1Prevention and forecasting of rock burst hazards in coal mines显示文摘Rock bursts signify extreme behavior in coal mine strata and severely threaten the safety of the lives of miners, as well as the effectiveness and productivity of miners. In our study, an elastic-plastic-brittle model for the deformation and failure of coal/rock was established through theoretical analyses, laboratory experiments and field testing, simulation and other means, which perfectly predict sudden and delayed rock bursts. Based on electromagnetic emission (EME), acoustic emission (AE) and microseism (MS) effects in the process from deformation until impact rupture of coal-rock combination samples, a multi-parameter identification of premonitory technology was formed, largely depending on these three forms of emission. Thus a system of classification for forecasting rock bursts in space and time was established. We have presented the intensity weakening theory for rock bursts and a strong-soft-strong (3S) structural model for controlling the impact on rock surrounding roadways, with the objective of laying a theoretical foundation and establishing references for parameters for the weakening control of rock bursts. For the purpose of prevention, key technical parameters of directional hydraulic fracturing are revealed. Based on these results, as well as those from deep-hole controlled blasting in coal seams and rock, integrated control techniques were established and anti-impact hydraulic props, suitable for roadways subject to hazards from rockbursts have also been developed. 2Effects of Tongxinluo-facilitated cellular cardiomyoplasty with autologous bone marrow-mesenchymal stem cells on postinfarct swine hearts显示文摘<正> Background Treatment of ischemic heart disease remains an important challenge,though there have been enormousprogresses in cardiovascular therapeutics.This study was conducted to evaluate whether Tongxinluo(TXL)treatmentaround the transplantation of mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)can improve survival and subsequent activities ofimplanted cells in swine hearts with acute myocardial infarction(AMI)and reperfusion.Methods Twenty-eight Chinese mini-pigs were divided into four groups including a control group(n=7);group 2,administration of low-dose TXL alone from the 3rd day prior to AMI to the 4th day post transplantation(n=7);group 3,MSCs alone(n=7)and group 4,TXL+MSCs(n=7).AMI models were made by occlusion of the left anterior descendingcoronary artery for 90 minutes.Autologous bone marrow-MSCs(3×10~7 cells/animal)were then injected into thepost-infarct myocardium immediately after AMI and reperfusion.The survival and differentiation of implanted cells in vivowere detected by immunofluorescent analysis.The data of cardiac function were obtained at baseline(1 week aftertransplantation)and endpoint(6 weeks after transplantation)by single photon emission computed tomography(SPECT)and magnetic resonance imaging(MRI).Apoptosis was detected by TUNEL assay and the oxidative stress level wasinvestigated in the post-infarct myocardium at endpoint.Results At endpoint,there was less fibrosis and inflammatory cell infiltration with more surviving myocardium in group 4than in the control group.In group 4 the survival and differentiation of implanted MSCs were significantly improved morethan that seen in group 3 alone(P<0.0001);the capillary density was also significantly greater than in the control group,group 2 or 3 both in the infarcted zone(P<0.0001)and the peri-infarct zone(P<0.0001).MRI showed that parameters atbaseline were not significantly different between the 4 groups.At endpoint,regional wall thickening and the left ventricularejection fraction were increased while the left ventricular mass index,dyskinetic segments and infarcted size weredecreased only in group 4 compared with control group(P<0.0001).SPECT showed that the area of perfusion defectwas significantly decreased at endpoint only in group 4 compared with control group(P<0.0001).TUNEL assay indicatedthat TXL administration significantly decreased cell apoptosis in peri-infarct myocardium in groups 2 and 4.Furthermore,superoxide dismutase(SOD)significantly increased and malondialdehyde(MDA)decreased in groups 2 and 4 by theadministration of TXL.Conclusions Our study demonstrates the following:(1)immediate intramyocardial injection of MSCs after AMI andreperfusion resulted in limited survival and differentiation potential of implanted cells in vivo,thus being incapable ofbeneficially affecting post-hearts;(2)TXL-facilitation resulted in a significant survival and differentiation potential ofimplanted cells in vivo via inhibition of apoptosis and oxidative stress,accompanied by significant benefits in cardiacfunction.Chin Med J 2007;120(16)QIAN Hai-yan YANG Yue-jin HUANG Ji GAO Run-lin DOU Ke-fei YANG Guo-sheng LI Jian-jun SHEN Rui HE Zuo-xiang LU Min-jie ZHAO Shi-hua 2007Chinese Medical Journal2007,,16:19
