1基于机器视觉的玉米植株数量获取方法与试验显示文摘获得田间的玉米植株数量对于优化不同玉米品种的种植密度有重要意义,玉米植株数量也是计算新玉米品种平均每株产量的重要参数。为了减轻人工获得玉米植株数量的劳动强度,提高数据的准确率,该文利用基于机器视觉的图像处理技术来获得玉米植株数量。被留高茬玉米收获机作业之后的地块,有一定高度的玉米秸秆站立在地表,摄录这样的图像信息可以大大简化图像处理的难度,提高结果的精确度,所以将图像采集装置安装在留高茬玉米收获机之后来获得视频流。后处理过程中,将视频文件分解为图片文件,然后将真彩色的RGB图片文件转化成灰度图像进行图片的配准,再将灰度图像转化为二值图像进行图像分割与边界提取,最后找到玉米秸秆断面的几何中心并进行标记,统计标记结果即获得玉米植株数量。试验结果显示,人工播种与机械播种在图像识别的误差上没有显著差异(P>0.05);机器视觉识别出来的玉米植株数量与实际数量也没有显著差异(P>0.05),其平均误差为6.7%;并且该误差不会随着图像中玉米植株数量的增加而产生积累。该文的设计可以降低机器视觉在识别玉米植株数量过程中的难度,提高图像识别的准确度,更好地服务生产实际问题。贾洪雷 王刚 郭明卓 Dylan Shah 姜鑫铭 赵佳乐 2015农业工程学报2015,31,3:27

8Emerging vaccine nanotechnology: From defense against infection to sniping cancer显示文摘Looking retrospectively at the development of humanity, vaccination is an unprecedented medical landmark that saves lives by harnessing the human immune system. During the ongoing coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19) pandemic, vaccination is still the most effective defense modality. The successful clinical application of the lipid nanoparticle-based Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna mRNA COVID-19 vaccines highlights promising future of nanotechnology in vaccine development. Compared with conventional vaccines, nanovaccines are supposed to have advantages in lymph node accumulation,antigen assembly, and antigen presentation;they also have, unique pathogen biomimicry properties because of well-organized combination of multiple immune factors. Beyond infectious diseases, vaccine nanotechnology also exhibits considerable potential for cancer treatment. 10Lateral patellofemoral ligament reconstruction to restore functional capacity in patients previously undergoing lateral retinacular release显示文摘AIM: To study patient outcomes after surgical correction for iatrogenic patellar instability.METHODS: This retrospective study looked at 17 patients(19 knees) suffering from disabling medial patellar instability following lateral release surgery. All patients underwent lateral patellofemoral ligament(LPFL) reconstruction by a single surgeon. Assessments in all 19 cases included functional outcome scores, range of motion, and assessment for the presence of apprehension sign of the patella to determine if LPFL reconstruction surgery was successful at restoring patellofemoral stability.RESULTS: No patients reported any residual postoperative symptoms of patellar instability. Also no patients demonstrated medial patellar apprehension or examiner induced subluxation with the medial instability test described earlier following LPFL reconstruction. Furthermore, all patients recovered normal range of motion compared to the contralateral limb. For patients with pre and postoperative outcome scores, the mean overall knee injury and osteoarthritis outcome score increased significantly, from 34.39 preoperatively(range: 7.7-70.12) to 69.54 postoperatively(range:26.82-91.46) at final follow-up(P < 0.0001). 12California Simulation of Evapotranspiration of Applied Water and Agricultural Energy Use in California显示文摘The California Simulation of Evapotranspiration of Applied Water (Cal-SIMETAW) model is a new tool developed by the California Department of Water Resources and the University of California, Davis to perform daily soil water balance and determine crop evapotranspiration (ET c ), evapotranspiration of applied water (ET aw ), and applied water (AW) for use in California water resources planning. ET aw is a seasonal estimate of the water needed to irrigate a crop assuming 100% irrigation efficiency. The model accounts for soils, crop coefficients, rooting depths, seepage, etc. that influence crop water balance. It provides spatial soil and climate information and it uses historical crop and land-use category information to provide seasonal water balance estimates by combinations of detailed analysis unit and county (DAU/County) over California. The result is a large data base of ET c and ET aw that will be used to update information in the new California Water Plan (CWP). The application uses the daily climate data, i.e., maximum (T x ) and minimum (T n ) temperature and precipitation (P cp ), which were derived from monthly USDA-NRCS PRISM data (PRISM Group 2011) and daily US National Climate Data Center (NCDC) climate station data to cover California on a 4 km×4 km change grid spacing. The application uses daily weather data to determine reference evapotranspiration (ET o ), using the Hargreaves-Samani (HS) equation (Hargreaves and Samani 1982, 1985). Because the HS equation is based on temperature only, ET o from the HS equation were compared with CIMIS ET o at the same locations using available CIMIS data to determine correction factors to estimate CIMIS ET o from the HS ET o to account for spatial climate differences. Cal-SIMETAW also employs near real-time reference evapotranspiration (ET o ) information from Spatial CIMIS, which is a model that combines weather station data and remote sensing to provide a grid of ET o information. A second database containing the available soil water holding capacity and soil depth information for all of California was also developed from the USDA-NRCS SSURGO database. The Cal-SIMETAW program also has the ability to generate daily weather data from monthly mean values for use in studying climate change scenarios and their possible impacts on water demand in the state. The key objective of this project is to improve the accuracy of water use estimates for the California Water Plan (CWP), which provides a comprehensive report on water supply, demand, and management in California. 14Efficacy of telemedicine on glycaemic control in patients with type 2 diabetes:A meta-analysis显示文摘BACKGROUND Telemedicine is defined as the delivery of health services via remote communication and technology.It is a convenient and cost-effective method of intervention,which has shown to be successful in improving glyceamic control for type 2 diabetes patients.The utility of a successful diabetes intervention is vital to reduce disease complications,hospital admissions and associated economic costs.AIM To evaluate the effects of telemedicine interventions on hemoglobin A1c(HbA1c),systolic blood pressure(SBP),diastolic blood pressure(DBP),body mass index(BMI),post-prandial glucose(PPG),fasting plasma glucose(FPG),weight,cholesterol,mental and physical quality of life(QoL)in patients with type 2 diabetes.The secondary aim of this study is to determine the effect of the following subgroups on HbA1c post-telemedicine intervention;telemedicine characteristics,patient characteristics and self-care outcomes.METHODS PubMed Central,Cochrane Library,Embase and Scopus databases were searched from inception until 18th of June 2020.The quality of the 43 included studies were assessed using the PEDro scale,and the random effects model was used to estimate outcomes and I2 for heterogeneity testing.The mean difference and standard deviation data were extracted for analysis.RESULTS We found a significant reduction in HbA1c[-0.486%;95%confidence interval(CI)-0.561 to-0.410,P<0.001],DBP(-0.875 mmHg;95%CI-1.429 to-0.321,P<0.01),PPG(-1.458 mmol/L;95%CI-2.648 to-0.268,P<0.01),FPG(-0.577 mmol/L;95%CI-0.710 to-0.443,P<0.001),weight(-0.243 kg;95%CI-0.442 to-0.045,P<0.05),BMI(-0.304;95%CI-0.563 to-0.045,P<0.05),mental QoL(2.210;95%CI 0.053 to 4.367,P<0.05)and physical QoL(-1.312;95%CI 0.545 to 2.080,P<0.001)for patients following telemedicine interventions in comparison to control groups.The results of the meta-analysis did not show any significant reductions in SBP and cholesterol in the telemedicine interventions compared to the control groups.The telemedicine characteristic subgroup analysis revealed that clinical treatment models of intervention,as well as those involving telemonitoring,and those provided via modes of videoconference or interactive telephone had the greatest effect on HbA1c reduction.In addition,interventions delivered at a less than weekly frequency,as well as those given for a duration of 6 mo,and those lead by allied health resulted in better HbA1c outcomes.Furthermore,interventions with a focus on biomedical parameters,as well as those with an engagement level>70%and those with a drop-out rate of 