| 1 | Continuous nitrogen-doped carbon nanotube matrix for boosting oxygen electrocatalysis in rechargeable Zn-air batteries显示文摘Developing robust oxygen electrocatalyst with high-performance is very significant for practical rechargeable Zn-air battery.We report herein the preparation of three-dimensional continuous nanocarbon network composed of interconnected nitrogen-doped carbon nanotubes and its application as oxygen electrocatalysis in rechargeable Zn-air battery.Except the excellent electrochemical bifunctionality,this carbon nanotube matrix also delivers an impressive battery performance.Specifically,an opencircuit voltage of 1.50 V as well as a high power density of 220 m W cm^(-2) with remarkable cycling stability for 1600 h is achieved in the rechargeable Zn-air battery.The study not only provides an efficient bifunctional oxygen electrocatalyst but more importantly may pave significant concepts in designing robust electrode for long-life rechargeable Zn-air battery and other energy technologies. | Guangda Chen Yangyang Xu Lei Huang Aboulkader Ibro Douka Bao Yu Xia | 2021 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2021，30，4： | 7 |
| 2 | Steatosis and steatohepatitis in postmortem material from Northwestern Greece显示文摘AIM: To determine the prevalence of steatosis and steatohepatitis in a series of autopsies in Northwestern Greece. METHODS: Liver biopsy material from a total of 600 autopsies performed over a period of 2 years (2006-2008) to def ine the cause of death was subjected to histological examination. Patient demographic data were also collected. Tissue sections were stained with different dyes for the evaluation of liver architecture, degree of fibrosis and other pathological conditions when necessary. RESULTS: Satisfactory tissue samples for histological evaluation were available in 498 cases (341 male, 157 female) with a mean age of 64.51 ± 17.78 years. In total, 144 (28.9%) had normal liver histology, 156 (31.3%) had evidence of steatosis, and 198 (39.8%) had typical histological findings of steatohepatitis. The most common causes of death were ischemic heart disease with or without myocardial infarction (43.4%), and traffic accidents (13.4%). CONCLUSION: A high prevalence of steatosis and steatohepatitis was detected in postmortem biopsies from Northwestern Greece. | 3 | Image-guided lens extraction surgery: a systematic review显示文摘A systematic review of the recent literature regarding the current image-guided systems used for cataract surgery or refractive lens exchange was performed based on the PubMed and Google Scholar databases in March 2018. Literature review returned 21 eligible studies. These studies compared image-guided systems with other keratometric devices regarding their accuracy, repeatability and reproducibility in measurement of keratometric values, astigmatism magnitude and axis, as well as in IOL power calculation. Additionally, the image-guided systems were compared with conventional manual ink-marking techniques for the alignment of toric IOLs. In conclusion, image-guided systems seem to be an accurate and reliable technology with measurements of high repeatability and reproducibility regarding the keratometry and IOL power calculation, but not yet interchangeable with the current established and validated keratometric devices. | 5 | Low-grade central osteosarcoma of distal femur, resembling fibrous dysplasia显示文摘We report a case of a 32 year-old male, admitted for a lytic lesion of the distal femur. One month after the first X-ray, clinical and imaging deterioration was evident. Open biopsy revealed fibrous dysplasia. Three months later, the lytic lesion had spread to the whole distal third of the femur reaching the articular cartilage. The malignant clinical and imaging features necessitated excision of the lesion and reconstruction with a custom-made total knee arthroplasty. Intraoperatively, no obvious soft tissue infiltration was evident. Nevertheless, an excision of the distal 15.5 cm of the femur including 3.0 cm of the surrounding muscles was finally performed. The histological examination of the excised specimen revealed central low-grade osteosarcoma. Based on the morphological features of the excised tumor, allied to the clinical findings, the diagnosis of low-grade central osteosarcoma was finally made although characters of a fibrous dysplasia were apparent. Central low-grade osteosarcoma is a rare, well-differentiated sub-type of osteosarcoma, with clinical, imaging, and histological features similar to benign tumours. Thus, initial misdiagnosis is usual with the condition commonly mistaken for fibrous dysplasia. Central low-grade osteosarcoma is usually treated with surgery alone, with rare cases of distal metastases.