3Randomized controlled trial: Moxibustion and acupuncture for the treatment of Crohn's disease显示文摘AIM: To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of acupuncture and moxibustion for the treatment of active Crohn's disease(CD).METHODS: Ninety-two patients were equally and randomly divided into the treatment group and received herb-partitioned moxibustion combined with acupuncture, and the control group received wheat bran-partitioned moxibustion combined with superficial acupuncture. The patients received three treatment sessions per week for 12 wk and were followed up for 24 wk. The main outcome was evaluated using the CD Activity Index(CDAI) score, and the secondary outcomes were evaluated using laboratory indicators such as hemoglobin(HGB), C-reactive protein(CRP), erythrocyte sedimentation rate, quality-of-life, endoscopic ratings, and intestinal histology scores.RESULTS: The CDAI scores of both the treatment and control groups were significantly reduced after treatment compared with those measured before treatment. However, the degree of improvement in the treatment group was significantly greater than that of the control group. The improvement in symptoms in patients of the treatment group was sustained at follow-up, whereas that of the control group was not. The overall efficacy of the treatment was significantly greater than that of the control. Both groups demonstrated significant improvements in quality-of-life ratings after treatment, but the improvement was significantly greater in the treatment group than in the control group. 4Study on fault induced rock bursts显示文摘In order to study the rules of rock bursts caused by faults by means of mechanical analysis of a roof rock-mass balanced structure and numerical simulation about fault slip destabilization, the effect of coal mining operation on fault plane stresses and slip displacement were studied. The results indicate that the slip displacement sharply increases due to the decrease of normal stress and the increase of shear stress at the fault plane when the working face advances from the footwall to the fault itself, which may induce a fault rock burst. 5Hierarchical pore structure of activated carbon fabricated by CO_2/microwave for volatile organic compounds adsorption显示文摘An activated carbon pore-expanding technique was achieved through innovative reactivation by CO_2/microwave.The original and modified activated carbons were characterized by nitrogen adsorption–desorption,scanning electron microscopy,transmission electron microcopy,and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy.The mesopore volume increased from 0.122 cm^3·g^(-1) to 0.270 cm^3·g^(-1),and a hierarchical pore structure was formed.A gradual decrease in the phenolic hydroxyl and carboxyl groups on the surface of activated carbon enhanced the surface inertia of granular activated carbon(GAC).The toluene desorption rate of the modified sample increased by 8.81% compared with that of the original GAC.Adsorption isotherm fittings revealed that the Langmuir model was applicable for the original and modified activated carbons.The isosteric adsorption heat of toluene on the activated carbon decreased by approximately 50%,which endowed the modified sample with excellent stability in application.The modified samples showed an enhanced desorption performance of toluene,thereby opening a way to extend the cycle life and improve the economic performance of carbon adsorbent in practical engineering applications.Wenjuan Qiu Kang Dou Ying Zhou Haifeng Huang Yinfei Chen Hanfeng Lu 2018Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2018,26,1:16
