| 1 | Performance improvement of optimization solutions by POD-based data mining显示文摘The performance of an optimized aerodynamic shape is further improved by a second-step optimization using the design knowledge discovered by a data mining technique based on Proper Orthogonal Decomposition(POD) in the present study. Data generated in the first-step optimization by using evolution algorithms is saved as the source data, among which the superior data with improved objectives and maintained constraints is chosen. Only the geometry components of the superior data are picked out and used for constructing the snapshots of POD. Geometry characteristics of the superior data illustrated by POD bases are the design knowledge, by which the second-step optimization can be rapidly achieved. The optimization methods are demonstrated by redesigning a transonic compressor rotor blade, NASA Rotor 37, in the study to maximize the peak adiabatic efficiency, while maintaining the total pressure ratio and mass flow rate.Firstly, the blade is redesigned by using a particle swarm optimization method, and the adiabatic efficiency is increased by 1.29%. Then, the second-step optimization is performed by using the design knowledge, and a 0.25% gain on the adiabatic efficiency is obtained. The results are presented and addressed in detail, demonstrating that geometry variations significantly change the pattern and strength of the shock wave in the blade passage. | 4 | Effect of Konjac Food on Blood Glucose Level in Patients with Diabetes显示文摘Seventy-two type II diabetic subjects were given Konjac food for 65 days. The data analyzed by multiple F test indicate that the fasting blood glucose (FBG) and the 2-h postprandial blood glucose (PBG) on the 30th and the 65th days after the food was ingested were significantly reduced (P = 0.001, P < 0.001, respectively), as was the glycosylated hemoglobin level at the end of the trial (P < 0.05). The final FBG and PBG of the subjects with initial FBG-O >200 mg% decreased on the average by 51.8 and 84.6 mg%. respectively; those with FBG-0 150-200 mg% decreased by 24.1 and 68.7 mg%; and those with FBG-O < 150 mg% decreased by 4.8 and 21.4 mg%. No significant changes in blood lipid indexes were observed, except that the triglycer-ide values of subjects with hypertriglyceridemia (>200 mg%) significantly decreased by 118.7 mg%. It was concluded that Konjac food is very useful in the prevention and treatment of hyperglycemia. (C)1990 Academic Press. | 5 | Effects of Diet with 'Lianteng' Additive of Chinese Herbal Medicine on Blood Biochemical Indexes,Immune and Antioxidant Function of Guangxi Sanhuang Chickens显示文摘[Objectives]This trial was conducted to investigate the effects of diet with'Lianteng'additive of Chinese herbal medicine on blood biochemical indexes,immune and antioxidant function of Guangxi Sanhuang chickens.[Methods]480 Guangxi Sanhuang chickens at the age of 1 d were divided into 4 groups randomly and each group was assigned to 6 replicates with 20 chicks in each replicate;groups A,B and C were treatment groups and fed basal diets with 0.1%,0.2%and 0.4%of'Lianteng'additive of Chinese herbal medicine respectively during a trial of 70 d.Group D was control group and fed only basal diet.The serum samples were taken from 6 chicks in each group at the age of 21,35 and 49 d respectively and analyzed for biochemical,immune and antioxidant parameters in serum.[Results]Results from the trial showed that no difference was found in serum content of GLU,TG,TP,TC,and UN in the measurement at the age of 21,35 and 49 d(P>0.05);however,the content of ALB from groups A and B at 35 d was significantly higher than that from group D(P<0.01),and the ALB content from group B at 49 d was also higher than that from group D(P<0.05);the IgM content at 49 d from group A was lower than that from group D(P<0.05),in addition to this,there was no differences found in the contents of IgG,IgM and IFN-y among groups A,B,C and D during the trial(P>0.05);but the content of IL-2 from groups A and B at 49 d was significantly greater than that from group D(P<0.05);T-AOC from groups A,B and C at 49 d was very significantly higher than that from group D(P<0.01),and the one of group B at 35 d was still obviously higher than that of group D(P<0.05);also at 49 d,the GSH content in groups A and B was much greater than that in group D(P<0.01);T-SOD activity of group B and C at 35 d was distinctly greater than that of group D(P<0.05).[Conclusions]It can be concluded that the addition of 0.2%of'Lianteng'additive of Chinese herbal medicine in diet can increase immune function in a certain extent and promote the antioxidant ability observably for Guangxi Sanhuang chickens. | Sicong LUO Wenjie LU Lizhi LU Fulin WANG Qian QIN Cui YANG Jiahuang YANG | 2021 | Medicinal Plant2021,12,1: | 1 |
