| 1 | Performance analysis and comparison of PoW,PoS and DAG based blockchains显示文摘In the blockchain,the consensus mechanism plays a key role in maintaining the security and legitimation of contents recorded in the blocks.Various blockchain consensus mechanisms have been proposed.However,there is no technical analysis and comparison as a guideline to determine which type of consensus mechanism should be adopted in a specific scenario/application.To this end,this work investigates three mainstream consensus mechanisms in the blockchain,namely,Proof of Work(PoW),Proof of Stake(PoS),and Direct Acyclic Graph(DAG),and identifies their performances in terms of the average time to generate a new block,the confirmation delay,the Transaction Per Second(TPS)and the confirmation failure probability.The results show that the consensus process is affected by both network resource(computation power/coin age,buffer size)and network load conditions.In addition,it shows that PoW and PoS are more sensitive to the change of network resource while DAG is more sensitive to network load conditions. | Bin Cao Zhenghui Zhang Daquan Feng Shengli Zhang Lei Zhang Mugen Peng Yun Li | 2020 | Digital Communications and Networks2020,6,4: | 15 |
| 2 | A Preliminary Review of Metallogenic Regularity of Silver Deposits in China显示文摘China has widely distributed silver deposits,and is rich in silver resources.Although silver deposits are mainly associated with Pb-Zn deposits,a number of independent silver deposits have also been discovered in recent years.Silver deposits include different types,such as submarine volcanism and continental volcanism related type,intrusion related type,and sedimentary related type.This study summarized the metallogenic regularity of China's silver deposits systematically based mainly on the data from 490 silver deposits.It is shown that submarine volcanic sedimentary type,continental volcanic or sub-volcanic type,skarn type,hydrothermal type(including vein type and stratabound type),sedimentary metamorphic type,sedimentary type and regolith type should be regarded as the most important prediction types of silver deposit.A total of 32 silver mineralization belts and 111 silver concentration areas have been delineated.The map of 'Spatial distribution of silver mineralization belts in China' and other series of maps finished in this study may provide a theoretical basis for the evaluation and prognosis of silver resources potential in China. | JIANG Biao ZHANG Daquan WANG Denghong WANG Chenghui CHEN Yuchuan BAI Ge | 2015 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2015,89,3: | 5 |

| 4 | Identification of Sheep Ovary Genes Potentially Associated with Off-season Reproduction显示文摘Off-season reproduction is a favorable economic trait for sheep industry.Hu sheep,an indigenous Chinese sheep breed,demonstrates a higher productivity of lambs and displays year-around oestrous behavior under proper nutrition and environment.The genetic basis behind these traits,however,is not well understood.In order to identify genes associated with the off-season reproduction,we constructed a suppression subtractive hybridization(SSH) cDNA library using pooled ovary mRNAs of 6 oestrous Hu females as a tester and the pooled ovary mRNAs of 6 non-oestrous Chinese Merino females as a driver.A total of 382 resulting positive clones were obtained after the SSH.We identified 114 differentially up-regulated genes in oestrous Hu sheep by using subsequent screening and DNA sequencing,of which 8 were previously known,93 were reported for the first time in sheep,and 13 were novel with no significant homology to any sequence in the DNA databases.Functions of the genes identified are related to cell division,signal transduction,structure,metabolism,or cell defense.To validate the results of SSH,6 genes(Ntrk2,Ppap2b,Htra1,Nid1,Serpine2 and Foxola) were selected for conformational analysis using quantitative real-time PCR(qRT-PCR),and two of them(Htral and Foxola) were verified by Northern blot.All of the 6 genes were differentially up-regulated in the ovary of oestrous Hu.It is obvious that off-season reproduction is a complex trait involving multiple genes in multiple organs.This study helps to provide a foundation for the final identification of functional genes involved in the sheep ovary. | Lei Chen Ka Liu Zongsheng Zhao Hugh T.Blair Peng Zhang Daquan Li Runlin Z.Ma | 2012 | Journal of Genetics and Genomics2012,39,4: | 3 |
| 5 | 青海河湟谷地胃癌病理特征及其变化趋势分析(英文)显示文摘Objective: The aim of our study was to discuss changes in the clinicopathological characteristics of gastric cancer in Hehuang Valley of China in recent 10 years. Methods: A retrospective case-control study was performed on 2379 newly-diagnosed gastric cancer patients. All of them came from Hehuang Valley. The patients were divided into two groups [recent 5 years(R5Y) and late 5 years(L5Y)] from February 2003 to February 2013, and the clinicopathological data were surveyed retrospectively. Results: The constituent ratio of upper 1/3 gastric cancer in R5Y and L5Y was 33.5% and 20.7%, respectively, and it showed a significant difference between the two groups(χ2 = 21.28, P = 0.00). The constituent ratio of squamous carcinoma/adenosquamous carcinoma was 2.7% and 1.6%, respectively, and it also showed a significant difference between two groups(χ2 = 50.91, P = 0.00). The constituent ratio of moderately-poorly differentiated/poorly