| 2 | Factors Associated with Thrombolysis Outcome in Ischemic Stroke Patients with Atrial Fibrillation显示文摘The outcome of early intravenous thrombolysis for ischemic stroke in patients with atrial fibrillation(AF)is worse than that without thrombosis. How to increase the efficacy of intravenous thrombolysis for AF-related ischemic stroke remains largely unknown. In this study, we investigated factors that influence the effect of intravenous thrombolysis in these patients. Our results showed that thrombolysis was independently associated with a favorable outcome(P \ 0.001) and did not influence the mortality of AF-related ischemic stroke, although it increased the risk of hemorrhage within 24 h after treatment. Risk factors for a poor outcome at admission were:heart failure(P = 0.045); high systolic pressure(P = 0.039); high blood glucose(P = 0.030); and a high National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS) score(P \ 0.001). Moreover, high systolic pressure at admission(P = 0.007), high blood glucose(P = 0.027), and a high NIHSS score(P \ 0.001) were independent risk factors for mortality at 3 months. Besides thrombolysis, a high NIHSS score(P = 0.006) and warfarin taken within 48 h before stroke onset(P = 0.032) were also independent risk factors for symptomatic hemorrhage within 24 h after treatment. | 3 | Online single particle measurement of fireworks pollution during Chinese New Year in Nanning显示文摘Time-resolved single-particle measurements were conducted during Chinese New Year in Nanning, China. Firework displays resulted in a burst of SO_2, coarse mode, and accumulation mode(100–500 nm) particles. Through single particle mass spectrometry analysis, five different types of particles(fireworks-metal, ash, dust, organic carbon-sulfate(OC-sulfate), biomass burning) with different size distributions were identified as primary emissions from firework displays. The fireworks-related particles accounted for more than70% of the total analyzed particles during severe firework detonations. The formation of secondary particulate sulfate and nitrate during firework events was investigated on single particle level. An increase of sulfite peak(80SO_3^-) followed by an increase of sulfate peaks(97HSO_4^-+ 96SO_4^-) in the mass spectra during firework displays indicated the aqueous uptake and oxidation of SO_2 on particles. High concentration of gaseous SO_2, high relative humidity and high particle loading likely promoted SO_2 oxidation. Secondary nitrate formed through gas-phase oxidation of NO_2 to nitric acid, followed by the condensation into particles as ammonium nitrate. | 5 | Characterization and functional analysis of chitinase family genes involved in nymph-adult transition of Sogatella furcifera显示文摘Chitinase degrades chitin in the old epidermis or peritrophic matrix of insects,which ensures normal development and metamorphosis.In our previous work,we comprehensively studied the function of SfCht7 in Sogatella furcifera.However,the number and function of chitinase genes in S.furcifera remain unknown.Here,we identified 12 full-length chitinase transcripts from S.furcifera,which included nine chitinase(Cht),two imaginal disc growth factor(IDGF),and one endo-β-N-acetylglucosaminidase(ENGase)genes.Expression analysis results revealed that the expression levels of eight genes(SfCht3,SfCht5,SfCht6-1,SfCht6-2,SfCht7,SfCht8,SfCht10,and SfIDGF2)with similar transcript levels peaked prior to molting of each nymph and were highly expressed in the integument.Based on RNA interference(RNAi),description of the functions of each chitinase gene indicated that the silencing of SfCht5,SfCht10,and SfIDGF2 led to molting defects and lethality.RNAi inhibited the expressions of SfCht5,SfCht7,SfCht10,and SfIDGF2,which led to downregulated expressions of chitin synthase 1(SfCHS1,SfCHS1a,and SfCHS1b)and four chitin deacetylase genes(SfCDA1,SfCDA2,SfCDA3,and SfCDA4),and caused a change in the expression level of two trehalase genes(TRE1 and TRE2).Furthermore,silencing of SfCht7 induced a significant decrease in the expression levels of three wing development-related genes(SfWG,SfDpp,and SfHh).In conclusion,SfCht5,SfCht7,SfCht10,and SfIDGF2 play vital roles in nymph–adult transition and are involved in the regulation of chitin metabolism,and SfCht7 is also involved in wing development;therefore,these genes are potential targets for control of S.furcifera. | Xibin Yang Cao Zhou Guiyun Long Hong Yang Chen Chen Daochao Jin | 2021 | Insect Science2021,28,4: | 0 |
