1An App knock-in rat model for Alzheimer’s disease exhibiting Aβand tau pathologies,neuronal death and cognitive impairments显示文摘A major obstacle in Alzheimer’s disease(AD)research is the lack of predictive and translatable animal models that reflect disease progression and drug efficacy.Transgenic mice overexpressing amyloid precursor protein(App)gene manifest non-physiological and ectopic expression of APP and its fragments in the brain,which is not observed in AD patients.The App knock-in mice circumvented some of these problems,but they do not exhibit tau pathology and neuronal death.We have generated a rat model,with three familiar App mutations and humanized Aβsequence knocked into the rat App gene.Without altering the levels of full-length APP and other APP fragments,this model exhibits pathologies and disease progression resembling those in human patients:deposit of Aβplaques in relevant brain regions,microglia activation and gliosis,progressive synaptic degeneration and AD-relevant cognitive deficits.Interestingly,we have observed tau pathology,neuronal apoptosis and necroptosis and brain atrophy,phenotypes rarely seen in other APP models.This App knock-in rat model may serve as a useful tool for AD research,identifying new drug targets and biomarkers,and testing therapeutics.Keliang Pang Richeng Jiang Wei Zhang Zhengyi Yang Lin-Lin Li Makoto Shimozawa Simone Tambaro Johanna Mayer Baogui Zhang Man Li Jiesi Wang Hang Liu Ailing Yang Xi Chen Jiazheng Liu Bengt Winblad Hua Han Tianzi Jiang Weiwen Wang Per Nilsson Wei Guo Bai Lu 2022Cell Research2022,32,2:6
2Studies on Lung Cancer Angiogenesis-Application of Interventional Therapy (A Report of 56 Cases)显示文摘OBJECTIVE To investigate the significance of angiogenesis of lung cancer, in order to provide a scientific basis for interventional therapy. METHODS Double-phase enhancementscanning spiral CT and DSA were performed in 56 pathologically confi rmed lung cancer cases, in order to evaluate angiogenesis of the tumors. The patients included 36 males and 20 females, with ages ranging from 33 to 76 years (average of 53). Assessments and indexes for SCT and DSA examinations were as follows: a) Peak value (PV) of the cancerous focus was the difference between the maximum CT value after enhancement and the CT value of a plain scan; b) The abnormally distorted and expanded new vessels of the cancerous focus which could be macroscopically discriminated; c) DSA staining of the focus of cancer was sparse, grid-like and dense. Chemotherapy and embolotherapy via the bronchial artery (interventional therapy) were conducted. Radiotherapy was added for some of the solid tumors with a diameter exceeding 4 cm. RESULTS a) There were 25 cases with a central-type lesion, among which 4 were small cell lung cancers (SCLC) and 21 non-small cell lung cancers (NSCLC). The cases with a peripheral location accounted for 31 of the total, with a maximum diameter of 1.5 to 13.5 cm and a median of 4.2 cm, including 5 small cell lung cancers and 26 NSCLC cases. b) The reinforced PVs of the cancerous foci were as follows: The PV ranged from 45 to 70 Hu in 34 cases, 25 to 45 Hu in 19, and 10 to 25 Hu in 3. Sparse DSA staining occurred in 3 cases, there was uneven grid-like staining in 22 and dense staining in 31; c) The interventional therapy via the bronchial artery was con-ducted twice in 5 cases with the SCLC, and three times in 4 SCLC cases. For 3 of the latter cases, a dose of 5,000 to 7,000 cGy radiation therapy was added during the interventional treatment. Complete remissions (CR) were seen in 88.9% of the cases (8/9) and partial remission (PR) in 11.1% (1/9). Interventional therapy was conducted twice in 8 cases with NSCLC and three times in 30 with NSCLC and four times in 9 cases. Among the total cases, 13 received radiotherapy during interventional therapy, with a radiation dose of 5,000-7,000 cGy; The CR rate was 78.7% (37/47), PR was 14.9% (7/47) and the rate of non-remission was 6.4% (3/47). CONCLUSION Using imaging technology, analysis of angiogenesis of lung cancers was employed to accurately detect and quantify angiogenesis. This analysis was combined for interventional therapy, using embolizing agents and large doses of the anti-tumor drugs and angiogenesis inhibitors. 