| 6 | Effect of microlimestone on properties of self-consolidating concrete with manufactured sand and mineral admixture显示文摘Self-consolidating concrete(SCC)with manufactured sand(MSCC)is crucial to guarantee the quality of concrete construction technology and the associated property.The properties of MSCC with different microlimestone powder(MLS)replacements of retreated manufactured sand(TMsand)are investigated in this study.The result indicates that high-performance SCC,made using TMsand(TMSCC),achieved high workability,good mechanical properties,and durability by optimizing MLS content and adding fy ash and silica fume.In particular,the TMSCC with 12%MLS content exhibits the best workability,and the TMSCC with 4%MLS content has the highest strength in the late age,which is even better than that of SCC made with the river sand(R sand).Though MLS content slightly affects the hydration reaction of cement and mainly plays a role in the nucleation process in concrete structures compared to silica fume and fly ash,increasing MLS content can evidently have a significant impact on the early age hydration progress.TMsand with MLS content ranging from 8%to 12%may be a suitable alternative for the Rsand used in the SCC as fine aggregate.The obtained results can be used to promote the application of SCC made with manufactured sand and mineral admixtures for concrete-based infrastructure. | Fulin Qu Wengui Li Xiaohui Zeng Zhiyu Luo Kejin Wang Daichao Sheng | 2020 | Frontiers of Structural and Civil Engineering2020,14,6: | 1 |

| 9 | Unraveling precipitation evolution and strengthening function of the Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloys with various Zn contents:Multiple experiments and integrated internal-state-variable modeling显示文摘Zn content is one of the most concerned factors in the development of next generation ultra-strength Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloys owing to its essential role in precipitation strengthening.In the present work,the underlying functions of Zn content in precipitation evolution and strengthening function of Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloys were systematically investigated by combining multiple experiments and an integrated internalstate-variable model.The experimental results indicated that the increased Zn content in Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloys would promote the development of precipitates and enhance aging hardening.The diffusion flux of soluble Zn and the coordination of Mg atom controlled the crystallographic microstructures evolution during precipitates nucleation,growth and transition processes.By integrating precipitation development with electrical resistivity and hardness evolutions,an improved internal-state-variable physical model was then developed for the aging responses of Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloys.The unified model considered the intrinsic characteristics of precipitates such as crystallographic orientation,morphology,component,and distribution.The specific improvements were to balance the combined functions of Zn element and Mg element and consider the plate-like morphology and directed growth as indicated by experiments.This model was also adaptive to heat-treatment variables and chemical compositions,and owned the notable advantages to simultaneously rationalize the observed microstructural characteristics,mechanical and electrical properties following artificial aging of Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloys.In addition,a preliminary model framework between electrical resistivity and hardness for Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloys was established. | Jie Tang Mingcai Liu Guowei Bo Fulin Jiang Chunhui Luo Jie Teng Dingfa Fu Hui Zhang | 2022 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,21: | 0 |
