1Quantitative assessment of the complexity of geological structures in terms of seismic propagators显示文摘How a wave interacts with heterogeneous media has been pursued by many geophysicists.The complexity of subsurface heterogeneities is seismologically a relative concept to wavelengths of seismic waves.A growing perception is that velocity variations,propagation angles,and computational accuracies are closely related at a variety of scales.A tentative strategy to quantitatively evaluate the complexity of subsurface heterogeneous media is presented in this article to see what scales of geological heterogeneities to be captured by waves.We express complex subsurface structures as the slowness-and angularheterogeneity spectra to quantify velocity contrasts and dipping-angle distributions of complex geological structures.On the other hand,the scaling characteristics of a propagator are measured through dispersion analysis by its angular spectra plotted against refractive indexes and propagation angles,respectively.A parameter termed as imaging efficiency is introduced by associating the geological heterogeneity spectra with the propagator's angular spectra to understand the coherent interference between the medium's heterogeneity and the propagator's scaling characteristics.Furthermore,a complexity coefficient can be defined to evaluate geological complexities in terms of propagators.The application of this strategy is demonstrated to the SEG/EAEG salt model.FU LiYun Key Laboratory of the Earth’s Deep Interior,Institute of Geology and Geophysics,Chinese Academy of Sciences,Beijing 100029,China 2010Science China Earth Sciences2010,53,1:4
2BEM+Born series modeling schemes for wave propagation and their convergence analysis显示文摘This paper formulates two different boundary-element+Born series schemes for wave propagation simulation in multilayered media by incorporating a Born series and boundary integral equations.The first scheme directly decomposes the resulting boundary integral equation matrix into the self-interaction operators associated with each boundary itself and the extrapolation operators expressing cross-interactions between different boundaries in a subregion.For the second scheme,the matrix dimension is firstly reduced to a half by the elimination of the traction field in the equations.The resulting new matrix can also be split into the self-interaction matrices associated each subregion itself and the extrapolation matrices interpreting cross-interactions between different subregions in a whole model.Both the numerical schemes avoid the inversion of the relatively much larger boundary integral equation matrix of a full-waveform BE method and hence save computing time and memory greatly.The two schemes are validated by calculating synthetic seismograms for a homogeneous layered model,compared with the full-waveform BE numerical solution.Numerical experiments indicate that both the BEM+Born series modeling schemes are valid and effective.The tests also confirm that the second modeling scheme has a faster convergence in comparison with the first one.Gengxin Yu Liyun Fu Xizhu Guan 2010Earthquake Science2010,23,2:2
3The protective effect and crucial biological pathways analysis of Trametes lactinea mycelium polysaccharides on acute alcoholic liver injury in mice based on transcriptomics and metabonomics显示文摘Trametes lactinea mycelia polysaccharides(TLMPS)have a wide range of bioactivities.The potential mechanisms of action of TLMPS against acute alcohol-induced liver injury in vivo were investigated by analyzing the physical and chemical properties of TLMPS and its protective effects on a mouse model of alcoholic liver injury.TLMPS protected the liver against alcohol-induced injury,as evidenced by the reduced alcohol-induced elevation of the liver index,serum biochemical indices,and maintenance of hepatic morphology.Potential mechanisms were analyzed using transcriptome and metabolome analyses.The transcriptome data revealed the involvement of many differentially expressed genes in chemical carcinogenesis,drug metabolism,and metabolism of xenobiotics by cytochrome P450.The metabolome analysis revealed that TLMPS significantly regulated specific metabolites in the liver,including organic acids,lipids,nucleosides,and organic oxygen compounds.KEGG enrichment analysis revealed the signifi cant involvement of different metabolites in choline metabolism,ATP-binding cassette transporters,and glycerophospholipid metabolism.Assessment of the changes in gene expression and metabolites revealed the significantly different expression of several genes encoding key enzymes and metabolites in choline metabolism pathway.The collective fi ndings confi rmed that choline metabolism plays an important role in the protective effects of TLMPS against acute alcoholic liver injury.Jinbin Hao Liyun Ye Guoliang Meng Yanjiao Song Junsheng Fu Xiaoping Wu 2021Food Science and Human Wellness2021,10,4:2
4Salt-assisted growth and ultrafast photocarrier dynamics of large-sized monolayer ReSe2显示文摘Owing to its anisotropic optical and electrical properties,rhenium diselenide(ReSe2)has garnered considerable attention recently as a candidate material for polarization-sensitive photodetectors.However,the direct and controllable synthesis of large-sized ReSe2 with a uniform thickness is still a great challenge.Herein,we have refined the synthesis method to obtain uniform monolayer ReSe2 flakes with a size of up to^106μm on sapphire via an ambient-pressure chemical vapor deposition technique using Na promoter from sodium chloride.Interestingly,optical pump-probe spectroscopy revealed a fast switching from saturable absorption(SA)to absorption enhancement(AE)in subpicosecond time scale,followed by a slower decay induced by exciton recombination.Furthermore,both AE and SA signals exhibited clear angular dependence with a periodicity of 180°,which reflected the dichroism in nonlinear absorption dynamics.In addition,the photocarrier dynamics including free-carrier transport and subpicosecond relaxation due to exciton formation or surface trapping was probed using time resolved terahertz spectroscopy.We believe that our study serves as a reference for atomically controlled synthesis of large-sized ReSe2 and provides useful insights on its optoelectronic properties for novel device applications.Shaolong Jiang Jin Yang Yuping Shi Jing Zhao Chunyu Xie Liyun Zhao Jiatian Fu Pengfei Yang Yahuan Huan Qin Xie Huachao Jiang Qing Zhang Xianlong Wang Fuhai Su Yanfeng Zhang 2020Nano Research2020,13,3:2

