1Doxorubicin-loaded zein in situ gel for interstitial chemotherapy of colorectal cancer显示文摘The aim of this research was to evaluate doxorubicin(DOX)-loaded zein in situ gels,a new drug delivery system in which a liquid state drug can be transformed into semi-solid after intratumoral injection.In vitro release of DOX-loaded zein was investigated and the pharmacokinetics,biodistribution and therapeutic efficacy of these DOX-loaded zein formulations were investigated using BAI B/c nude tumor-bearing mice.In vitro release of DOX from the gels extended up to 7 days.Efficient accumulation of DOX in the tumor with lower drug concentration in blood and normal organs was obtained resulting in effective inhibition of tumor growth and fewer off-target side effects.In conclusion,a DOX-loaded in situ gel was developed with sustained release,enhanced anti-cancer efficacy for colorectal cancer in vivo,and especially with reduced off-target side effects.Ning Shen Jie Hu Linan Zhang Li Zhang Yongjun Sun Yinghua Xie Shaomei Wu Lei Liu Zibin Gao 2012Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2012,2,6:3
2Diurnal Variation in Relative Photosynthetic Performance of Marestail (Hippuris vulgaris Linn.) Across a Water Temperature Gradient using PAM Fluorometry in Jiuzhaigou National Nature Reserve,Sichuan Province,China显示文摘This paper reports the first photosynthetic study of marestail in Jiuzhaigou.In this work,we used PAM fluorometry to examine photosynthetic rates of submerged and emerged marestail in three lakes.Three lakes were studied across a gradient of water temperature,with low water temperature conditions in Grass Lake and Arrow Bamboo Lake,and higher water temperature in Five Colored Lake.In the field,electron transport rates (ETRmax) were measured as rapid light curves (RLCs) by in situ yield measurements.Submerged and emerged marestail showed higher photosynthetic activity in Five Colored Lake compared to the other lakes,a response consistent with the adaptation of marestail in Five Colored Lake to high water temperature.The optimal temperature for photosynthesis of submerged marestail in Jiuzhaigou was about 12 °C.Non-photochemical quenching (NPQ) of submerged and emerged marestail increased with increasing water temperature.Maximum quantum yield (Fv/Fm) of submerged marestail in Five Colored Lake showed full recovery at 1700 h due to higher NPQ.Further,the chlorophyll a for submerged marestail was the highest in Grass Lake and the lowest in Five Colored Lake.These results indicate that in different lakes the function of these aquatic plants is associated with a diversity of place-dependent environmental conditions,especially water temperature that leads to pronounced differences in the plant's ecophysiological reactions.GAO Linan TANG Ya Carla BOSSARD WANG Yan HAN Zhiguo 2011Journal of Mountain Science2011,8,6:2

4Electrical-field induced nonlinear conductive behavior in dense zirconia ceramic显示文摘The effect of the applied electric field on the conductive behavior of zirconia ceramics is studied by measuring its initial current-voltage curve at various temperatures. The results show that when the field strength is higher than the threshold for flash-sintering, the curves exhibit a nonlinear behavior by having an additional current on top of the linear current according to Ohm's law. Analyzing its transport behavior reveals that the additional current density is due to the extra oxygen vacancies induced by the electric field. 5Fotemustine-based therapy in combination with rituximab as a first-line induction chemotherapy followed by WBRT for newly diagnosed primary central nervous system lymphoma: a prospective phase II trial显示文摘Objective:This study aimed to evaluate the safety,efficacy,and feasibility of the rituximab,fotemustine,pemetrexed,and dexamethasone(R-FPD)regimen followed by whole-brain radiotherapy(WBRT)for patients with primary central nervous system lymphoma(PCNSL).Methods:A prospective,single-center phase II clinical trial was conducted.Patients with PCNSL newly diagnosed at the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University between July 2018 and July 2020 were studied.The R-FPD regimen consisted of rituximab(375 mg/m2 i.v.on D0),fotemustine(100 mg/m2 i.v.on D1),pemetrexed(600 mg/m2 i.v.on D1),and dexamethasone(40 mg i.v.on D1-5).Patients 60 years or younger who showed a complete response(CR)were treated with 23.4 Gy of WBRT after the end of chemotherapy;those older than 60 years with CR were treated with a wait-and-see approach;and those who did not show CR after the 4th cycle of chemotherapy were given salvage WBRT 30 Gy+local tumor field irradiation up to 45 Gy,regardless of age.Results:A total of 30 patients were included.After 2 cycles,the objective response rate(ORR)was 96.5%(28/29,1 CR,27 PR,0 SD,and 1 PD).After 4 cycles,the ORR was 73.1%(19/26,11 CR,8 PR,4 SD,and 3 PD).After WBRT,the ORR was 90.9%(10/11,7 CR,3 PR,and 1 SD).The grade III and IV toxicity responses were mainly leukopenia(20.0%),thrombocytopenia(23.3%),and anemia(10.0%).Conclusions:Fotemustine-based therapy in combination with rituximab chemotherapy followed by WBRT can improve outcomes,providing ORR benefits and favorable tolerability in patients newly diagnosed with PCNSL.Jingjing Wu Fenghua Gao Wenhua Wang Xudong Zhang Meng Dong Lei Zhang Xin Li Ling Li Zhenchang Sun Xinhua Wang Xiaorui Fu Linan Zhu Mengjie Ding Songtao Niu Zhaoming Li Yu Chang Feifei Nan Jiaqian Yan Hui Yu Xiaolong Wu Zhiyuan Zhou Jieming Zhang Mingzhi Zhang 2022Cancer Biology & Medicine2022,19,7:1
