| 2 | Numerical simulation for the coupling effect of local atmospheric circulations over the area of Beijing,Tianjin and Hebei Province显示文摘Using the model system MM5.V3 and multi-layer grid nesting technique, we have done a multi-scale numerical simulation over the area of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei Province to analyze the temperature and wind field there and study its local circulations. The results show a coupling effect of Urban Heat Island Circulation (UHIC), Mountain Valley Breeze (MVB) and Sea Land Breeze (SLB) occurs in this area when the synoptic system is weak. The SLB can penetrate deep into the mainland for about 200 km when it is blooming. MVB can extend to south and cover almost the whole plain area in Beijing. Both MVB and SLB are diurnal periodical; meanwhile the phase of MVB drops behind that of SLB for about six hours. As a local circulation, the UHIC weakens the two circulations above, and it also has a diurnal period. As a result, the coupling effect of circulations reveals not only different features in spring-summer period and autumn-winter period in a year but also the difference between early morn- ing to noonday and afternoon to night in a day. We noted the diffusion of contamination over the area around Beijing, and found the steady presence of a transport routine of contamination over North-China throughout the year caused by the Coupling Effect mentioned above. | 3 | Single whispering-gallery mode lasing in polymer bottle microresonators via spatial pump engineering显示文摘Single-mode lasing in whispering-gallery mode(WGM)microresonators is challenging to achieve.In bottle microresonators,the highly non-degenerated WGMs are spatially well-separated along the long-axis direction and provide mode-selection capability.In this work,by engineering the pump intensity to modify the spatial gain profiles of bottle microresonators,we demonstrate a simple and general approach to realizing single-mode WGM lasing in polymer bottle microresonators.The pump intensity is engineered into an interference distribution on the bottle microresonator surface.By tuning the spacing between axial positions of the interference pump patterns,the mode intensity profiles of single-bottle WGMs can be spatially overlapped with the interference stripes,intrinsically enabling single-mode lasing and selection.Attractive advantages of the system,including high sidemode suppression factors 420 dB,large spectral tunability 48 nm,low-lasing threshold and reversible control,are presented.Our demonstrated approach may have a variety of promising applications,ranging from tunable single-mode lasing and sensing to nonlinear optics. | Fuxing Gu Fuming Xie Xing Lin Shuangyi Linghu Wei Fang Heping Zeng Limin Tong Songlin Zhuang | 2017 | Light(Science & Applications)2017，6，1： | 17 |
| 4 | A comparison of the energy consumption and carbon emissions for different modes of transportation in open-cut coal mines显示文摘Transportation accounts for 80% of open-cut coal mine carbon emissions.With regard to the energy consumption and carbon emissions of transportation within an open-cut mine,this paper systematically compared the work and energy consumption of a truck and belt conveyor on a theoretical basis,and constructed a model to calculate the energy consumption of open-cut mine transportation.Life cycle carbon emission factors and power consumption calculation model were established through a Process Analysis–Life Cycle Analysis(PA–LCA).The following results were obtained:(1) the energy consumption of truck transportation was four to twelve times higher than that of the belt conveyor;(2) the CO2 emissions from truck transportation were three to ten times higher than those of the belt conveyor;(3) with the increase in the slope angle for transportation,the ratio of truck to belt conveyor for both energy consumption and carbon emissions gradually decreased;(4) based on 2013 prices in China,the energy cost of transportation using a belt conveyor in open-cut coal mines could save 0.6–2.4 Yuan/(t km) compared to truck transportation. | Liu Fuming Cai Qingxiang Chen Shuzhao Zhou Wei | 2015 | International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2015，25，2： | 12 |

| 6 | The phylogeny of Orthoptera inferred from mtDNA and description of Elimaea cheni(Tettigoniidae:Phaneropterinae)mitogenome显示文摘The complete 15,831 bp nucleotide sequence of the mitochondrial genome from Elimaea cheni(Phaneropterinae)was determined.The putative initiation codon for cox1 was TTA.The phylogeny of Orthoptera based on different mtDNA datasets were analyzed with maximum likelihood(ML)and Bayesian inference(BI).When all 37 genes(mtDNA)were analyzed simultaneously,the monophyly of Caelifera and Ensifera were recovered in the context of our taxon sampling.The phylogeny of Orthoptera was largely consistent with previous phylogenetic hypotheses.Rhaphidophoridae to be a sister group of Tettigoniidae,and the relationships among four subfamilies of Tettigoniidae were(Phaneropterinae +(Conocephalinae +(Bradyporinae + Tettigoniinae))).Pyrgomorphidae was the most basal group of Caelifera.The relationships among six acridid subfamilies