1The Effect of Land Use Change on Soil and Water Quality in Northern Iran显示文摘Rapid urbanization has led to extensive land-use changes,particularly in developing countries.This research is aimed to investigate the role of land use and its effect on soil and water quality in Ziarat watershed focusing on four land uses:forest,pasture,cultivated and urban development.Soil samples were taken from a depth of 0-30 cm on each land use and were analyzed by completely randomized split-plot design in two geographical directions.Results showed that bulk density(BD),electrical conductivity(EC),pH,calcium carbonate equivalent(CCE),and soil particle density(DS) of the soil samples in pastures,cultivated and urban areas increased and the mean weight diameter(MWD),soil porosity(F),organic carbons(OC),total nitrogen(TN),exchangeable cations(Ca 2+,Mg 2+,K +,Na +),cation exchange capacity(CEC) and soil microbial respirations(SMR) decreased,respectively in comparison with the forest soils.For water quality evaluations,sodium adsorption ratio(SAR),electrical conductivity(EC),pH,total dissolved solids(TDS),bicarbonate(HCO 3),chloride(Cl),total hardness(TH),calcium(Ca 2+),potassium(K +),sodium(Na +) and magnesium(Mg 2+) were investigated in two areas:Nahrkhoran and Abgir stations.Results showed that the concentration of TDS,EC and HCO 3 in Naharkhoran station is higher than that in Abgir station.On the other hand,the concentration of TDS,EC and HCO 3 in Abgir station are the relatively higher due to its location.Total hardness had the same trend during the study years except in the last three years;however,TH showed an increase of 25% TH in Naharkhoran for the last two years.Cl,K + and SAR in Naharkhoran station increased by 61%,22%,78% and 56% respectively,in comparison with Abgir station.This study demonstrated that the trend of soil degradation and mismanagement of land use may increase the frequency of urban floods and human health problems.KHALEDIAN Yones KIANI Farshad EBRAHIMI Sohaila 2012Journal of Mountain Science2012,9,6:7

3Decellularized peripheral nerve grafts by a modified protocol for repair of rat sciatic nerve injury显示文摘Studies have shown that acellular nerve xenografts do not require immunosuppression and use of acellular nerve xenografts for repair of peripheral nerve injury is safe and effective.However,there is currently no widely accepted standard chemical decellularization method.The purpose of this study is to investigate the efficiency of bovine-derived nerves decellularized by the modified Hudson’s protocol in the repair of rat sciatic nerve injury.In the modified Hudson’s protocol,Triton X-200 was replaced by Triton X-100,and DNase and RNase were used to prepare accelular nerve xenografts.The efficiency of bovine-derived nerves decellularized by the modified Hudson’s protocol was tested in vitro by hematoxylin&eosin,Alcian blue,Masson’s trichrome,and Luxol fast blue staining,immunohistochemistry,and biochemical assays.The decellularization approach excluded cells,myelin,and axons of nerve xenografts,without affecting the organization of nerve xenografts.The decellularized nerve xenograft was used to bridge a 7 mm-long sciatic nerve defect to evaluate its efficiency in the repair of peripheral nerve injury.At 8 weeks after transplantation,sciatic function index in rats subjected to transplantation of acellular nerve xenograft was similar to that in rats undergoing transplantation of nerve allograft.Morphological analysis revealed that there were a large amount of regenerated myelinated axons in acellular nerve xenograft;the number of Schwann cells in the acellular nerve xenograft was similar to that in the nerve allograft.These findings suggest that acellular nerve xenografts prepared by the modified Hudson’s protocol can be used for repair of peripheral nerve injury.This study was approved by the Research Ethics Committee,Research and Technology Chancellor of Guilan University of Medical Sciences,Iran(approval No.IR.GUMS.REC.1395.332)on February 11,2017.Arash Zaminy Sara Sayad-Fathi Farshad Moharrami Kasmaie Zohreh Jahromi Adib Zendedel 2021Neural Regeneration Research2021,16,6:6
