leading players was compared with that of the industry as a whole.Results revealed little indication of a meaningful improvement in R&D efficiency throughout our sample from 2010 to 2019.However,during this period,a significant increase in R&D expenditure was witnessed.This finding was supported,as the results showed that the average technical efficiency of the 22 enterprises was 0.442,whereas the average pure technical efficiency was at 0.503,thus suggesting that they were suffering from decreasing returns to scale(DRS).In contrast,the performance of the five leading players seemed superior because their average efficiency scores were higher than the industry's average.Moreover,they were experiencing increasing scale efficiency(IRS).We draw on these findings to suggest to policymakers that supporting technologically intensive sectors should be more than simply increasing investment scale;rather,it should also encompass assisting businesses in developing efficient managerial processes for R&D.Shizhen BAI Xinrui BI Chunjia HAN Qijun ZHOU Wen-Long SHANG Mu YANG Lin WANG Petros IEROMONACHOU Hao HE 2022Frontiers of Engineering Management2022,9,3:0

13A novel multiscale simulation framework for low-dimensional memristors显示文摘In recent years,the memristor has been widely considered an emerging device,but it has rarely been simulated.An obstacle is the change in the intrinsic atomic level when it works.Using the density functional theory(DFT),this atomic level change in structure cannot be demonstrated.Using molecular dynamics(MD),memristor electronic transport properties cannot be calculated.In this study,we propose a novel multiscale simulation framework merging MD,DFT,and the nonequilibrium Green’s function method,which can reveal not only a memristor’s basic working mechanism but also its transport character.To verify our framework’s availability in guiding innovative memristor design,a new type of memristor,a planar monolayer MoS_(2)-based memristor,is simulated for the first time.The popped S atoms’effect on its carrier transport is revealed,which clarifies the working mechanism of the planar monolayer MoS_(2)-based memory device.We hope that this framework can shed light on the analysis and design of low-dimensional memristors.Shurong Pan Li Liu Qijun Huang Jin He Hao Wang Sheng Chang 2023Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2023,66,7:0
14A general quantum minimum searching algorithm with high success rate and its implementation显示文摘Finding a minimum is a fundamental calculation in many quantum algorithms.However,challenges are faced in demonstrating it effectively in real quantum computers.In practice,the number of solutions is unknown,and there is no universal encoding method.Besides that,current quantum computers have limited resources.To alleviate these problems,this paper proposes a general quantum minimum searching algorithm.An adaptive estimation method is adopted to calculate the number of solutions,and a quantum encoding circuit for arbitrary databases is presented for the first time,which improves the universality of the algorithm and helps it achieve a nearly 100%success rate in a series of random databases.Moreover,gate complexity is reduced by our simplified Oracle,and the realizability of the algorithm is verified on a superconducting quantum computer.Our algorithm can serve as a subroutine for various quantum algorithms to promote their implementation in the Noisy IntermediateScale Quantum era.Yi Zeng Ziming Dong Hao Wang Jin He Qijun Huang Sheng Chang 2023Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2023,66,4:0

16Identification of inflammatory factor-related genes associated with the prognosis and immune cell infiltration in colorectal cancer patients显示文摘This study aims to identify the inflammatory factor-related genes which help to predict the prognosis of patients with colorectal cancer.GSEA(Gene Set Enrichment Analysis)was used to acquire inflammation-related genes and the corresponding expression information was collected from TCGA database to determine the DEGs(differentially-expressed genes)in CRC patients.We conducted enrichment analysis and PPI(protein–protein interaction)of these DEGs.Besides,key genes that are both differentially-expressed and prognosis-related were screened out,which were used to establish the prognostic model.We obtained 79 DEGs and 19 prognostic genes,10 prognostic-related differential genes were eventually screened.These genes were used to construct the prognostic model.We also identified that the immune infiltration score of macrophages between different risk groups was significantly different and similar distinction was witnessed in immune function score of APC(antigen-presenting cell)co-stimulation and type I IFN(interferon)response.Jialing Hu Yingcheng He Kaili Liao Qijun Yang Yuhan Xu Gaoquan Cao Xiaozhong Wang 2023Genes & Diseases2023,10,5:0

18Preparation of multicolor carbon dots with thermally turn-on fluorescence for multidimensional information encryption显示文摘Carbon dots(CDs)with superior fluorescence properties have attracted a growing number of research interests in anti-counterfeiting.However,the preparation of CDs with thermally turn-on fluorescence and full-color-emitting in visible spectrum is still a big challenge due to the complicated reaction mechanism in the formation of CDs.Here,a simple precursor-oriented strategy for the preparation of multicolor CDs with heat-stimuli turn-on fluorescence is reported.Comprehensive experimental characterizations and theoretical calculations revealed that the emission wavelength of CDs can be readily tuned from 460 nm to 654 nm with selected precursors,which was ascribed to the extent of conjugated sp2-domains(core states)and the amount of oxygen-and nitrogen-containing groups bound to sp2-domains(surface states).After simply mixing two or three kinds of CDs,a full-color range of fluorescence emission was realized,and the CDs-based fluorescence inks were successfully fabricated.Particularly,all the printed patterns from the inkjet exhibited a thermal-induced enhancement in fluorescence.On this basis,combining CDs with heating-induced“turn-off”fluorescence materials can lead to multidimensional and multistage encryption.These results demonstrate that the thermochromic and photochromic CDs with much more enhanced security exhibit promising application in data storage and encryption.Chan Wang Jianfeng Huang Yimin He Guoxia Ran Qijun Song 2024Chinese Chemical Letters2024,35,1:0
19Identification of TP53 mutation-associated prognostic genes and investigation of the immune cell infiltration in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘Primary liver cancer,which is mainly composed of hepatocellular carcinoma(HcC),is the sixth most common type of cancer worldwide and the thirdmost common cause of cancer mortality.1 The total number of mutations present in tumor specimens is called tumor mutation burden(TMB)and it is an emerging biomarker of immunotherapy response.2 TMB can predict clinical responses to immunotherapy such as ICl(immune checkpoint inhibitor)treatments and higher TMB is related to better survival.3 TP53,a gene encoding a tumor suppressor protein that triggers apoptosis and cell cycle arrest,is one of the most prevalent mutations in 25%-30%of HCC patients.4 Research shows that TP53 mutations in HCC patients are associated with advanced tumor grade and poor prognosis.5 To identify the TP53 mutation-related genes which can predict HCC patients'prognosis and explore the immune cell infiltration,we constructed a risk model based on six TP53 mutation-related genes which can accurately predict patients'prognosis.Besides,six immune cells with a similar expression pattern were identified in The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA)and International Cancer Genome Consortium(ICGC)databases.Qijun Yang Lianke Gao Yuhan Xu Gaoquan Cao Yingcheng He Wenyige Zhang Xue Zhang Chengfeng Wu Kaili Liao Xiaozhong Wang 2024Genes & Diseases2024,11,2:0