3Tuning the intermolecular interaction of A_(2)-A_(1)-D-A_(1)-A_(2) type non-fullerene acceptors by substituent engineering for organic solar cells with ultrahigh V_(OC) of ~1.2 V显示文摘For non-fullerene acceptors(NFAs)with linear A_(2)-A_(1)-D-A_(1)-A_(2) backbone,there are three kinds of possible intermolecular interaction,A_(1)-A_(1),A_(1)-A_(2) and A_(2)-A_(2) stacking.Hence,it is a huge challenge to control this interaction and investigate the effect of intermolecular stacking model on the photovoltaic performance.Here,we adopt a feasible strategy,by utilizing different substituent groups on terminal A2 unit of dicyanomethylene rhodanine(RCN),to modulate this stacking model.According to theoretical calculation results,the molecule BTA3 with ethyl substituent packs via heterogeneous interaction between A_(2) and A_(1) unit in neighboring molecules.Surprisingly,the benzyl group can effectively transform the aggregation of BTA5 into homogeneous packing of A_(2)-A_(2) model,which might be driven by the strong interaction between benzyl and A1(benzotriazole)unit.However,different with benzyl,phenyl end group impedes the intermolecular interaction of BTA4 due to the large steric hindrance.When using a BTA-based D-π-A polymer J52-F as donor according to“Same-A-Strategy”,BTA3-5 could achieve ultrahigh open-circuit voltage(VOC)of 1.17–1.21 V.Finally,BTA5 with benzyl groups realized an improved power conversion efficiency(PCE)of 11.27%,obviously higher than that of BTA3(PCE=9.04%)and BTA4(PCE=5.61%).It is also worth noting that the same trend can be found when using other four classic p-type polymers of P3HT,PTB7,PTB7-Th and PBDB-T.This work not only investigates the intermolecular interaction of A_(2)-A_(1)-D-A_(1)-A_(2) type NFAs for the first time,but also provides a straightforward and universal method to change the interaction model and improve the photovoltaic performance.Xiaochen Wang Ailing Tang Jing Yang Mengzhen Du Jianfeng Li Gongqiang Li Qiang Guo Erjun Zhou 2020Science China Chemistry2020,63,11:5
4Hydroxyl radical formation upon dark oxidation of reduced iron minerals: Effects of iron species and environmental factors显示文摘Dark formation of hydroxyl radical upon oxidation of reduced iron minerals plays an important role in the degradation and transformation of organic and inorganic pollutants.Herein,we compared the hydroxyl radical formation from various reduced iron minerals at different redox conditions.·OH production was generally observed from the oxidation of reduced iron minerals,following the order:mackinawite(FeS)>reduced nontronite(iron-bearing smectite clay)> pyrite(FeS2)> side rite(FeCO3).Structural Fe^2+ and dissolved O2 play critical roles in ·OH production from reduced iron minerals.·OH production increases with decreasing pH,and Cl^-has little effect on this process.More importantly,dissolved organic matter significantly enhances ·OH production,especially under O2 purging,highlighting the importance of this process in ambient environments.This sunlight-independent pathway in which ’OH forms during oxidation of reduced iron minerals is helpful for understanding the degradation and transformation of various inorganic and organic pollutants in the redox-fluctuation environments.Ailing Zhu Yingying Guo Guangliang Liu Maoyong Song Yong Liang Yong Cai Yongguang Yin 2019Chinese Chemical Letters2019,30,12:2
5Evolution of Temporal-spatial Pattern of Green Development Efficiency in Shandong Province显示文摘Temporal-spatial differentiation characteristics of green development efficiency in 17 prefecture-level cities of Shandong Province during 2005-2016 were studied by using SBM-undesirable model and spatial auto-correlation analysis.Results showed that ① green development efficiency considering unexpected output could more accurately represent the real cost of regional development,while lower green development efficiency considering unexpected output and traditional green development efficiency illustrated that Shandong Province has spent a lot of resources and environment in the long-term development process.② Green development efficiency of Shandong Province during 2005-2016 showed the change characteristics of 'peak-valley-peak-valley',and standard deviation and coefficient of variation of green development efficiency showed fluctuation characteristics in the research period.③ Green development efficiency of Shandong Province had obvious spatial differentiation characteristics,and its polarization differentiation was obvious.Hou Ailing Guo Fuyou 2019Meteorological and Environmental Research2019,10,3:1

