| 1 | Influences of trans-trans farnesol,a membrane-targeting sesquiterpenoid,on Streptococcus mutans physiology and survival within mixed-species oral biofilms显示文摘Trans-trans farnesol (tt-farnesol) is a bioactive sesquiterpene alcohol commonly found in propolis (a beehive product) and citrus fruits, which disrupts the ability of Streptococcus mutans (S. mutans) to form virulent biofilms. In this study, we investigated whether tt-farnesol affects cell-membrane function, acid production and/or acid tolerance by planktonic cells and biofilms of S. mutans UA159. Furthermore, the influence of the agent on S. mutans gene expression and ability to form biofilms in the presence of other oral bacteria (Streptococcus oralis (S. oralis) 35037 and Actinomyces naeslundii (A. naeslundii) 12104) was also examined. In general, tt-farnesol (1 mmol·L-1) significantly increased the membrane proton permeability and reduced glycolytic activity of S. mutans in the planktonic state and in biofilms (P<0.05). Moreover, topical applications of 1 mmol·L-1 tt-farnesol twice daily (1 min exposure/treatment) reduced biomass accumulation and prevented ecological shifts towards S. mutans dominance within mixed-species biofilms after introduction of 1% sucrose. S. oralis (a non-cariogenic organism) became the major species after treatments with tt-farnesol, whereas vehicle-treated biofilms contained mostly S. mutans (>90% of total bacterial population). However, the agent did not affect significantly the expression of S. mutans genes involved in acidogenicity, acid tolerance or polysaccharide synthesis in the treated biofilms. Our data indicate that tt-farnesol may affect the competitiveness of S. mutans in a mixed-species environment by primarily disrupting the membrane function and physiology of this bacterium. | 2 | Optimization and design of an aircraft's morphing wing-tip demonstrator for drag reduction at low speeds, Part II- Experimental validation using Infra-Red transition measurement from Wind Tunnel tests显示文摘In the present paper, an ‘in-house' genetic algorithm was numerically and experimentally validated. The genetic algorithm was applied to an optimization problem for improving the aerodynamic performances of an aircraft wing tip through upper surface morphing. The optimization was performed for 16 flight cases expressed in terms of various combinations of speeds, angles of attack and aileron deflections. The displacements resulted from the optimization were used during the wind tunnel tests of the wing tip demonstrator for the actuators control to change the upper surface shape of the wing. The results of the optimization of the flow behavior for the airfoil morphing upper-surface problem were validated with wind tunnel experimental transition results obtained with infra-red Thermography on the wing-tip demonstrator. | 3 | 红脂大小蠹Dendroctonus valens(Coleoptera,Scolytidae)和大唼蜡甲Rhizophagus grandis(Coleoptera,Rhizophagidae)的耐寒性(英文)显示文摘红脂大小蠹Dendroctonus valensLe Conte(Red turpentine beetle,RTB)是近年来在中国爆发的入侵生物,在我国主要以老熟幼虫在油松伐桩和立木的根部越冬。室内测定昆虫的过冷却点(SCP)和短时间致死低温(LLT)是评价昆虫耐寒能力的重要方法。实验结果显示,红脂大小蠹越冬幼虫的平均过冷却点为-11.98±2.55℃,是一种耐冰冻的昆虫。红脂大小蠹的过冷却点在不同地理分布区的种群间有明显差异,老熟幼虫的过冷却点明显低于低龄幼虫,在越冬前和越冬后的幼虫间没有明显差异。红脂大小蠹幼虫在冬季至少可以忍受-23.5℃的大气温度安全越冬。从2001年开始引入我国的云杉大小蠹的捕食者大唼蜡甲(Rhizophagus grandis Gyll.)幼虫的过冷却点为-18.05±2.76℃,低于红脂大小蠹所有虫态的过冷却点,说明比红脂大小蠹有更强的耐寒能力。 | 赵建兴 杨忠岐 Jean-Claude Gregoire | 2009 | 环境昆虫学报2009,31,1: | 9 |
