1Effects of folic acid on in vitro astrocytic differentiation of neural stem cells from neonatal rats显示文摘BACKGROUND:Folic acid is essential for normal functioning of the nervous system.Previous studies have focused on the effects of folic acid on astrocyte proliferation. OBJECTIVE:To explore the effects of folic acid on astrocyte differentiation of neural stem cells (NSCs) and the related mechanisms in vitro. DESIGN,TIME AND SETTING:A randomized,controlled,grouping experiment was performed in Tianjin Medical University between August 2007 and October 2008. MATERIALS:Folic acid and 5-bromo-2-deoxyuridine(BrdU) were obtained from Sigma,MO,USA. Primary antibodies[rabbit anti-rat nestin,β-tubulin-Ⅲ,glial fibrillary acidic protein,and neurogenin1 (Ngn1);mouse anti-rat BrdU andβ-actin monoclonal antibodies]were purchased from Santa Cruz Biotechnology,USA. METHODS:At 6 days of NSC proliferation from 24-hour-old neonatal rats,BrdU incorporation assay was performed.Seven days after primary culture,NSCs were induced to differentiate with medium containing 5%fetal bovine serum.Cultured NSCs were assigned to three groups:control,low-dose (liquid media with 8 mg/L folic acid),and high-dose folic acid(liquid media with 44 mg/L folic acid). MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:At day 7 after primary culture,the cells were identified as NSCs by immunocytochemical methods.Double-label immunofluorescence technique for glial fibrillary acidic protein/BrdU detected differentiated cells 7 days after induction.Western blot was used to analyze expression of Ngn1 protein in NSCs. RESULTS:In serum-free suspension medium,neurospheres comprised a large number of Nestin-, glial fibrillary acidic protein-,β-tubulin-Ⅲ-,and BrdU-positive cells.Compared with the control group, high-dose folic acid supplementation led to an marked increase in the percentage of glial fibrillary acidic protein/BrdU-positive cells(P<0.05),and significantly decreased Ngn1 protein expression (P<0.05). 2Efficient microwave absorption achieved through in situ construction of core-shell Co Fe_(2)O_(4)@mesoporous carbon hollow spheres显示文摘Cobalt ferrite(CoFe_(2)O_(4)),with good chemical stability and magnetic loss,can be used to prepare composites with a unique structure and high absorption.In this study,CoFe_(2)O_(4)@mesoporous carbon hollow spheres(MCHS)with a core-shell structure were prepared by introducing CoFe_(2)O_(4)magnetic particles into hollow mesoporous carbon through a simple in situ method.Then,the microwave absorption performance of the CoFe_(2)O_(4)@MCHS composites was investigated.Magnetic and dielectric losses can be effectively coordinated by constructing the porous structure and adjusting the ratio of MCHS and CoFe_(2)O_(4).Results show that the impedance matching and absorption properties of the Co Fe_(2)O_(4)@MCHS composites can be altered by tweaking the mass ratio of MCHS and CoFe_(2)O_(4).The minimum reflection loss of the Co Fe_(2)O_(4)@MCHS composites reaches-29.7 dB at 5.8 GHz.In addition,the effective absorption bandwidth is 3.7 GHz,with the thickness being 2.5 mm.The boosted microwave absorption can be ascribed to the porous core-shell structure and introduction of magnetic particles.The coordination between the microporous morphology and the core-shell structure is conducive to improving the attenuation coefficient and achieving good impedance matching.The porous core-shell structure provides large solid-void and CoFe_(2)O_(4)-C interfaces to induce interfacial polarization and extend the electromagnetic waves’multiple scattering and reflection.Furthermore,natural resonance,exchange resonance,and eddy current loss work together for the magnetic loss.This method provides a practical solution to prepare core-shell structure microwave absorbents.Lianggui Ren Yiqun Wang Xin Zhang Qinchuan He Guanglei Wu 2023International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2023,30,3:2

5Rational manipulation of composition and construction toward Zn/Co bimetal hybrids for electromagnetic wave absorption显示文摘Rational manipulation of multi-metal hybrids with controllable compositions and constructions is evolv-ing as an efficacious strategy for tunable electromagnetic(EM)characteristics and EM wave(EMW)ab-sorption.Herein,a novel bi-orientation etching approach is proposed to regulate the chemical composi-tions and hybridization construction of Zn/Co hybrids,thence meeting the synergistic interaction among diverse compositions for ultra-high EMW absorption.Attributing to the stepwise heterometallic modi-fication by Zn in Co-ZIFs(Zn@Co-ZIF)and Co in Zn-ZIFs(Co@Zn-ZIF),corresponding pyrolysis products with variable Zn/Co atomic concentration and hybridization states(Zn@Co-C,Co@Zn-C)can be obtained.The Co species was confirmed to have a positive impact on both the dielectric and magnetic response,while an appropriate amount of Zn hybridization in Co substance further enhanced the synergistic ef-fect between multiple loss mechanisms,promoting the minimum reflection loss and effective absorption bandwidth of Zn@Co-C reached-34.99 dB and 5.52 GHz(2.00 mm),respectively.Finally,this work re-veals the composition and construction dependency of bimetal hybrids on EMW absorption,which can be a strong reference for developing EMAs with diverse hybridization structures.Xiuyun Ren Yihe Song Zhenguo Gao Yalan Wu Zirui Jia Guanglei Wu 2023Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,3:1
