| 2 | Microstructure and Thermal Conductivity of As-Cast and As-Solutionized Mg–Rare Earth Binary Alloys显示文摘The microstructure and thermal conductivity of four groups of Mg–rare earth(RE) binary alloys(Mg–Ce,Mg–Nd, Mg–Y and Mg–Gd) in as-cast and as-solutionized states were systematically studied. Thermal conductivity was measured on a Netzsch LFA457 using laser flash method at room temperature. Results indicated that for as-cast alloys, the volume fraction of second phases increased with the increase of alloying elements. After solutionizing treatment, a part or most of second phases were dissolved in α-Mg matrix, except for Mg–Ce alloys. The thermal conductivity of as-cast and as-solutionized Mg–RE alloys decreased with the increase of concentrations. The thermal conductivity of as-solutionized Mg–Nd,Mg–Y and Mg–Gd alloys was lower than that of as-cast alloys. Thermal conductivity of as-solutionized Mg–Ce alloys was higher than that of as-cast alloys, because of the elimination of lattice defects and fine dispersed particles during solutionizing treatment. Different RE elements have different influences on the thermal conductivity of Mg alloys in the following order: Ce < Nd < Y < Gd. Ce has the minimum effect on thermal conductivity of Mg alloys, because of the very low solubility of Ce in the α-Mg matrix. | 4 | Effects of Different Stretching Routes on Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of AZ31B Magnesium Alloy Sheets显示文摘AZ31B magnesium alloy sheets were stretched by 13% along three different routes: the extrusion direction(Route A), 45° to the extrusion direction(Route B) and the transverse direction(Route C), and then were annealed at 350 °C for 60 min. The microstructure and texture, tensile mechanical properties and formability were investigated at room temperature. The results indicated that all the three stretched samples exhibited weakened basal texture, compared with the as-received sheet due to static recrystallization.By comparison, Route B processed sample showed the most dispersive basal texture, while Route A processed specimen exhibited the lowest basal intensity. Improved mechanical properties for the stretched and annealed sheets with different stretching routes were achieved. | 5 | DNA methylation-based subclassification of psoriasis in the Chinese Han population显示文摘Psoriasis (Ps)is an inflammatory skin disease caused by genetic and environmental factors.Previous studies on DNA methylation (DNAm)found genetic markers that are closely associated with Ps,and evidence has shown that DNAm mediates genetic risk in Ps.In this study,Consensus Clustering was used to analyze DNAm data,and 114Ps patients were divided into three subclassifications.Investigation of the clinical characteristics and copy number variations (CNVs)of DEFB4,IL22,and LCE3C in the three subclassifications revealed no significant differences in gender ratio and in Ps area and severity index (PASI)score.The proportion of late-onset (≥40 years)Ps patients was significantly higher in type I than in types H and III (P =0.035).Type III contained the smallest proportion of smokers and the largest proportion of non-smoking Ps patients (P =0.086).The CNVs of DEFB4and LCE3C showed no significant differences but the CNV oflL22significantly differed among the three subelassifications (P =0.044).This study is the first to profile Ps subclassifications based on DNAm data in the Chinese Han population.These results are useful in the treatment and management of Ps from the molecular and genetic perspectives. | Fusheng Zhou Changbing Shen Yi-Hsiang Hsu Jing Gao Jinfa Dou Randy KO Xiaodong Zheng Liangdan Sun Yong Cui Xuejun Zhang | 2018 | Frontiers of Medicine2018,12,6: | 3 |
| 6 | Dahuang Fuzi decoction reduces inflammation levels and alleviates intestinal mucosal barrier damage in septic rats显示文摘Objective:To investigate the protective effect of Dahuang Fuzi Decoction(DHFZD),a traditional Chinese prescription,at alleviating sepsis-induced inflammation and gut barrier damage in rats.Methods:Forty clean-grade male Sprague-Dawley rats were divided randomly into three groups:normal control group(NCG,n?10),model control group(MCG,n?15)and DHFZD-treated group(DHFZDG,n?15).NCG rats were sham operated on and used as the controls,whereas MCG and DHFZDG rats were used to replicate the rat sepsis model using cecal ligation and puncture(CLP).The DHFZDG rats received DHFZD by gavage(4.5 mg/g of body weight)2 h prior to CLP and after its successful induction,while the NCG and MCG rats received equivalent amounts of sterilized water by gavage.All rat groups were starved and had free access to water.At 24 h post-experimental set up,the mortality of rats in each group was recorded,and peritoneal inflammation assessment and pathological changes related to the intestinal mucosal injury index(IMII)in the surviving rats were evaluated.D-lactic acid,tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-a,interleukin(IL)-6 and IL-10 peripheral blood concentrations,along with secretory immunoglobulin A(sIgA)in the intestinal mucosa were evaluated by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays.Gut microbes were detected using 16S rRNA gene sequencing.Results:DHFZD reduced sepsis-related mortality in the rats.Moreover,it alleviated peritoneal inflammation and pathological changes according to the IMII.DHFZD reduced serum procalcitonin,TNF-a and IL-6 concentrations,but not the IL-10 concentration.It also reduced serum D-lactic acid and increased sIgA concentrations in intestinal mucosa.Notably,DHFZDG restored gut microbiota diversity and regulated the decrease in Bacteroidetes induced by sepsis,compared with the MCG rats.Conclusion:DHFZDG may play a protective role in sepsis by alleviating sepsis-induced inflammation and gut barrier damage in rats. | Fusheng Liu Chunyue Yu Jin Liu Nadia Johnson Yin Zhang Zeqi Su Chenchen Sun Xia Ding | 2020 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2020,7,1: | 3 |
| 7 | Olfactory and gustatory dysfunctions of COVID-19 patients in China:A multicenter study显示文摘Introduction:With the spread of the epidemic worldwide,an increasing number of doctors abroad have observed the following atypical symptoms of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19):olfactory or taste disorders.Therefore,clarifying the incidence and clinical characteristics of olfactory and taste disorders in Chinese COVID-19 patients is of great significance and urgency.Materials and Methods:A retrospective study was conducted,which included 229 severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 confirmed patients,through face-to-face interviews and telephone follow-up.Following the completion of questionnaires,the patients participating in the study,were categorized according to the degree of olfactory and taste disorders experienced,and the proportion of each clinical type of patient with olfactory and taste disorders and the time when symptoms appeared were recorded.Results:Among the 229 patients,31(13.54%)had olfactory dysfunction,and 44(19.21%)had gustatory dysfunction.For the patients with olfactory dysfunction,6(19.35%)developed severe disease and became critically ill.Olfactory dysfunction appeared before the other symptoms in 21.43%of cases.The proportion of females with olfactory and gustatory dysfunction was higher than that of males(P<0.001).Conclusions:The incidence of olfactory and gustatory dysfunction was much lower than that reported abroad;the prognosis of patients with olfactory dysfunction is relatively favorable;olfactory and gustatory dysfunction can be used as a sign for early screening;females are more prone to olfactory and gustatory dysfunction. | Jianhui Li Yi Sun Enqiang Qin Hu Yuan Mingbo Liu Wenqi Yi Zhu Chen Chengcheng Huang Fengjie Zhou Ruiyao Chen Leibo Zhang Ning Yu Qiong Liu Xuejun Zhou Jingjing He Boyu Li Fusheng Wang Changliang Yang Shiming Yang | 2022 | World Journal of Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery2022,8,4: | 2 |