6Bispectral index in predicting the prognosis of patients with coma in intensive care unit显示文摘BACKGROUND: The bispectral(BIS) index is a processed electroencephalogram(EEG) parameter with extensive validation and demonstrated clinical utility. The study aimed to investigate the correlation between the BIS index and the prognosis of patients with coma in the ICU.METHODS: A total of 208 patients with coma in the ICU were enrolled in this study. According to the BIS value, the patients were divided into four groups: group I, BIS value 0 to 20; group II, BIS value 21 to 40; group III, BIS value 41 to 60; and group IV, BIS value greater than 60. The difference in BIS values with the differences in prognosis of patients with coma was compared between the four groups, and the prognosis of patients with coma was stratified into consciousness, coma, vegetative state, and brain death. Subsequently, the best cut-off score of BIS values calculated for determining the correlation between BIS value and mental state was proposed.RESULTS: There are no significant differences in the age and APACHE II scores between the four groups(P>0.05). An inverse correlation was observed between BIS value and mental state(r= –0.749, P=0.00). 7Cropland redistribution to marginal lands undermines environmental sustainability显示文摘Cropland redistribution to marginal land has been reported worldwide;however,the resulting impacts on environmental sustainability have not been investigated sufficiently.Here we investigated the environmental impacts of cropland redistribution in China.As a result of urbanization-induced loss of high-quality croplands in south China(~8.5 t ha^(-1)),croplands expanded to marginal lands in northeast(~4.5 t ha^(-1)) and northwest China(~2.9 t ha^(-1)) during 1990-2015 to pursue food security.However,the reclamation in these low-yield and ecologically vulnerable zones considerably undermined local environmental sustainability,for example increasing wind erosion(+3.47%),irrigation water consumption(+34.42%),fertilizer use(+20.02%) and decreasing natural habitats(-3.11%).Forecasts show that further reclamation in marginal lands per current policies would exacerbate environmental costs by 2050.The future cropland security risk will be remarkably intensified because of the conflict between food production and environmental sustainability.Our research suggests that globally emerging reclamation of marginal lands should be restricted and crop yield boost should be encouraged for both food security and environmental benefits.Wenhui Kuang Jiyuan Liu Hanqin Tian Hao Shi Jinwei Dong Changqing Song Xiaoyong Li Guoming Du Yali Hou Dengsheng Lu Wenfeng Chi Tao Pan Shuwen Zhang Rafiq Hamdi Zherui Yin Huimin Yan Changzhen Yan Shixin Wu Rendong Li Jiuchun Yang Yinyin Dou Wenbin Wu Liqiao Liang Bao Xiang Shiqi Yang 2022National Science Review2022,9,1:13
8Humoral immune response to circulating SARS-CoV-2 variants elicited by inactivated and RBD-subunit vaccines显示文摘SARS-CoV-2 variants could induce immune escape by mutations on the receptor-binding domain(RBD)and N-terminal domain(NTD).Here we report the humoral immune response to circulating SARS-CoV-2 variants,such as 501Y.V2(B.1.351),of the plasma and neutralizing antibodies(NAbs)elicited by CoronaVac(inactivated vaccine),ZF2001(RBD-subunit vaccine)and natural infection.Among 86 potent NAbs identified by high-throughput single-cell VDJ sequencing of peripheral blood mononuclear cells from vaccinees and convalescents,near half anti-RBD NAbs showed major neutralization reductions against the K417N/E484K/N501Y mutation combination,with E484K being the dominant cause.VH3-53/VH3-66 recurrent antibodies respond differently to RBD variants,and K417N compromises the majority of neutralizing activity through reduced polar contacts with complementarity determining regions.In contrast,the 242–244 deletion(242–244Δ)would abolish most neutralization activity of anti-NTD NAbs by interrupting the conformation of NTD antigenic supersite,indicating a much less diversity of anti-NTD NAbs than anti-RBD NAbs.Plasma of convalescents and CoronaVac vaccinees displayed comparable neutralization reductions against pseudo-and authentic 501Y.V2 variants,mainly caused by E484K/N501Y and 242–244Δ,with the effects being additive.Importantly,RBD-subunit vaccinees exhibit markedly higher tolerance to 501Y.V2 than convalescents,since the elicited anti-RBD NAbs display a high diversity and are unaffected by NTD mutations.Moreover,an extended gap between the third and second doses of ZF2001 leads to better neutralizing activity and tolerance to 501Y.V2 than the standard three-dose administration.Together,these results suggest that the deployment of RBD-vaccines,through a third-dose boost,may be ideal for combating SARS-CoV-2 variants when necessary,especially for those carrying mutations that disrupt the NTD supersite.Yunlong Cao Ayijiang Yisimayi Yali Bai Weijin Huang Xiaofeng Li Zhiying Zhang Tianjiao Yuan Ran An Jing Wang Tianhe Xiao Shuo Du Wenping Ma Liyang Song Yongzheng Li Xiang Li Weiliang Song Jiajing Wu Shuo Liu Xuemei Li Yonghong Zhang Bin Su Xianghua Guo Yangyang Wei Chuanping Gao Nana Zhang Yifei Zhang Yang Dou Xiaoyu Xu Rui Shi Bai Lu Ronghua Jin Yingmin Ma Chengfeng Qin Youchun Wang Yingmei Feng Junyu Xiao Xiaoliang Sunney Xie 2021Cell Research2021,31,7:12
