2A coarse-to-fine image registration method based on visual attention model显示文摘Image registration is fundamental and crucial to remote sensing.However getting highly accurate registration performance automatically and fast for large-field images consistently is a challenge.As a work around to this problem,we propose a new image registration concept based on visual attention in this paper.This concept employs the advantages of feature-based or area-based methods to improve the precision and efficiency of image registration.The key concept of proposed integrated scheme is to make optimum use of the highly prominent details in the full scene by means of visual attention computational mechanism.To testify the validation,comparisons with other classical methods are carried out on real-world images.The experimental results show that the proposed method can effectively perform on multi-view/multi-temporal remote sensing images with outstanding precision and time saving performance.FENG Jing MA Long BI FuKun ZHANG XueJing CHEN He 2014Science China(Information Sciences)2014,57,12:5
3Detection of oil spills in a complex scene of SAR imagery显示文摘We present a method for detecting oil spills in a complex scene of SAR imagery,including segmenting oil spills,and avoiding false alarms.Segmentation is carried out using a multi-time and multi-hierarchical method by dividing the complex sea surface into bright sea and dark sea.Gray-based and edge-based segmentations are done to extract oil spills from bright and dark sea,respectively.The proposed method can extract complete oil spills,obtain better visual results,and increase detection probability more accurately than the traditional method.Based on the surrounding features and the oil spills’features,dark land spots and low contrast dark spots are removed efficiently,thus reducing false alarms.The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm has fast computation speed,high detection accuracy,and is very useful and effective for detecting oil spills in SAR imagery.FENG Jing CHEN He BI FuKun LI JunXia WEI Hang 2014Science China(Technological Sciences)2014,57,11:4

5A Novel Algorithm of Water Region Detection in SAR Image Based on Bag of Visual Words and Local Pattern Histogram显示文摘Water region detection based on SAR images is a difficult problem for its computing complexity.This paper proposes a novel water region detection method in SAR image of complex scenery. The algorithm takes advantages of Bag of visual words(BOV) to precisely describe the homogeneous region in complex scenery. Local pattern histogram(LPH) and single-class Support vector machine(SVM) are adopted to determine the edge information of water region precisely. The feature extraction is calculated block by block, which reduces computing workload and interference from noise. 7Visual attention based model for target detection in large-field images显示文摘It is of great significance to rapidly detect targets in large-field remote sensing images,with limited computation resources.Employing relative achievements of visual attention in perception psychology,this paper proposes a hierarchical attention based model for target detection.Specifically,at the preattention stage,before getting salient regions,a fast computational approach is applied to build a saliency map.After that,the focus of attention(FOA) can be quickly obtained to indicate the salient objects.Then,at the attention stage,under the FOA guidance,the high-level visual features of the region of interest are extracted in parallel.Finally,at the post-attention stage,by integrating these parallel and independent visual attributes,a decision-template based classifier fusion strategy is proposed to discriminate the task-related targets from the other extracted salient objects.For comparison,experiments on ship detection are done for validating the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed model.Lining Gao Fukun Bi Jian Yang 2011Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2011,22,1:1

11Detecting Designated Building Areas From Remote Sensing Images Using Hierarchical Structural Constraints显示文摘Automatic detection of a designated building area(DBA)is a research hotspot in the field of target detection using remote sensing images.Target detection is urgently needed for tasks such as illegal building monitoring,dynamic land use monitoring,antiterrorism efforts,and military reconnaissance.The existing detection methods generally have low efficiency and poor detection accuracy due to the large size and complexity of remote sensing scenes.To address the problems of the current detection methods,this paper presents a DBA detection method that uses hierarchical structural constraints in remote sensing images.Our method was conducted in two main stages.(1)During keypoint generation,we proposed a screening method based on structural pattern descriptors.The local pattern feature of the initial keypoints was described by a multilevel local pattern histogram(MLPH)feature;then,we used one-class support vector machine(OC-SVM)merely to screen those building attribute keypoints.(2)To match the screened keypoints,we proposed a reliable DBA detection method based on matching the local structural similarities of the screened keypoints.We achieved precise keypoint matching by calculating the similarities of the local skeletal structures in the neighboring areas around the roughly matched keypoints to achieve DBA detection.We tested the proposed method on building area sets of different types and at different time phases.The experimental results show that the proposed method is both highly accurate and computationally efficient.Fukun BI Mingyang LEI Zhihua YANG Jinyuan HOU Yanyan QIN 2020Photonic Sensors2020,10,1:0