were(Oedipodinae +(Acridinae +(Gomphocerinae +(Oxyinae +(Calliptaminae + Cyrtacanthacridinae))))).However,we did not recover a monophyletic Grylloidea.Myrmecophilidae clustered into one clade with Gryllotalpidae instead of with Gryllidae.ML and BI analyses of all protein coding genes(using all nucleotide sequence data or ex-cluding the third codon position,and amino acid sequences)revealed a topology identical to that of the entire mtDNA genome dataset.However,22 tRNAs genes excluding the DHU loop and TψC loop(TRNA),and two rRNA genes(RRNA)perform poorly when analyzed as single dataset.Our results suggest that the best phylogenetic inferences were ML and BI methods based on total mtDNA.Excluding tRNA genes,rRNA genes and the third codon position of protein coding genes from dataset and converting nucleotide sequences to amino acid sequences do not positively affect phylogenetic reconstruction. | Zhijun Zhou Haiyan Ye Yuan Huang Fuming Shi | 2010 | Journal of Genetics and Genomics2010，37，5： | 10 |

Comparisons between observations and simulations were made over the oasis and the desert/Gobi, respectively. Both cold island effect and wet island ef- fect, the so-called oasis effect, were observed and simulated. Lower temperature, higher specific hu- midity and weaker turbulent transfer were present over the oasis than the desert/Gobi. | 10 | The complete mitogenome of the Chinese bush cricket,Gampsocleis gratiosa(Orthoptera:Tettigonioidea)显示文摘The complete mitochondrial genome (mitogenome) of Gampsocleis gratiosa was determined. The 15,929 bp in the size of G. gratiosa mitogenome contains a typical gene content,base composition,and codon usage found in metazoan. All 13 protein coding genes (PCGs) of the G. gratiosa mitogenome start with a typical ATN codon. The usual termination codons (TAA and TAG) were found from 10 PCGs. However,the atp6,nad4,and nad5 had incomplete termination codon (T). The anticodons of all tRNAs are identical to those observed in Drosophila yakuba and Locusta migratoria,and can be folded in the form of a typical clover leaf structure except for trnS (AGN). The secondary structure of trnS (AGN) was drawn according with the Steinberg-Cedergren tertiary structure. The A+T content (67.4%) of the A+T-rich region is relatively lower among the mitogenome regions,in contrast,it usually contains the highest A+T content for most in-sects. | 11 | Effect of inclusions on the formation of acicular ferrite in Ti-bearing non quenched-and-tempered steel显示文摘Nucleation of acicular ferrite and its influence factors in non quenched-and-tempered steel was studied by using TEM and thermodynamic calculation. The results show that the complex particles with a center made of Ti oxide, Al2O3, and silicate and an outside made of a small quantity of mixture of TiN and MnS are able to act as ferrite nucleation nuclei. The acicular ferrite percent- age changes little with Ti. When the oxygen content was 80 ppm, the volume percentage of acicular ferrite decreased due to an in- crease in allotriomorphic ferrite. | 19 | Mechanical Behavior of Polyurethane Polymer Materials under Triaxial Cyclic Loading:A Particle Flow Code Approach显示文摘Polyurethane polymer grouting materials were studied with conventional triaxial tests via the particle flow code in two dimensions(PFC^(2D)) method, and the simulation results agreed with the experimental data. The particle flow code method can simulate the mechanical properties of the polymer. The triaxial cyclic loading tests of the polymer material under different confining pressures were carried out via PFC^(2D) to analyze its mechanical performance. The PFC^(2D) simulation results show that the value of the elastic modulus of the polymer decreases slowly at first and fluctuated within a narrow range near the value of the peak strength; the cumulative plastic strain increases slowly at first and then increases rapidly; the peak strength and elastic modulus of polymer increase with the confining pressure; the PFC^(2D) method can be used to quantitatively evaluate the damage behavior of the polymer material and estimate the fatigue life of the materials under fatigue load based on the number and the location of micro-cracks. | 20 | Single-mode lasing via loss engineering in fiber-taper-coupled polymer bottle microresonators显示文摘Due to the lack of mode selection capability, single whispering-gallery-mode(WGM) lasing is a challenge to achieve. In bottle microresonators, the highly nondegenerated WGMs are spatially well-separated along the long-axis direction and provide mode selection according to their axial mode numbers. In this work, we use a loss-engineering approach to suppress the higher-order WGMs and demonstrate single-mode lasing emission in small polymer bottle microresonators. The fiber tapers are not only used to couple pump light into the bottle microresonators to excite the WGMs but also to bring optical losses that are induced from the diameter mismatch between fiber tapers and microresonators. By adjusting the coupling positions, the diameters of fiber tapers, and the coupling angles, single fundamental-mode lasing is efficiently generated with side-mode suppression factors over 15 dB.