6Clamping effect driven design and fabrication of new infrared birefringent materials with large optical anisotropy显示文摘Infrared(IR)birefringent materials with large optical anisotropy and wide transparency range are important for efficient light manipulation in various IR optical devices.Herein,two new IR birefringent materials AMgGeSe_(3)(A=Li,Na)with large optical anisotropy were rationally designed by a rigid octahedron and flexible dimer combined strategy and fabricated in experiment.The introduction of rigid[LiSe_(6)]/[NaSe_(6)]and[MgSe_(6)]octahedra effectively regulates the geometry and arrangement of the flexible[Ge2Se6]dimers,resulting in the birefringence as large as 0.334@1,064 nm in LiMgGeSe_(3) and 0.445@1,064 nm(the largest one in the reported[Ge_(2)Se_(6)]dimer-contained selenides)in NaMgGeSe_(3).Density functional theory(DFT)calculations and statistical analyses highlight the influence of polarizability anisotropy,density,arrangement of units,as well as layer distance on birefringence.The results indicate that AMgGeSe_(3)(A=Li,Na)crystals are the promising IR birefringent materials and it gives an insight into the exploration of new IR birefringent materials with large birefringence based on the clamping effect from rigid groups.Linan Wang Chenchen Tu Hongbo Gao Jiazheng Zhou Hongshan Wang Zhihua Yang Shilie Pan Junjie Li 2023Science China Chemistry2023,66,4:0
7Oxalic acid cross-linked sodium alginate and carboxymethyl chitosan hydrogel membrane for separation of dye/NaCl at high NaCl concentration显示文摘Dye desalination is a challenge in the treatment of textile wastewater with high salt concentration. It is imperative to develop salt resistance membrane that is from sustainable materials to effectively treat dye/salt mixtures. And most polymer membrane materials are non-renewable petrochemical resources.In this paper, a green hydrogel membrane(CMCS-OA-Na Alg) was prepared by non-metallic ions of oxalic acid(OA) cross-linking of two natural macromolecules of sodium alginate(Na Alg) and carboxymethyl chitosan(CMCS). The membrane showed excellent anti-swelling at high salt concentration(swelling rate less than 8.0% in 10.0 wt% Na Cl solution) and good anti-fouling performance. The membrane exhibited a rejection higher than 95.0% for dyes(bright blue, direct black, direct red, and Congo red) and lower than7.0% for Na Cl, which can achieve better dye/Na Cl separation performance. 8B←N-containing azaacenes with propynyl groups on boron atoms显示文摘For organnoboron co mpounds,the substituents on boron atoms are very important because they not only impact on the molecular stability but also significantly modulate the electronic structu res and prope rties.In this manuscript,we synthesized two new B←N-co ntaining azaacenes with propynyl groups on boron atoms through one-step Grignard reaction.Replacing fluorine atoms by propynyl groups greatly impacts on the electronic energy levels,especially enhancing the HOMO levels,thus leading to the narrowed HOMO-LUMO bandgaps.These B←N-containing azaacenes exhibit the NIR light-absorption(λabs=706 nm for 2 a and 762 nm for 2 b)and fluorescence properties(λem=740 nm for 2 a and802 nm for 2 b),as well as multiple reversible redox behaviors,which are significantly different from the analogs with fluorine atoms.This study thus provides a functional substituent of boron atom,which may lead to new organoboron materials with fascinating properties.Linan Li Ying Gao Chuandong Dou Jun Liu 2020Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,5:0
9Relations between the Underground Biomass and Soil Organic Carbon and Nitrogen of the Alpine Meadow at the Eastern Margin of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau显示文摘This article, by combining field investigation with laboratorial analysis, studies diverse alpine meadow at the Eastern Margin of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau for the underground biomass dynamics, vertical distribution of the content of soil carbon and nitrogen, the connection between the biomass and the content of carbon and nitrogen. The studies show that underground biomass in the herb layer of upland meadow is more than that in the terrace meadow, while underground biomass in the upland shrubland is the most.The vertical distribution of underground biomass of each type is obvious as in shape of 'T' . As to the distribution of the content of soil organic carbon in the three sample grounds, it showed that the deeper the soil the less the content of soil organic carbon.In May, unlike at terrace meadow, the underground biomass and the content of soil organic carbon in positive proportion, such revelation at up-land meadow and upland shrubland is not apparent.
