| 1 | Preparation, characterization, antimicrobial and cytotoxicity studies of copper/zincloaded montmorillonite显示文摘Background: A series of modified montmorillonites(Mt) including zinc-loaded Mt(Zn-Mt), copper-loaded Mt(Cu-Mt), copper/zinc-loaded Mt with different Cu/Zn ratio(Cu/Zn-Mt-1, Cu/Zn-Mt-2, Cu/Zn-Mt-3) were prepared by an ion-exchange reaction, and characterized using X-ray diffraction(XRD), fourier transformed infrared spectroscopy(FTIR) and transmission electron microscopy(TEM). The specific surface areas, antimicrobial activity and cytotoxicity of the modified Mt were investigated. Results: In the modified Mt, hydrated Cu ions and Zn ions were exchanged in the interlayer space of Mt and the particles were irregular shapes. The results showed that Cu/Zn-Mt enhanced antibacterial and antifungal activity compared with Zn-Mt and Cu-Mt possibly due to the synergistic effect between Cu and Zn. Among the Cu/Zn-Mt with different Cu/Zn raitos, Cu/Zn-Mt with a Cu/Zn ratio of 0.98 or 0.51 showed higher antimicrobial activity against gram-negative bacteria(Escherichia coli), gram-positive bacteria(Staphylococcus aureus), fungi(Candida albicans). Moreover, the antimicrobial activity of Cu/Zn-Mt was correlated with its specific surface area. Cytotoxicity studies on IPEC-J2 cell showed a slight cytotoxicity of Cu/Zn-Mt.Conclusions: The current data provide clear evidence that in terms of its antimicrobial activity and relatively low toxicity, the Cu/Zn-Mt holds great promise for applications in animal husbandry. | Lefei Jiao Fanghui Lin Shuting Cao Chunchun Wang Huan Wu Miaoan Shu Caihong Hu | 2017 | Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2017,8,3: | 4 |

| 3 | Effects of inter-layer remelting frequency on the microstructure evolution and mechanical properties of equimolar CoCrFeNiMn high entropy alloys during in-situ powder-bed arc additive manufacturing(PBAAM)process显示文摘An equiatomic CoCrFeNiMn High Entropy Alloy(HEA)was in-situ deposited by the powder-bed arc ad-ditive manufacturing(PBAAM)process for the first time.Comparative research was conducted on the evolution of phase, crystallographic orientation, dislocation morphology, precipitation, and mechanical performance with the accumulation of inter-layer remelting times. The experimental outcomes mani-fested that the PBAAMed CoCrFeNiMn HEA consists of a stable solid-solution FCC structure, with de-creased lattice parameter but slightly increased(full width at half maximum)FWHM as the accumulation of the inter-layer remelting.The{001}<100>cube texture with a weakened texture intensity was de-tected with an increment of inter-layer remelting frequency from once to 5 times, yet it was transformed into{011}<100>Goss texture with a further increase to 7 times.Additionally, the mean grain diameter distinctly decreased, while the volume fraction of(low angle grain boundaries)LAGBs and dislocation density remarkably added up as the accumulated inter-layer remelts.Predominant cellular substructure generated in all process conditions and could be easily differentiated by elemental segregation. Both theσand M 23 C 6 Cr-rich precipitates in nano-scale and submicron MnS precipitate were detected on the grain boundaries of the PBAAMed deposited components, with a rather sparse distribution.Speaking of mechanical performance, the YS,UTS,and hardening rate are generally increased while the UE is grad-ually decreased as increased inter-layer remelting times. The studied PBAAMed CoCrFeNiMn HEA pos-sesses comparable mechanical performances with the counterparts of laser-deposited and as-cast ones. The strengthening mechanisms of the studied material are predominantly the grain boundary strength-ening and dislocation strengthening. This investigation would be a valuable resource in the research field of fabricating HEA alloys with acceptable microstructure and properties using the PBAAM method. | Jun Wang Yao Lu Fanghui Jia Wenzhen Xia Fei Lin Jian Han Ruichao Wang Zengxi Pan Huijun Li Zhengyi Jiang | 2022 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,18: | 0 |
| 4 | Novel water-based nanolubricant with superior tribological performance in hot steel rolling显示文摘Novel water-based nanolubricants using TiO2 nanoparticles(NPs)were synthesised by adding sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate(SDBS)and glycerol, which exhibited excellent dispersion stability and wettability. The tribological performance of the synthesised nanolubricants was investigated using an Rtec ball-on-disk tribometer, and their application in hot steel rolling was evaluated on a 2-high Hille 100 experimental rolling mill,in comparison to those without SDBS.The water-based nanolubricant containing 4 wt%TiO2 and 0.4 wt%SDBS demonstrated superior tribological performance by decreasing coefficient of friction and ball wear up to 70.5%and 84.3%,respectively,compared to those of pure water. In addition to the lubrication effect, the suspensions also had significant effect on polishing of the work roll surface. The resultant surface improvement thus enabled the decrease in rolling force up to 8.3%under a workpiece reduction of 30%at a rolling temperature of 850◦C.The lubrication mechanisms were primarily ascribed to the formation of lubricating film and ball-bearing effect of the TiO2 NPs. | Hui Wu Fanghui Jia Zhou Li Fei Lin Mingshuai Huo Shuiquan Huang Sepidar Sayyar Sihai Jiao Han Huang Zhengyi Jiang | 2020 | International Journal of Extreme Manufacturing2020,2,2: | 0 |
