| 3 | The impact of sulfate reduction on the distribution of methylmercury in reservoirs in the city of Guiyang显示文摘In this paper, the relationship between sulfate reduction potential and mercury methylation potential was studied in the Aha, Baihua and Hongfeng reservoirs from Guiyang City. The methylmercury (MeHg) concentrations of lake water in the Aha Reservoir were greatly elevated as compared to those of the Hongfeng and Baihua reservoirs, which was correlated with its distinctly high SRB abundance, SO42-, and S2- concentrations. Among the three reservoirs, however, the highest MeHg was observed in in the top several centimenters of pore water profile in the Hongfeng Reservoir where the lowest S2- in pore water occurred. The distributions of MeHg in lake water and pore water showed the highest methylation potential occurred at water-sediment surface for the Aha Reservoir and the in the top several centimenters of sediments for the Hongfeng Reservoir. | 5 | Effects of sulfate-reducing bacteria on methylmercury at the sediment–water interface显示文摘Sediment cores(containing sediment and overlying water) from Baihua Reservoir(SW China)were cultured under different redox conditions with different microbial activities, to understand the effects of sulfate-reducing bacteria(SRB) on mercury(Hg) methylation at sediment–water interfaces. Concentrations of dissolved methyl mercury(DMe Hg) in the overlying water of the control cores with bioactivity maintained(BAC) and cores with only sulfate-reducing bacteria inhibited(SRBI) and bacteria fully inhibited(BACI) were measured at the anaerobic stage followed by the aerobic stage. For the BAC and SRBI cores, DMe Hg concentrations in waters were much higher at the anaerobic stage than those at the aerobic stage, and they were negatively correlated to the dissolved oxygen concentrations(r =- 0.5311 and r =- 0.4977 for BAC and SRBI, respectively). | 6 | A conserved unusual posttranscriptional processing mediated by short,direct repeated (SDR) sequences in plants显示文摘In several stress responsive gene loci of monocot cereal crops,we have previously identified an unusual posttranscriptional processing mediated by paired presence of short direct repeated (SDR) sequences at 5' and 3' splicing junctions that are distinct from conventional (U2/U12-type) splicing boundaries.By using the known SDR-containing sequences as probes,24 plant candidate genes involved in diverse functional pathways from both monocots and dicots that potentially possess SDR-mediated posttranscriptional processing were predicted in the GenBank database.The SDRs-mediated posttranscriptional processing events including cis-and trans-actions were experimentally detected in majority of the predicted candidates.Extensive sequence analysis demonstrates several types of SDR-associated splicing peculiarities including partial exon deletion,exon fragment repetition,exon fragment scrambling and trans-splicing that result in either loss of partial exon or unusual exonic sequence rearrangements within or between RNA molecules.In addition,we show that the paired presence of SDR is necessary but not sufficient in SDR-mediated splicing in transient expression and stable transformation systems.We also show prokaryote is incapable of SDR-mediated premRNA splicing. | Xiangli Niu Di Luo Shaopei Gao Guangjun Ren Lijuan Chang Yuke Zhou Xiaoli Luo Yuxiang Li Pei Hou Wei Tang Bao-Rong Lu Yongsheng Liu | 2010 | Journal of Genetics and Genomics2010,37,1: | 0 |
| 7 | Observation on the Clinical Effect of Different Pressures in Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy on Patients with Diffuse Axonal Injury显示文摘Objective:To observe the efficacy and significance of hyperbaric oxygen at different pressures in the treatment of diffuse axonal injury(DAI).Methods:Sixty patients with DAI were randomly divided into 1.8 ATA group(30 cases)and 2.2 ATA group(30 cases).The routine treatment for each group was the same.The 1.8 ATA.group received hyperbaric oxygen therapy under 1.8 ATA on the basis of routine treatment,whereas the 2.2 ATA group received hyperbaric oxygen therapy under 2.2 ATA.on the basis of routine treatment.The therapy was given once a day over 3 consecutive courses,with each course having 10 sessions.The Glasgow Coma Scale(GCS)on day 10,day 20,and day 30 after treatment,as well as the Glasgow Outcome Scale(GOS)after 6 months were compared between the two groups.Results:The mean GCS on day 10,day 20,and day 30 after treatment,as well as the mean GOS after 6 months of treatment in the 2.2 ATA group were significantly higher than those in the 1.8 ATA group(p<0.05).Conclusion:For patients with dififtise axonal injury,hyperbaric oxygen therapy is more effective with 2.2 ATA.compared with 1.8 ATA. | Xinli Feng Jie Yang Jun Wang Shuang Dong Yamei Wang Dahui Zhang Guangjun Peng Jinhua Luo | 2022 | Journal of Clinical and Nursing Research2022,6,3: | 0 |
| 8 | Clinical Efficacy of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy at Different Pressures in the Treatment of Sudden Deafness显示文摘Objective:To analyze the efficacy of hyperbaric oxygen at different pressures in the treatment of sudden deafness.Methods:Eighty-two patients with sudden deafness treated in the Affiliated Hospital of Hebei University from September 2019 to September 2021 were selected as the research subjects.The patients were randomly divided into study group 1 and study group 2,and they were treated with hyperbaric oxygen on the basis of routine treatment,in which the pressure used was 1.8 ATA and 2.2 ATA,respectively.Oxygen was delivered via the pressure stabilizing mask for 60 minutes.The patients received two courses of treatment,each lasting 10 days.The changes in hearing(pure tone audiometry)and the clinical efficacy of both the groups were compared before and after treatment.The data obtained were statistically analyzed using SPSS 19.0.Results:The total effective rate of study group 1 was 90.00%,while that of study group 2 was 76.19%.The differences between the two groups were statistically significant(p<0.05).Conclusion:For patients with sudden deafness treated with hyperbaric oxygen,the clinical efficacy of 1.8 ATA is more significant than that of 2.2 ATA. | Xinli Feng Shuang Dong Jun Wang Jie Yang Yamei Wang Dahui Zhang Guangjun Peng Jinhua Luo | 2022 | Proceedings of Anticancer Research2022,6,2: | 0 |
