黄河废弃三角洲叶瓣海岸侵蚀与岸线演化显示文摘A statistic analysis predicting coastal change of the Yellow River abandoned delta lobe formed from 1964 to 1976 using Landsat TM imagery was conducted by calculating the coastal erosion/accumulation rates obtained from four different classic profiles and plotting the change curves of coastline with time. The studies showed that the regularity of the evolution of the coastline was very obvious after the delta lobe was abandoned. The coastal evolution can be divided into three different phases: erosion phase, transition phase and cyclical change phase. At present, the coast has evolved to the cyclical change phase. The natural coastline change cycle is 4 years between the dam and is 5years to the west of the dam. In the cyclical change phase, the quasi-equilibrium line of the coast was located near the coastline of 1996, the current coast may recede 1.79 km to reach the natural equilibrium coastline. Therefore, some measures must be taken to protect the dam or the dam will be destroyed by the force of nature. The curves also revealed the magnitude of erosion/accumulation rates would decrease gradually with time. The results of the study offer guidance for coast protection, and proves that the evolution of silty coast actually was a cyclical change process too. | 李安龙 李广雪 曹立华 Zhang Qingde DENG Shenggui | 2004 | Journal of Geographical Sciences2004,14,4: | 5
Arctic oscillation and the antarcic oscillation modes in the atmospheric stratosphere显示文摘On the basis of the EOF analysis of global geopotential height anomaly (GHA) field at 10 hPa level, the arctic oscillation (AO) and the means antarctic oscillation (AAO) can be detected more obviously at the upper level of atmosphere than the AO or the AAO in surface layer. Unlike the hemisphere pattern of the AO and the AAO in the surface lager given by previous authors, the AO or the AAO in the stratosphere has its global features. The zonal oscillations-the Southern Oscillation (SO) and the north oscillation (NO) in atmospheric surface layer become less clear in the upper air. The first mode (AO mode, abbreviated to AOM hereafter) and the second mode (AAO mode, abbreviated to AAOM hereafter) respectively have 41.47% and 27.04% of the total variance contribution. The cumulative variance contribution of the first two modes reaches 68.51%. These two modes are the main components for the interdecadal or decadal oscillation in the stratosphere. In addition, there still exist two kinds of oscillation patterns with less probability, namely, the symmetric pattern at mid-high latitudes in the Southern Hemisphere and the asymmetric pattern. Spectral analysis shows that the AOM and the AAOM all have a spectral peak for 22 a period, being consistent with the periodic variations of the solar magnetic field, and a peak for 11 a period, being consistent with the period of the numbers of sunspots. Step filter analysis shows that the influencing factor for the upper atmospheric oscillation is the solar activity. The fluctuation of the solar magnetic field is the more influencing factor than the variation of the sunspot number. | QU Weizheng HUANG Fei ZHAO Jinping YANG Liang HE Hui DENG Shenggui CAO Yong | 2005 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2005,24,6: | 4
Microstructure Features and the Macroscopic Acoustic Behavior of Gassy Silt in the Yellow River Delta显示文摘The morphological changes in isolated bubbles in gassy silt play a critical role in the microscopic structures between soil particles and bubbles and macroscopic physical properties.Based on X-ray CT scanning experiments under various vertical loads(four levels),self-designed acoustic macro experiments, and a series of formula revisions to the macro-air-bearing silt sound-velocity prediction model, this paper discusses the macro-and micro-scale features of gassy silts from the Yellow River Delta. The samples consisted of different proportions of silt from the Yellow River Delta and porous media, and they were used to form two types of aerosol silts with initial gas contents of 4.23%and 7.67%.The results show that the air bubble content and external load considerably affect the microstructural parameters and acoustic behavior of gassy silt in the Yellow River Delta. The macroscopic sound velocity showed a linear positive correlation with vertical load and relation to microstructural parameters in varying manners and degrees.Based on the traditional Biot-Stoll acoustic model, the gas-phase medium coefficient was introduced for the proper calculation and prediction of the sound velocity of air-bearing silt. The errors of the overall prediction varied between 5.6%and 9.6%. | LIU Tao GUO Zhenqi ZHANG Yan WU Chen LIU Lele DENG Shenggui | 2024 | Journal of Ocean University of China2024,23,2: | 0
Factors Influencing the Thermal Conductivity of Silt in the Yellow River Delta显示文摘The thermal conductivity of marine sediments is an important thermophysical parameter in the study of seafloor heat flow and marine engineering construction.Understanding the effect of thermal conductivity of marine sediments in the environment has a major engineering value and theoretical significance. In this work,a modified test method was used to measure the thermal conductivity of silt in the Yellow River Delta under different void ratios, moisture contents, temperatures, and salinities. Results showed that the thermal conductivity of silt in the Yellow River Delta decreased with the increase in the void ratio and increased with the water content.Compared with sand and clay, silt in the Yellow River Delta was the least affected by the void ratio and moisture content.Under low temperatures, the heat transfer of soil was controlled by the average velocity of the phonons;therefore, the thermal conductivity of silt in the Yellow River Estuary increased with temperature. The thermal conductivity of pore water decreased with increasing salinity. Moreover, certain salinity levels resulted in a phenomenon known as the‘compressing twin electrical layer’,which led to an increase in the contact area between soil particles. With the increase in salinity, the thermal conductivity of silt in the Yellow River Delta experiences an initial decline and a subsequent increase. The proposed thermal conductivity test method is more accurate than the existing technique, and the findings provide a basis for further study on the thermal characteristics of submarine sediments. | YANG Xiuqing DENG Shenggui GUO Lei ZHANG Yan LIU Tao | 2023 | Journal of Ocean University of China2023,22,4: | 0
Study on strength properties and soil behaviour type classification of Huanghe River Delta silts based on variable rate piezocone penetration test显示文摘Fine-grained silt is widely distributed in the Huanghe River Delta(HRD)in China, and the sedimentary structure is complex, meaning that the clay content in the silt is variable. The piezocone penetration test(CPTu)is the most widely approved in situ test method. It can be used to invert soil properties and interpret soil behavior. To analyse the strength properties of surface sediments in the HRD,this paper evaluated the friction angle and its inversion formula through the CPTu penetration test and monotonic simple shear test and other soil unit experiments. The evaluation showed that the empirical formula proposed by Kulhawy and Mayne had better prediction and inversion effect. The HRD silts with clay contents of 9.2%,21.4%and 30.3%were selected as samples for the CPTu variable rate penetration test. The results show as follows.(1)The effects of the clay content on the tip resistance and the pore pressure of silt under different penetration rates were summarized. The tip resistance Q_t is strongly dependent on the clay content of the silt, the B_(q)value of the silt tends to 0 and is not significantly affected by the change of the CPTu penetration rate.(2)Five soil behavior type classification charts and three soil behavior type indexes based on CPTu data were evaluated. The results show that the soil behavior type classification chart based on soil behavior type index ISBT,the Robertson 2010 behavior type classification chart are more suitable for the silty soil in the HRD. | Yunuo Liu Guoqing Lin Yan Zhang Shenggui Deng Lei Guo Tao Liu | 2023 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2023,42,11: | 0