93D mathematical model for suspended load transport by turbulent flows and its applications显示文摘This paper presents a 3D mathematical model for suspended load transport in turbulent flows. Based on Dous stochastic theory of turbulent flow, numerical schemes of Reynolds stresses for anisotropic turbulent flows were obtained. A refined wall function was employed to treat solid wall boundaries. The equations for 2D suspended load motion and sorting of bed material have been expanded into 3D cases. Numerical results are validated by the measured data of the Gezhouba Project, and proved to be in good agreement with the experimental. The present method has been employed to simulate sediment erosion and deposition in the dam area of Three Gorges Project, and for the operation of the project, siltation process and deposition pattern in the near-dam area of the reservoir, size distribution of the deposits and bed material, and flow fields and sediment concentration fields at different time and elevations are predicted. The predicted results are close to the experimental observations in physical model studies. 13Classification of microseismic events in high stress zone显示文摘For the purpose of having a better understanding of failure mechanisms of rock fracturing in mines, the equivalent point source models of tensile, shear and explosive seismic events were established, and the relationship between far-field seismic displacements of the waves and the corresponding equivalent forces were analyzed as well. Based on the results of a microseismic monitoring carried out in the mining progress of 9202 working face under the upper remnant coal pillar in Sanhejian Mine, the waveform features of the seismic events associated with different failure modes were further analyzed. The results show that the signals corresponding to different failure mechanisms have different radiation patterns of the seismic displacements, and different characteristics in waveform features, such as dominant frequency, energy released, the ratio of S- to P-wave energy, and so on. In addition, the rock burst happened in the high stress zone is mainly the result of the strong shear fracturing in the mining process. 15Confining MOF-derived SnSe nanoplatelets in nitrogen-doped graphene cages via direct CVD for durable sodium ion storage显示文摘Tin-based compounds are deemed as suitable anode candidates affording promising sodium-ion storages for rechargeable batteries andhybrid capacitors.However,synergistically tailoring the electrical conductivity and structural stability of tin-based anodes to attain durablesodium-ion storages remains challenging to date for its practical applications.Herein,metal-organic framework(MOF)derived SnSe/C wrappedwithin nitrogen-doped graphene(NG@SnSe/C)is designed targeting durable sodium-ion storage.NG@SnSe/C possesses favorable electricalconductivity and structure stability due to the'inner'carbon framework from the MOF thermal treatment and'outer'graphitic cage from thedirect chemical vapor deposition synthesis.Consequently,NG@SnSe/C electrode can obtain a high reversible capacity of 650 mAh·g^-1 at 0.05 A·g^1,a favorable rate performance of 287.8 mAh·g^1 at 5 A·g^1 and a superior cycle stability with a negligible capacity decay of 0.016%percycle over 3,200 cycles at 0.4 A·g^1.Theoretical calculations reveal that the nitrogen-doping in graphene can stabilize the NG@SnSe/Cstructure and improve the electrical conductivity.The reversible Na-ion storage mechanism of SnSe is further investigated by in-situ X-raydiffraction/ex-s/tu transmission electron microscopy.Furthermore,assembled sodium-ion hybrid capacitor full-cells comprising our NG@SnSe/Canode and an active carbon cathode harvest a high energy/power density of 115.5 Wh·kg^-1/5,742 W·kg^-1,holding promise for next-generationen ergy storages.Chen Lu Zhenzhu Li Zhou Xia Haina Ci Jingsheng Cai Yingze Song Lianghao Yu Wanjian Yin Shixue Dou Jingyu Sun Zhongfan Liu 2019Nano Research2019,12,12:7