4Processing of AM60 magnesium alloy by hydrostatic cyclic expansion extrusion at elevated temperature as a new severe plastic deformation method显示文摘Hydrostatic cyclic expansion extrusion(HCEE) process at elevated temperatures is proposed as a method for processing less deformable materials such as magnesium and for producing long ultrafine-grained rods. In the HCEE process at elevated temperatures, high-pressure molten linear low-density polyethylene(LLDPE) was used as a fluid to eliminate frictional forces. To study the capability of the process,AM60 magnesium rods were processed and the properties were investigated. The mechanical properties were found to improve significantly after the HCEE process. The yield and ultimate strengths increased from initial values of 138 and 221 MPa to 212 and 317 MPa, respectively.Moreover, the elongation was enhanced due to the refined grains and the existence of high hydrostatic pressure. Furthermore, the microhardness was increased from HV 55.0 to HV 72.5. The microstructural analysis revealed that ultrafine-grained structure could be produced by the HCEE process. Moreover, the size of the particles decreased, and these particles thoroughly scattered between the grains. 5Investigation of ex-vessel core catcher for SBO accident in VVER-1000/V528 containment using MELCOR code显示文摘To mitigate consequences of core melting,an ex-vessel core catcher is investigated in this study.Instructions should be obeyed to cool down the corium caused by core melting.The corium destroys the reactor containment and causes radioactive materials to be released into the environment if it does not cool down well.It is important to build a core catcher system for the reception,localization,and cool down of the molten corium during a severe accident resulting from core melting.In this study,the role of a core catcher in the VVER-1000/v528 reactor containment during a station black out(SBO)accident is evaluated using the MELCOR1.8.6 code.In addition,parametric analyses of the SBO for(i)SBO accidents with emergency core cooling system(ECCS)operation,and(ii)without ECCS operation are performed.Furthermore,thermal–hydraulic analyses in dry and wet cavities with/without water are conducted.The investigations include the reduction of gases resulting from molten–corium–concrete interactions(H_(2),CO,CO_(2)).Core melting,gas production,and the pressure/temperature in the reactor containment are assessed.Additionally,a full investigation pertaining to gas release(H_(2),CO,CO_(2))and the pressure/temperature of the core catcher is performed.Based on MELCOR simulations,a core cavity and a perimeter water channel are the best options for corium cooling and a lower radionuclide release.This simulation is also theoretically investigated and discussed herein.The simulation results show that the core catcher system in addition to an internal sacrificial material reduces the containment pressure from 689 to 580 kPa and the corresponding temperature from 394 to 380 K.Furthermore,it is observed that the amount of gases produced,particularly hydrogen,decreased from 1698 to 1235 kg.Moreover,the presence of supporting systems,including an ECCS with a core catcher,prolonged the core melting time from 16,430 to 28,630 s(in an SBO accident)and significantly decreased the gases produced.Farhad Salari Ataollah Rabiee Farshad Faghihi 2021Nuclear Science and Techniques2021,32,4:4