6High-Efficiency Wastewater Purification System Based on Coupled Photoelectric–Catalytic Action Provided by Triboelectric Nanogenerator显示文摘It is of great importance to explore a creative route to improve the degradation e ciency of organic pollutants in wastewater.Herein,we construct a unique hybrid system by combining self-powered triboelectric nanogenerator(TENG)with carbon dots-TiO_(2)sheets doped three-dimensional graphene oxide photocatalyst(3 DGA@CDs-TNs),which can significantly enhance the degradation e ciency of brilliant green(BG)and direct blue 5 B(DB)owing to the powerful interaction of TENG and 3 DGA@CDs-TNs photocatalyst.The power output of TENG can be applied for wastewater purification directly,which exhibits a selfpowered electrocatalytic technology.Furthermore,the results also verify that TENG can replace conventional electric catalyst to remove pollutants e ectively from wastewater without any consumption.Subsequently,the unstable fragments and the plausible removal pathways of the two pollutants are proposed.Our work sheds light on the development of e cient and sustainable TENG/photocatalyst system,opening up new opportunities and possibilities for comprehensive utilization of random energy.Shen Shen Jiajia Fu Jia Yi Liyun Ma Feifan Sheng Chengyu Li Tingting Wang Chuan Ning Hongbo Wang Kai Dong Zhong Lin Wang 2021Nano-Micro Letters2021,13,12:1

10Analyzing the Effectiveness of Policy Implementation at the Local Level: A Case Study of Management of the 2009–2010 Drought in Yunnan Province, China显示文摘Several research efforts have focused primarily on policy implementation and improving innovative actions to address disaster risks. Discussions are ongoing on how to measure the effectiveness of policy implementation at the local level. But there is no definitive theory of effective policy implementation, and very few frameworks have been found acceptable as the basis of an analysis of the effectiveness of policy implementation, especially on droughts. Based on the 2009–2010 extreme drought in Yunnan, China, this article presents a modified framework to assess the effectiveness of policy implementation by defining policy, practice, and performance, as well as a feedback loop by which to share the lessons learned. Water conservancy projects in Luliang County and the agricultural diversity program in Longyang County in Yunnan Province were analyzed from a farmers' perspective. It was found that farmers are highly dependent on government policies and projects, and the effectiveness of policies is measured by short-term, immediate, and tangible benefits rather than long-term adaptation strategies. 12TGA factors promote plant root growth by modulating redox homeostasis or response显示文摘To identify novel regulators of stem cell renewal,we mined an existing but little explored cell typespecific transcriptome dataset for the Arabidopsis root.A member of the TGA family of transcription factors,TGA8,was found to be specifically expressed in the quiescent center(QC).Mutation in TGA8 caused a subtle root growth phenotype,suggesting functional redundancy with other TGA members.Using a promoter::HGFP transgenic approach,we showed that all TGA factors were expressed in the root,albeit at different levels and with distinct spatial patterns.Mutant analyses revealed that all TGA factors examined contribute to root growth by promoting stem cell renewal,meristem activity,and cell elongation.Combining transcriptome analyses,histochemical assays,and physiological tests,we demonstrated that functional redundancy exists among members of cladesⅡandⅤor those in cladesⅠandⅢ.These two groups of TGA factors act differently,however,as their mutants responded to oxidative stress differently and quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction assays showed they regulate different sets of genes that are involved in redox homeostasis.Our study has thus uncovered a previously unrecognized broad role and a mechanistic explanation for TGA factors in root growth and development.Xiaochen Hu Liyun Yang Mengfei Ren Lin Liu Jing Fu Hongchang Cui 2022Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2022,64,8:1
