| 1 | Analysis of the high-temperature dry sliding behavior of CoCrFeNiTi0.5Alx high-entropy alloys显示文摘In this study,CoCrFeNiTi0.5Alx high‐entropy alloys were produced by induction melting and their dry sliding wear behavior was examined at different temperatures.In addition to face‐centered cubic(FCC)phases,low amounts of a tetragonal phase were detected in the microstructures of alloys without Al and microscratches were formed by wear particles on the worn surfaces of the alloy specimens.Two body‐centered cubic(BCC)phases were detected in the alloy with 0.5Al and a fatigue‐related extrusion wear mechanism was detected on the worn surface.The alloy specimen with a high Al content exhibited the best wear characteristics.No wear tracks were formed in single‐phase BCC intermetallic alloys at room temperature and they exhibited a higher wear strength at high temperatures when compared to other samples. | Azmi ERDOGAN Mustafa Sabri GOK Sakin ZEYTIN | 2020 | Friction2020，8，1： | 5 |
| 2 | Efficient adsorption of Th(Ⅳ)from aqueous solution by modified SBA-15 mesoporous silica显示文摘A very effective adsorbent for thorium has been obtained by modification of Santa Barbara Amorphous(SBA-15) using the chelating agent thenoyltrifluoroacetone(TTA).The prepared adsorbent(SBA-15-TTA) was characterized using scanning electron microscopy(SEM),Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR),surface area,porosity,and zeta potential analyses.We investigated the factors affecting Th(IV) adsorption on TTA-SBA-15,such as initial p H,contact time,temperature,and initial metal concentration.The effective initial p H for adsorption was found to be 4.The binding sites on TTA-SBA-15 adsorbent were saturated using an initial Th(IV) concentration of 100 mg L-1.The Dubinin–Radushkevich isotherm suggested a strong chemical interaction between adsorbent and adsorbate.Contact time and temperature had no significant effect on the adsorption.Therefore,the studies show that TTA-SBA-15 is a promising adsorbent to treat Th(IV)-contaminated effluents. | Mutlu Gok Senol Sert Gulcin Ozevci Meral Eral | 2018 | Nuclear Science and Techniques2018，29，7： | 3 |
| 3 | Neuroprotective effect of edaravone in experimental glaucoma model in rats: a immunofluorescence and biochemical analysis显示文摘AIM: To evaluate the neuroprotective activity of systemically administered edaravone in early and late stage of experimental glaucoma in rats.METHODS: In this study, 60 Wistar albino rats were used. Experimental glaucoma model was created by injecting hyaluronic acid to the anterior chamber once a week for 6wk in 46 of 60 subjects. Fourteen subjects without any medication were included as control group.Edaravone administered intraperitoneally 3 mg/kg/d to the 15 of 30 subjects starting at the onset of glaucoma induction and also administered intraperitoneally3 mg/kg/d to the other 15 subjects starting at three weeks after the onset of glaucoma induction. The other16 subjects who underwent glaucoma induction was administered any therapy. Retinal ganglion cells(RGCs)have been marked with dextran tetramethylrhodamine(DTMR) retrograde at the end of the sixth week and after48 h, subjects were sacrificed by the method of cardiac perfusion. Alive RGC density was assessed in the wholemount retina. Whole-mount retinal tissues homogenized and nitric oxide(NO), malondialdehyde(MDA) and total antioxidant capacity(TAC) values were measured biochemically.RESULTS: RGCs counted with Image-Pro Plus program, in the treatment group were found to be statistically significantly protected, compared to the glaucoma group(Bonferroni,P <0.05). The neuroprotective activity of edaravone was found to be more influential byadministration at the start of the glaucoma process.Statistically significant lower NO levels were determined in the glaucoma group comparing treatment groups(Bonferroni, P <0.05). MDA levels were found to be highest in untreated glaucoma group, TAC levels were found to be lower in the glaucoma induction groups than the control group(Bonferroni, P <0.05).CONCLUSION: Systemic administration of edaravone in experimental glaucoma showed potent neuroprotective activity.