6加工工艺对饲料营养物质组成、消化率和抗营养因子等指标的影响显示文摘本文阐述了饲料生产过程中机械加工和湿热加工对家禽和猪的饲料的物理性状、化学组成以及淀粉与蛋白质的消化率的影响。饲料粒径的减小会导致家禽的肌胃发育不良,也会造成猪发生胃溃疡,这与细粉碎带来的后果相一致,也是制粒、膨胀和膨化等湿热加工产生的常见后果。不溶性纤维具有高耐磨性,在饲料中添加含有此类纤维的结构性饲料成分,可能会部分抵消用上述加工工艺生产的饲料对猪和家禽造成的不良影响。对家禽和猪的饲料进行湿热加工可以改善饲料的卫生状况,减少饲料的浪费,增加动物的采食量,减少动物采食时的能量消耗,并且还可能会减少饲料中过敏原蛋白和抗营养因子的含量。对饲料进行湿热加工会影响家禽对日粮淀粉的回肠消化率,但有利于猪对日粮淀粉的回肠消化率。与目前业界普遍认同的观点相反,湿热加工对饲料中蛋白质的化学和物理性质及其消化率的直接影响可以忽略不计,即使有影响,也不一定会提高日粮蛋白质的消化率。然而,强度更大的湿热加工,即膨胀加工和膨化加工,可以减少饲料原料中抗营养因子的含量,进而提高家禽和猪日粮蛋白质和氨基酸的消化率。Jürgen Zentek Farshad Goodarzi Boroojeni 韩浩月(译) 孟祥光(校) 张配配(审) 韩浩月(制表) 2021国外畜牧学(猪与禽)2021,41,6:3
7Overcoming seed dormancy of mooseer(Allium hirtifolium) through cold stratification,gibberellic acid,and acid scarification显示文摘Mooseer(Allium hirtifolium Boiss.) is bulbous perennial herb widely used in pharmaceutical and food industry in Iran.We studied germination of mooseer seeds in two separate experiments.In the first experiment,we evaluated four treatments:sulfuric acid scarification,sandpaper scarification,cold stratification,and gibberellic acid(GA 3) application.In the second experiment,we evaluated combinations of these treatments.All treatments in the first experiment had no effect on seed germination,suggesting that mooseer seeds have physical and physiological dormancy.In the second experiment,the highest germination percentage(86.6%) was observed after five minutes scarification with sulfuric acid(75% v/v),followed by 60 days of cold stratification.Duration of sulfuric acid scarification(5,10,and 20 min) did not affect germination rates,but increasing duration of cold stratification(from 15 to 60 days),increased germination from 28.3% to 86.6%.Our study showed that mooseer seeds have both physical and physiological dormancy.Farshad Dashti Hojat Ghahremani-Majd Mahmood Esna-Ashari 2012Journal of Forestry Research2012,23,4:3
8SiC含量对Al/SiC纳米复合材料干滑动磨损、腐蚀以及腐蚀磨损行为的影响(英文)显示文摘纳米复合材料的腐蚀、腐蚀磨损以及干摩擦磨损行为非常复杂,受化学、物理和机械等多方面因素影响。采用机械球磨、冷压和热挤压技术制备Al/SiC纳米复合材料,研究纳米SiC含量对材料硬度、干滑动磨损、腐蚀和腐蚀磨损行为的影响。采用电化学极化测试研究了复合材料在3%NaCl溶液中的抗腐蚀性能。采用盘-销装置研究了复合材料的干滑动磨损和在3%NaCl溶液中腐蚀磨损性能。利用扫描电子显微镜研究了材料及磨损表面的显微组织。结果表明,随着SiC含量的增加,纳米复合材料的干滑动摩擦和抗腐蚀性能均得到提高。由于溶液的润滑作用,使材料软化的摩擦因数和摩擦生热均降低。与基体合金相比,纳米复合材料的强度和抗腐蚀性能提高,因此其抗腐蚀磨损性能也提高。对于未增强的基体合金,其磨损机理为黏着磨损,而对于Al/SiC纳米复合材料,磨损机理转变为磨粒磨损。Sareh MOSLEH-SHIRAZI Farshad AKHLAGHI Dong-yang LI 2016Transactions of Nonferrous Metals Society of China2016,26,7:3
9Studying the physiological and yield responses of sunflower inbred lines to full and limited irrigation显示文摘In order to study the physiological and yield responses of sunflower inbred lines to full and limited irrigation, an experiment was conducted in the growing season of 2014–2015 in the research field of the Agricultural Research Station in Khoi, Iran. Water withholding was imposed in the flowering stages from R4 (initial flowering) to R6 (full flowering). The results showed that the main effect of irrigation and inbred lines and the interaction effect between irrigation and inbred lines in terms of the proline and protein contents, the catalase, peroxidase, and polyphenol oxidase activities, and seed yield in all inbred lines, and relative water content(RWC) were significant at 1% level. Water withholding in the flowering stage increased the proline content and the catalase, peroxidase, and polyphenol oxidase activities, whereas limited irrigation decreased the protein content and seed yield in all inbred lines and RWC. The lowest protein content and the highest catalase, peroxidase, and polyphenol oxidase activities were observed in BGK 39 under limited irrigation condition, while BGK 37 revealed the highest proline content in such circumstances. The highest seed yield was seen in BGK 1 and BGK 375 in full irrigation condition. 