1Component analysis of Chinese medicine and advances in fuming-washing therapy for knee osteoarthritis via unsupervised data mining methods显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To analyze the component law of Chinese medicines in fuming-washing therapy for knee osteoarthritis(KOA), and develop new fuming-washing prescriptions for KOA through unsupervised data mining methods.METHODS: Chinese medicine recipes for fuming-washing therapy for KOA were collected and recorded in a database. The correlation coefficient among herbs, core combinations of herbs, andnew prescriptions were analyzed using modified mutual information, complex system entropy cluster, and unsupervised hierarchical clustering, respectively.RESULTS: Based on analysis of 345 Chinese medicine recipes for fuming-washing therapy, 68 herbs occurred frequently, 33 herb pairs occurred frequently, and 12 core combinations were found.Five new fuming-washing recipes for KOA were developed.CONCLUSION: Chinese medicines for fuming-washing therapy of KOA mainly consist of wind-dampness-dispelling and cold-dispersing herbs, blood-activating and stasis-resolving herbs,and wind-dampness-dispelling and heat-clearing herbs. The treatment of fuming-washing therapy for KOA also includes dispelling wind-dampness and dispersing cold, activating blood and resolving stasis, and dispelling wind-dampness and clearing heat. 2A novel quantified bitterness evaluation model for traditional Chinese herbs based on an animal ethology principle显示文摘Traditional Chinese herbs(TCH) are currently gaining attention in disease prevention and health care plans. However, their general bitter taste hinders their use. Despite the development of a variety of taste evaluation methods, it is still a major challenge to establish a quantitative detection technique that is objective, authentic and sensitive. Based on the two-bottle preference test(TBP), we proposed a novel quantitative strategy using a standardized animal test and a unified quantitative benchmark. To reduce the difference of results, the methodology of TBP was optimized. The relationship between the concentration of quinine and animal preference index(PI) was obtained. Then the PI of TCH was measured through TBP, and bitterness results were converted into a unified numerical system using the relationship of concentration and PI. To verify the authenticity and sensitivity of quantified results,human sensory testing and electronic tongue testing were applied. The quantified results showed a good discrimination ability. For example, the bitterness of Coptidis Rhizoma was equal to 0.0579 mg/mL quinine, and Nelumbinis Folium was equal to 0.0001 mg/mL. The validation results proved that the newassessment method for TCH was objective and reliable. 3Energy metabolism disorders and potential therapeutic drugs in heart failure显示文摘Heart failure(HF)is a global public health problem with high morbidity and mortality.A large number of studies have shown that HF is caused by severe energy metabolism disorders,which result in an insufficient heart energy supply.This deficiency causes cardiac pump dysfunction and systemic energy metabolism failure,which determine the development of HF and recovery of heart.Current HF therapy acts by reducing heart rate and cardiac preload and afterload,treating the HF symptomatically or delaying development of the disease.Drugs aimed at cardiac energy metabolism have not yet been developed.In this review,we outline the main characteristics of cardiac energy metabolism in healthy hearts,changes in metabolism during HF,and related pathways and targets of energy metabolism.Finally,we discuss drugs that improve cardiac function via energy metabolism to provide new research ideas for the development and application of drugs for treating HF.Yanan He Wei Huang Chen Zhang Lumeng Chen Runchun Xu Nan Li Fang Wang Li Han Ming Yang Dingkun Zhang 2021Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2021,11,5:11
4GPU-accelerated computing of three-dimensional solar wind background显示文摘High-performance computational models are required to make the real-time or faster than real-time numerical prediction of adverse space weather events and their influence on the geospace environment.The main objective in this article is to explore the application of programmable graphic processing units(GPUs)to the numerical space weather modeling for the study of solar wind background that is a crucial part in the numerical space weather modeling.GPU programming is realized for our Solar-Interplanetary-CESE MHD model(SIP-CESE MHD model)by numerically studying the solar corona/interplanetary solar wind.The global solar wind structures are obtained by the established GPU model