| 1 | Influence of Heating Rate on Double Reversible Transformation in CuZnAlMnNi Shape Memory Alloy显示文摘The influence of heating rate on double reversible transformation in CuZnAlMnNi shape memory alloy was investigated by differential scanning calorimetry. It was found that rapid heating inhibits X-M transformation but is fa- vorable to the reverse medensite transformation, giving rise to the approach of the two transformation peaks. | 3 | Spray Effect on the Thermal Performances of a Dry Cooling Tower显示文摘Pre-cooling the inlet air of a dry cooling tower by means of a spray can improve the tower performance during periods of high temperature.To study the spray effect on the thermal performance of natural draft dry cooling towers(NDDCTs),in this study 3-D numerical simulations of such a process have been conducted using Fluent 16.2(a two-way coupled Eulerian-Lagrangian approach).The considered NDDCT is 120 m high and only half system is simulated due to its structural symmetry.Three different spray strategies have been investigated at a typical crosswind speed of 4 m/s,which is the most frequent wind speed.The results have shown that:(1)The three implemented spray strategies can improve the thermal performance of the studied NDDCT with a vary-ing degree of success.In one case,the heat rejection rate can be increased by 35.2%,and the tower outlet water temperature can be decreased by 2.1℃ when compared with the no spray case;(2)To improve the thermal per-formance of the NDDCT using a small amount of water,the design of the spray pre-cooling system must include more nozzles on the windward and fewer or even no nozzles on the leeward sides of the NDDCT. | Zhe Geng Feng Feng Shuzhen Zhang Jie Li Chengwei Liu Yang Li Tiantian Liu Suoying He | 2023 | Fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing2023,19,9: | 0 |
| 4 | Glutathione S-Transferase(GST)Identified from Giant Kelp Macrocystis pyrifera Increases the Copper Tolerance of Synechococcus elongatus PCC 7942显示文摘The glutathione S-transferases gene family plays an important regulatory role in growth and development,and responses to environmental change.In this study,six complete GST genes(Mp GST1,Mp GST2,Mp GST3,MpGST4,Mp GST5,and Mp GST6)were cloned from the gametophytes of brown alga Macrocystis pyrifera.Subsequent bioinformatics analysis showed that these six genes encoded proteins with 202,216,288,201,205,and 201 aa,respectively.Moreover,Mp GST3 differs from the other GST genes.Phylogenetic analysis suggested that MpGST3 belongs to the Ure2p type GST.Domain analysis suggested that the other GSTs from M.pyrifera belong to the soluble GST family and form an independent branch with the GSTs found in the other macroalgae,suggesting that a new GST type was formed during macroalgal evolution.GST genes were upregulated in M.pyrifera when 2.5 mg L^(-1)Cu ions were added to the medium.Six GST genes were integrated into the genome of Synechococcus elongatus PCC 7942,and their functions were verified by measuring light absorbance,photosynthetic pigment content,and photosynthetic parameters of the transformed strains under 0.3 mg L^(-1)Cu ion stress.The results showed much higher levels of various parameters in the transformed strains than in the wild strain.The transformed strains(with the MpGST genes)showed significantly enhanced resistance to Cu ion stress,while the wild strain almost died.The results of this study lay a theoretical foundation for further research on the Cu ion stress resistance function of GSTs in M.pyrifera. | GU Zipeng REN Yudong LIANG Chengwei ZHANG Xiaowen GENG Yilin XU Dong YE Naihao | 2023 | Journal of Ocean University of China2023,22,3: | 0 |
| 5 | TEM observation of oxidation of CuZnAlMnNi shape memory alloy显示文摘The atmospheric oxidation of a quenched CuZnAlMnNi alloy after ion-polishing was examined by transmission electron microscopy (TEM). It was found that a lot of oxide grains with various sizes yield homogeneously on the surface of the alloy after exposure at room temperature for 90 d. The grains mainly form along the planes of stacking fault, meanwhile, they can also be observed at the stacking fault tetrahedrals or around the dislocation lines. The formation of the oxides gives rise to the reduction of the stacking faults, and even complete disappearance in some zones, which is partly responsible for the decrement of shape memory effect (SME) of the alloy quenched during long-term holding at room temperature. | BAI Yujun LU Chengwei GENG Guili YIN Longwei | 2001 | Chinese Science Bulletin2001,46,21: | 0 |