13Iterative convergence of boundary-volume integral equation method显示文摘The boundary-volume integral equation numerical technique can be a powerful tool for piecewise heterogeneous media,but it is limited to small problems or low frequencies because of great computational cost. Therefore,a restarted GMRES method is applied to solve large-scale boundary-volume scattering problems in this paper to overcome the computational barrier.The iterative method is firstly applied to responses of dimen-sionless frequency to a semicircular alluvial valley filled with sediments,compared with the standard Gaussian elimination method.Then the method is tested by a heterogeneous multilayered model to show its applicability. 14A new seismic daylight imaging method for determining the structure of lithospheric discontinuity显示文摘The fine-scale structures of lithosphere discontinuities contain important information on the dynamics of lithosphere formation, development, transformation, and destruction. In this paper, a new seismic daylight imaging method is developed to explore the small-scale structures of lithosphere discontinuities. This method makes use of the P-wave first arrival and coda in the 0.5–4 Hz high frequency band of teleseismic events, and reaches a resolution of 2 km for lithosphere discontinuities. This method rests on the basic principle that the autocorrelation of the vertically incident transmission response below the seismic station is equivalent to the reflection response with the source and station both on the free surface. The transmission responses include the first-arrival P-waves below the station traversing the discontinuities to reach the free surface, and the multiple reflections between the free surface and the discontinuities. In this study, the normal incidence requirement of the method is further extended to include dip incidence illumination, which expands its applicability. The accuracy and feasibility of the seismic daylight imaging (SDI) theory are verified by synthesized theoretical seismograms, and the factors affecting the imaging results are discussed. The data processing steps and the interpretation criteria for the method are also given. The fine-scale lithosphere structure of two permanent stations at the eastern North China Craton is determined by the method described here, as well as instantaneous frequency. Clear discontinuities are found in the lithospheric mantle at 52 and 75 km below the two stations, respectively. Seismic daylight imaging and the receiver function reveal a more consistent lithosphere structure beneath the MBWA permanent station of the West Australia Craton, with the unmistakable presence of the lithosphere discontinuities.High-frequency SDI can be used to detect the fine-scale lithospheric structures. 15Temporal variations in coda attenuation associated with the 2008 Wenchuan(M_(W)7.9)Earthquake in SW,China显示文摘In this study,waveform data obtained from Western Sichuan Seismic Array(WSSA)in China was utilized to reveal the temporal variations in coda attenuation around the eastern Tibet Plateau and Western Sichuan.Based on the single-scattering model,coda attenuation factor QC^(-1) is calculated in narrower overlapping frequency bands at 1.0-24 Hz by measuring the coda decay rates for local earthquakes before and after the Wenchuan mainshock.The temporal variations in coda attenuation are investigated within three periods.The periodⅠlasted from January 2007 to the end of 2007.The periodⅡlasted from January 2008 till Wenchuan earthquake.The periodⅢlasted from the mainshock to the end of 2008.The resulted temporal variations demonstrate an increase in average QC^(-1) by approximately 35%-45%in the vicinity of Longmenshan and 30%-35%in Sichuan Basin after the Wenchuan earthquake in lower frequency bands within 1.25-8 Hz.On the contrary,the average QC^(-1) is shown to decrease by approximately10%-18%in southern segment of Longmenshan,15%-38%in the Chuan-Dian block,and 10-12%in the South China block.These results are confirmed by a statistical t-test at 99.9%confidence level No statistically significant change in QC^(-1)(<10%)is found in the Songpan-Ganzi block after the mainshock.Temporal variations of coda attenuation differ significantly in individual blocks after the mainshock.The coda attenuation is proposed to be a beacon to tectonic static stress changes associated with the Wenchuan earthquake.Junhua Hu Guoxin Zhang Liyun Fu Yan Zhang Songhui Li 2021Geodesy and Geodynamics2021,12,6:0
16Research on Energy Radiation Characteristics of an Airgun Source Excited in Land Reservoir显示文摘The energy radiation process of an airgun seismic source in land reservoir is studied based on the underwater wavelet data collected in the airgun excitation experiments in Binchuan, Yunnan, China. The empirical formula for calculating the bubble pulsation period and the maximum radius of the underwater airgun seismic source is obtained. 17Human Machine Interface with Wearable Electronics Using Biodegradable Triboelectric Films for Calligraphy Practice and Correction显示文摘Letter handwriting,especially stroke correction,is of great importance for recording languages and expressing and exchanging ideas for individual behavior and the public.In this study,a biodegradable and conductive carboxymethyl chitosan-silk fibroin(CSF)film is prepared to design wearable triboelectric nanogenerator(denoted as CSF-TENG),which outputs of V_(oc)≈165 V,I_(sc)≈1.4μA,and Q_(sc)≈72 mW cm^(−2).Further,in vitro biodegradation of CSF film is performed through trypsin and lysozyme.The results show that trypsin and lysozyme have stable and favorable biodegradation properties,removing 63.1%of CSF film after degrading for 11 days.Further,the CSF-TENG-based human-machine interface(HMI)is designed to promptly track writing steps and access the accuracy of letters,resulting in a straightforward communication media of human and machine.The CSF-TENG-based HMI can automatically recognize and correct three representative letters(F,H,and K),which is benefited by HMI system for data processing and analysis.The CSF-TENG-based HMI can make decisions for the next stroke,highlighting the stroke in advance by replacing it with red,which can be a candidate for calligraphy practice and correction.Finally,various demonstrations are done in real-time to achieve virtual and real-world controls including writing,vehicle movements,and healthcare.Shen Shen Jia Yi Zhongda Sun Zihao Guo Tianyiyi He Liyun Ma Huimin Li Jiajia Fu Chengkuo Lee Zhong Lin Wang 2022Nano-Micro Letters2022,14,12:0