with the magnetic field synoptic data as input.Meanwhile,the time-dependent solar surface boundary conditions derived from the method of characteristics and the mass flux limit are incorporated to couple the observation and the three-dimensional(3D)MHD model.The simulated evolution of the global structures for two Carrington rotations 2058 and 2062 is compared with solar observations and solar wind measurements from spacecraft near the Earth.The MHD model is also validated by comparison with the standard potential field source surface(PFSS)model.Comparisons show that the MHD results are in good overall agreement with coronal and interplanetary structures,including the size and distribution of coronal holes,the position and shape of the streamer belts,and the transition of the solar wind speeds and magnetic field polarities.FENG XueShang ZHONG DingKun XIANG ChangQing ZHANG Yao 2013Science China Earth Sciences2013,56,11:7
5A comparative study on 3-D solar wind structure observed by Ulysses and MHD simulation显示文摘During Ulysses’ first rapid pole-to-pole transit from September 1994 to June 1995, its observations showed that middle- or high-speed solar winds covered all latitudes except those between ?20° and +20° near the ecliptic plane, where the velocity was 300―450 km/s. At poleward 40°, however, only fast solar winds at the speed of 700―870 km/s were observed. In addition, the transitions from low-speed wind to high-speed wind or vice versa were abrupt. In this paper, the large-scale structure of solar wind observed by Ulysses near solar minimum is simulated by using the three-dimensional numerical MHD model. The model com- bines TVD Lax-Friedrich scheme and MacCormack II scheme and decomposes the calculation region into two re- gions: one from 1 to 22 Rs and the other from 18 Rs to 1 AU. Based on the observations of the solar photospheric magnetic field and an addition of the volumetric heating to MHD equations, the large-scale solar wind structure mentioned above is reproduced by using the three-dimensional MHD model and the numerical results are roughly consistent with Ulysses’ observations. 6Mechanical properties of irradiated multi-phase polycrystalline BCC materials显示文摘Structure materials under severe irradiations in nuclear environments are known to degrade because of irradiation hardening and loss of ductility,resulting from irradiation-induced defects such as vacancies,interstitials and dislocation loops,etc.In this paper,we develop an elastic-viscoplastic model for irradiated multi-phase polycrystalline BCC materials in which the mechanical behaviors of individual grains and polycrystalline aggregates are both explored.At the microscopic grain scale,we use the internal variable model and propose a new tensorial damage descriptor to represent the geometry character of the defect loop,which facilitates the analysis of the defect loop evolutions and dislocation-defect interactions.At the macroscopic polycrystal scale,the self-consistent scheme is extended to consider the multiphase problem and used to bridge the individual grain behavior to polycrystal properties.Based on the proposed model,we found that the work-hardening coefficient decreases with the increase of irradiation-induced defect loops,and the orientation/loading dependence of mechanical properties is mainly attributed to the different Schmid factors.At the polycrystalline scale,numerical results for pure Fe match well with the irradiation experiment data.The model is further extended to predict the hardening effect of dispersoids in oxide-dispersed strengthened steels by the considering the Orowan bowing.The influences of grain size and irradiation are found to compete to dominate the strengthening behaviors of materials.Dingkun Song Xiazi Xiao Jianming Xue Haijian Chu Huiling Duan 2015Acta Mechanica Sinica2015,31,2:4
7Magnetic reconnection structures in the boundary layer of an interplanetary magnetic cloud显示文摘An interplanetary magnetic diffusion region was detected by WIND during 0735-0850 UT on May 15, 1997 when the front boundary layer of a magnetic cloud passed through the spacecraft about 190 earth radii upstream of the earth. The main signals of magnetic reconnection processes are: (ⅰ) Flow reversal was detected at about 0810 UT. The counter-streaming flows have the speeds of about 65 and 41 km/s, respectively, with an angle of about 140 degree between them. (ⅱ) Hall magnetic field was detected. The Hall fields ?By and +By, perpendicular to the X-Z plane, with their magnitude up to ~7.0 nT, are superposed upon a guide field about 12 nT. (ⅲ) Alfvenic fluctuations are obviously intensified inside the reconnection region; at the front boundary of the reconnection region, a slow-mode-like discontinuity was detected. (ⅳ) Ions are heated intensively inside the reconnection region, with their temperature three times higher than that ahead of the boundary layer; electrons are also heated, with a little enhancement in their temperature. 