13Interspecific hybridization between Bursaphelenchus xylophilus and Bursaphelenchus mucronatus显示文摘Bursaphelenchus xylophilus is the pathogen that causes pine wilt disease, which has greatly damaged forests and ecosystems in countries of East Asia and Europe.Bursaphelenchus mucronatus is closely related to B. xylophilus in morphology and host plant specificity. A longrunning debate has existed regarding whether these two species can successfully produce hybrid offspring. In the present study, we performed in the laboratory, hybridization of two B. xylophilus nematode isolates from China and Japan and three B. mucronatus isolates from China, Japan and France. Nematode isolates of B. xylophilus were successfully crossed with B. mucronatus isolates, and the rate of hybridization was relatively high; however, some hybrid offspring died. Successful hybridization occurred between B. xylophilus and B. mucronatus isolates from China, and 22 generations of hybrids were produced. All F1 hybrids could be backcrossed with their parents and produce offspring. Variation in mucro length among the hybrid offspring and their parents was observed. The hybrid offspring and their parents were inoculated into 3-months-old black pine(Pinus tunbergii) seedlings. Weaker pathogenicity of hybrid offspring was observed compared with that of their parents, and significantly fewer offspring nematodes than parents were reisolated from pines. 14Selective fluorination on donor and acceptor for management of efficiency and energy loss in non-fullerene organic photovoltaics显示文摘Although fluorination has been proved effective to modulate optoelectronic properties and film morphology,knowledge of managing power conversion efficiency(PCE)and energy loss(Eloss)of organic photovoltaics(OPVs)by selective fluorination on the donor and/or acceptor is lacking.Herein we designed and synthesized three 1,2,3-benzotriazole(BTA)-based linear polymers(PE45,PE46 and PE47)with different numbers of fluorine atom substitution on the conjugated phenyl side chain.Two classic non-fullerene acceptors(NFAs)Y5(without fluorination)and Y6(with fluorination)were utilized to manage the device efficiency and energy loss.The results revealed that increasing fluorine substitutions on polymer donor improved the OPV efficiencies when the fluorinated Y6 was used as the acceptor,whereas decreased the PCEs when the non-fluorinated Y5 was used as the acceptor.The energy loss declined with the growing fluorine substitutions on polymer donor,and Y5 systems gave the lower values in comparison with the corresponding Y6 cases.It turns out that PE47:Y6 achieved the highest PCE of 15.58%with an open-circuit voltage(VOC)of 0.84 V(Eloss=0.56 e V)due to the highest and balanced hole/electron mobilities,suppressed bimolecular recombination and fibril network morphology,which is the highest value in the BTA-based polymers.Furthermore,PE47:Y5 attained an ultralow non-radiative energy loss of 0.15 e V,which is one of the lowest values among the reported OPVs.Our work could not only give a direct path on how to manage the efficiency and energy loss by selective fluorination on donor and acceptor,but also show a deep understanding on charge generation,transport and collection induced by selective fluorination.You Chen Peng Lei Yanfang Geng Ting Meng Xiangyu Li Qingdao Zeng Qing Guo Ailing Tang Yufei Zhong Erjun Zhou 2023Science China Chemistry2023,66,4:0
