| 4 | Microstructure and strength of a tantalum-tungsten alloy after cold rolling from small to large strains显示文摘Microstructural evolution of a refractory tantalum-tungsten alloy(Ta-4%W)after cold rolling from small to large von-Mises strains(0.12-2.7)was quantitatively studied using transmission electron microscopy.Grain subdivision was observed to take place at two levels.Geometrically necessary boundaries nearly paralleling to slip planes enclosed volumes further divided by diffuse cells and by remnants of Taylor lattices.With increasing strain,the diffuse cells evolved into clear incidental dislocation boundaries enclosing cells,while the Taylor lattices disappeared.Grain subdivision was thus intermediate between those observed in cell forming and in non-cell forming alloys.Meanwhile,the average misorientation angle across all boundaries increased while the average boundary spacing decreased.Distributions of the microstructural parameters at each strain level were found to exhibit universal scaling laws.The microstructural evolution was found closely linking to the observed high strength and strain hardening of this alloy.Based on measured microstructural parameters,the flow stress was calculated utilizing linearly addition of the strengthening by solutes,incidental dislocation boundaries(Taylor strengthening)and geometrically necessary boundaries(Hall-Petch equation).The relative contribution of each strength mechanism evolved with increasing strain and with microstructural evolution:solutes and friction stress dominated at small strains while boundaries dominated at larger strains.Calculated strengths were in close agreement with experimental tension tests and demonstrated an unexpectedly high and continuous parabolic hardening without transition across this large strain range. | Guoqiang Ma Darcy A.Hughes Andrew W.Godfrey Qiang Chen Niels Hansena Guilin Wu | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,24: | 3 |

| 8 | Refinery production scheduling toward Industry 4.0显示文摘Understanding the holistic relationship between refinery production scheduling(RPS) and the cyber-physical production environment with smart scheduling is a new question posed in the study of process systems engineering. Here, we discuss state-of-the-art RSPs in the crude-oil refining field and present examples that illustrate how smart scheduling can impact operations in the high-performing chemical process industry. | 10 | Impaired motor control after sport-related concussion could increase risk for musculoskeletal injury:Implications for clinical management and rehabilitation显示文摘This review presents a conceptual framework and supporting evidence that links impaired motor control after sport-related concussion(SRC)to increased risk for musculoskeletal injury.Multiple studies have found that athletes who are post-SRC have higher risk for musculoskeletal injury compared to their counterparts.A small body of research suggests that impairments in motor control are associated with musculoskeletal injury risk.Motor control involves the perception and processing of sensory information and subsequent coordination of motor output within the central nervous system to perform a motor task.Motor control is inclusive of motor planning and motor learning.If sensory information is not accurately perceived or there is interference with sensory information processing and cognition,motor function will be altered,and an athlete may become vulnerable to injury during sport participation.Athletes with SRC show neuroanatomic and neurophysiological changes relevant to motor control even after meeting return to sport criteria,including a normal neurological examination,resolution of symptoms,and return to baseline function on traditional concussion testing.In conjunction,altered motor function is demonstrated after SRC in muscle activation and force production,movement patterns,balance/postural stability,and motor task performance,especially performance of a motor task paired with a cognitive task(i.e.,dual-task condition).The clinical implications of this conceptual framework include a need to intentionally address motor control impairments after SRC to mitigate musculoskeletal injury risk and to monitor motor control as the athlete progresses through the return to sport continuum. | Terese L.Chmielewski Justin Tatman Shuhei Suzuki MaryBeth Horodyski Darcy S.Reisman Russell M.Bauer James R.Clugston Daniel C.Herman | 2021 | Journal of Sport and Health Science2021,10,2: | 2 |