differentiated gastric carcinoma was 84.2% and 50.2%, respectively, and it showed statistically significant difference(χ2 = 30.28, P = 0.00). The detection rate of early gastric cancer(EGC) was 1.47%(35/2379). The constituent ratio of the types of Borrmann II and Borrmann IV of advanced gastric cancer(AGC) among 2379 cases was 47.6% and 40.8%, respectively, and that still showed statistically significant difference(χ2 = 18.80, P = 0.00). The constituent ratio of diffuse-type of gastric cancer in R5Y and L5Y was 36.2% and 30.8%, respectively, even there was a significant difference(χ2 = 7.49, P = 0.01). Furthermore, there were also significant differences in regional lymph nodes metastasis, perineural infiltration and vascular invasion(P < 0.05). The positive detection rate of HER2, ER and PR was 14.88%, 17.23% and 15.93%, respectively. The constituent ratio of HP in two groups was 43.8% and 36.2% respectively, and it also showed a significant difference(χ2 = 13.51, P = 0.00). Conclusion: The pathogenic sites in gastric cancer change to the upper stomach in Hehuang Valley in recent 10 years, and the detection rate of squamous carcinoma/adenosquamous carcinoma reveals a sharp rise. Borrmann III is still one of the main types of advanced gastric cancer, but the detection rates of Borrmann II and IV are increasing. The main type of gastric cancer is the intestinaltype, but the ratio of diffuse-type is also increasing in recent 10 years. The HP detection rate is 40.65%(967/2379), and it has a slight rise in recent 10 years. The detection rate of poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma is increasing despite the fact that the moderately/moderately-poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma is the main histologic types. High detection rates of lymph nodes metastasis, perineural infiltration and vascular invasion indicate poor prognosis in patients with gastric cancer. | 6 | Predictability of the Western North Pacific Subtropical High Associated with Different ENSO Phases in GloSea5显示文摘The western North Pacific subtropical high(WNPSH) dominates the summer climate over East Asia. The intensity,position, and shape of WNPSH influence the spatiotemporal distributions of precipitation, temperature, and tropical cyclone activities in this region. This paper intends to investigate the performance of the UK Met Office Global Seasonal forecast system version 5(GloSea5) in simulation/prediction of the WNPSH based on a hindcast dataset. Analyses of the hindcast data show a systematic bias in the mean circulation over West Pacific, with negative geopotential height anomalies over the western North Pacific(WNP) and cyclonic anomalies in the 850-hPa winds and water vapor transport, indicating a weakening and eastward shift of the WNPSH. Despite the model’s bias in the climatology, it well captured the interannual variability of the monthly and seasonal-mean intensity of the WNPSH and the position of its ridge line in boreal summer from 1993 to 2015. The seasonal hindcasts indicate that there is significant prediction skill at up to three-month lead time for both the intensity and position of the WNPSH ridge line. The relationship between the WNPSH and different phases of the El Nino–Southern Oscillation(ENSO) in both the observational data and GloSea5 hindcasts was then investigated. The model captured the summer WNPSH anomalies well during most of the ENSO phases, except in the La Nina decaying and neutral summers. The intensity of the anticyclone in the WNP is weak in the decaying phase of El Nino in the GloSea5 hindcasts compared with the reanalysis data. GloSea5 is capable of representing the lagged teleconnection between El Nino events in the previous winter and the intensity of the WNPSH in the following summer. | 18 | Seasonal Prediction Skill and Biases in GloSea5 Relating to the East Asia Winter Monsoon显示文摘The simulation and prediction of the climatology and interannual variability of the East Asia winter monsoon(EAWM),as well as the associated atmospheric circulation,was investigated using the hindcast data from Global Seasonal Forecast System version 5(GloSea5),with a focus on the evolution of model bias among different forecast lead times.While GloSea5 reproduces the climatological means of large-scale circulation systems related to the EAWM well,systematic biases exist,including a cold bias for most of China’s mainland,especially for North and Northeast China.GloSea5 shows robust skill in predicting the EAWM intensity index two months ahead,which can be attributed to the performance in representing the leading modes of surface air temperature and associated background circulation.GloSea5 realistically reproduces the synergistic effect of El Niño–Southern Oscillation(ENSO)and the Arctic Oscillation(AO)on the EAWM,especially for the western North Pacific anticyclone(WNPAC).Compared with the North Pacific and North America,the representation of circulation anomalies over Eurasia is poor,especially for sea level pressure(SLP),which limits the prediction skill for surface air temperature over East Asia.The representation of SLP anomalies might be associated with the model performance in simulating the interaction between atmospheric circulations and underlying surface conditions. | Daquan ZHANG Lijuan CHEN Gill MMARTIN Zongjian KE | 2023 | Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2023,40,11: | 1 |