10%-19.9%showed greatest HbA1c reduction.The patient characteristics investigation reported that Hispanic patients with T2DM had a greater HbA1c reduction post telemedicine intervention.For self-care outcomes,telemedicine interventions that resulted in higher postintervention glucose monitoring and self-efficacy were shown to have better HbA1c reduction.CONCLUSION The findings indicate that telemedicine is effective for improving HbA1c and thus,glycemic control in patients with type 2 diabetes.In addition,telemedicine interventions were also found to significantly improved other health outcomes as well as QoL scores.The results of the subgroup analysis emphasized that interventions in the form of telemonitoring,via a clinical treatment model and with a focus on biomedical parameters,delivered at a less than weekly frequency and 6 mo duration would have the largest effect on HbA1c reduction.This is in addition to being led by allied health,through modes such as video conference and interactive telephone,with an intervention engagement level>70%and a drop-out rate between 10%-19.9%.Due to the high heterogeneity of included studies and limitations,further studies with a larger sample size is needed to confirm our findings.Julia De Groot Dongjun Wu Declan Flynn Dylan Robertson Gary Grant Jing Sun 2021World Journal of Diabetes2021,12,2:3

19Genetic diversity and population structure of Pisum sativum accessions for marker-trait association of lipid content显示文摘Field pea(Pisum sativum L.) is an important protein-rich pulse crop produced globally. Increasing the lipid content of Pisum seeds through conventional and contemporary molecular breeding tools may bring added value to the crop. However, knowledge about genetic diversity and lipid content in field pea is limited. An understanding of genetic diversity and population structure in diverse germplasm is important and a prerequisite for genetic dissection of complex characteristics and marker-trait associations. Fifty polymorphic microsatellite markers detecting a total of 207 alleles were used to obtain information on genetic diversity, population structure and marker-trait associations. Cluster analysis was performed using UPGMA to construct a dendrogram from a pairwise similarity matrix. Pea genotypes were divided into five major clusters. A model-based population structure analysis divided the pea accessions into four groups. Percentage lipid content in 35 diverse pea accessions was used to find potential associations with the SSR markers. Markers AD73, D21, and AA5 were significantly associated with lipid content using a mixed linear model(MLM) taking population structure(Q) and relative kinship(K) into account. 20NOD2 and ATG16L1 polymorphisms affect monocyte responses in Crohn's disease显示文摘AIM:To assess whether polymorphisms in NOD2 and ATG16L1 affect cytokine responses and mycobacterium avium subspecies paratuberculosis (MAP) survival in monocytes from Crohn's disease (CD) patients.METHODS:Monocytes were isolated from peripheral blood of CD patients of known genotype for common single nucleotide polymorphisms of NOD2 and ATG16L1.Monocytes were challenged with MAP and bacterial persistence assessed at subsequent time-points.Cytokine responses were assayed using a Milliplex multi-analyte profiling assay for 13 cytokines.RESULTS:Monocytes heterozygous for a NOD2 polymorphism (R702W,P268S,or 1007fs) were more permissive for growth of MAP (P=0.045) than those without.There was no effect of NOD2 genotype on subsequent cytokine expression.The T300A polymorphism ofATG16L1 did not affect growth of MAP in our model (P=0.175),but did increase expression of cytokines interleukin (IL)-10 (P=0.047) and IL-6 (P=0.019).CONCLUSION:CD-associated polymorphisms affected the elimination of MAP fromex vivo monocytes (NOD2),or expression of certain cytokines (ATG16L1),implying independent but contributory roles in the pathogenesis of CD.Dylan M Glubb Richard B Gearry Murray L Barclay Rebecca L Roberts John Pearson Jacqui I Keenan Judy McKenzie Robert W Bentley 2011World Journal of Gastroenterology2011,17,23:2