15Dithizone-functionalized C18 online solid-phase extraction-HPLC-ICP-MS for speciation of ultra-trace organic and inorganic mercury in cereals and environmental samples显示文摘A simple and efficient dithizone-functionalized solid-phase extraction(SPE)procedure,online coupled with high-performance liquid chromatography(HPLC)-inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry,was developed for the first time for enrichment and determination of ultra-trace mercury(Hg)species(inorganic divalent Hg(Hg(Ⅱ)),methylmercury(CH_(3)Hg(Ⅱ))and ethylmercury(C_(2)H_(5)Hg(Ⅱ))in cereals and environmental samples.In the proposed method,functionalization of the commercial C_(18) column with dithizone,enrichment,and elution of the above Hg species can be completed online with the developed SPE device.A simple solution of 2-mercaptoethanol(1%(V/V))could be used as an eluent for both the SPE and HPLC separation of Hg species,significantly simplifying the method and instrumen-tation.The online SPE method was optimized by varying dithizone dose,2-mercaptoethanol concentration,and sample volume.In addition,the effect of pH,coexisting interfering ions,and salt effect on the enrichment was also discussed.Under the optimized conditions,the detection limits of Hg species for 5 mL water sample were 0.15 ng/L for Hg(Ⅱ),0.07 ng/L for CH_(3)Hg(Ⅱ),and 0.04 ng/L for C_(2)H_(5)Hg(Ⅱ)with recoveries in the range of 85%-100%.The developed dithizone-functionalized C_(18) SPE column can be reused after a single function-alization,which significantly simplifies the enrichment step.Moreover,the stability of Hg species enriched on the SPE column demonstrated its suitability for field sampling of Hg species for later laboratory analysis.This environment-friendly method offers a robust tool to detect ultra-trace Hg species in cereals and environmental samples.Ying Wang Ailing Zhu Yingying Fang Changjun Fan Yanli Guo Zhiqiang Tan Yongguang Yin Yong Cai Guibin Jiang 2022Journal of Environmental Sciences2022,34,5:0

Many species, which consisted of chlorine and titanium, were considered. Various thermodynamic equi- libria were calculated in the different pressures at different temperatures. The calculated results were shown as log p-1/T and E-T diagrams. These diagrams may be used as important tools for corrosion study and titanium production. 17Side chain engineering of quinoxaline-based small molecular nonfullerene acceptors for high-performance poly(3-hexylthiophene)-based organic solar cells显示文摘Poly(3-hexylthiophene)(P3HT)is one of the most used semiconducting polymers for organic photovoltaics because it has potential for commercialization due to its easy synthesis and stability.Although the rapid development of the small molecular non-fullerene acceptors(NFAs)have largely improved the power conversion efficiency(PCE)of organic solar cells(OSCs)based on other complicated p-type polymers,the PCE of P3HT-based OSCs is still low.In addition,the design principle and structure-properties correlation for the NFAs matching well with P3HTare still unclear and need to be investigated in depth.Here we designed a series of NFAs comprised of acceptor(A)and donor(D)units with an A2-A1-D-A1-A2 configuration.These NFAs are abbreviated as Qx3,Qx3 b and Qx3c,where indaceno[1,2-b:5,6-b′]dithiophene(IDT),quinoxaline(Qx)and 2-(1,1-dicyanomethylene)rhodanine serve as the middle D,bridged A1 and the end group A2,respectively.By subtracting the phenyl side groups appended on both IDT and Qx skeletons,the absorption spectra,energy levels and crystallinity could be regularly modulated.When paired with P3 HT,three NFAs show totally different photovoltaic performance with PCEs of 3.37%(Qx3),6.37%(Qx3b)and 0.03%(Qx3 c),respectively.From Qx3 to Qx3b,the removing of phenyl side chain in the middle IDT unit results in the increase of crystallinity and electron mobility.However,after subtracting all the grafted phenyl side groups on both IDT and Qx units,the final molecule Qx3 c exhibits the lowest PCE of only 0.03%,which is mainly attributed to the serious phase-separation of the blend film.These results demonstrate that optimizing the substituted position of phenyl side groups for A2-A1-D-A1-A2 type NFAs is vital to regulate the optoelectronic property of molecule and morphological property of active layer for high performance P3HT-based OSCs.Bo Xiao Qianqian Zhang Gongqiang Li Mengzhen Du Yanfang Geng Xiangnan Sun Ailing Tang Yingliang Liu Qiang Guo Erjun Zhou 2020Science China Chemistry2020,63,2:0