10Metformin alleviates cholestasis-associated nephropathy through regulating oxidative stress and mitochondrial function显示文摘Background and aim:Cholestasis-associated renal injury or cholemic nephropathy(CN)is a serious clinical problem.Previous studies mentioned that oxidative stress and mitochondrial impairment play a role in CN.There is no specific pharmacological intervention for CN.Metformin is an anti-diabetic drug administered for decades.On the other hand,novel pharmacological properties have emerged for this drug.The effect of metformin on oxidative stress parameters has been well-recognized in different experimental models.It has also been found that metformin positively affected mitochondrial function.The current study aimed to evaluate the effects of metformin in an animal model of CN.Methods:Rats underwent bile duct ligation(BDL)and were treated with metformin(250 and 500 mg/kg)for 14 consecutive days.Two weeks after the BDL operations,urine,serum,and kidney samples were collected and analyzed.Results:Markers of oxidative stress,including reactive oxygen species(ROS)formation,lipid peroxida-tion,protein carbonylation,depleted antioxidant capacity,and decreased glutathione(GSH)levels were detected in BDL animals.Moreover,mitochondrial indices,including adenosine triphosphate(ATP)level,dehydrogenase activity,mitochondrial membrane potential,and mitochondrial permeability,were impaired in the kidney of cholestatic rats.Renal histopathological alterations in cholestatic animals included tubular degeneration and interstitial inflammation,cast formation,and fibrosis.It was found that metformin significantly alleviated oxidative stress and improved mitochondrial indices in the kidney of cholestatic rats.Tissue histopathological alterations were also mitigated in metformin-treated groups.Conclusions:Metformin could be a candidate for managing CN.The nephroprotective role of metformin is primarily associated with its effects on oxidative stress parameters and mitochondrial function.Mohammad Mehdi Ommati Hamidreza Mohammadi Khadijeh Mousavi Negar Azarpira Omid Farshad Reyhaneh Dehghani Asma Najibi Sedigheh Kamran Hossein Niknahad Reza Heidari 2021Liver Research2021,5,3:3

13Spatial Variability of Soil Organic Carbon in Different Hillslope Positions in Toshan Area, Golestan Province, Iran: Geostatistical Approaches显示文摘Accessibility to organic carbon(OC) budget is required for sustainable agricultural development and ecosystem preservation and restoration. Using geostatistical models to describe and demonstrate the spatial variability of soil organic carbon(SOC) will lead to a greater understanding of this dynamics. The aim of this paper is to present the relationships between the spatial variability of SOC and the topographic features by using geostatistical methods on a loess mountain-slope in Toshan region, Golestan Province, northern Iran. Hence, 234 soil samples were collected in a regular grid that covered different parts of the slope. The results showed that such factors as silt, clay, saturated moisture content, mean weighted diameter(MWD) and bulk density were all correlated to the OC content in different slope positions, and the spatial variability of SOC more to slope positions and elevations. The coefficient of variation(CV) indicated that the variability of SOC was moderate in different slope positions and for the mountain-slope as a whole. However, the higher variability of SOC(CV = 45.6%) was shown in the back-slope positions. Also, the ordinary cokriging method for clay as covariant gave better results in evaluating SOC for the whole slope with the RMSE value 0.2552 in comparison with the kriging and the inverse distance weighted(IDW) methods. The interpolation map of OC for the slope under investigation showed lowering SOC concentrations versus increasing elevation and slope gradient. 