10Effect of SF6 on Ozone Generation Using Dielectric Barrier Discharge显示文摘The influence mechanism of a small amount of SF6 on ozone generation in oxygen or air discharge is investigated.Some results are obtained by probing into the number of the high-energy electrons,which have the sufficiency energy for generating ozone.Introducing a small amount of SF6 into oxygen sharply decreases the number of high-energy electrons,because the electron density decreases sharply while the mean electron energy remains constant due to higher breakdown voltage and lower discharge power,and some high-energy electrons are consumed by the excitation and attachment of SF6.In contrast,when a small amount of SF6 is added into dry air discharge,despite the consumption of the excitation and attachment of SF6,the number of high energy electrons increases sharply,which is attributed to the higher mean electron energy and electron density resulted from higher breakdown voltage and discharge power.When the volume fraction of SF6 increases from 0 to 2.22%,the ozone mass concentration and the ozone yield increase by 45.7% and 29.7%,respectively.Therefore,though the oxygen source should avoid the presence of SF6,adding a small amount of SF6 can improve the ozone mass concentration and the efficiency of ozone generation.WEI Linsheng DONG Guopan ZHANG Yafang YUAN Dingkun HU Zhaoji FU Chunyi 2013高电压技术2013,39,10:2
11WIND observations of plasma waves inside the magnetic cloud boundary layers显示文摘Based on the WIND observational data for the plasma waves from thermal noise receptor (TNR) working on the frequency 4―256 kHz and the solar wind and the magnetic fields, we analyze the plasma wave activities in the 60 magnetic cloud’s boundary layers (BLs) and find that there are often various plasma wave activities in the BLs, which are different from those in the adjacent solar wind (SW) and the magnetic clouds (MC). The basic characteris-tics are that: (1) the enhancement of the Langmuir wave near the electronic plasma frequency (fpe) is a dominant wave ac-tivity, which occupies 75% investigated samples; (2) the events enhanced both in the langmuir and ion acustic (f < fpe) waves are about 60% of investigated samples; (3) broadband, continuous enhancement events in the plasma wave activities were observed in the whole frequency band of TNR, and about 30% of the 60 samples, however, were not observed in the SW and the MC investigated events; (4) although the ratio of the temperatures between the electon and proton, Te/Tp≤1, the ion caustic wave enhancement activities are still often observed in the BLs, which makes it difficult to ex- plain them by the traditional plasma theory. 16Security Defence Policy Selection Method Using the Incomplete Information Game Model显示文摘Nowadays, the network defence policy selection using game model of incomplete information ignores the type of the defender, which quantifies cost simply, resulting in unreasonable defence policies selection. Aiming at the problem, we use Bayesian game theory to model the active defence policy selection. We take the types of both the attacker and the defender into consideration. Besides, the traditional quantization method is enhanced. Then, we calculate the equilibrium of static Bayesian game. Based on the analysis of the equilibrium, we select the optimal defence policy through the prediction for attackers' actions. The paper calculates the defence effectiveness of defence policies and provides a defence policies selection algorithm. 18A CLASS OF TWO-STEP TVD MACCORMACK TYPE NUMERICAL SCHEME FOR MHD EQUATIONS显示文摘In this paper, a new numerical scheme of Total Variation Diminishing (TVD) MacCormack type for MagnetoHydroDynamic (MHD) equations is proposed by taking into account of the characteristics such as convergence, stability, resolution. This new scheme is established by solving the MHD equations with a TVD modified MacCormack scheme for the purpose of developing a scheme of quick convergence as well as of TVD property. To show the validation, simplicity and practicability of the scheme for modelling MHD problems, a self-similar Cauchy problem with the discontinuous initial data consisting of constant states, and the collision of two fast MHD shocks, and two-dimensional Orszag and Tang's MHD vortex problem are discussed with the numerical results conforming to the existing results obtained by the Roe type TVD, the high-order Godunov scheme,and Weighted Essentially Non-Oscillatory (WENO) scheme.