| 10 | Impact of surface-reflected seismic waves on the seismic isolation performance of circular tunnel isolation layers显示文摘Seismic isolation is an effective strategy to mitigate the risk of seismic damage in tunnels.However,the impact of surface-reflected seismic waves on the effectiveness of tunnel isolation layers remains under explored.In this study,we employ the wave function expansion method to provide analytical solutions for the dynamic responses of linings in an elastic half-space and an infinite elastic space.By comparing the results of the two models,we investigate the seismic isolation effect of tunnel isolation layers induced by reflected seismic waves.Our findings reveal significant differences in the dynamic responses of the lining in the elastic half-space and the infinitely elastic space.Specifically,the dynamic stress concentration factor(DSCF)of the lining in the elastic half-space exhibits periodic fluctuations,influenced by the incident wave frequency and tunnel depth,while the DSCF in the infinitely elastic space remain stable.Overall,the seismic isolation application of the tunnel isolation layer is found to be less affected by surface-reflected seismic waves.Our results provide valuable insights for the design and assessment of the seismic isolation effect of tunnel isolation layers. | LU Jiahui LUO Junjie HUANG Xiangyun HONG Junliang HE YanXin ZHOU Fulin | 2024 | Journal of Mountain Science2024,21,3: | 0 |
| 11 | Study on time-varying seismic vulnerability and analysis of ECC-RC composite piers using high strength reinforcement bars in offshore environment显示文摘As the main seismic component of a bridge,seismic damage to the bridge pier has a greater effect on its subsequent service.In the offshore chloride environment,the issues(e.g.,reinforcement bar corrosion and attenuation of concrete strength)of piers caused by chloride ion seriously curtail the normal service life and deteriorate the anti-seismic property of bridge structures.The engineered cementitious composite(ECC)-reinforced concrete(RC)composite pier with high strength reinforcement bars(HSRB)is expected to solve the above problems.This study aims to clarify the time-varying seismic vulnerability(SV)of the HSRBECC-RC composite pier during its full life cycle(FLC).Based on OpenSees,the refined finite element analysis models of RC pier,ECC-RC composite pier,and HSRBECC-RC composite pier have been established.Moreover,using the nonlinear time-path dynamic analysis method,the influence of chloride ion erosion on the time-dependent seismic vulnerability(SV)of these different piers in different service life and different peak ground acceleration(PGA)were analyzed from a dynamic point of view.The research shows that the exceeding probability(EP)of the same damage level increases with the enhancement of service time and PGA and with the increase of destruction,the exceeding probability(EP)of slight damage(DL-1),moderate damage(DL-2),serious damage(DL-3),and complete collapse(DL-4)decreases in turn;the corrosion degree of chloride ion to piers is small during the early service period,the time-varying vulnerability curve of the bridge piers is almost the same as that of a new bridge,and during later service,as the extent of chloride ion corrosion deepens,exceeding probability(EP)under severe damage(DL-3)and complete collapse(DL-4)is increased,and the seismic performance is significantly enhanced. | Liang Yan Zhao Fulin Luo Jun Chen Pei | 2022 | Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Vibration2022,21,4: | 0 |
| 12 | High-Performance Ru_(2)P Anodic Catalyst for Alkaline Polymer Electrolyte Fuel Cells显示文摘Exploring efficient and economical electrocatalysts and understanding the mechanism for alkaline hydrogen oxidation reaction(HOR)are crucial to facilitate the development of alkaline polymer electrolyte fuel cells(APEFCs).Herein,Ru_(2)P was synthesized and used as an anodic HOR electrocatalyst for APEFC,achieving a peak power density of 1.3 W cm^(−2),the highest value among Pt-free anode electrocatalysts reported under the same conditions.Fromthe density functional theory(DFT)calculations and experimental results,it was found that besides the optimized hydrogen binding energy,the enhanced adsorption strength of oxygenated species(OH*)and the reduced work function of Ru_(2)P contributed to the enhanced HOR performance.The normalized exchange current densities of Ru_(2)P/C were 0.37 mA cm_(ECSA)^(−2) and 0.27 mAμgRu^(−1),respectively,both approximately three times higher than those of Ru when conducted in the rotating disk electrode(RDE)system.Our work provides a new pathway for exploring highly active Pt-free HOR electrocatalysts and expanding the family of anodic electrocatalysts for APEFCs. | Yuanmeng Zhao Fulin Yang Wei Zhang Qihao Li Xuewei Wang Lixin Su Xuemei Hu Yan Wang Zizhun Wang Lin Zhuang Shengli Chen Wei Luo | 2022 | CCS Chemistry2022,4,5: | 0 |