14Evaluation of soil erodibility factor(k)for loess derived landforms of Kechik watershed in Golestan Province,North of Iran显示文摘The technique proposed by Wischmeier & Smith for estimating the soil erodibility factor is among the most important methods in this regard.Given the high amounts of silt and lime content in loess soils of eastern parts of Golestan province in Iran,this study aims to evaluate the ability of Wischmeier & Smith index to estimate the soil erodibility of this region.Soil erodibility was first obtained by Wischmeier nomograph and then was compared with the actual values obtained by selecting six plots and then performing physical and chemical tests on these samples.Using the nomograph,Wischmeier index was calculated to be about.0.5-0.092 Mg h MJ-1 mm-1.The results showed that Wischmeier index was 182,4.11,6 and 0.35 times than actual value in field with half-hour rainfall,Fournier index,SWAT value with half-hour rainfall and SWAT value with Fournier index,respectively.Obtained results showed that erodibility estimated by Wischmeier & Smith index was higher than the actual measured value.Poor performance of this index in loess soils indicates the need for further research in this field.Farshad KIANI Aboutaleb GHEZELSEFLO 2016Journal of Mountain Science2016,13,11:2
15Effect of capsular tension ring implantation on predicted refractive error after cataract surgery in patients with pseudoexfoliation syndrome显示文摘AIM: To investigate the effect of capsular tension ring(CTR) implantation on predicted refractive error after cataract surgery in patients with pseudoexfoliation(PEX) syndrome.METHODS: This double-blind randomized clinical trial was conducted on 60 patients with PEX syndrome referring to Imam Khomeini Hospital affiliated to Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences, Ahvaz, Iran, for undergoing cataract surgery. The study population was divided into two groups, namely CTR group(n=30) and non-CTR group(control group;n=30). The refractive error and anterior chamber depth(ACD) were measured 1 wk, 1 mo, and 3 mo after phacoemulsification(PE) surgery.RESULTS: The results indicated no statistically significant difference between the two groups in terms of predicted refractive error(obtained by subtracting preoperative predicted refractive error from actual postoperative refractive error) 1 wk(P=0.47), 1 mo(P=0.30), and 3 mo(P=0.06) after the PE surgery. Regarding the CTR group, the changes of ACD was statistically significant 1 and 3 mo after the PE surgery, compared to those obtained 1 wk post-surgery(P=0.005).CONCLUSION: The CTR implantation in PEX cataractous patients without zonulysis has no statistically significant effect on the predicted refraction and ACD changes after PE. The predicted refraction error has a hyperopic shift in both groups. 19Study of reservoir properties and operational parameters influencing in the steam assisted gravity drainage process in heavy oil reservoirs by numerical simulation显示文摘This study was originally aimed at suggesting a two-dimensional program for the Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage(SAGD)process based on the correlations proposed by Heidari and Pooladi,using the MATLAB software.In fact,the work presented by Chung and Butler was used as the basis for this study.Since the steam chamber development process and the SAGD production performance are functions of reservoir properties and operational parameters,the new model is capable of analyzing the effects of parameters such as height variation at constant length,length variation at constant height,permeability variation,thermal diffusivity coefficient variation and well location on the production rate and the oil recovery among which,the most important one is the thermal diffusivity coefficient analysis.To investigate the accuracy and authenticity of the model outcomes,they were compared with the results obtained by Chung and Butler.The privilege of this method over that proposed by Heidari and Pooladi lies in its ability to investigate the effect of thermal diffusivity coefficient on recovery and analyzing the effect of temperature distribution changes on thickness diffusivity.Based on the observations,results reveal that the proposed model gives more accurate predictions compared to the old model proposed by Chung&Butler.Farshad Dianatnasab Mohammad Nikookar Seyednooroldin Hosseini Morteza Sabeti 2016Petroleum2016,2,3:2