16Phase equilibria for the pseudo-ternary system(NaCl+Na2SO4+H2O)of coal gasification wastewater at T=(268.15 to 373.15)K显示文摘The pseudo-ternary system(Na Cl + Na_2SO_4+ H_2O) of coal gasification wastewater was studied at T =(268.15 to 373.15) K. The solubility and density of the equilibrium liquid phase were determined by the isothermal solution saturation method. The equilibrium solids were also investigated by the Schreinemaker's method of wet residues and X-ray powder diffraction(XRD). According to the experimental data, the phase diagrams were determined. It was found that there was no significant solubility difference on the Na Cl-rich side between the ternary system(Na Cl + Na_2SO_4+ H_2O) in coal gasification wastewater and in pure water. However, the solubility on the Na_2SO_4-rich side of coal gasification wastewater was apparently higher than that of pure water. The increase in the solubility of Na_2SO_4 was most likely caused by the effects of other impurities apart from Na Cl and Na_2SO_4 in coal gasification wastewater. 18Palliative operation procedures for pancreatic head carcinoma显示文摘Objective: To investigate the procedure choice of pal-liative operation for carcinoma of the head of the pan-creas (CHP).Methods: The clinical data from 187 patients withCHP treated in the last 20 years were analyzed retro-spectively.Results: The operation mortality rate was 8.6%, themortality of hepatic duct-jejunostomy (HDJS) was nothigher than that of cholecystojejunostomy (CJS) (P>0.05). The postoperative relapse of jaundice and cholan-gitis was significantly lower than that of CJS (P<0.025), while the survival was apparently higher thanthat of CJS (P<0.01). The mortality of HJDS or CJSwith gastrojejunostomy (GJS) was not significantlyhigher than that of the simple procedure without GJS(P>0.05), whereas the survival was significantlyhigher than that of the simple procedure without GJS(P<0.01). 19Frequency spectrum analysis on micro-seismic signal of rock bursts induced by dynamic disturbance显示文摘Blasting and breaking of hard roof are main inducing causes of rock bursts in coal mines with danger of rock burst,and it is important to find out the frequency spectrum distribution laws of these dynamic stress waves and rock burst waves for researching the mechanism of rock burst.In this paper,Fourier transform as a micro-seismic signal conversion method of amplitude-time character to amplitude-frequency character is used to analyze the frequency spectrum characters of micro-seismic signal of blasting,hard roof breaking and rock bursts induced by the dynamic disturbance in order to find out the difference and relativity of different signals.The results indicate that blasting and breaking of hard roof are high frequency signals,and the peak values of dominant frequency of the signals are single.However,the results indicate that the rock bursts induced by the dynamic disturbance are low frequency signals,and there are two obvious peak values in the amplitude-frequency curve witch shows that the signals of rock bursts are superposition of low frequency signals and high frequency signals.The research conclusions prove that dynamic disturbance is necessary condition for rock bursts,and the conclusions provide a new way to research the mechanism of rock bursts.XU Xuefeng DOU Linming LU Caiping ZHANG Yinliang 2010Mining Science and Technology2010,20,5:6
20A review of soil nematodes as biological indicators for the assessment of soil health显示文摘Healthy soils are essential for sustainableagricultural development and soil health requires carefulassessment with increasing societal concern over envir-onmentally friendly agricultural development. Soil healthis the capacity of soil to function within ecologicalboundaries to sustain productivity, maintain environmentalquality, and promote plant and animal health. Physical,chemical and biological indicators are used to evaluate soilhealth;the biological indicators include microbes, proto-zoa and metazoa. Nematodes are the most abundantmetazoa and they vary in their sensitivity to pollutants andenvironmental disturbance. Soil nematode communitiesare useful biological indicators of soil health, withcommunity characteristics such as abundance, diversity,community structure and metabolic footprint all closelycorrelated with the soil environment. The community size,complexity and structure reflect the condition of the soil.Both free-living and plant parasitic nematodes are effec-tive ecological indicators, contributing to nutrient cyclingand having important roles as primary, secondary andtertiary consumers in food webs. Tillage inversion,cropping patterns and nutrient management may havestrong effects on soil nematodes, with changes in soilnematode communities reflecting soil disturbance.