| 4 | Optimization and design of an aircraft's morphing wing-tip demonstrator for drag reduction at low speed, Part Ⅰ–Aerodynamic optimization using genetic, bee colony and gradient descent algorithms显示文摘In this paper, an ‘in-house' genetic algorithm is described and applied to an optimization problem for improving the aerodynamic performances of an aircraft wing tip through upper surface morphing. The algorithm's performances were studied from the convergence point of view, in accordance with design conditions. The algorithm was compared to two other optimization methods,namely the artificial bee colony and a gradient method, for two optimization objectives, and the results of the optimizations with each of the three methods were plotted on response surfaces obtained with the Monte Carlo method, to show that they were situated in the global optimum region. The optimization results for 16 wind tunnel test cases and 2 objective functions were presented. | 5 | Use of models in large-area forest surveys: comparing model-assisted, model-based and hybrid estimation显示文摘This paper focuses on the use of models for increasing the precision of estimators in large-area forest surveys.It is motivated by the increasing availability of remotely sensed data,which facilitates the development of models predicting the variables of interest in forest surveys.We present,review and compare three different estimation frameworks where models play a core role:model-assisted,model-based,and hybrid estimation.The first two are well known,whereas the third has only recently been introduced in forest surveys.Hybrid inference mixes designbased and model-based inference,since it relies on a probability sample of auxiliary data and a model predicting the target variable from the auxiliary data.We review studies on large-area forest surveys based on model-assisted,modelbased,and hybrid estimation,and discuss advantages and disadvantages of the approaches.We conclude that no general recommendations can be made about whether model-assisted,model-based,or hybrid estimation should be preferred.The choice depends on the objective of the survey and the possibilities to acquire appropriate field and remotely sensed data.We also conclude that modelling approaches can only be successfully applied for estimating target variables such as growing stock volume or biomass,which are adequately related to commonly available remotely sensed data,and thus purely field based surveys remain important for several important forest parameters. | Goran Stahl Svetlana Saarela Sebastian Schnell Soren Holm Johannes Breidenbach Sean P. | 6 | 低氧和低氧训练对高脂喂养的ApoE敲除鼠骨骼肌Nrf2表达及氧化应激的影响显示文摘目的:探究低氧及低氧训练2种不同干预方式对高脂喂养的ApoE敲除鼠骨骼肌氧化应激的改善效果。方法:健康9周龄ApoE KO鼠共35只,5只小鼠用于测定最大跑速,其余30只ApoE KO小鼠随机分为3组:常氧安静对照组(C),低氧安静组(H)和低氧训练组(HE),每组10只。C组小鼠不做干预,H组小鼠放置在常压低氧房中(氧浓度为11.2%)进行40 min的低氧暴露,3次/周,持续6周。HE组小鼠在相同氧浓度的低氧房中进行40 min耐力训练,速度为40%最大跑速,3次/周,共6周。3组小鼠在6周干预过程中均食用含有21%脂肪及1.5%胆固醇的高脂饲料。最后一次低氧暴露及低氧训练后,所有小鼠休息48 h。取材时采用麻醉后经心脏穿刺取血测定血脂水平,并取小鼠腿部骨骼肌进行氧化应激相关指标的检测。结果:1)与C组相比,H组和HE组小鼠血浆TC含量及LDL-C含量无明显变化,HE组血浆TG含量显著低于H组,HDLC含量显著高于C组和H组(P<0.05)。2)与C组相比,H组和HE组小鼠骨骼肌中ROS水平和蛋白质羰基化含量均出现明显下降,并且HE组ROS水平低于H组(P<0.01)。3)H组和HE组Nrf2、p-Nrf2及抗氧化蛋白表达出现增加趋势,HE组NQO1蛋白表达显著高于C组(P<0.05)。4)与C组相比,HE组Gss、Gsr、Gclc、Gclm的mRNA表达均高于C组(P<0.01),并且Gss mRNA表达显著高于H组(P<0.05),Gclm和Gclc极显著高于H组(P<0.01);H组和HE组小鼠骨骼肌中GSH含量均极显著高于C组(P<0.01),且HE组GSSG含量显著低于C组(P<0.05)。GSH/GSSG比值虽在H组和HE组出现增加趋势,但并无统计学差异。结论:低氧结合中等强度持续运动对高脂喂养的ApoE KO鼠血脂水平和骨骼肌氧化应激具有更好的改善效果,其中Nrf2信号通路对谷胱甘肽系统的抗氧化调节可能发挥了重要作用。 | 王林佳 Jesscia Lavier 花卫成 王杨文洁 Gregoire Milliet 张缨 | 2021 | 北京体育大学学报2021,44,11: | 2 |
